Sorry very boring question here but is everyone eating breakfast and if so what are you eating? Are you prioritizing protein even at breakfast?

Most days (even before MJ) am not hungry so skip it, but I worry that's a habit that doesn't set me up well for rest of the day (I've previously been a mad snacker in the afternoon). I'm torn between feeling pretty silly forcing myself to eat while paying all this money for drugs to make me eat less, and thinking maybe this is the time to build better habits for post MJ life.

Pleeeeeease do not suggest adding protein powder to smoothies, porridge, etc. I would if I could but I assure you that is not for me

I have a protein bagel thin with peanut butter and a banana on it. I love it :)

LaGioiosanotLeviosa · 22/10/2025 20:26

For breakfast I normally just have 2 or 3 scrambled eggs. No toast just the protein which takes the edge off any potential hunger or nausea in the morning but doesn’t sit heavy either.

@Blowingrasberries Sorry to hear about your mum. I’ve just lost mine too. I’ve taken comfort in chocolate and biscuits on a couple of days, but a lot less than I would have done before MJ. Good luck dealing with your dad. Be kind to yourself.

LaGioiosanotLeviosa · 23/10/2025 08:16

Weigh in day for me today and it was a 1lb loss. So in 10 weeks I’ve lost 1.5stone and I’ve had a loss every week.
This weeks loss of a 1lb has made me feel slightly disappointed as I was hoping for two. It’s ridiculous really because by this point normally I would’ve had a plateau and I haven’t yet. I think I just feel panicked that suddenly all the weight is going to stop coming off? Doesn’t anyone else feel like this?
Also I’ve heard that you don’t really drop a dress size until you lose two stone and I really want to go down to a proper 14 so it’s feeling like it’s taking ages but in reality it’s really really not! I think I’ve also realised that I’m going to have to lose an extra stone than what I originally thought meaning getting into the 10 stone region and I’m scared I won’t be able to get there! I guess I’m just really impatient and I need to chill out a bit!

I totally understand where you are coming from.

I didn’t lose anything last week (week 10) having lost at least 2-3lb every week. Even though I knew why, it was still disappointing and made me feel a bit nervous.

I have lost 1lb this week so far (weigh in is Sunday) so I feel happier now.

I think it’s important for me to try and remember that some weeks will be slower than others, it’s inevitable especially as I’ve now lost 1st 10lb (from starting weight 14st 12).

I stood on the scales this morning and it said 12st 13 - I was hoping for 13st 2. Surprised and confused, I weighed again it was in fact 13st 2!! After initially cursing the scales my heart did a little dance knowing the 12st bracket is just around the corner 😃

I’m think I’m also on the cusp of size 14s - my current 16s are starting feel a little tiny bit loose 🤞

I think we all lose heart sometimes, I have had one stall after a bout of constipation in week 8 and only 0.5lb last week.
That said I’m 26lbs lighter than I was 12 weeks ago and teetering so close to the 13’s which having started at almost 16st I am starting to feel some progress.

Pigeonenglish · 23/10/2025 16:56

Sorry to hear about your mum @Blowingrasberries Flowers

I am now 12’6, so lost just over three stone. I just can’t believe it. Last time I was here was 2021.

I am so excited to get in the 11s.

LaGioiosanotLeviosa · 23/10/2025 18:36

What a great weight loss @MrJollyLivesNextDoor and such a nice surprise to have!!
Im also so happy to be in the 12s now so I need to remember that the slower losses are actually probably really healthy and better for me too. I’m just so impatient to start seeing some big changes with my clothes and mainly my stomach! I’m an apple shape and it’s painful how the weight is going from everywhere else about from my tummy! I’m tall so now have stick like legs, tiny boobs (which one is definitely gone whole size smaller than the other thanks to fat loss 😭)and a big round belly!

TheArtfulCrow · 24/10/2025 11:28

I finished my 5mg pen on Saturday and think I've finally adjusted to the dosage! It was a really tough month for me, I struggled with liquids. Staying on 5mg this month again. Weigh in day tomorrow and I haven't taken a sneaky check during the week so no idea where I'm at. Hoping to drop another 2lb this week as that'll take me to two stone loss exactly. Feeling bloated though so not optimistic 😫 . Congrats to everyone on how they are doing so far, every one of you should be so proud! X

Does anyone know if there’s a thread for sharing referral codes? I have looked but can’t see any.
I got one for Numan and used it last month and if anyone uses mine they get £100 off and I do too. Anything to save money on this very expensive journey.

