Morning all - I’ve managed to put 4lb on this week. I’m blaming the cocktails. Very unhappy about it. Did my first WeGovy jab yesterday so let’s see how that goes. It’s also possible that the break week contributed to my gain. Must say, I like the WeGovy pen. It’s so easy to use.

Have had a Vinted rush on over the weekend and now have 20 parcels to ship today. My poor local Evri shop!

HeidiLite · 22/09/2025 11:14

mostly water weight I'm sure @Polkadotdash

myladyjane · 22/09/2025 13:20

I wonder about myself when one of my early morning thoughts was ‘I wonder how @Zempy and her arse are doing’. Pleased it’s calming. It once took me 4 days to recover (Dahl - not had it since).

have a lovely Malta trip @Jins. My dh and dd2 are you - packed ages before. I am in the middle and dd1 is your dh. It makes for some interesting pre trip chat.

I am feeling a bit off today which is a mixture of bug and mj I think. We have our first ‘big’ family birthday since I started on mj today. We’ve had non family ones/other celebrations but we are peculiarly autumn/winter babies in my house. Plans are low key but I think my first bit of cake since January!

Zempy · 22/09/2025 14:32

Thanks @myladyjane that’s very sweet!!!

Much better now.

MJalltheway · 22/09/2025 15:10

I've just dropped off my load of Vinted parcels @Polkadotdash I always slightly panic when it's the digital QR code ones in case I get the parcels mixed up - would much rather print and attach!
got rid of 12 things and only bought 3 over the weekend, winning!! 😂
Glad to hear you are on the mend @zempy.
My younger sis used to work at Abakhan - lethal with the staff discount! Love that place. There are no fabric shops within 20 miles of where I live, probably a good job. I still manage to have a room full of the stuff waiting to be used! I need to get some new, smaller patterns.

Polkadotdash · 22/09/2025 15:18

Oh @MJalltheway I’m convinced I will have got at least one of my parcels wrong today. And well done on selling more than buying! I’m trying to be very strict on that.

Zempy · 22/09/2025 15:48

Oh Gosh! One of the chaps at the corner shop scans all the bar codes and piles the parcels up, ready to apply stickers after I have left. I want to cry. I have actually worked out when he’s on shift now and won’t take more than one parcel if it’s him and I have promised to send!

My favourite staff member is a very serious Polish woman who does it all properly one at a time, and tells me off if I haven’t sealed the bags properly or used the wrong size. I love her.

PenelopePoweringOn · 22/09/2025 16:14

Very impressed with Vinting reports - no vinted progress here today 😬.

I have attempted to sort out Avios and had a couple of lovely meetings. Browsed fabrics and I think I might be shimmying about in pjs made in this in the foreseeable. I opened the door on my floor to ceiling 'sewing' cupboard and shut it again. Small steps 😂. I've gone for this pattern. I've got everything other than new fabric (I've got four big plastic boxes of various fabrics in the garage, no idea what's in there tbh).

Enjoy a piece of cake @myladyjane , I hope you feel better soon.

My appetite is a bit better today, I had homemade soup for lunch. Jab day tomorrow I think.

Happy Monday, losers!

Highlight of my day today was receipt of a pair of boots (from Vinted, of course 😂), brand new - and they fit!! I was very apprehensive, boots for me are always hit & miss (usually miss). They have stretchy panels, but they are very discrete, and the boots fit like a dream. Another item for my capsule wardrobe ticked off. Happy days.
I've uploaded lots of items over the weekend, now hoping that the money will come pouring in... Although it's mostly jewellery, more specifically, vintage costume jewellery, which is not really high on most people's must-buy list! We shall see.

My focus this week is to eat more (oh, the irony!) and drink lots of water every day. And hoping that the scales will start moving again! I need to order my next pen. Has anyone reduced dose before they reached their goal? I'm slightly worried that I will sabotage my progress if I drop down again too soon.

HeidiLite · 22/09/2025 20:29

@cloudjumper yes I did, I only went up to 5 for a few doses when I hit a plateu, but reduced down to 4, 3 and then 2.5 before I got to goal. Am now on 2.5, and lost weight even when not trying to any more.

myladyjane · 22/09/2025 20:50

Oh arse! I just wrote a long reply but @cloudjumper basically yes I’m planning to. But my goal is higher than most (bmi 27). I am satisfied re health measures (my height/waist ratio and waist size are already in the ‘healthy’ range, my blood pressure is down to normal, my bad knee is 100 times better). I am about a stone away from this and have 3 x 10mg pens to use (not at the full dose yet) then planning to start going back down.

i have had domino’s and a slice of cuthbert. I left quite a bit of both

I dropped from 5 to 2.5 before I got to goal but then didn't end up hitting my goal, I only had a couple of weeks before my holiday and when I wanted to reach my goal so went up to 3.75, hit goal and then came down to 2.5. I was worried that I'd continue to lose weight but that didn't happen to me and I feel when on the lowest 2.5 dose (you titrate down) that it's not quite enough so maybe 35 clicks from a 5mg pen might be better instead.

BlueLimes · 22/09/2025 20:55

Am I the only one on 15mg and still able to eat?
Always knew I had the constitution of a robust Ox.
Well in eating terms anyway.

