@peanutbutty thank you and well done to you too! I think in this case slow, steady wins the race etc and just keep going...
Started the gym a couple of weeks before taking the jab, DS was back from uni so came with me which was a great incentive to go, im going mon, wed and Fri and yoga Thurs but only doing like 40 mins at gym to get in to it. It's all a learning curve and hopefully by the time im at goal weight I'll have formed it in to a habbit etc

Here's hoping 🤣🤞💪

NeedSleepNow · 16/09/2025 22:37

I've not been exercising at all yet. I can't go to the gym as I haven't got anyone to watch the children for me when I go. We're in the middle of a house move at the moment so I plan to get some weights and maybe a treadmill to put in the garage once we've moved and try to exercise at home.

LnicMJ · 17/09/2025 07:15

@NeedSleepNow it's so hard with kids, mine now 21 and 18 and it's the first time I've really been able to focus on myself without worrying about needing to be somewhere for them! I've been very lax about exercise until very recently.

I’ve just weighed in at the end of week 7 and I’ve lost 6.45 kg which is just over a stone. It’s slow compared to some, but I’m very happy with 2lb a week as it feels sustainable.

I had a couple of weeks when my weight loss stalled but I’d made the decision to stay on 2.5. It really wasn’t working for me and I felt very sluggish and quite constipated. Earlier this week I took 3.75. Ive had no side effects other than feeling more thirsty than normal, but the main thing is that I’ve got my energy back, the constipation is better and I’m feeling suppression again. I feel like I did when I took the first couple of doses and so much better. I was nervous about going up the doses as I was worried about side effects but I’m now very glad I did. I feel I’ve kick started things again and feel very positive.

Hi everyone, you're all doing great!

I weighed in on Monday, weigh in number 3

-2.5

so half a pound away from that first stone, delighted, need to up my exercise going forward

AsteriaBuffy · 17/09/2025 16:16

Hi all!
Week 8 D1 - weigh in and jab day. Another pound off this week, tantalisingly close to dropping to 13 stone something, hopefully not too much longer. So half a stone in total, talk about slow but steady! I'm mostly led by appetite rather than a strict diet plan, although have definitely been eating less.

Did 3mg for the last 2 doses but have upped it to 3.75mg this week, as progress is slow. I'm not really getting digestive side effects, but did notice when upping to 3mg the sudden crushing tiredness during the day came back.

RoseHedgehogs · 17/09/2025 17:24

@NeedSleepNow I’m in the same position! Finding it impossible to fit it in with the kids. Will keep trying to work out a way to step it up though as I think it needs to be part of the whole lifestyle change for me.
I haven’t had a chance to try yet but I saw Lucy Wyndham-Read’s YouTube videos recommended on here as really good for squeezing in when you can.

SkinnyOatFlatWhiteForMePlease · 17/09/2025 23:44

End of week 7 yesterday and another 2lbs off making 18.5lbs so far. Lowered dose from 3.75 last week to 3.33 and felt good suppression with less constipation so will repeat that again on jab day this Friday.

justjuggling · 18/09/2025 00:35

I gained 2lbs this week. Have felt no suppression at all this week and the good noise has been loud and constant. So disappointed in myself. Next jab done though and focussed on a good week ahead. Well done everyone on some impressive losses.

I highly recommend a treadmill, I bought mine when DS was little for this reason.

It’s invaluable during the winter when I’d not be inclined to leave the house in the pouring rain!

Lost 2.5lbs this week so really pleased with that! Just need another 1 and 1/2lbs to get to a stone, would love to achieve that this week so it’s completed in 6 weeks.
It will be my second jab of 5mg today and this week the suppression has been fab, went straight from 2.5 to 5 with no side effects (just a bit tired).

JoRaRaRa · 18/09/2025 11:13

I've lost 13lbs since starting on mounjaro 8 weeks ago 😊 I've got another 5mg pen and then I'm going to go up to 7.5mg. Hopefully I'll hit 1 stone next week but I'm going for a long weekend in Prague, so maybe not 🤔

Texanchilli · 18/09/2025 13:11

Today is my official weigh-in day. After a loss at the weekend, then gaining, I ended up being the same weight today as last Thursday. That’s 6.5lb off for me with my first 4 doses. Better than nothing but I was hoping for more. I took the ‘golden dose’ today by forcing the pen. It was hard to twist it but it went eventually. I hope I get a loss next week.

