Oh I forgot to congratulate you on your consultancy offer @PenelopePoweringOn. That’s a healthy contract time which gives you a good deal of security when starting off. It’s a strange feeling moving from being an employee to consultancy work but it’s incredibly rewarding. I was the opposite about feeling stuck in the house though. I’d spent so many years in the office or travelling that I felt I was paying for a house I rarely saw and I couldn’t wait to be stuck in it for a while 🤣

I’d like to apply for a place on the judging panel @BreezyPeer. I specialise in first impressions with a sideline in when to walk away from a dud.

DGonMJ · 17/09/2025 09:14

Enjoy the bring and share lunch @BreezyPeer

Mid-week weigh and I have gained back up to 58.5kg so I’ve jabbed this morning rather than tonight. I also slept through my alarm so haven’t had time to exercise, wash my hair or walk to the station 😖. So of course I’m extra grumpy.

HeidiLite · 17/09/2025 09:44

well done @SteveHarringtonsHair ! I'm in maintenance and happy to report that my weight has been nicely stable for a couple of months now. Long may it continue.

@Jins Luckily DH and I agree on comfortable temperature for us (subtropical) :D

@BreezyPeer not that I would be looking forward to dating as such, but I expect it's in a way a lot easier now than when I was in my 20s. First, no pressure to find someone before the eggs run out. But more importantly, I have very few f's left to give, and no illusions I can change someone because he is just misunderstood and all his exes were psychos. Much better spotting red flags. And if there are any, bye Felipe, next!

BreezyPeer · 17/09/2025 14:48

@Jins your kind offer is accepted!
I am meeting with some friends tomorrow for photos to be taken of me ( slim photos🤣)
I'll report back xxx

PenelopePoweringOn · 17/09/2025 14:52

Thanks @Jins, interesting isn't it home time vs getting out of the house. I'm just aware that if I don't make an effort I could end up not actually seeing real life people for days at a time once I am home alone and whilst I am definitely a home bird I don't want to end up in that position.

BlueLimes · 17/09/2025 17:51

@BreezyPeer I want to be on the judgy bench but not sure if my polite lunch with the alleged 35 but more like 55+ guy precludes me.

if mitigates I’m an INTJ (do people still use this?!).

BlueLimes · 17/09/2025 17:52

Oh and I’m sure you know this but light in front of you and take pic from above.

DGonMJ · 17/09/2025 19:39

Today Oushk approved my order of 2 x 2.5mg pens not due to be delivered till October. Normally they approve it 2-3 days before it’s due for delivery. Wonder what’s up. Getting ahead of orders? Making sure I don’t cancel? I put this order in before the price rise, so it’s a good deal. I’ll likely still have the 5mg unopened in the fridge when they arrive. I’m still not confident I’ll be able to keep the weight off without MJ, so I expect I’ll use them. Not even sure I can cope with the 10 day gap. Am so tired today, have tried to eat healthily.

BreezyPeer · 17/09/2025 20:39

@BlueLimes all photo taking advice gratefully received and you are definitely on the judgy 👩‍⚖️ panel!!
I really hope I have something to report after all this 🤣

MJalltheway · 17/09/2025 20:52

Fully paid up member of the freezing club here (under a blanket). Work never turn the heating on until November so I bought myself a little heater that sits beside my desk. It's been on the last couple of days! need to get myself some more vests. Layers are the answer, I swear.

Did a new class today (body balance). Really enjoyed it so will have to see how I can squeeze that into my routine. My foot is tons better so I'm going to gingerly go back to high impact in a couple of days and see how I get on.

HeidiLite · 17/09/2025 20:55

@BreezyPeer my experience of online dating is that women will carefully read the profile and consider if it's a match before they click like/swipe/whatever you do nowadays.
Men just say yes to all and decide later. Waste of time, giving you 1000 matches that are actually not matches.

