I'm onto week six now dose is 5, and over 1stone down. I have had a long weekend booked for over a year now (the weekend after next) with a very fancy meal out. I am really struggling to eat any more than 800 calories a day and nothing at all fatty. Has anyone skipped a week to go on holiday for instance? I have googled and it seems like it might be OK but would like to know if anyone has tried it and how it went?

I haven't personally skipped a week but a lot do that I see on Facebook groups I am on. Some skip and don't have the suppression and food noise comes back so they eat and drink on holiday but others say they still had suppression and no food noise even though they skipped a week. Apparently it stays in your system for 3 weeks before it clears out of your body.
If I was going on holiday I would take it, I can put on 8ib or more easily on an all inclusive but depends on the type of holiday you are going on and if you want to eat and drink more but bear in mind you might gain! Have a nice time

I haven’t researched or even thought about this before now but might it be an option to drop down a dose so you’re still continuing the MJ but also you can enjoy your food/drink too? That way it won’t be such a shock to the system when you get back from holiday and restart?

LaGioiosanotLeviosa · 10/09/2025 15:46

Got my 5th jab tomorrow and I’m so hungry today! Managing to just keep going and within my calories but it’s definitely a struggle. It’s mad how some people have so much suppression and others really have to work at it!

NeedSleepNow · 10/09/2025 16:52

I'm close to the end of week 7 now and haven't lost anything for 2 weeks now. I lost a stone in the first 4 weeks, 2 pounds the following week and nothing since despite eating very sensibly and upping my water intake this week. I will definitely be moving up to 5mg for my next pen.

LaGioiosanotLeviosa · 10/09/2025 20:36

So my day 7 hunger has resulted in me eating more calories today than I’m supposed to. Came in at just under 1500 so not great and hope it doesn’t effect the scales in the morning 😞

jan2310 · 10/09/2025 20:50

6 week weigh in today. I haven’t lost any weight at all in the last 2 weeks. Feeling a bit disheartened, but trying to focus on the fact that I’ve lost 13lb overall. I’ve been sticking with 2.5mg, although for the last couple of weeks injecting again after 5 days but I think I’m going to increase to 3.75 next time.

timestressed · 10/09/2025 20:54

SW 81.2
CW 74.4
Lost 8.4% of my SW
W6d7 today and 7th jab od 2.5mg of MJ. So far so good, Hunger suppression varies but I am now, I think settled in a good routine of what I eat and when. My portions are much smaller than 7 weeks ago. In fact I had to stop veg box delivery, it was just too much for just the 2 of us to go through. I hope everyone is doing well and you are all settled in some kind of routine.
My only side effects is what is happening to my stomach when I get stressed. I feel discomfort and practically no otc medicine I've used so far has helped. In the past I would eat to numb that unpleasant feeling similar to pangs of hunger. Now I have no urge to eat and just have to wait it out. I wonder what others do in similar situation? I know I should manage my emotions when they start to bubble out.

I'm the same as you @jan2310 I've not lost in the last two weeks. I'm feeling quite disappointed today as I've been trying really hard this week. I wonder if I'm eating too many calories, or maybe not enough.

I’ve just ordered my 3rd 2.5 Mounjaro pen from Asda and it’s gone up from £120 to £170. Obviously, I knew this was going to happen, but it’s still a bit painful. Are any of you getting it (from a reputable source) for less than that? Or is that the going price?

This is why I decided on starting Wegovy as I didn’t think I’d be able to afford Mounjaro especially as it gets more expensive the higher the dose x

I'm with asda as well, I was hoping to move up to 5mg but it's £200 now. I think I will try to switch provider this month to save a bit of money. @Ambernectarine22 have you looked at monj.co.uk it lists the current prices for various providers:

I took my 4th injection today. I lost a whole 0.5lb this week! Not great but it’s still in the right direction. I’ve lost 6.5lb since I started. I was hoping to have lost more by this point 😟 but at least the scales are going down instead of up.

LaGioiosanotLeviosa · 11/09/2025 14:12

So I’ve completed 4 weeks now and lost just over 10lbs! Quite pleased with that and now just about to do my first dose of 5mg.
Tried to do my golden dose but messed it up by worrying about air bubbles so primed it too much and lost most of the dose. What an idiot! Will try again next time!

Weirdly i did my 3rd jab Sunday eve and had upset tummy yesterday and today! Not had that after my first two jabs

Hi, I ended up practically sleeping the day away until my daughters party and dragged myself downstairs.
today, I have felt so dizzy/faint and unwell it’s unreal, I have an absolute constant thirst, I must have drank about 7 bottles of water. I can’t shake this feeling it’s awful. I have tried drinking full sugar cola, sugary tea, eating chocolate as well as 3 full meals and still can’t shake it

I feel dreadful tonight. So sick and I’ve got a terrible headache. I hope I feel better in the morning.

SkinnyOatFlatWhiteForMePlease · 11/09/2025 23:03

I’m somewhere between a sperm whales brain and a small car tyre 🤯.

8th Jab done, I can’t believe how quickly the weeks are passing. I’m liking the routine of Jab on a Friday and weigh in on a Tuesday as I’m WFH that day so no rush.

Clothes feeling looser and my bra feels less full - anything’s an improvement from a 38HH.

reluctantbrit · 12/09/2025 08:10

8th jab today. I have the new pen in and stay with 5mg for the moment.

SW: 99.4
CW: 91.5
GW: 60 (ideally, I settle for anything between 70-65 for the start, seems less daunting)

Lost nearly 2lb in the last 10 days despite a week-long business trip with alcohol and general crap eating, so a bit proud of it.

I am between: I can't eat a lot and clearing a plate. But I found I eat a lot less carb, DH is a bit meh at weekends that I don't eat toast in the morning anymore, but I find that my blood sugar spikes fast when I do this and then I feel awful.

I definitley see a change in how clothes fit, I may have to shop for some tops as some of my work ones look a bit tent-style.

anon2022anon · 12/09/2025 12:14

Hi! Can I ask those who have stayed on 2.5 for their second pen- do you wish you had gone up? Or was it still as effective?

I'm on week 3 of my 1st 2.5 pen, and I ordered a 5mg before the price increase, but I'm wondering whether to stay on the 2.5mg for another month. I've seen a few people say they've got to week 5/6 and felt like they've needed to go up, so wanted to gauge opinions first. So far, I'm about 12lb down in 3.5 weeks, so it's more than doing the trick so far, but it hasn't got rid of the sugar cravings for me.

MrJollyLivesNextDoor · 12/09/2025 12:31

I’m between 10 dozen large eggs and a sperm whale’s brain.

Not something I’d ever thought I’d say about myself but here we are.

I’m in week 7 and stayed on 2.5 as I was worried about the side effects on 5. I’m regretting it now as I’m not feeling any effects at all from 2.5 and I haven’t lost any weight for 2 weeks although I’ve been quite disciplined with eating. I’m using a 5mg pen and doing 30 clicks for 2.5. For the last week I jabbed again on day 5 but I still don’t feel any effects. I’m going to try 3.75 for my next jab and if all ok then 5.

I have gone 40 clicks of a 5 pen for a 3.33 dose and feel like that’s enough for me at the moment.

Thanks. I might try that. I find the Shotsy app helpful for getting an idea of the level in my body so will see how 40
clicks feels. I’m at home for a few days next week so feel happy to go a bit higher in case I have side effects

I'm on W3 of 2.5 and have bought second pen of 2.5

i was going to do 3.75 but my maths isn't mathing and i don't think i can do that with a 2.5 pen sadly!
