Feel free to lurk or post, absolutely no judgement here, just support and encouragement as we list old clothes on vinted, give thanks for MJ as we have had the BEST Summer in years as we are all significantly lighter.

Join us here to celebrate NSV’s, weight loss milestones, maintenance and our lowest stone brackets!

I’m on W42 D1 and on w2 of my first titrating down pen of 5.0mg

F in my early 50’s
H 5’ 5.5”
SW 13st 11lb
CW 9st 6.0lbs
GW 9st 0lb
Total loss so far 61.0 lbs

We recommend the Shotsy app to monitor the amount of MJ in the system and pleasing graphs to look at…plus the MeThreeSixty body scan app to monitor inch loss for the weeks where weight loss is slow but you might have lost body fat etc. Both are free.

Feel free to swap recipes that might inspire anyone in a food rut, tips for managing side effects, exercise tips, tips for maintenance, titrating up or down and we love a wellness/supplements/beauty/ style chat too 🥰

Happy Saturday everyone.. no weight loss for me this week… I’ve actually gone up a lb this week but I did make a fakeaway mac D’s for dinner last night including teeny apple pies and I made DH and I cinnamon French toast for brunch yesterday (I’ve been hate watching the Meghan Markle Netflix show on the treadmill and I think it’s got to me.. although I’m not covering all food with flower sprinkles just yet 😂) Step count has been very good, Pvolve count for the week was 5 (and is now 185 classes plus 1 in-person since I started last November) but no tennis recently as my coach suffered a parental bereavement and then ended up in hospital with suspected sepsis poor chap.

Have a fab weekend!

I’m back to my low today, just in time for me to gain weight on hols!
I took my last jab Tuesday and haven’t bought a pen with me. I’ll be interested to see how it goes with food noise and will power.

lovely to read more stones gone, weight boundaries crossed and sizes reduced. Well done to all.
Think it’s amazing we’re all still plodding on.

MsRumpole · 30/08/2025 11:13

I'm feeling very excited today - bit of a whoosh - although I have done that thing where you weigh in outside of your normal weigh in date and then potentially go back up a couple of lb 😆

SW: 23 stone 10.9lb (Nov 2024)
CW: 20 stone 4.5lb (today!)
GW: 19 stone 2lb (feels doable!)

Total loss so far: 3 stone 6.4lb. I'm really very pleased with myself. Looking to get to 16 stone and then see how I feel about going lower.

7.5mg is really, really working for me at the moment - long may it last!

SerenePeer · 30/08/2025 13:14

Happy weekend luxury death jabbers!

I'm up a lb too @Mounjaropen but I've been rubbish with my water and have eaten more this week than I usually do - I've had a run of rubbish sleep, so been exhausted all week. Annoyingly I know perfectly well that a good gym session would sort me out but every morning I've woken up too exhausted to even contemplate it! Think I'll tell DH to kick me out of bed tomorrow to force me into the gym.

SerenePeer · 31/08/2025 09:10

Oh damn it. I've just given myself a much bigger dose of MJ than I meant to 🤦‍♀️I've been doing 11mg from a 10mg pen with counting the clicks but of course on my 4th dose, the pen jams before I get my full 10mg out of it. So I counted it was about 5 clicks short of a full dose and grabbed a syringe to top up. But I confused myself and drew up 0.4ml...so I've given myself 16mg i think. Oh crumbs. I need to be on form this week too - I've a big meeting on Tuesday, driving ds 4 hours back to uni tomorrow and I cannot be dealing with side effects 😭 What an idiot i am.

I did that back in July - was getting out the bonus dose and accidentally had something like 16.8mg. Luckily it was pretty much fine, perhaps be more careful to avoid greasy / fatty foods and drink loads of water. Fingers crossed you’ll be fine.

Goldleafcat · 31/08/2025 10:14

Morning everyone. After a lovely week away (North Wales, not too exotic!), I braved the scales this morning and I’ve put on 1.6lbs. I’m actually ok with that number tbh! I did try to make good choices for most of the week but did have some treats, and far too much rose and prosecco. Probably the naughtiest thing I had was a McDonald’s on the way home yesterday - my DH went for the Big Arches burger. Not had a McDonald’s in AGES and I was briefly tempted then saw it was 1057 calories just for the burger 😂

I had a Big Mac meal! Enjoyed it but was shocked by how salty it was. Isn’t it funny when you don’t have something junky for a long time how you really notice the salt / sugar etc when you do have it?

We had planned to have a treat Chinese takeaway last night but I convinced DH we should have something a bit lighter to offset the burgers (ended up making cod baked with lemon, thyme and veggies). Thank goodness I did I think.

