Vegetarian food is damned elusive in Yorkshire. I’ve lived on Quorn sausage and chips for the past two days. I’m desperate for a salad, some nice veg and an avocado. I’ve turned into a snob! Dread to think what the weigh in will say this week.
and my bones are aching too. I can’t tell if this is post surgery or because I’ve lost padding on my pancake booty.

BreezyPeer · 28/08/2025 18:02

Not sure if it's already been shared but weprescribe.co.uk have just sent through their new price list.
Previous 10mg was £149 so gone up about £85ish. Free delivery for returning customers.

@BlueLimes they have never contacted my GP (important to me for similar reasons to you!)
Just in case this helps anyone. 😀

BreezyPeer · 28/08/2025 18:04

Sorry! Here is the price list

January Starters - Thread 11!
MisseyLurker · 28/08/2025 18:29

Checking in and I’ve now hit a 70lb/5st/31.75kg loss since the 4th of January. Not much more to go with my BMI now at 22.5. Plan is another 7lbs and that will be me at 10st 7lbs and a BMI of 21.5.

In 2018 I got into running and my weight dropped to 9st 4lbs and I looked ill so I don’t want to go that far.

BlueLimes · 28/08/2025 19:19

@BreezyPeer thanks so much - was it easy to swap and do they ask for GP details?

obviously I would disclose if I needed to …
can’t remember if I mentioned / travel
insurance were not interested at all.

BreezyPeer · 28/08/2025 19:57

@BlueLimes I was always with them. Started in January as a 'middle of the road' choice and they never asked for new photos, or anything. Just self declare weight at each new order. Couldn't have been easier!

PenelopePoweringOn · 29/08/2025 07:02

@meatyryvita - STS is boring but better than a gain 🍷- half full my friend.

@myladyjane - really glad you got your pens. I think I will order one today, hopefully my last one.

Thanks @BreezyPeer . I’ve gained this morning, 85.2kg which is a whole kg more than last week. I’m ovulating, my boobs are sore and I am still hugely constipated. FGS I do wish my useless reproductive system would naff off into retirement quickly.

@cloudjumper sorry you’re not well. Best of luck with your assessment. I’ve got an interview today. I think I must have missed that you’d been made redundant, I hope you’re ok.

@Jins and @HeidiLite - safe journeys.

@2025istheyeari - I didn’t realise you had been made redundant too - very best of luck in finding something that’s right for you.

@Polkadotdash - oh dear, are you at the coast?

@MisseyLurker - that is a tremendous loss - flipping well done you.

I remain grumpy chaps, I've got sore boobs, bloating and stomach ache (constipation/ovulation combined 😫). I need to bury it and do this interview this morning. Offer accepted, not the highest but someone in the best position, solicitors appointed, now I need to find somewhere to live. I've decided to give myself two weeks/three weekends to find somewhere.

Happy Friday lovely losers.

PenelopePoweringOn · 29/08/2025 07:29

Had a quick look at pens, I think I might try Juniper too @myladyjane . I've got a discount code but I'm not sure if it is old or new pricing either!

Oushk are £279 with a discount code for 10mg, Farmeci £259 standard pricing. That pricing looks great @BreezyPeer . I've just tried to place an order but I think that 10mg must be out of stock. The pricing website seems to be a bit behind on updates (understandable I guess).

Farmeci have got their three pen bundles back on the website too.

MJalltheway · 29/08/2025 08:07

Definitely living up to your username @PenelopePoweringOn ! Amazing how quickly you've got your house sorted! I've got 2 friends currently trying to sell and they've both been on the market nearly a year with no offers at all. The housing market here is totally flat.
good luck for your interview. 🍀

weigh in and jab day and have STS today. Consciously been trying to eat more this week so not a huge surprise.
SW 101kg
CW 76.7kg
GW 70kg

I don't seem to have much in the way of loose skin, but I also still have plenty of fat on me plumping it out! Always had a pancake butt as well so no change there! My bingo wings are hugely improved with developing muscles though 💪
Taking a day off today, we're having a new bathroom fitted starting next week so need to clear that room out and make some space for them to store a bath somewhere 😬

myladyjane · 29/08/2025 08:09

@PenelopePoweringOn I got approved by juniper yesterday so will have 3 pens now. The process is a bit weird - you pay a flat amount (I could use the 75 quid off first order code on monj), send the photos. They seem to tell everyone they want a naked gut shot then they ask you what you want dose wise then prescribe and you pay the delta. I got my 10mg for 156 which I thought was pretty good. I’d say order today if you are going to although the sept prices with the 75 quid code look to be about 225 so actually not awful. No code and they are definitely spendy though.

ovulation may be why the gain you know. When I used to weigh daily I put more on around ovulation than period.

PenelopePoweringOn · 29/08/2025 08:48

@MJalltheway yes I am shocked, thought I'd have months. It is a nice house, near amazing schools and priced right, but still a complete shock! Thank you.

