I got the measuring tape out this morning, 6 inches off my hips in just under 7 weeks. 16.75 inches in total between Hips, upper stomach, under bust, thigh, calf and upper arm.

peanutbutty · 14/09/2025 12:34

4weeks done, as of this morning I have lost 5kg, I think it might actually be a bit more than that as I haven't been able to go to the loo for several days! I might reweigh once that's resolved 😉 weirdly I had hunger and cravings at start of week but then full feeling and slight nausea came back strongly at end of week. I don't know if that was in reaction to eating a load of chocolate earlier in the week. Anyway I felt so lousy after that, I'm definitely in an overall deficit for the week, hopefully lesson learnt.

Anyway I felt so full yesterday I'm actually doing next ("golden dose") jab today so 8th day not 7th, assuming I can get it out....

That's great @SkinnyOatFlatWhiteForMePlease I haven't been measuring, I really must start!

Haribosweets · 14/09/2025 16:25

Hello! Glad everyone is ok. I feel quite hungry today which is a first for me! Hopefully the suppression will come back soon though. I can control it though and not eating like the old days!
I measured couple days ago and was 3 inches off my stomach and 4 off my Hips in 4 weeks. I tried on some clothes today that were too small a couple months ago and they fit now 🙂
I have a day / night out in October (not for another month) but worried about alcohol. I can accept not losing that week but worried I won't lose for weeks afterwards. I used to be like that on slimming world - go out, put on like 2ib and it would take me well over a month to lose it! Also worried about the MJ hangover I keep hearing 🤣

MrJollyLivesNextDoor · 14/09/2025 16:37

I haven’t measured because the only tape measure I have is a steel one in the toolbox 😆

W6 D1

New pen and I have decided to stay on 2.5 for now, will see how it goes.

I’ve lost 16lb so far in 5 weeks so I’m averaging around 3lb per week, and very happy with that!

I’m eating between 1100 and 1300 calories per day and walking off at least 500 cals per day on the treadmill (or outside, time and weather permitting).

Will start swimming again soon as I can now squeeze into my sports cozzie and am contemplating gym membership again since I last gave it up in 2000…

Evening everyone, I hope you're all well! Good to see the losses as well as the non scale goals!
I tried the golden dose of 2.5 and whilst I got it to turn to 1, the plunger didn't move when administering it, so I have moved up and used 1st dose of my 5ml pen.
I just wondered, those that have increased to 5ml, did you notice a greater weight loss?
I felt suppression was ok for me on 2.5ml and been losing about 2.75lbs per week after 1st week, but when I ordered 1st pen I got the bundle of 1x2.5 and 1x5, plus I've been reading some that stayed at the lower dose in hindsight wished they had gone up but I'm planning on staying at this dose for the foreseeable if it works.
Just wondering how 5ml has been working for you all? X

reluctantbrit · 14/09/2025 20:46

@Haribosweets I just had a business trip and had wine 4 out of 7 nights. As long as it's part of your daily calories I wouldn't worry too much.

I made sure I had my normal breakfast, can't stand a big hotel breakfast anyway, a light lunch and then a slightly bigger dinner with one glass of wine.
I actually drink very slow now, previously I had 2 glasses in the time I am drinking one. So you may actually drink less automatically.

reluctantbrit · 14/09/2025 20:48

@LnicMJ I didn't see a big difference, after the first 2 weeks, I loose now between 1-2lb per week, both on 2.5 and 5mg

AsteriaBuffy · 14/09/2025 22:36

@Haribosweets I have carried on having wine but am very used to it, so your mileage may vary :D I would say no it doesn't help weight loss but doesn't prevent it either. One thing I would def advise is not to drink on your emptier than usual MJ stomach, make sure you have eaten something first or just a small amount can send your blood sugar haywire and make you v wobbly. Drinking water on the side helps a lot :)

NeedSleepNow · 14/09/2025 22:44

I made the mistake of having far too large a portion at dinner and have been feeling awful every since. This is the first time I've felt really sick since starting the jabs.

It was a roast dinner and I ate a lot less than I would have done previously but a more than I can comfortably manage now. I won't make that mistake again anytime soon as I've been feeling sick ever since, for around 5 hours now!

RalphtheMouth · 15/09/2025 07:38

Back from holiday this weekend. Drank a glass of wine most days but can't stomach more than that. Ate most things, just very small portions and absolutely no interest in sweet things (which was the main reason starting MJ).

