Morning all 👋

Not sure why I’m so cheery seeing as I’ve put 1lb on 😆😆😆😆😆😖😖😖 well it’s technically half a lb but even so!

Ive been in a bit of a funk this last week - work really stressful, been really tired all week (I think from work stress) and haven’t been on treadmill ALL WEEK - 1st time since August 😳, haven’t been hungry as such and as a result have eaten too much chocolate, not enough water blah blah.

oh well hopefully this week will be better!

SW 14:12
CW 11:10
GW 10:06

Onwards 💪

Bad time for me at the moment.

I broke my shoulder 10 days ago and really struggle moving around so while I thought I moved down my calorie intake I still gained.

Well, I think I just have to accept that I am not being able to do any more than moving from chair to bed and back again. It is really difficult and especially one-handed eating means I will live far too much on pasta.

MrJollyLivesNextDoor · 01/03/2026 18:57

@reluctantbrit sorry to hear this!

The Gym Kitchen do some nice convenient microwaveable pouches, piri piri grains, tikka or bbq lentils…each pouch around 300 cals and 20g of protein. I’ve only tried the grains so far and they are nice, DS likes them with baked salmon (even more protein).

Microwave cauliflower rice is a good alternative to pasta I find.

I absolutely hate cauliflower rice though but will look at the grains.

Hello,

done a wee weigh in today and I’ve somehow gained 1.8lbs in 2 days. No idea how I’ve managed that, I’ve stayed within calorie deficit, exercised as normal and stayed at the same water intake.
I’ve somehow lost 2lbs in a month and it’s really just getting me down, I’m doing everything the same but nothing is happening. I was always consistent with 1/2lbs per week. I’m on 5mg at the moment and don’t really fancy upping to 7.5mg as I’m still trying to manage side effects from moving to the 5mg. I still have huge suppression too so not sure what good it would be upping to 7mg.
im going to refrain from weighing myself until Sunday now and can only hope for the best. I’m so close to my next goal yet its just going so slowly.

here’s hoping I have a better week next week lol!

twilightcafe · 03/03/2026 11:55

Hello - I'm still on 5mg and determined to stay on this dosage level for as long as possible. Appetite suppression and feeling full are still there, so I am not convinced that 7.5 is needed for now.

I fluctuated around the 17st 10 mark for a good month - but was still fitting into a size 16 trousers. I did jump up to 18st again but am putting that down to hormonal bloat.

Got on the gym scales this morning - and have made it to 17st 5 at last. I'm so pleased.

Next non-scale goal is size 14 trousers. I can just about do them up but no chance of being able to sit down or breathe!

SW: 19st 11
CW: 17st 5
GW: 13st (keeps changing but 12-14st would be great)

Have you tried the cauliflower rice shallow fried in tiny bit of oil until it changes colour - it becomes quite nutty and makes it much nicer, more like rice

Sorry about your shoulder (to the PP). I wonder if your pound gain is not true weight gain, but water retention while your body adjusts to less activity? Don't be disheartened. Weigh again next week.. You might be surprised.

Also, to the other two PP who put on a pound or didn't lose much, also don't be disheartened. We stall a bit sometimes, but it will pick up again! Trust in the process.

I stalled for a couple of weeks, and then put on a pound last week. It was the first gain I'd had in 7 months. But I'd just started taking probiotics, and think it may have been down to bloating/water retention. But I weighed myself today, and had lost 3 lbs, which is a whoosh for me as I've slowed right down recently! I'm only losing half a pound to a pound a week now.

SW: 15 st 11 bs
CW: 12 st 11 lbs
GW: 12 st.

3 stone lost altogether!

Still on 2.5 mg.

My NSV is that I've just started a new job, which is outdoors and very physical, and I feel fit and well while I'm working. I don't think I'd have managed this before. Or at least, it wouldn't have been comfortable.

AsteriaBuffy · 04/03/2026 15:11

Hi all!

I've stalled this week as well - no change since last week. To be fair it was a bit of a full on week for socialising (unusually) so prob ate and drank more.

It occurred to me that as we lose weight we burn fewer calories doing the same amount of activity. I guess that's why you have to also try and maintain/build muscle mass since you presumably don't need as much muscle to move 12 stone as you do 15 stone iyswim. Hmm.

Started taking creatine this week - only 3 days so far. I'm already on collagen.

SW 14 st 7
CW 12 st 12
GW not sure - when I don't feel fat any more I guess - prob somewhere between 11 and 12 realistically

SkinnyOatFlatWhiteForMePlease · 05/03/2026 09:29

Hi everyone, apologies for going AWOL. I have been having a few tests and put on new medication with the top side effect being bloat, I am feeling sorry for myself and the Easter chocolate in the pantry has been talking to me in ways the Christmas chocolate just didn’t. I am still on 5mg but thinking it’s perhaps time to move up to 7.5mg, 30 weeks in and my first ever gain too.
I have told myself it’s back to basics this week.

AsteriaBuffy · 05/03/2026 10:53

Hearing you on the chocolate 😬I've been having a small bit most days anyway (in the interests of trying to eat 'normally') but recently def been over-indulging, which of course doesn't help. Going to be strict today!

twilightcafe · 05/03/2026 11:12

I've thought of another NSV - I am now a Size L for bottoms in Primark and Sainsbury's.