Had an Ocado delivery this morning and have stocked up on loads of veg and nice fish / meat so hopefully will be back on track this week. I’ve been struggling a bit with nausea on and off for a couple of weeks, not sure if MJ related, but actually think it might be hormonal fluctuations because my period rather annoyingly rocked up a full 10 days early.

MsRumpole · 31/08/2025 10:22

@Goldleafcat I had that with KFC - used to be a major guilty pleasure of mine but now just tastes like teaspoon after teaspoon of salt!

Have you only injected 0.4ml or 0.4ml top up after your clicks from pen?

MagnoliaTreePetals · 31/08/2025 11:17

What a lovely post @MsRumpole lovely to hear about your success, but also that you are feeling happy and positive. You are doing brilliantly! You are within a gnats whisker of 3.5 stone.
Those 6 pack, 1.5 litres of bottled water weigh 1.5 stone. next time you are in the supermarket have a lift of one of them..... You have lost well over 2! Fabulous.

Sleep! Me too @SerenePeer Yet again I woke up at 4am and didn't go back to sleep, despite all the relaxing/breathing exercises etc. So I gave up at 7am, went to the pool and did lengths. I thought what's the point in lying here just getting annoyed with insomnia, at least I could do something positive.

I agree with @Goldleafcat , If going up a dose either accidentally or on purpose, its a good idea to steer well clear of any trigger foods. I know we all experience different ones, but the main culprits of high fat/sugar/processed foods etc are good to avoid, & fizzy water. Also try to keep your meals small, you can always have a snack later if you get hungry.

My last 12.5mg pen (which was my second at that dose) gave me a couple of days of nausea each week. This new pen has not had that effect at all. DH wondered if it was because the other one got delivered at 'room temperature' during the heat wave, which was near 30 degrees. Who knows! Just happy that I seem to be back to normal after jabbing.

Happy Sunday Everyone.

MsRumpole · 31/08/2025 11:29

I find that a high fat food is ok for me as long as it's something like EV olive oil in a fibre/protein-rich salad. I also find that this doesn't bother my slightly grumpy gallbladder in the same way as a sat fat fryvaganza. But it's very trial and error, isn't it? I really hope 7.5mg keeps working for me as I hate going up a dose.

SerenePeer · 31/08/2025 13:08

@lovealongbath it was 0.4 on top of 54 clicks of my 10mg pen 🤦‍♀️ i was rushing and didn't read the dosing chart properly.

@goldleafcat that's what I was thinking - lots of water and avoid anything fatty, sugary or overly processed. I might even keep food to an absolute minimum tomorrow just in case.

@magnoliatreepetals red meat and pineapple are my biggest triggers as well as high fat, so I'll be swerving all of that! I've just had some berries and greek yogurt for a quick dose of protein and vitamins, so if that's all I end up eating today it's not the end of the world. I've had some nutrition at least! Well done you on being productive with your swimming! I need to take a leaf out of your book, especially as my gym is open 24 hours a day! I could easily just fit in a short workout at 5am instead of lying in my bed willing myself back to sleep!

Right. Off to start chugging water to make sure I'm properly hydrated!

RayonSunrise · 31/08/2025 13:35

Morning all, congrats on all the excellent progress! I’ve been out for a run today and it’s SO NICE to not have aching feet from carrying around more weight than they can handle. Definitely a NSW!

I’m slightly frustrated this week. My cholesterol is just on the edge of acceptable, and has been for ages. My health and diet are already pretty good though - while I can always make some tweaks I already avoid processed and high fat foods, try to keep moving, etc. I’ve been “on the edge” cholesterol-wise since hitting full menopause though. It’s really dispiriting!

Have you only injected 0.4ml or 0.4ml top up after your clicks from pen?

This is my calculation if it helps….

0.4 ml is 40 clicks + 54 clicks = 94 clicks in total which is just over 15.5 mg

And @SerenePeer I’ve added a shot of biona tart cherry juice (available on Ocado) to mine and DH’s bedtime routine.. alongside the magnesium gummies we talked about a couple of threads ago…. We’ve both never slept so deeply. I’d recommend trying.if insomnia is an issue for you both.

I think having something highly prized previously is actually quite helpful in our journey because it reinforces the old adage “nothing tastes as nice as being thin feels’ I drove past my local Maccy D’s yesterday and thought - I’ve literally not thought about you for nearly a year. Amazing when I think back to how I used to feel…

Do something gentle tomorrow to get you back in the swing of things. A fast walk on the treadmill whilst watching shit telly usually does it for me. Plus it’ll have the added bonus of helping you sleep tomorrow night 😉
