Afternoon!
Official weigh day today: Im 1lb up from before Xmas. I'm not disheartened: I did "live well" over the festive season with not much exercise.

Back on the wagon now. I'll stick with 5mg for the foreseeable.

Non-scale victories -
Size 18 is too big; I am wearing size 16 trousers. I was a 20 in August.
I can cross my legs with ease again.
I can't stop feeling my collarbones!
AND I've had to buy smaller bras ... and they all came from M&S.
SW 19st 11
CW 17st 11.5
GW: 12st

Well done everyone! Some really good achievements here! We've got this! 🥳

reluctantbrit · 11/01/2026 10:36

Weight-in day:

SW: 99.4kg
CW: 81.4kg
GW: next one is around 70kg and I go from there. I think I will try to go to 65kg and a bit below to see if I can settle around the mid-60kg range.

That is a total loss of exact 18kg in 24 weeks.

I am down with a cold from hell, spend 3 days in bed and was craving carbs to give me energy. And still lost 0.8kg in 10 days.

Sw - 15stone
Cw- 11 st 12
Gw - 10st 7

I'm losing track of weeks now, I think this is week 24 or 25 for me?

I'll be starting my second pen of 7.5mg later today. I toyed with the idea of moving back down to 5 as I have had quite a lot of nausea since moving up but that seemed a little better last week so I'm going to stick at 7.5mg again and see how I get on.

My scales weren't showing any loss a couple of days ago when I last weighed myself and the battery had run out today so I can't do a proper weigh in this week, I'm just assuming I've stayed the same. I've had a nsv though as my trousers are getting very loose and I managed to get back in to a dress I haven't worn in a long time which I was delighted about!

Hi you lovely lot 👋

Week 22 weigh in and 3lb lost this week! Feels great after staying the same last week, I guess it’s a lesson to me to not stress out week by week as it all evens out over time 🙂

Almost 3st down (2st 12 lost to be precise) and my goodness do I ever feel great about myself 😎

DH and I went out out last night (ELO tribute band lol) and for the first time in ages going out I felt really good in what I wore, felt confident and attractive, didn’t want to cover myself in multiple layers, didn’t want to hide body shape etc etc.

Only 1lb to go to get into the 11st bracket and only 2lb to go to have lost 3st.

Well done to us all for taking the plunge, deciding to take control, changing habits and mindset, counting calories, increasing exercise….we are all smashing this 👏💪

Good afternoon everyone,

I hope everyone is doing well.
i had 10th jag day yesterday. I went up to the 5mg, and what a good time because my whole house is so ill with the flu at the moment including myself. So I’m already too unwell to notice side effects lol.
my party dress came today and I dragged myself out of bed to try it on. And it fits, I’m in awe I cannot believe I have a size 10 dress although it’s about 2ft too long but I’d rather too long than too tight lol. I weighed yesterday and I’m still the same, not surprised considering I haven’t been to the toilet in around 5 days, I got my totm on Sunday which is great timing, I’m just all round ill from every angle lol.

we’re away for a weekend break in Ireland this weekend so I’m hoping to kick it for then.

hope everyone’s well x

Hello everyone, great to see all the positivity on here and everyone doing so well. I'm continuing to lose weight gradually on 5mg:
SW: 102kg
CW: 84kg
GW: 76.5
So like @reluctantbrit I have also lost 18kg in 24 weeks, almost 3 stone in old money. I was wondering about what to do when I reach my goal weight, which is now coming into view, possibly I will get there by mid-March judging by progress so far. Will Asda stop prescribing Mountjaro if I'm a healthy weight? I feel a bit scared about stopping using MJ as afraid of putting weight back on again. I had to take new photos to get my last pen, that was on Christmas Eve, I wondered how long the photos last as evidence? Someone told me they had a friend who reached goal weight and took the photo of their feet on scales while wearing a heavy rucksack 😂but Asda still declined their prescription saying they didn't look like they needed to lose weight!

SkinnyOatFlatWhiteForMePlease · 13/01/2026 16:32

I had my first ever gain this week, 0.25 of a pound but still a gain after two weeks of staying the same. Within my calories but perhaps time to adjust them now I have lost 3 stone and concentrate on hitting my protein target etc.

reluctantbrit · 13/01/2026 17:43

@Jean74 I am under the impression that you will be moved to a maintenance dose of 2.5mg to stay at your goal weight.

It's actually something I will check when I have my next review sometime in April (unless I reach goal earlier but I doubt it).

Some people say that going cold turkey can cause problems with hunger pains and fast re-gaining as you suddenly have all your food noises back.

@Jean74 I'm also with asda and have been wondering about their maintenance plans. I've lost just over 3 stone so far and have around 1-1.5st left to go until my goal, which I hope to have lost by the end of April.