Have also dropped a back size in bras. Thank God for the current M&S sale.

LaGioiosanotLeviosa · 05/03/2026 15:10

Stayed the same this week but pretty sure it’s because it’s my time of the month so I’m sure something will drop off in a few days time.
Its nice to be able to think like this now instead of completely panicking!

AsteriaBuffy · 05/03/2026 15:15

Urk, just read that creatine causes water retention in the muscles, increasing body weight as well as muscle-buildability.. Not sure I've thought this through lol. Suppose it's not a bad thing overall, just annoying weight wise!

Wellfuckme · 06/03/2026 08:48

3lb off this week.

SW 18st 8lb
CW 14st 4lb
7.5mg pen

I can't believe that the 13st bracket is within reach. Only a few months ago, I wouldn't even have dreamed about being able to do this.

sfraxx · 09/03/2026 12:06

Good afternoon,

bit of a better weigh in for me this Monday. 2lbs off and I’m surprised as it’s that time of the month I expected a little gain to accommodate.
Done my injection around 9:30am and as always, a couple hours later the nausea just hits me. I’ll spend the rest of today just so exhausted and feeling sick. Hopefully tomorrow will be a bit better. I’m glad I’m off work on Mondays as I can’t imagine being there feeling like this every week lol.

does everyone else still feel awful on injection day? I thought this would wear off eventually. That was my last does of my 5th pen. New pen next Monday, so injection will be a bit later as pharmacist is on holiday and the stand in isn’t trained on weight loss. He’s back Monday so just need to be there for opening lol!

SW before MJ - 13st11lbs
SW with MJ - 12st3lbs
CW - 9st10lb
GW - 9st4lbs

now officially lost 4st altogether.
my new gw of 9st4lbs is really top end of healthy bmi but hoping once I reach this to come off mj and just try and maintain as long as there is no gain I’ll be happy. I’m only 5ft1 so I think 9st7lb is the cut off for healthy BMI.
i haven’t been a healthy bmi since I was about 14, so it’s really nice to be almost there but also, it’s taking its time now lol.
xx

twilightcafe · 09/03/2026 12:15

I can't say I have any nausea. Perhaps try injecting before you go to bed, so the symptoms kick in while you're asleep?
Worth a try!

Yeah. I tried doing night time at the start, but then felt the same all day the next day. Must just be how I am with the medication. At least it’s only one day lol x

TheArtfulCrow · 09/03/2026 13:16

Hi everyone.

I didn't post or weigh myself last weekend as I was away on holidays for a few days. I skipped my dose last week too so I jabbed on Saturday after a two week break. I gained a pound in the two weeks so not a disaster however I am just finishing my period so think Ill be back on track next week.

I have two doses of my 5mg pen left, which Im gonna take fortnightly and then get a 2.5mg and do the same with it. I'm hoping by the time I get to that stage the remaining bit of weight will be shifted and I'll be adjusted to life without it but we will see how that plan goes 😅.

CW: 11st 2lbs
GW: 10st

I did get nausea + terrible burps and heartburn even with night time injections. I've never been travel sick in my life but for the first few months I could barely travel by car/ bus which was unfortunate in terms of getting to work! The nausea has mostly worn off by now (I'm still on 5g so not exactly rocketing up the doses) but I get the odd wave - usually its 2-3 days in for me. I drink a lot of peppermint or nettle tea and focus on breathing. Yesterday was bad and I was making lots of "Wooooooo" noises as I tried to breath slowly bw meetings. As you say I think thats just how our bodies handle it.

peanutbutty · 10/03/2026 19:00

still here, still plodding quite slowly on the scale, 15kg lost after a few weeks plateau, trying not to compare myself to others. Delighted to report my rolls of back fat definitely lessening, new jeans etc getting looser too. I did my first full 5mg dose in a while on Friday and boy did I feel it. Onwards onwards. Well done everyone!!

JoRaRaRa · 10/03/2026 19:35

I've not posted for ages as I've not been losing weight after my initial 1 and a half stone 😕 I bulk bought a lot of 5s and 7.5s before the price hike in September so I've been using them. I haven't put on weight, so I felt I had to keep taking it to stop me putting on even though I didn't feel like it was benefiting me, plus I had it all stacked up in my fridge 🙈 I've moved up to 10 now and finally the scales are moving again and I can actually feel it working 🙌

MrJollyLivesNextDoor · 10/03/2026 19:53

Forgot to update on Sunday but have lost the 1lb that I gained so that’s a relief.
I’m exercising again after my week off so hopefully that will help this week.

Back to basics definitely helped this week and 3lbs off. Hoping to be in the 11st bracket by Easter.

SW 222 lbs
CW 170 lbs
GW 147 lbs but that could change

reluctantbrit · 11/03/2026 08:12

While being sideline thanks to the shoulder fracture and not being mobile, I had to adjust my daily calorie intake but it seems I'm starting to lose again. Small amounts, less than a lb, but at least I'm not feeling I'm sitting and eating and I'm undoing all the work I did for the last seven months.

Obviously that means goalweight is a lot further away than I originally hoped. But the good news is that several of my tops I originally thought I can already put away and now great as I managed to get them in with the shoulder fractures, so I don't have to pay out for clothes which are too big.
