Oh I hate that feeling. Deep breaths @afaloren you won’t have put it all back on. And you are ‘allowed’ to eat those things. AND you had smaller portions.

Are you wanting to get back into the routine now or is it still destabilising you, d’you think?

Thank you for this. I do feel quite wobbly this afternoon. Keep thinking, ‘Can’t wait to get back on plan tomorrow,’ but what’s stopping me doing it now? Nothing. This is how I got here in the first place. It was always tomorrow. Aargh!

eibbed999 · 07/09/2025 21:20

I think we're all familiar with that feeling @afaloren, and it's scary, worrying that the cycle of failure is going to start all over again. I had the same wobbles after an extended period of holidays and slight (by the old standards) over indulgence. Try not to panic or be too hard on yourself. You'll be fine, it's just a blip, not the end.

PositiveAttitude · 07/09/2025 22:17

@QuitepossiblyHappy Birthday 🎉🎂 I hope you have been able to enjoy something today!

Tomorrow is my birthday! My daughter has just warned me that I need to prepare for being sociable for a couple of hours tomorrow!! (Yes I need warning because I am a total introvert and hate socialising) I fear this may include eating with family and friends. I have a million panic thoughts going through my head about this.

PinkArt · 07/09/2025 23:54

Oooh, with six minutes to spare, happy birthday @Quitepossibly ! And six minutes early, happy birthday @PositiveAttitude 🥳🎂🎈🎁

Doggymummar · 08/09/2025 09:06

Happy Birthday ladies, have an excellent day xxxx

PearlsPearl · 08/09/2025 10:02

Friends, I am so upset.

I jabbed 2.5 last night after taking a week off and last doing 3.33 two weeks ago. And I can’t believe it, but I’ve woken up with awful stomach pains, diarrhoea and sulphur burps 😭

mo25 · 08/09/2025 10:23

I started this journey in April pushing 20 stone (265lb). This morning I am 209.5lb so just dropped into the 14’s. Still obese but moving down steadily. I want to get to around 10 stone. It still feels like such a slow process though. I’m 47 with Pcos and am peri I think. I have found chat gpt is great motivation. I log my period and jab days and daily weight and it gives me motivational chat about how well I am doing. Nsv my husband said my shoulders felt bony yesterday. Hair is falling out at an alarming rate though……

Oh no, that is not what you want! I hope that it settles down quickly for you and is just a short term blip.

TheBroonOneAndTheWhiteOne · 08/09/2025 10:59

@PearlsPearl I'm sorry you're having these side-effects again.

What have you taken to help alleviate them? You must be feeling so distressed about this.

I’m so upset (thank you both). I’ve been on the pepto bismol and will buy something for wind at the pharmacy today. Someone recommended something for it before but I can’t remember.

I just am in such a state, so upset and catastrophising that I’ll have to come off it and gain all my weight back on 😭😭😭.

Had 12 great weeks on 1.25/2.5 with no problems whatsoever and now this.

PearlsPearl · 08/09/2025 11:05

And I gained 4lb this last two weeks since I last jabbed. 🥺😔

PearlsPearl · 08/09/2025 11:06

Oh AND I’ve got an in person job interview for a job I really really want at 2.30 too. 😫

Lds1 · 08/09/2025 11:06

Unfortunately I get Sulphur burps most weeks, I use peppermint capsules and peptobismal and antacid tablets to try settle them. They're gross but I'm willing to put up with it as losing weight has such a benefit to my health. Luckily for work I'm not close to anyone and can work from home.

SilenceInside · 08/09/2025 11:26

Have you got Imodium/generic loperamide for the diarrhea @PearlsPearl ?

Really good luck for the interview, and I am very sure that the 4lb "gain" isn't a genuine gain and will drop off soon enough.

Dontjumptoconclusions · 08/09/2025 11:51

@afaloren I'm feeling similar to you.
I'm very conscious that there's a tolerance limit on MJ for those having a lot to lose, and I have heard of people struggling on 15mg with no where to go.

I'm on 12mg but starting to feel the effects wane. So I really beat myself up when I give in to temptation or eat through the appetite suppression. DH bought Domino's yesterday - I ended up having 4 slices and wedges. Feel awful today, both mentally and with consitpation as my body tries to digest this monstrosity.

