Oushk now have all doses in stock - limited to 2 pens per customer, for anyone who needs xx

I just think the messaging around this switch is very disingenuous. Before this almost every provider recognised that it wasn’t as good. Now it’s the best thing since sliced bread.

I think Wegovy is not as effective as Mounjaro. From what I have seen from providers the stats are quoted, but I think the overwhelming message we are getting is that its the most cost-effective now. When the facts / pricing has changed, of course the recommendation will change. We have a few choices - continue on Mounjaro (which is what I will be doing as I can afford it), stop or switch based on a clinical recommendation to do so. I think the overwhelming blame here is on Eli Lilly - everyone else is reacting and looking for solutions. Thats how healthcare and businesses work.

Oh I definitely believe that Eli Lilly carry the majority of the blame here.

but I do think pharmacies are pushing wegovy as being nearly identical to MJ, with just slight differences. I think that’s unfair, and raising people’s expectations

MissMogs · 18/08/2025 15:32

Lotus website back up and running. No 4 pen bundles but I was able to order a 2 pen bundle. Never used them before so not sure if it’ll be approved. Also the photo of my prescription I sent was only dated Friday so they may say it’s too soon! They must know that people are stocking up ahead of massive price increases not intending to overdose though??

timba · 18/08/2025 15:33

ThatCyanSheep · 18/08/2025 12:47

Yes I was sure there was a 5 week period between MJ and wegovy. But some said that was only if going from wegovy to MJ?

I don’t get why the FB keeps getting pulled. You’re not allowed to talk about anything anymore!

It takes 4-5 weeks for Mounjaro to mostly cleared from the body. It's about 5 days half-life (ie.. half of it left after this time). It's not necessary to fully clear the MJ before starting Wegovy, as they have an overlap in the GLP-1 receptors they work on. So I think thats how providers are looking at it for converting over, vs starting back at the beginning. I would think you want slow and steady speak to your provider (which is why I choose some of the more premium wraparound providers) to customise it based on your side-effects and wants. I imagine others are keen to maintain their effectiveness and happier to switch more directly over.

But it is pretty similar when you look at the data, in the grand scheme of things - its not a massive enough difference to justify the Eli Lilly price jump imo. I think of course up to people to decide based on their financial circumstances. I can afford to pay for the best product, but for the average person I think its debatable. Unfortunately these price games have been played by pharma. for years.

I totally agree re. Finances, I’m lucky enough to be able to stay on.

but wegovy is a totally different drug, it doesn’t act on both GLP-1 and GIP, a lot of people have reported severe side effects on wegovy but not MJ, and it is scientifically proven to be less effective at the doses on the market now. A lot of pharmacies seem to be pushing it because it’ll be available at 7.2mg, but nobody knows when that’ll be and it’ll no doubt be expensive

HansHolbein · 18/08/2025 15:42

My concern in switching to Wevovy is that what if a ton of people do the same, then there will be stock issues… will they then put the prices up due to ‘supply and demand’? Is that a valid concern?

Pyjamatimenow · 18/08/2025 15:42

I did wegovy before and the toilet issues were very alarming. Didn’t lose much on it either. I’m not keen on switching. I’m at target weight and on a maintenance dose of 10mg. No confidence I’d be able to maintain this weight without it. I get ravenous on day 5/6 after jabbing as it is.

Orangesandlemons77 · 18/08/2025 15:45

For anyone who has referral credit with Voy and wants to swap over to wegovy, or start on it they seem to be doing a good discount on the wegovy atm.

I have a bit of referral credit so that seems to have been combined with this other discount and my first pen has been free, no postage costs either, and checking my account this also seems to apply to my second pen as well.

The first one arrived this morning and seems a bit shorter dated than the MJ pens have been as it is dated Dec 2025.

Of course I will have to seem how the side effects go first!- but if they are ok I will probably be sticking as I'm nearly at maintenance so it doesn't matter to me if the weight loss is slower, as long as it prevents me regaining.

They have also said if I want to swap back that is also fine, I can use the referral discount for that as well.

Last summer I had some free MJ pens from Voy as well, with their referral discount before it became 60% off, which I have used since then so I have been quite lucky with Voy even though their general costs are higher than some.

If I get on Ok with the wegovy, I intend to spread the pens out to over 2 months for each one, taking a lower dose. I will let them send the pens out monthly and then stockpile them to continue doing this for maintenance, if they are still reduced price

For anyone who wants a referral code mine is over on the discounts section.

I feel like I've won the lottery, ive just been approved for a 5mg from Chemist4u for 138 quid... swapped from PharmacyOnline who had upped their prices very quickly.

When did you place the order with them? I'm waiting to hear about my order, just wondering how long they are taking

ThatCyanSheep · 18/08/2025 16:53

My friend placed her order with Oushk on Thursday and it has been delivered today. I still haven’t heard. Starting to get a little nervous to be honest!

On the 14th, impressed with their quick responses and service. I've also got an order in with Med Express where I have 80 quid credit who are the polar bloody opposite. They keep refusing me despite being a customer from May last year. They keep emailing with requests for info i've supplied 10 times. I just want to use my credit then bin them off.

Fab, thanks, I ordered on Saturday so a couple of days behind you. I'll try and be patient!

My friend has just messaged to say there are rumours that Novo are halving the cost of their drugs in the USA to keep prices the same in the UK.

Fair play to them if they are. Eli Lilly should be ashamed.

Personally I’m not sure I’d move across, but that would be huge for Americans on ozempic.

That's amazing, heard great things from friends on Voy. Can you share your code please - might consider if I switch from MJ, as nearing my maintenance weight.

Orangesandlemons77 · 18/08/2025 17:30

I've PM-ed you Timba as can't share it on here, it is also in the promo codes area.

NewLifter · 18/08/2025 17:34

I'm feeling much calmer. I placed an order for 2 from oushk, I didn't really want to so held off for a bit as I didn't want to block anyone who is running out. I think I waited long enough, there doesn't seem to be an issue with the lower doses, I'm on 5. That will give me 4 pens from the start of Sept, which I feel good about.

I think I will order one every 6 weeks or so to stagger it to offset the cost and to slowly use up my supply, then re-evaluate in the new year.

I will have been maintaining a year in December, plan had been to continue taking it for at least 2 years but we shall see.

I'm feeling much better now, though it feels like things over at Oushk are chaos so I hope that all settles down fast.

MissFancyDay · 18/08/2025 17:41

I'm with Zava and have been for a year. Everything has been slower for a few days but only to be expected with the increased volume.

They are offering a switch to Wegovy but you will need at least a month off and start at the lowest dose. After reading on here, and the uncertainty about price of Wegovy in the future, I won't be going down that route.

Zava not announced their prices yet. To be honest that is something that gives me confidence as hopefully they are still negotiating. I reckon that I have potentially another 4 to 5 months on Mounjaro and have two pens ordered and confirmed at present prices. To finish off I will either reduce strength, or borrow to finance my present strength.

All maintenance plans are out of the window at the moment and will reassess in a few months when things are a bit more settled.

gardenangels · 18/08/2025 18:16

I applied for a pen with Chem4u on Friday evening. Still heard nothing. When I log in it's says consultation under consideration.

ThatCyanSheep · 18/08/2025 18:17

Rumours floating around that Oushk have announced their prices via email, but I’m not getting all these emails!