Can I order mounjaro from there if I already ordered it from asda and med express?

thatsalad · 24/10/2025 12:32

I just had my last jab before taking a few weeks break because I can't afford it this month. It is what it is, I'm happy with my loss and hoping to maintain during these few weeks. I'll have to do that anyway when I stop using it entirely!

SW 92kg
CW 85kg
GW 70kg

Wellfuckme · 24/10/2025 16:16

Wk 10 (i think) - I took my first dose of 7.5mg pen last week and for the first few days felt awful and determined to go back to 5mg for this week but weigh in today:
SW 18st 8lb
CW 17st.
Last week I was 17st 5lb so a massive 5lb loss this week and 1st 8lb overall.

Stuck to 7.5mg again this week but I don't think I will go any higher than this. May still go down if SE too bad.

Can't believe that this time next week I might be in the 16st's

Texanchilli · 24/10/2025 16:44

I took my last injection yesterday. The golden dose out of my 5mg pen. I can’t afford to keep going! I’ve lost 7kg since mid August. I’m starting to notice and feel a difference myself. I would like to lose another 4-5kg, I am hoping I can manage to shift that myself once the MJ wears off.

reluctantbrit · 24/10/2025 17:10

I lost 11.5kg since end of July, a week in italy caused no gain but also no loss. Food was just too good but I was careful with snacks and food.

Yes, they asked when I got my last prescription but purely to ensure dose. So far so good with them, if you want the £100 off code let me know - we both get a discount.

SkinnyOatFlatWhiteForMePlease · 25/10/2025 11:39

I have found the 13’s on the scales. I am now the lowest I have been since my 20’s.

twilightcafe · 25/10/2025 11:52

Moved into the 18s on my official scales at the gym 🎉

Non-scale victory: Size L in Primark joggers - my stop gap until I am a size 16. Hoping to get there by Xmas.

I am now ready to move up to 5mg. Prescription approved yesterday, so I can start in a couple of weeks.

Hello all well done on all your progress, great to hear. I had a disheartening 3 weeks in which my weight hovered between 90 and 91kg and was terrified I was not going to lose any more and start getting heavier again. I really didn't want to go up to 7.5mg due to cost and risk of increased side effects. However, I then asked Chat GPT for advice, it computed everything I was doing and said I just needed to drink 3 litres of water a day, not 2 and also add a Protein shake - I ordered the Peach Tea My Protein https://www.amazon.co.uk/My-Protein-Clear-Isolates-Peach/dp/B07YG4JJDK/. Since Monday I have lost 2kg. I've also lost another inch off my hips, overall I have lost 4 inches off bust, 3 inches off waist and 6 inches off my hips. I am wearing dresses that I haven't worn for 10 years and everything feels baggy. Previously it was a fight to get into everything!

I went shopping for some new tops as most of mine are now too wide.

I went down to size M at M&S for a light jumper and it's not tight.

Downside - I need a new warmer coat, sigh, I hope I can get one not too expensive.

W12 D2 for me, sticking with 5mg for the time being. Weighed myself yesterday and I've lost another pound. Slow and steady I guess.

SW: 14st 10lbs
CW: 12st 11lbs
GW: 10st

Jean74 · 26/10/2025 12:51

Thanks @SkinnyOatFlatWhiteForMePlease you're right I've lost 13.1kg in 12 weeks, I'm hoping to get down to 76.5 as that would be a "healthy weight" for my height. At the moment I'm not obese anymore (yay!) but still overweight. I've just managed to do the "golden dose" which slightly amazed me as every other times it didn't work for me, it just got jammed. I'm unsure if what was left was actually equivalent to a normal dose though, so also used my new 5mg pen...I guessed it's a way of seeing what it feels like on a higher dose without spending the money. Will drink extra pints of water and get an early night tonight and hope won't feel too ill! Did you all just use the "golden dose" on its own or did any of you top up?

Pumpernickelbrakes · 26/10/2025 12:54

@Blowingrasberries condolences, such a sad time for you. You are doing so well to keep going whilst grieving. Please take gentle care of yourself.