Good morning,

weigh day and jag for me. Although, I’m an 8 hour drive home. Just left London just now. So will jab when home but won’t weigh until tomorrow. I haven’t really eaten much at all, so hopeful about weight loss, although I haven’t drank near enough water this weekend so may have some water weight added. I’ve mainly drunken Diet Coke with the odd bottle of water. Better to drink Diet Coke than to indulge in sweets though lol!

will update on weight loss tomorrow.

Texanchilli · 15/09/2025 08:49

Morning!

I weigh myself every day and this morning, I am 1lb heavier than I was on Saturday! I’m the same as I was on Thursday, my weigh-in day. Why does that happen??? I don’t think I ate loads yesterday. I went for a run. I didn’t have any wine. Agggghhhh!

That made me laugh, I had to buy a sewing measuring tape especially for this.

Lots of variables…
Not enough water
Not enough sleep
Salt/water retention
Menstrual cycle
Increased muscle from exercise

It’s utterly frustrating when it happens hence good to have other ways of looking at progress. I have taken monthly measurements and monthly totals for weight loss.

SkinnyOatFlatWhiteForMePlease · 15/09/2025 10:07

@Texanchillialso going to the loo.. if I miss a day I weigh a little more. 🙈

Lifeisforliving2025 · 15/09/2025 20:00

A half pound loss for this week so 11.5lbs off on my first pen of Mounjaro.

Started Wegovy 0.25g this morning. First thing I have noticed is that whilst I still feel full after meals I don't have that total cut off to food noise so will need to engage willpower too

Sticking to around 1600 calories ... fibre intake dropped a wee bit last week so need to focus a bit more on that again.

I thought the Wegovy pen was easier to administer as the top doesn't twist up like MJ so you just turn to dose then click the top to inject.

LnicMJ · 15/09/2025 21:28

So end of 4th week and I've lost 1.25lbs this week which is a bit meh, but that's still 11.5lbs off over the 4 weeks which im very happy with.
SW 13st 3.75lbs
CW 12 st 6.25lbs
GW 10st (may change)
I think in a way I was expecting to see bigger weekly losses like you see plastered on social media, like a stone every 4 weeks but I know my losses are the norm and really good but still a part of me wishing it was more and coming off quicker.
Im eating a small lunch and a smaller portion than usual for evening meal, never really bothered with breakfast. Think I need to drink more.
Im not finding it a chore and no food noise, and im managing weight training so im ok with the longer game than anticipated if the loss will stick and I gain some healthy habbits...

Hope you all having a good week! X

LnicMJ · 15/09/2025 21:31

@Lifeisforliving2025 I'd be interest to hear how you get on with Wegovy, we've similar weight loss on first MJ pen and I would consider Wegovy in the future if I need to be on it for any length of time...

Sausagedogsarethewurst · 16/09/2025 08:08

W6D1 1.3kg lost this week, total lost so far 6.1kg. Still just off that first stone (6.35kg to a stone)

SW 87kg
CW 80.9kg
GW 65-70kg

RoseHedgehogs · 16/09/2025 10:10

W6 D3 and I am 1st 3lb down. Absolutely chuffed with this but expect it will slow down.
Have stayed on 2.5mg for the most part (did one 3.75mg but felt it was a bit too much) and hopefully will will stay on the same for a while longer

sfraxx · 16/09/2025 10:50

Good morning,

weighed today and have gained 0.8lbs. Expected this with being away the weekend.
done my 4th injection this morning and have my appointment with the pharmacist on Monday to get my 2nd pen and weigh in. I was hoping to have 12lbs lost by this appointment so far I’ve lost 8lbs. But will be happy if I can make it 10lbs in 4 weeks.
my plan is to get another pen as our pharmacy prices do not rise until 1st of October so hoping with 1 more pen I’ll get to my goal weight.
SW in before MJ - 13st11.9lbs
SW with MJ - 12st3.7lbs
CW - 11st9lbs
GW - 10st7lbs

Hi everyone. I am about to take my penultimate dose. I’m really happy with the weight loss I have had to date. This week has been tough with it being time of the month.. but I feel like my head space has changed which is great being that the cost of the jabs are now out of reach!
I will continue to follow all of your journeys and hopefully I can give you all some positive info post jabs and maintaining/even losing on a calorie controlled diet alone! 😬🤞🏻
Love the fact that I’ve lost over a car tyres worth of weight 😂😂

Likewise I caught myself feeling almost disappointed in 5kg in 4weeks. Gave myself a good talking to -its not magic, it just makes it much easier to stick to a deficit but the basic rules of biology and physics still apply!! Your loss sounds great, well done on the weight training that is one thing I am struggling with.