@myladyjane Juniper msgd me this morning to remind me I had a £104 off voucher so I thought ok, fine I'll buy one. Tried to use it and it is not valid so I CBA. I've got three pens minus two doses and I'll just buy what I need if I need to, switching to Wegovy if necessary from a cost point of view but hopefully not.

myladyjane · 29/08/2025 08:51

Well I’m a bit pissed off! Wi day today and I’ve sts. I thought I had a great week tbh. Suppression significant (which for me usually does correlate to the scales),active, better quality diet/protein. Not at a bloaty part of my cycle. I felt ‘thinner’. Possibly a bit of water weight from last nights meal out but I was pretty moderate tbh. Possibly last weeks whoosh has meant steady this week. But I am childishly annoyed. Especially given I have spent a fortune this week and had really hoped my 3 pens would be enough to get me to my zen goal.

sulk

Jins · 29/08/2025 09:10

Morning all. No weigh in today - I’m considering moving it to jab day as that has now changed to Saturday.

There’s a part of me that’s trying to find another pen before the deadline but I don’t need to. I have a stockpiling inclination although I didn’t get caught up in the toilet roll panic so I know I can get through pen panic. If I stick with 5mg and pay scant regard to the 30 day rule my three 10mg pens will last me till the end of March and I don’t have to worry about finding a maintenance provider until December by which time I’ll order 5mg or even 2.5mg. There’ll be new providers and new plans by then. Maybe even new prices?…

I’m looking forward to getting home tonight but only because the dread of hauling a caravan along narrow lanes is hanging over me and I’ll be glad to see a white line in the road.

Have a great day all and congratulations on the sale @PenelopePoweringOn.

meatyryvita · 29/08/2025 09:48

Happy Friday losers!! I'm feeling a bit better about the switch to Wegovy but still waiting to see what dose they will give to me. Had this been earlier in my journey, I would have been more nervous.

I went out last night and wore, for the first time, the size 12 jeans I bought last week. It was kind of weird, I picked them up and thought that they were SO very small and that there was no chance that they'd go on. I don't think that my head has caught up with my body yet.

I wore my waisted Barbour coat today (rainy dog walk) for the first time since weight loss really kicking in and it's hanging off me! It cost a fair bit a few years ago and I can't justify buying a new one, so I'll deal with it for a while until I see a bargain.

Great news on your house @PenelopePoweringOn !
Preach @myladyjane and @MJalltheway - STS here too but we will move onward and downward!
Best of luck with finding healthy veggie food @Polkadotdash

Have a great Friday and weekend everyone!

Good luck with the interview @PenelopePoweringOn 🍀
I had a bit of a hiatus from MN when everything kicked off, so I might not have posted about my redundancy. It literally came out of the blue, very unexpected. I was worried I would struggle to find a new job at my level, but there is quite a bit out there at the moment. I'm tentatively hopeful that I might have a new job fairly soon - I've now had 2 interviews with this one company, now doing the assessment, and if that is satisfactory, another panel interview - fingers crossed.
Just need to do this test/assessment - it's a standard thing in my field, but I haven't done any content development for ages (mostly reviewing/planning etc), so it's taking me bloody ages!

My next pen is arriving today. Lots of emails from previous providers that they had to increase their prices as of now because they have run out of the cheaper stocks now.
I think that after this pen, I will drop down to 7.5mg again - I'm just not getting on well with the 10mg dose, it makes me feel ill (and that's apart from this stupid cold I've now got). Suppression is too high (here's a thing I never thought I'd say), I'm struggling to get enough calories on board to function normally.

Thelittlestranger · 29/08/2025 10:59

Also my TOTM (are we syncing digitally?!) so not taking any scales numbers to heart at all. Will look again in a few days. Meant to jab today, will leave until tomorrow as had a few glasses of fizz last night, then a glass of kefir this morning and the combo is reacting beautifully in my stomach.

@PenelopePoweringOn how exciting to be looking for a new house and a new life! Good luck!

Also sorry to hear on the redundancies @cloudjumper and @0ncemorewithfee1ing it's a weird thing to go through. I hope you find new roles soon.

Supposed to be going for an outside swim later but the rain is putting me off. But, I have a 3 day weekend so am looking forward to that.

@jins - we went on one caravan holiday. Dragging it through the lanes of West Wales has been ingrained on my memory (and nerves) ever since. Never again.

Aimingdown · 29/08/2025 16:12

Happy Friday all. Amazing speed or organisation @PenelopePoweringOn and great jeans news @meatyryvita.

I am a hair’s breadth (or possibly a big 💩) from healthy weight the last couple of days, so trying to stay on the wagon now

PenelopePoweringOn · 29/08/2025 19:34

'Powering on' was after I lost 3kg or so 😂, no idea everything else would change so quickly.