TheArtfulCrow · 18/09/2025 19:41

I'm approaching the end of week 7 and for the first time since starting, I have diarrhea. Also have a cold and my period so having a great old time 😅☠️

Haribosweets · 18/09/2025 20:01

Hi, yesterday was my jab and weigh - 1ib gone so 1 stone total in 5 weeks. I am now though feeling more hungry though and wondering whether to go up to 5 next time. I am not having cravings but feel like I could eat more than the first 5 weeks. I am ordering early next week so will see how I go over weekend

NeedSleepNow · 18/09/2025 22:11

I'm coming to the end of week 8 now. I've been on 2.5mg so far and will use the golden dose tomorrow evening, then I have ordered a 5mg pen for next week onwards. I'm not sure whether to jump straight to 5mg or do one week at 3.75 first.

I've lost 18lbs so far, 14lb of that was on the first pen and then 4lb over the last 4 weeks. I've felt a bit disappointed with my loss over the last month to be honest, but my weight is moving in the right direction and it's hopefully more sustainable this way.

Wellfuckme · 19/09/2025 08:30

I've just done my 6th jab,
SW 18st 8lb
CW 17st 13lb.
It feels like it slower loss than most but it is still coming off. TDEE is 1300 but I have a stressful role and don't really move much during the day as just in back to back meetings so I'm going to aim for 1000 calories a day.

Suppression hasn't been as good this week - today was my 2nd dose of 5mg. I need to order my next pen on Monday so am going to see how I go over weekend before deciding if I go up to 7.5mg pen.

reluctantbrit · 19/09/2025 08:36

End of week 8 here, I lost 8.8kg.

I did hope for a bit more but I had two weeks with loosing hardly anything so 1kg/week is a good average.

I definitely realise how much drinking water affects it, I really concentrated on it the last two weeks and lost more. it was easier when it was warm, I now prefer tea, not cold water but beggers can't be choosers.

I stay with 5mg for the new pen, I may check with the nurse hotline what exactly the difference should/will be moving up but I calculated that my 4th pen should start when I am on holiday and I don't really fancy unknown side effects while sightseeing.

8kg is great and steady. Could you just take 5 for the week you are on holiday by counting clicks then potentially up the dose the following week if you feel the need?

I have just took another 3.3 dose this week as although loss is around 1kg a week too I’m happy losing at this rate and managing to eat well, drink plenty and want to form sustainable habits.

NeedSleepNow · 19/09/2025 23:55

I've just done my week 8 jab and managed to successfully use the golden dose this time (I failed miserably last time round). I just forced the pen to turn with a bit of brute force and it worked fine. I'll weigh myself in the morning but I think again I haven't lost anything this week.

Othersideofworld · 20/09/2025 02:13

Hi guys, I’m obsessing about chocolate and looking for motivation - I’ve been so strict on eating, so much protein and fibre. I’m on week 8 (all 2.5mg) and have lost over 12kg. I would love to lose about 35kg more. Trying to convince myself that I am happier with the progress than a taste of chocolate.

NeedSleepNow · 20/09/2025 06:10

That's a great loss @Othersideofworld have you been craving chocolate the whole time or just recently?

Othersideofworld · 20/09/2025 06:32

Just the last few days - I ate chocolate a lot pre-diet and it was my go to for tired/stressed/sad/busy etc so I’ve been feeling those emotions and it made me want chocolate. Happy to report it’s now mid afternoon and I haven’t succumbed. I think I’m ok for the rest of the day - a bit of hard self talk about not letting the bad habits take away what I’ve lost so far.

SkinnyOatFlatWhiteForMePlease · 20/09/2025 08:05

12kg is fantastic @Othersideofworld, and I’m all for exercising a little self control to change habits. However is it perhaps time to up your dose a little?
I didn’t jump to 5, I got a 5 pen and did 3.75 but felt it was too high so I’m on week 2 of 40 clicks giving a 3.3 dose.

NeedSleepNow · 20/09/2025 08:16

@SkinnyOatFlatWhiteForMePlease did you get side effects on 3.75mg or was the suppression too high? I've done 9 jabs at 2.5mg and will move to a 5mg pen next week but think I'll try 3.75mg for the first week to see how I get on. I'm terrified of getting sickness or diarrhoea when at work so worry about going up doses too quickly incase I get those as side effects!
