Hello all, good to see everyone's progress and supportive sharing of advice and tips 🤗I'm now on week 6, I went up to 5mg after a month and planning to stay on 5 as that seems adequate for me (plus felt awful transitioning up from 2.5!)
SW: 102kg
CW: 93.8kg
TW: 90kg
This is the slimmest I have been in years, maybe 8 years? It feels like magic to me as previously I would always get stuck at 95kg and couldn't lose more. When I reach 90kg I will just be overweight and not obese anymore which I am so happy about. One of the biggest things for me was that I was starting to get major problems with my knees and my back nearly always hurt - I was routinely (often daily) taking ibuprofen and paracetamol for aches and pains and haven't felt the need to use these for 2 weeks. I strongly agree with what others are saying about eating right and getting protein in at every meal. In case it's of any interest to anyone, this is what I'm eating:
Breakfast: Fage Total Greek yogurt )% fat 200g (108kcal) plus blueberries, rasps and strawbs (100kcal)
Lunch: Some sort of protein, usually Chicken breast (165kcals) but sometimes boiled egg, cottage cheese or prawns, plus salad (100kcal) and 3 oatcakes (138kcal)
Dinner: Whatever family is having but just eat smaller portion, aiming for protein and veg making up most of the plate and keeping carbs to a quarter of plate.
In total I think I usually have about 1200 calories a day, I will also snack on an apple, satsuma, banana or a handful of nuts sometimes mid morning or late afternoon. I'm drinking 2 litres of water a day and taking the following supplements: B12 complex (contains vitamin C and D), Cod Liver Oil, Zinc and Magnesium, Marine Collagen and Psyllium Husk. I walk about 10km a day with my dogs and try to go swimming once weekly and get in a 5k run each week also.
Good luck everyone on continued journey, you are doing great!!!
ps I noticed a lot of people mentioning sleep difficulties, sometimes in our family we use Melatonin if we need a good night's sleep, you can buy it from this company: https://www.biovea.com/uk. Shouldn't be mixed with alcohol.
