Happy Christmas everyone!
hope you all had a fab festive time! I changed my jab day from Mondays to Wednesdays before Christmas so I could delay two days this week and eat the Christmas Day food with more of an appetite. I had bacon and eggs for breakfast, Christmas lunch and two glasses of wine, grapes and walnuts and a bit of cheese for dinner and I enjoyed it all and no ill effects - but I’m done now and eager to get back to normal food. Cooked family Boxing Day bacon and pancakes and was not interested, was craving my chia pudding and Greek yogurt.
Just jabbed today (Friday) and feel relief that I’m back on track. Totted up my Christmas Day intake - 2000 calories, instead of usual 1200 - and I went for a Christmas Day 4k walk, weighed in today and the difference is less than a pound up so that’s great.
apparently the average Brit eats 6000 calories on Christmas Day alone!!
typical day is apparently
bacon and eggs or smoked salmon
mince pie mid morning
full Christmas lunch
cheese nuts crisps and quality st
random snacks
booze starting from mid morning
I don’t think I could do that any more, I would explode.