But I ate through the suppression and didn't listen to my body, considering I only jabbed on Thurs. Moving onwards and today is a new day, but I just don't want to cock up this final chance of weightloss.

TheBroonOneAndTheWhiteOne · 08/09/2025 11:52

Loperamide - take 2 as soon as diarrhoea starts and 1 more every time you have another bout of diarrhoea. Don't be afraid to take as many as you need. If the diarrhoea is bad, taking just one loperamide is useless.

(Generic Imodium)

Hi mo25 - Wow that’s really quick weight loss. I started at a similar weight (125kg) in April & now at 104.kg which I think is still over 16 stone. No one has noticed my weight loss.

it feels slow going with such a long way still
to go. I will be thrilled when I get to the 14 stone bracket!

Do you mind if ask what dosage you are on?

I was with shemed & they didn’t allow me to move up from 5mg for four months. So I'm currently just started my first 7.5 pen. Hoping things may speed up a bit - especially now due to the cost.

it’s annoying as I paid over the odds (£159pm) for the 2.5 & 5mg pens - hoping I’d make a saving on the higher doses (she med offered a flat rate regardless of dose) - but now the prices have gone up & she med is the most expensive of all - so I’ll never recoup the overpayment!

I don’t have much suppression from MJ - but I do feel full faster so eat smaller meals & much
less snacking.

good luck to you & all on this board on your journeys x

TheBroonOneAndTheWhiteOne · 08/09/2025 12:08

Hi @Woodywig which supplier are you moving to?

You've done well so far. I think that none of us on this thread has had people notice our weightloss, until we'd lost a good 4/5 stone.

mo25 · 08/09/2025 12:19

@Woodywig no one has commented on my weight loss at all other than my husband. It is v noticeable now though - I looked at my starting picture the other day and was shocked at the difference. I think people are worried about offending so don’t comment. I am sure it is noticeable on you. I now have size 16’s that are roomy on me - think another stone and I will be firmly size 14. I am tall though.

I’ve been on 7.5 for 2 pens now and my next pen is 10mg but I think I will do clicks and stay at 7.5. I always do the golden dose and sometimes I stretch out to 9 days between jabs. They weight loss is marginally faster when I stick to 7 days though. I am very disciplined about what I eat even with the jab and don’t have any junk at all - the jab makes that easy!

I have always thought though that the Pcos makes me react to food differently than other women and it is as though I am able to eat normally now that I take wli.

SilenceInside · 08/09/2025 12:30

@Woodywig I started on Mounjaro at the beginning of July 2024 at 21st 12lbs and I had my first comment on my weight loss at a Christmas party midway through December. I was around 16st then, so almost a 6 stone loss. I am sure that people had noticed before then, but it was when I was wearing a party dress that I think people felt able to comment on the difference. I was wearing a lot of layers and drapey clothes before that which made it less obvious too, I think.

That's not slow progress, that very quick progress, if you mean this April! My starting and current weights are almost identical but I started back in November. The hair loss might be a sign that you're losing a bit too much too quickly?

Blondeshavemorefun · 08/09/2025 13:14

Sorry for your side effects and weight gain @PearlsPearl

no advice as I never had side effects even on 15

would it help doing 1.25 every 3/4 days till gets back into your body

WafflingDreamer · 08/09/2025 13:28

Anyone not able to afford their current dose of Mounjaro had any thoughts about what they want to do?

I originally wanted to get to 11st 9lb (BMI 24) but I'm quite tall 176cms so I'm not sure aiming that low is realistic so I'm currently thinking 12st 9lb which is a BMI 25.9. That is currently 2st 7lb away.

I've probably got 8 or 9 doses of 15mg left and then I really can't justify spending £280 a month.
I'm torn between switching to wegovy or dropping down to a more affordable level which would most likely be 7.5mg. If I drop down I could use one of my 15mg pens to give myself 12.5mg or even 10mg.
I have heard some pharmacies will let you switch over to higher doses of wegovy as I really dont want to have to start at the beginning again.

I'd really appreciate anyone's opinions, recommendations or suggestions