I'm only around 4 lbs away from being in the healthy bmi range now and they emailed me recently about maintenance, I think when you are ready you request to switch to their maintenance plan. There's some info on their website and I've screenshoted part of it, it looks like they shouldn't just cut you off when you get to a healthy bmi. The link to all the info on their site is:

August 25 Starters - Thread 2
MrJollyLivesNextDoor · 13/01/2026 20:20

I had an email from Asda this week which contained this info:

Updated treatment advice: restarting treatment is now easier
We’ve recently updated our treatment advice to further support our patients. You can now restart your weight loss treatment if you have a lower BMI than previously. Our doctors will check if you can safely continue. This means:
You don’t need to worry if your weight or circumstances have changed
If you were previously prescribed a weight loss treatment with us, you may still be eligible to restart
A doctor will simply review your new request to make sure your treatment remains safe and appropriate.

Hi all!

Not much to report from here, still plodding. Bit stuck for the last week or so.

Been on 6.25mg for about four weeks, will stick with that dose for 1 more week before possibly going up. Trying to keep the doses as low as I can as now a bit worried about coming off it (though nowhere near goal weight yet). I think when I do come off I'll have to taper rather than go cold turkey.

SW 14st 7lb
CW 13st 2lb
TW 10st 7lb

Clothes size, gone from a 20 to 18 trousers. Tops I was wearing mainly 20s because of tummy issues, though shoulders were def more a 16/18. Now buying size 18 tops, tummy is much improved! Height 5 foot 3.

Wellfuckme · 16/01/2026 08:23

Morning all. Only 1lb loss for me this week, same as last week. Starting to feel despondent and trying to focus on the fact that it is still a loss.

SW 18st 8lb
CW 15st 7lb
Constipation is a little better but if I am starting to plateau then do I go up a dose? Currently on 7.5mg, didn't really want to go up to 10mg but will if its needed. Ive still got 4 doses of 7.5mg so will see how I get on.

I have got a question- due to go on holiday abroad in May. Can I just stop taking it for 2 weeks and then pick up again at same dose? Do I tritrate down between now and then so back on starting 2.5mg? I don't really want to take it with me as DH doesn't know that I am on MJ.

Thank you @NeedSleepNow that's very reassuring to know, having lost all this weight I really don't want to regain it : )

TheArtfulCrow · 17/01/2026 11:37

Weigh in day and I've lost nothing this week. I dropped down to 5mg from 7.5mg and have been hungrier but still unable to eat big portions. I am constipated though, its been a frequent problem throughout my journey. Maybe when I eventually go the scales will move 🤣

Hope it eases soon, I find I get constipated quickly too, especially if I don’t drink enough water.

SW 14st 13½ lb
CW 11st 12½ lb
GW 11st - 11 ½ st

43lb lose overall so far.

I haven't posted for a while, just been quietly getting on with it. I only went up to the 5mg dose and have felt enough suppression to stay at this level throughout.

I'm starting to think/worry about how I'm going to maintain. My DH is supportive of me staying on it long term but I'm not sure how I'll afford that but then I can't 'afford' to put the weight back on either.

I contacted Asda to check about maintaince dose and was told I could stay on my current dose if I wanted too.

I've heard that Eli Lilly are going to be removing the extra medication from the mounjaro pens to stop us using the extra dose. Does anyone know when this is meant to be happening?

Going to go back a few pages to catch up on how you're all doing.

I was suffering really bad (once in 9 days and vomiting when i did go) with constipation but have started taking magnesium supplement last week and I've been 4 times this week. Don't know if its down to this but it might be worth trying.

sfraxx · 18/01/2026 20:19

Good evening everyone,

I hope everyone has had a lovely weekend.
well coming to the end of the 2nd week on my 5mg pen, 1st week at 5mg. Jag day tomorrow, and so far I’ve been ok. No side effects at all? Weird lol! I did have Covid this week so was very poorly with that, didn’t have the time or energy to feel crap with the mj too. But suppression has been amazing, I actually injected below my belly button as everyone said above was best but I’ve had no suppression that area, so back to the bottom. I’m actually over in Dublin for a family wedding this weekend, heading home tomorrow so I didn’t bring my pen with me so will do my next injection once home. I think my flight lands around midday so still plenty time.

I did weigh before I left on Friday and was 10st5. So 2lb loss, I’m so happy with that. Even in Ireland this weekend, I haven’t eaten much at all due to still high suppression and no alcohol consumed so hoping the scales aren’t too different on Tuesday.

SW before mj - 13st11
SW with mj - 12st3
CW - 10st5
GW - 9st11

xx

Week 25. Well after staying the same for two weeks over Christmas then gaining half a pound last week I am 2.5lbs down this morning.

SW 222lbs
CW 177.75lbs
GW 147lbs

44.25lbs lost so far.

AsteriaBuffy · 19/01/2026 14:41

Re constipation, magnesium is an absolute must for me. If I miss it for even a day then constipation hits. I take Magnesium Glycinate 3 in 1 which has glycinate, malate and citrate, gentler on the stomach than some of the other magnesium compounds.