Sorry @myladyjane that's peeving. I hope you've completed your task @cloudjumper , hope @Jins is home safely and @Thelittlestranger has been for a swim. Wow @Aimingdown another Jan starter almost at target, well done.

Not sure how the interview went tbh (it is for a consulting role not employment), we shall see. When they advised how many other people they were talking to I thought 'indecisive' 😂.

I have still got stomach ache, fed up with it now. I tried to eat a prune earlier but they are so sticky and sweet that it made me want to vomit, is anyone else's gag reflex heightened on MJ, mine definitely is.

DGonMJ · 29/08/2025 19:50

Final evening of our holiday. I’d love to book this place again but it’s already fully booked next year.
Bought thank you gifts for the neighbours for taking in all our packages. Had a tea on the harbour watching the Cormorants and hoping to spot the local seal. Had my last jam-first-then-cream scone. Swam 75 laps in the pool.

I’ve really indulged in food these last two weeks, eating buttery or creamy seafood. Lots of white bread. And even some cheese and crackers which I had totally gone off while on higher doses. No chips though, haven’t much fancied those. Lots of fruit in between and salad when I can. Had one glass of white wine last night, the only alcoholic drink of the holiday, which I think is the only thing that’s made me feel nauseous. Be interesting to see if I’ve gained, I wouldn’t mind if I have, my clothes all still fit.

DGonMJ · 29/08/2025 20:06

Fingers crossed the consulting interview went ok @PenelopePoweringOn

Hoping for a woosh or a big 💩 for you soon @Aimingdown 😂

@myladyjane if you feel thinner you probably are, have you measured yourself recently?

Congrats on the 5 stone loss @MisseyLurker 🏅 🏅 🏅

Nearly end of August. 8 full months on this WL journey. I was looking at photos of me last Christmas, when I’d already decided that I’d be starting WLI in January, it was the biggest I’d ever been (apart from pregnancy).

Jins · 29/08/2025 21:04

I’m home! For the nastiest part of the route I stayed at one end and told DH when it was safe to go. How we didn’t hit the caravan I don’t know.

The cats are acting like they don’t know who we are, outside animals seem as normal.

2025istheyeari · 30/08/2025 07:22

Hi all

Welcome home @Jins , glad you made it safely, sounds traumatic!!

@PenelopePoweringOn fingers crossed for the interview outcome, good luck with house hunting and hope your plateau doesn’t last long. Also hope your stomach eases up soon, doesn’t sound fun…

@DGonMJ safe travels, the place you stayed sounds wonderful.

Congratulations @MisseyLurker 🎉.

Woosh/ poo wishes to you @Aimingdown !!

@cloudjumper 🤞🏻for this job, sounds really positive, hope you managed to finish your task!

@meatyryvita go you and your new jeans!

@myladyjane feel your pain. I measured last week and was amazed at how many inches/ cm I’d lost, it gave me a bit of a boost but staying the same ( actually putting on half a pound) this week has pissed me right off!

Official weigh in day here and like I said I’ve put on half a pound which I’m really p’d about! I’ve been exercising, watching my protein, counting my calories and drinking lots of water so not sure what’s going on. I have had really bad constipation ( which I never suffer from), but think I’ve got rid of that ( 🤣) now, and I’ve been really hungry this week ( probably as a result of messing up the bonus dose last week!) so hopefully this next week will be better!

Have a great weekend everyone.

PenelopePoweringOn · 30/08/2025 07:32

Morning losers. Still no developments on the constipation front, still got stomach ache travelling all up my left side and I’ve gained again today. Off for a day of viewings, yesterday’s were 👎, absolutely no way!

Not you as well @2025istheyeari , flipping frustrating.

Thelittlestranger · 30/08/2025 07:46

I started a daily dose of Kefir two weeks ago and it has been transformative for my digestive system from what it was before and I'm not yet up to the full 'dose' of it. Also combining with a daily dose of biomel in my coffee. Which actually tastes quite nice.

Jabbing today, after 8 days, purely because I want to start taking a smaller dose - not because I want or feel I need it at the moment. Let's see.

Didn't manage a swim yesterday. Got there and there had been on strike of lightning, so they had to wait half an hour - so we went for a pint instead 😎 Then the kids wanted Chinese last night - mine was disgusting, so I didn't eat much of it. Mostly prawn crackers.

Today the plan is weights, some work and then I'm off dancing at a festival for the afternoon to some house djs from the 90s. Should nail some steps then 🔥

Enjoy your weekends!

BreezyPeer · 30/08/2025 08:16

Morning losers! 🌄
Drumroll 🥁 please . . . I have broken my plateau 😀 only by 1/4 of a lb but I now weigh less than I did when the year started with 19!!!
I feel 'on it' again, after the summer. I have a very social week coming up with two meals out so I will need to scour the menus before I go. I can't risk it now 🤣
One is to an Indian restaurant - any ideas about good less calorific choices?
