W5D1 lost 1.4kg this week and for the first time my BMI is just under 30 so I’m no longer ‘obese’ but now just ‘overweight’
SW 87kg
CW 82.2kg
GW 65-70kg

Well done 👏

I haven’t been looking at my BMI but you’ve just prompted me to check…

Started at 35.7
Currently 33.3

I’ve lost a stone so far (sorry I only operate in old money, kgs are just numbers to me!) and oh dear my 11 stone goal still leaves me in the overweight category 😕

I need to be 10st 6 to get to 25.1 BMI therefore this will be my new goal.

In other news I tried on a couple of size 14 summer holiday dresses this morning which are now just about wearable but another stone will see them fit very nicely thank you… I did suggest to DH that we will need to go on holiday in October so that I can wear them… he said these jabs are going to cost a fortune at this rate!

@LnicMJI took the golden dose on Sunday, no adverse effects, go for it!

@Pollypot25I was expecting to have to use the insulin syringe which I wasn’t looking forward to, luckily some brute force from DH made the pen usable.

@ElliebearbluesMJ here, is Wegovy much cheaper now than MJ? I stocked up before the price increase so won’t be affected until Jan 26

You must be a similar height to me (5’5”?) - I was aiming for 11st as my target weight but I need to get to 10 1/2 to be under 25 BMI. I still think in stone and lbs too but weigh in kg for the exact reason that they don’t mean anything to me!

Yes similar, I’m 5’4”

The last time I was 10.5 stone was 25 years ago - I am so ready to be slim again, bring it on!

PS @MrJollyLivesNextDoor well done on the dresses! I think you definitely deserve a lovely sunny holiday to show off your new figure ☀️👗

saywhaaaaaat · 09/09/2025 10:24

Feeling better today. I think definitely just an off day. I'm home alone with just one kid this week, so I'm a bit out of sync and thus meals are out of sync.

Today I'm going to chug a load of water, eat some protein, take my supplements and just be kind to myself.

JoRaRaRa · 09/09/2025 10:25

I put on a pound last week and felt a bit disappointed (I have a lot to lose, thought I'd eaten well, drank plenty of water and wasn't due on so done everything 'right'), well this week, I've lost 4lbs!! 😁 Week 5, 11lbs lost ❤️

Yes Wegovy is cheaper that’s what persuaded me to go for that as the price hike hasn’t affected Wegovy x

Just a thought for those who have stocked up - take a photo of all your boxes together with the prescription label / dates showing. When you reorder in a few months time there will be a gap in your ordering history so you’ll need to show you have been taking it continuously and haven’t had a break.

Brilliant idea! Will do that now 😁

Funnily enough I kept the box from my 1st pen as in case I needed the script details.

Hi all. Been quiet for a while & just getting on with things. Just prior to taking MJ I was prescribed utrogestan. As MJ can affect absorption of hormones my prescribing pharmacy advised I take them vaginally rather than orally which I have been doing for the last 5 weeks. I have now had light bleeding for the last 10 days which seems to suggest that the absorption of utrogestan is still being affected. I have made an appointment with my GP but that’s not for 2 weeks. Anyone had any experience of this? As a side note, anyone else with Pharmacy2U and have been unable to get support from the online dr? Been given runaround today.

Lemon1111 · 09/09/2025 18:10

hi all just wondering if anyone has switched to wegovy yet? I have my first pen to start this week and I’m a little anxious

That’s interesting to know. I’m on Utrogestan and for the first couple of weeks of being on the jabs I had quite a lot of bleeding although it seems to have stopped now. I did read on another post that it was a possibility so I wasn’t too concerned and it seemed to settle down. I have a friend, not on the jabs, who takes Utrogestan vaginally so I was thinking of trying it.

Hopefully it will settle down for you but worth getting checked by your GP if not.

peanutbutty · 09/09/2025 20:38

I took my fourth jab on Saturday. Nausea and acid definitely better, but I am now feeling some hunger. I also feel I made a mistake weighing myself on Monday morning, I have reached the weight I always stall at.

In the interests of honestly - since that weigh in, yesterday and today I found myself craving and forcing down chocolate that I didn't even really want. I'm still around maintenance cals or possibly slightly over but it made me wonder, am I somehow trying to sabotage myself and not get below this weight. What does that mean, why would I do it?

I'm going to try and ignore scales and just focus on process for the next week while, eating nutritious food that won't make me feel sick.

Thanks @jan2310. Will let you know how I get on. I suspect Dr will suggest a HRT patch which combines oestrogen & progesterone- although there was a pretty good reason why this wasn’t her advice initially (but this was before MJ).

I never done weight loss jabs before and did my first one this evening, hope I don’t get any horrible side effects. Good luck I’m sure you’ll be fine xx

sfraxx · 10/09/2025 07:21

Good morning everyone,

I’ve been awake for the last hour sick as a dog and polar opposite from not being able to do the toilet😫 I’m not sure if I maybe have a sickness and tummy bug or it’s side effects but I haven’t had this with the previous 2 jabs. This is just my luck. It’s my daughter’s birthday and we have so much on today with her party and I have the hairdressers in 2 hours. Not good at all🤦🏽‍♀️
oh how I wish I could just stay in bed today, hopefully I can fight my way through today. We’re away on holiday tomorrow too and have a 7.5 hour drive🙈xxx

SkinnyOatFlatWhiteForMePlease · 10/09/2025 08:16

Oh no @sfraxx, is it your third 2.5? If so I would be inclined to think tummy bug if you were ok with the first two.

justjuggling · 10/09/2025 09:24

1 piddly pound off this week. ONE! And I’ve been hungry all week. 🙄 Disappointed as it was my second week on 5mgs. Really don’t want to have to go up to 7.5 yet. Going to be more focussed this week and see I can get the 3 off I need for 2 stone!

Bluefloor · 10/09/2025 09:29

Finally I have reached the next stone bracket! SW: 14 stone 0lbs
CW: 12 stone 11lbs
I’ve still got 1 stone 11lbs to get to my target, but it’s a relief to be at this point already. 🥲

Weirdly i did my 3rd jab Sunday eve and had upset tummy yesterday and today! Not had that after my first two jabs

Booksandcheese · 10/09/2025 13:48

I'm onto week six now dose is 5, and over 1stone down. I have had a long weekend booked for over a year now (the weekend after next) with a very fancy meal out. I am really struggling to eat any more than 800 calories a day and nothing at all fatty. Has anyone skipped a week to go on holiday for instance? I have googled and it seems like it might be OK but would like to know if anyone has tried it and how it went?

Haribosweets · 10/09/2025 14:45

Hi, been about a week since I posted! 2ib loss for me taking me to 13ib in 4 weeks. Almost a stone but not quite! I am happy though and someone noticed and actually asked me if I have lost weight which made me feel better.
I am starting month 2 today still on 2.5. I have a lot of suppression and have to force myself to eat or drink protein shakes to get the calories. I hope it stays that way, I have not craved any sweets or chocolate (even when stressed) which is so unusual for me.
I went out for a meal last weekend and a chicken and sauce dish with rice and I could hardly manage it as was full after a few spoonfuls! I told my friends who I was with in the end as they seemed worried why I wasn't eating much!
@sfraxx I hope you feel better now although not nice going on holiday and your DD birthday today. I would say a bug too rather than the MJ as you have been ok.

CW 11.9
GW 9.7
