I can go for days when the suppression is good, then all of a sudden, I lose control.
But it's brief, and the next day, I always get back on track.

My weightloss has continued despite this. Yes, it's slowed down, but it's still on a downward path.

Edited

That’s reassuring and you’ve still done so well!

52soon · 02/09/2025 22:03

Thank you @TheBroonOneAndTheWhiteOne I’ve done myself an injustice my Tesco top was actually a large not an XL, I am chuffed with that😀

PearlsPearl · 03/09/2025 06:20

Well done @TragicMuse what an amazing achievement, you must feel so good. I love the feeling when it's DONE and you can breathe again (until results week). Wishing you a lovely high mark!

I am huuuuungry this week, having missed Sunday's jab. Worried about gaining weight back on after 2 weeks off the jab and when I restart next Sun I'll be going back to 2.5 so worried about that too. But nothing I can do really except try and make good choices.

We're away down south this weekend for a wedding (7 hours on the train 😫) so it'll be all eating out which is hard for me.

eibbed999 · 03/09/2025 07:08

Week 25 weigh in/jab. I've gained a pound, which I don't understand as I've had a relatively quiet week. But not to worry, it'll all sort itself out I'm sure. Like a lot of us though the price increase is making this more and more difficult for me. I had thought I'd just stay on it forever but not any more. I'm also very much noticing a reduction in efficacy - maybe just my body is now used to it. The honeymoon period was so easy, and I think naively I expected it to stay like that! I'll be really interested in how any of you get on with different WLIs if you swap.

SW: 307 lbs
CW: 253 lbs

GnomeDePlume · 03/09/2025 07:25

@eibbed999 it could easily be down to just being slightly more hydrated than other times. It will sort itself out over time.

@TragicMuse congratulations on getting your dissertation over the line. But I do have a question, what is a tiffin tin please?

FatsiaJaponicaInTheGarden · 03/09/2025 07:57

Wow congratulations for the dissertation @TragicMuse

@eibbed999 It really helped me to realise that everyone's graph is a hit different, and dips and peaks are normal. I can find mine after work if you like. It can be water weight, period related weight, all sorts. But when you stow back and look at the progress over time you see the bigger picture. For example over 50lb in 25 weeks is over 2lb a week average which is amazing!!

I weighed this morning as I do in Kg and realised I hadn't quite realised the conversion recently. I am 102.2 which is 16st 1! I mentally thought I was 16st4/16st 5

I'm so close to being under a new stone, then 15st10 is 100kg and then 15st6 would be bmi 35!!!

I felt like I stalled forever (it wasn't) and being on 10 seems to have kickstarted things again (and me converting to stones properly!)

I think I plan to go with medino at 234 for 10mg.

However er I spoke to Crest Pharmacy (smaller chain) and for 261 they were amazing. Real person, WhatsApp reply to query, next day delivery....

eibbed999 · 03/09/2025 08:08

Absolutely @FatsiaJaponicaInTheGarden, so many reasons for the odd blip (though thankfully not periods any more in my case, which I don't miss at all!). I think I've been on or around the same weight for well over a month now, due to needing to shed a few holiday pounds etc. Overall it's great. I need to adjust to the reality of it slowing down, and accept that without becoming disheartened. But I am most definitely feeling more cravings, and yearning more for comfort food when I'm feeling down. In the first couple of months the food noise disappeared completely for me, it was like a switch had been turned off. Now I'm in a different stage - and with us, this is a long game isn't it? Too much weight to lose for it to happen quickly. There will be many different stages I'm sure!

Thank you everyone! I have been studying for an MA, doing it part time while working, sometimes tricky to fit it all in but it’s been wonderful. I’m going to miss it!

@GnomeDePlume a tiffin tin is a stack of tins into which you can put different things. An Indian lunchbox! In India there are dabbawallahs who bring you your ordered lunch every day!

Some tins are plain and some are very decorated.

This week’s WI

Week 27, 7.5mg

SW 19st 4lbs (Jan 2025, pre-MJ)
SW on MJ 18st 11.5lbs (1 Mar 2025)
CW 15st 2.25lbs
Loss this week 0.25lb
Total loss 57.75lbs

It’s only a tiny quarter pound off but after being away at the weekend I’ll take it!!