BreezyPeer · 17/09/2025 21:02

@HeidiLite I have low expectations of the process so I will probably only be a bit disappointed 🤣

PenelopePoweringOn · 17/09/2025 21:28

@DGonMJ I reckon Oushk will have lost a lot of customers recently, they’re no longer competitive on quite a few doses and even advertised a ‘sale’ recently, I can’t remember the discount on offer but it was substantial and you could use a voucher code on top.

After a googling I think I’m going to join the LA leisure centre for the winter months because there’s no long contract tie in, I can swim and do unlimited yoga and Pilates for about £10 a week 😳, plus join the ‘improve your front crawl’ classes which I would like to do. I’ll still do my other yoga and Pilates classes but it will be nice to have another option because the opening times are something like 6:30am-9:00pm. Might drive there tomorrow for a look around.

meatyryvita · 18/09/2025 06:50

Morning losers! Week one of Wegovy complete. No side effects and no change in appetite. For reference, I was at 7.5mg of MJ, due to go up to 10mg (I.e. it was something I had discussed with my provider prior to getting my last 7.5mg pen).

A loss of .7lb this week. I am going to take it as a win and appreciate that as I get closer to goal, loss is bound to slow down.

SW 15.10 - 30th Jan
CW 11.8.2
GW 9.10

if anyone has questions about the switch to Wegovy, please feel free to ask or PM me.

Have a great day losers!

OP posts:
PenelopePoweringOn · 18/09/2025 07:15

@meatyryvita that sounds like a win! What dose of wegovy did you switch to?

Good stats btw, such a lot of progress, 🏆.

BreezyPeer · 18/09/2025 07:24

SW before MJ 16st
SW 15st 12lb
CW 11st 8.75lb
1st GW 14st 6lb MET!! 🎉
2nd GW 13st 3lb MET!! 🥳 🎉
Final GW 12st 0 MET!! 🥳 🎉 🎊
1st Interim goal 11st 7lb
2nd Interim goal 11st 0lb
New final GW 10st 7lb
Week 36 1.5lb loss
Total loss so far 4st 5.25lb

Trying hard not be disappointed after I saw 11st 7lb on the scale at the weekend. But I know, realistically, 1.5lb loss is great at this stage in the process. I am aiming for that Interim Goal and then it might become my final goal!
Good luck to everyone weighing and jabbing xxx

BreezyPeer · 18/09/2025 07:33

Morning 🌄 losers!
Weigh in and jab day today.
Photo shoot this afternoon 🤣🤣
Hoping to get some outside shots so luckily I have got some great friends who have rearranged work/lives to meet me while it's still light!!
I'm working this morning, off this afternoon and back to work this evening.
On a more difficult front, I have to go to a funeral tomorrow for a dear friend and friend of the family 😢
@PenelopePoweringOn great idea to join the local gym. 🏋️‍♀️ it sounds like good value, especially with a pool.
@meatyryvita I am really interested in Wegovy. Just in case I need help when I finally get to maintenance. Thank you for the update.

Zempy · 18/09/2025 07:35

@BlueLimes I’m also INTJ. I think Myers Briggs is fairly accurate.

meatyryvita · 18/09/2025 07:53

@PenelopePoweringOn @BreezyPeer ah I meant to say what dose I was on - oops! They put me on 1mg right away. So 7.5mg MJ switched to 1mg of Wegovy x

OP posts:
meatyryvita · 18/09/2025 07:56

@PenelopePoweringOn thank you for your kind words! It’s still very odd to see myself in the mirror but also when I’m doing things like moisturising my legs (Q10 to firm it all up) and there’s far less of me to smooth it over.

@BreezyPeer FAB stats! Your next interim goal is but a whisper away! I’m also so sorry for your loss and hope that your get some closure x

OP posts:
HeidiLite · 18/09/2025 07:56

@BreezyPeer sorry to hear about your friend.

