Heading into month three now!

Asda did a bundle!! Not seen one- someone else said they got a £10 off email also! I ordered day of price increase announcement and ordered the 7.5mg on from Asda- as it happens that was about 4 weeks after my last order but I’ve used the golden dose once and got an extra week out of one one using 3.75mg. I ordered 7.5mg because I thought it would be more cost effective with the price increase but then I saw someone explain the 4 weeks bacteria explanation with a jar of unopened:opened jam and keeping it in the fridge after opening for 4 weeks and it made sense- now I scared to use the extra doses in the 7.5mg after the 30days (5 doses!!). I’m sure when the price list comes out though I’ll get over it, I mean I do eat jam that is opened and hasn’t been kept in the fridge so…

You can get 5 doses within the 30 days and 6 goes just beyond….as Jab1 is day 0, jab 2 day 7, jab 3 day 14, jab 4 day 21, jab 5 day 28, jab 6 would be day 35! Keep in fridge for extra safety?

Oh my goodness thank you @SunandMoor for that, I'm using a 5mg pen for 3.75 doses and used the wrong rationale for counting so thought last dose is day 35 but it's not, it's day 28!! Makes me feel a bit better!

@waitingforlifeonmars I had the £10 off too, I think they were worried I was leaving them but because I was doing 3.75 doses it just meant I needed to order a week later than usual!

@RussianDoll76 that's super hard for you and your daughter. Hope you find a resolution soon.

Week 12 Day 7 here and a mere 0.4lb off this week. I'm partly disappointed but also know where I've gone wrong so can't really complain, just sort of hoped the MJ would work some magic for me, when really I need to put the effort in too!

I'm 1.8lbs away from losing a stone and a half, and 3.2lbs away from losing 10% of body weight and 4.8lbs away from pre-baby weight and my first mini goal! It's all within my grasp but with one final week of school hols for the kids, we have a few days out and treats planned so we'll see how the week goes. Happy bank holiday weekend 🎉

Can they even be prescribed it at 15? It sounds too young. Can she not eat the same healthy diet as you - she should lose anyway. Tell her your “older hormones” are sabotaging your previous attempts, and that MJ should be a last resort.

I feel for your situation. Am I misunderstanding your post, as it sounded like your daughter was asking to use the pen that has been prescribed to you? You really mustn't let your daughter try this treatment. This is on the patient information leaflet -
"This medicine should not be given to children and adolescents under 18 years of age because it has not been studied in this age group."
I'm sure you wouldn't forgive yourself if anything untoward happened as a result.

This is me! I have been fine and went to the end of my first 5mg pen. Then all of a sudden I was sitting on the toilet and vomiting at the same time, sorry tmi! Stomach in great discomfort with noises like nothing like it. Try some Gaviscon and Immodium dual action (chemist advised this to me). I have not been right since this episode, I left four days between the time my next dose was due and even now mid way point during the week I am struggling. I think my next one I will drop to 3.75 or lower. I have a 7.5mg pen though. If it continues I will have to stop because I am miserable now. It is constant discomfort. 🫣😒

Do you ever look at people's weight loss pictures and think "there is no way they've done that without a little MJ help!"

She doesn’t want my injections she wants me to get her some . I will not do that even if I was allowed. For me this is helping me get to a healthy body and better mindset , menopause and years of diet abuse and PCOS ( insulin resistance) have got me where I am. I am trying to make her see that it’s not something she needs . Her friend group are all tiny little girls and she is taller and she is well built. Not fat . She has lost some weight this summer but naturally as she should. Today we have been out lots of walking and some retail therapy . She says she understands. She just wants a quick fix. I will be so much more mindful of talking about weight and sizes around her. I don’t want her to have an unhealthy obsession with food like I had. We have got lots of healthy foods and we are going to do some cooking using as much healthy food as possible . She’s excited for that. My mum guilt is in overdrive. Ironically part of the reason I was determined to lose weight is I didn’t want her friends to laugh at her big fat mum 😔.

I have lost a stone!!!!! So happy! I’ve done 9 jabs and it’s jab day today so week 10 I guess (it’s really week 11 but I missed a week as I was on holiday). Can’t believe I’ve lost a stone! I look so much better, my clothes fit better, my face looks better, I feel so much more positive about myself and my life.