FatsiaJaponicaInTheGarden · 03/09/2025 08:15

Ooh those are pretty tins!

TragicMuse · 03/09/2025 08:19

Aren’t they! And I do take lunch to work every day!

eibbed999 · 03/09/2025 08:22

In other news, my e surgery 7.5mg pen has been dispatched. I ordered about 10 days ago for £140, so I'm pleased about that. Moving forward not totally sure, Medino has decent 'new world' prices, around £224 plus my ongoing discount code, but I'll see how it goes. Subscription price for e surgery was more. I've also just contacted a local pharmacy to inquire, as it would be nice to collect it rather than play Royal Mail roulette every time!

GnomeDePlume · 03/09/2025 08:50

@TragicMuse those tiffin tins are lovely! I WFH but would love to have my lunch in one of those! Perhaps DH could be persuaded to start a delivery service.

Or you could just buy some of the tins anyway, make your lunch early, and then unpack it later.
🤣

I posted earlier that I'd received an email from e surgery saying my order was despatched - now a bit concerned as when I clicked through onto tracking, it said it was actually despatched on Sunday Aug 31. 4 or 5 days in transit is not great. I've messaged them to query it but not holding my breath for a reply ... I'm finding all of this so tiring and stressful. Life is busy and challenging enough without these little battles cropping up. Paying a small fortune for what is basically really shoddy service.

TheBroonOneAndTheWhiteOne · 03/09/2025 09:41

Yes. And they know we'll (mostly) continue to pay, because we need the medication.

"Oh, and in case you haven't already noticed, another side to my crazy mind, I'm an inherent over sharer 😊"

I think all on here will agree this applies to me too, @Billybingbong!

Quick question - those of you who recommend greek yogurt for breakfast - are we talking full fat or fat free? I don't know which is best!

I never have diet anything. Always the full fat version. If they remove fat they often replace with sugar so you can't win.

Oh wow! They are stunning! I need all of them in my life 😂
even bigger wow for the competed dissertation, that’s amazing. I remember my eldest DD doing her MA and it was a very stressful time, she also did hers whilst working but it was linked to her job.

Autumnflowers2 · 03/09/2025 12:54

I've managed to loose a pound ,so after checking my weight loss app that puts me at a loss of 3 pounds for August.
So not as bad as I was stressing about .
Plus that means my weight is getting used to being lower and even keeping it the same is a win , especially when I think about what I started out at .
My provider has let me buy a pen early, and still at the old prices ...but that's not saying much ,as they were very expensive to start with .
So I'm ok for a bit now ,feeling a bit more settled today
Hope everyone else doing good

Autumnflowers2 · 03/09/2025 12:57

Also ,I've been in a jacuzzi and helped another lady in who wasn't sure she could get in ..I literally walked up the steps and just got in.
Two years of swimming and never getting in it , because I was worried I wouldn't manage without a rail to hold on to .
And of course my size 20 winter coat ,which I'm desperate to wear ,..not quite sure it's acceptable to wear in September tho 😃

TragicMuse · 03/09/2025 13:03

That’s marvellous @Autumnflowers2 I’d like to go swimming again soon. I’m really rather lazy but maybe in this new world order I could get up early and go before work!!

I have treated myself to a tiffin tin! The one called Devika. It’s so gorgeous!

Autumnflowers2 · 03/09/2025 13:08

That's when I go ,first thing in a morning at 7.30 ,get straight up and costume on ,so I don't change my mind ,if I went at lunchtime I'd have time to talk myself out of it ..I go 6 days a week

Doggymummar · 03/09/2025 13:34

I started my Vimto protein today. It's absolutely delicious. Tne L Tyrosene also arrived so between them both i should get plenty of water in today.

Do they use Royal Mail? The tracking often shows as dispatched as soon as they print the label, rather than when it's actually sent.

I had two from Zava that showed as dispatched at 11am on Friday. One arrived on Monday, and had been dispatched on Friday as Royal Mail scanned it in on Saturday morning but didnt deliver. The other arrived yesterday and had clearly only been sent on Monday as the ice packs were still frozen.

They do use Royal Mail, but I've never seen a delivery marked as despatched when it hasn't been before. The tracking usually says something like 'we can update when we have your package'. I'm sure the mystery will be solved soon!