2025istheyeari · 22/09/2025 21:57

@BlueLimes max dose I’ve been on is 10, and mostly I’ve been fine eating, apart from
the period on 7.5 where I just felt awful, so no, you’re not alone!!

Hope DH is all packed Jins, safe travels!!
love that fabric @PenelopePoweringOn , I’m in awe of all you seamstresses, I wouldn’t have a clue!!

HeidiLite · 22/09/2025 22:04

got a Save the date for work Xmas party. What on earth will I wear? The choice is overwhelming when you don't have to think about how flattering something is on a bigger body.

BlueLimes · 22/09/2025 22:10

@2025istheyeari good to have a buddy 😊 still not fully back to pre holiday mode and I’m so annoyed with myself for wasting money and time. Under 3 stone in 9 months is a bit rubbish really…

@HeidiLite - sequins is always the Christmas answer.

BreezyPeer · 23/09/2025 06:47

Morning 🌄 losers!

@BlueLimes nearly 3 stone in 9months is a great loss. If you hadn't put the time and effort in to lose all that weight you would be the same weight January 2026 as January 2025 (and probably more!)
@cloudjumper @tinyemmy I've come down the doses a bit as I am nearing my (new) goal. I did 7.5mg but only for a couple of weeks having worked up very slowly to get there. I am doing the end of my losing on 5mg and will titrate down from there when I get to goal.
@HeidiLite I agree with sequins but I am also excited about Christmas. We are going out for Christmas Dinner to a restaurant that is also a wedding venue so it has beautiful places for photos inside and out. I can't wait to be all dressed up and get some family photos (and maybe one on my own to add to the dating profile!🤣)

Dating news is that I have several conversations going so that's interesting! No dates as yet 😪 but surely it's just a matter of time! Will keep you all updated and invoke the judgy 👩‍⚖️ panel when required 😀
Have a good Tuesday everyone xx

PenelopePoweringOn · 23/09/2025 06:52

@BlueLimes it is a good loss, I’m not much more than that 3st 5lbs as of this morning. It’s hard isn’t it but still a big difference to January.

I’m a fan of velvet for winter occasions.

Standing by on the bench @BreezyPeer , how exciting 🤩.

myladyjane · 23/09/2025 07:29

ohhhhh @BreezyPeer standing to attention!

@BlueLimes 3 stone is an amazing loss regardless of timescale. Compare to a baby - iirc 3 stone is probably similar to a 3/4 year old isn’t it? Amazing work mate.

I also favour a velvet. Every year I eye up some kind of midnight blue blazer and every year I chicken out. Maybe this year!

Thelittlestranger · 23/09/2025 07:37

I bought a green velvet blazer, which I'm quite enjoying...also packed up my wardrobe and have a bag to sell on Vinted. Thanks for the tips - I'm going to attempt it when OH goes away for the weekend in 2 weeks.

I've experienced side effects 💩 after going out on Saturday night, the day after doing my 2.5mg jab. I expect having had 11 days between jabs, my levels were pretty low. Very strange - but one more jab to go, and I'm off.

I'm in awe of all those sewing - not my skills at all.

@DGonMJ if you are still losing, are you not tempted to come off completely?

BlueLimes · 23/09/2025 07:47

@BreezyPeer @myladyjane @PenelopePoweringOn thank you - although it’s only 2 stone 8 lbs so maybe a v small toddler…

yes velvet - especially dark green !!
or sequin top with slim fitting black trousers and heels?

BlueLimes · 23/09/2025 07:49

@BreezyPeer getting the bench ready- purchasing cushions for people with no bum (think all of us).

cloudjumper · 23/09/2025 07:51

@HeidiLiteImagine how much fun you’ll have shopping for a party outfit this year! I keep seeing these gorgeous dresses on Wolf & Badger adverts in my social media feeds… but I’m only expecting one Christmas party invite, so I might actually wear an old dress that now fits me again. But I might need new shoes…

@BreezyPeerI missed that you are looking to date, how exciting! We shall review all candidates, if you want us to!

I’m in total awe of all those who can see! I have zero ability, my sewing ‘talent’ starts with buttons and ends with Scout badges, and that’s it. I love watching the Sewing Bee, such talent! Same goes for the Pottery Throw Down. I enjoy shows where the contestants need to demonstrate an actual talent, can’t stand the likes of Love Island etc. Showing my age now.

It is cold this morning! But sunny, so I’m not complaining. I have 2 more weeks before I start my new job, so will try and make the most of it. Might do some gardening today, before I need to drive DS for an emergency orthodontist appointment 🙄 And I want to make some progress with my book 📖

CurlsandCurves · 23/09/2025 08:39

@BlueLimes im similar to you, 3 stone since my first jab on Jan 28th. But I always said to myself if this helps me lose a steady 1-2 lb a week I’ll be happy. I don’t know about you, but I’d never be where I am right now with out MJ!

Huge wardrobe clear out at the weekend. And all my old holiday clothes STILL fit! Well, apart from having to buy new Tankini bottoms, I’d be losing my old ones in the pool, the rest is loose but that’s the style of most of my dresses anyway. A blessing in disguise really, because there is nothing I liked when I trawled the sales, websites and Vinted.

Does anyone else lose weight in ‘wooshes’? Since being on 10mg I’ve had one week where I’ve lost maybe half if that, followed by 3lb the next week. It’s fine, I’m just noticing this pattern and wondered if it was a thing.