I wish when I was younger I’d understood nutrition and exercise instead of binging and starving myself. Your dd is learning the best lesson in the long run. It’s so hard now when we’re all bombarded with images of ‘beauty’ and ‘fitness’ which aren’t real in any sense of the word.

I am buzzing to realise that this week I have 3 wins, the new scale bracket I mentioned the other day, over the 2st down mark and over 10% of my body weight lost!

Feeling good for it and have some mini-goals in place to keep moving. Holidays in Sept so I'd like another 7lbs off for those, then another holiday in Oct I'd love another stone by then. They're mini targets though, and if they move, they move. I'm happy with any downward trend ☺️

It’s so hard @RussianDoll76 . Sounds like she feels better about it. I wish I could go back to my 15 yr old self and explain that I’m not actually fat! Unbelievable when I look at old photos.

I’ve purposely not mentioned anything about a diet, only talked about being healthy if they’ve asked why I’m having salad instead of chips or something. I find it funny that neither of them have noticed I’ve lost almost 2 stone! Classic teenagers 😂

Ive always been grateful that they both seem to have inherited their dad’s metabolism and skinny frame. So my ex was good for something 😂😂.

Bolt have cancelled my 7.5mg pen, I have 2 in the fridge and will be dosing at 5mg to make them last. I’ve had a big change to my finances which means I’m unlikely to be able to continue after these. Silly really as it’s costing me £15 a week and I’m saving way more than that on takeaway and wine

@RussianDoll76@FoxRedPuppy I love how carefully you and others are thinking about how you are Influencing your children. You sound like such responsible parents and great role models.

I remember doing the cabbage soup diet when I was about 16 and my mum encouraged it and even made the soup for me 😧☠️ it's no wonder it's taken me over 20 years to start to fix my relationship with food and body image 😆

I'm struggling on 5mg too. I've been logging symptoms and everytime I jab the two days following I have horrendous stomach pain, can barely eat and headaches (probably because I can't eat) Then it evens off and I'm fine the rest of the week. I'm deffo going to give split dosing a go next week as I didn't have any of this on 2.5 or 3.75

Oh heck @Crinklecat seeing the numbers in writing is quite daunting. It's quite steep.

Thoughts and prayers for me tonight please - just had a meal out and my steak and vegetables was swimming in butter. It was all so rich and greasy, I feel queasy just thinking about it. The taste was lovely but not very confident my stomach will handle it well! I was meant to jab tonight but I think I'll delay until tomorrow night to give myself a fighting chance 😂

You might be ok. I don’t seem to react at all to the type of food. I had chips and battered sausage with no ill effects!

Lord I have gone from a week of no poop to excruciating bowel cramps amd diarrhoea. I have also felt absolutely washed out since I injected yesterday.

Those prices are sobering crinklecat!!

I hope so @FoxRedPuppy I've only had one bout of diarrhoea on the whole journey and eaten all sorts. Felt like I was pushing my luck tonight!!

🤯 Wowzer. No way is that sustainable for the vast majority of people I suspect. If I settle down on a lower dose I am making my last pen (that is 7.5mg) last over the recommended month and then stop. I feel so sad for people who have just started and have so much to lose. 😒

4lb loss this week, after none last week, for a total of 1st 13. Today I’ve done my 13th injection. I’m still on 2.5 and plan to stick with that although the hunger has crept back in. The food noise was always my biggest issue and that’s still massively reduced.

I’ve always been open about taking it, I’ve told pretty much everyone, in part to hold myself accountable. But this past week there have been a couple of negative comments which for some reason I’ve allowed to upset me! Definitely need to be more thick skinned!

Yeah ignore them! I saw an article today saying Serena Williams has been openly using WLIs. So if she is ok with it, I’m ok!

I’ve lost the 0.5kg and have now lost 2 stone! (I know it’s weird mixing kg and stone!).

I’ve now lost the weight that I gained in 8 weeks when out on steroids 3 years ago (which actually didn’t work because I was misdiagnosed!).