So what are you planning for the photoshoot, you holding a dead fish? You and a car? You and a random group of friends, impossible to see which one is you? With hat and sunglasses? Or maybe just use an old photo, extra points if wedding photo, where partner's face is scribbled out.
Works for men..

Jins · 18/09/2025 08:03

Another INTJ here.

NSV. I have a thigh gap!!!! Not a complete thigh gap like a supermodel but a gap nonetheless. It must have sneaked up on me. I think it confirms that I don’t need to lose too much more. I’ve still got 8.11 in my head which gives me some leeway but 9st is going to be my upper limit. 9.9 was the weight when everything went green on Renpho so that’s stored in my head as well.

I had a weird craving for proper old-school liver and onions like my Gran used to make yesterday. I’m a firm believer in leaning into cravings as it’s my body’s way of pointing out a deficiency. I just have to keep reminding myself that cravings for chocolate or flapjacks are to be ignored 🤣

I’m bringing my jab forward a day and will be back to Friday as jab day. It’s a better day to deal with potential weekend excesses and it’s just more convenient to have weigh in and jab on the same day.

Have a great day losers.

edit - missed some posts while writing. Fab weigh in results here and I’m sorry about the sad news @BreezyPeer

Morning all! I’ve not been on for a while and tried to catch up but there’s so many messages I can’t remember who has said what 😄

I have been busy browsing Vinted the past week or so. Uploaded a few bits which have mostly all sold (still have a pile to get through!) so I’m pleased with that. I’ve somehow managed to curate my Vinted feed to show me exclusively 00’s Topshop which is quite funny, and I keep buying bits which I wanted to wear at the time but never did. I’ve just bought a leopard print fur jacket from Warehouse that the seller bought about 20 years ago! I always wanted one but felt like the honey monster in a fur jacket. I’ve got in my head that I am going to wear all the 00’s ‘indie cool girl’ stuff I could never wear the first time around. I’ve also purchased an old Topshop velvet floral 60s style dress and a skirt too, and I have some Dr Martens Mary Jane’s winging their way to me from the La Redoute sale 😄 Next on my hit list is an All Saints leather biker jacket because it was my ultimate dream to have one back in the day!

I have a cashmere & wool camel coat in the wardrobe which I pulled out to try on but it has some small bits where the moths have gotten to it 😢 I am gutted as it is gorgeous and was a complete bargain from a local vintage shop which was closing down about 10 years ago. I’m going to get it dry cleaned and I think if I colour match some thread I can do some neat stitching where the missing fibres are and it should blend ok. It really is minimal damage so hopefully I can rescue it.

I still haven’t reached my official goal of 8st 7 but I’ve stopped actively trying really. Been bouncing around between 8st 8 and 8st 10 and I think that suits me just fine.

Also freezing cold over here. DH has had the heating on this week and I’ve been wearing many layers. I am very much looking forward to dress, tights and boots season regardless 🥳

HeidiLite · 18/09/2025 08:54

I really need to consider my wardrobe more carefully, so I don't buy a ton of cute stuff and keep wearing 20% of them 80% of the time. So the current plan is to:

stick to my colour palette only
favour plain clothes and not patterned, way easier to mix and match
not buy new things if I already have something similar in my wardrobe that fits and is in good condition. No I really don't need another pair of navy trousers.
Will see how this goes. As someone said, you only really need enough so you can go to the same place daily and people don't start thinking you never change your clothes.

I bought those trousers, love them, and have a plum cardigan that goes well (matching, but not exactly the same colour), but not sure what top would work. Any suggestions? www.lindex.com/fr/p/3000057-7268-lilac-trousers?hl=en
Purplish burgundy works for me, but not rusty/orange.

Boot season will need to wait, we are having a freak heatwave, 30 degrees over the weekend.

HeidiLite · 18/09/2025 09:25

Also if you haven't seen, when we are all closer to goal and have less fat on the body, manufacturer recommends jabbing at an angle:
