@waitingforlifeonmars extra walking will have created temporary water weight, well it does for me anyway. 3lbs isn’t bad at all. I was looking at my old weight changes from a few years ago and I’d just lost 3 stone, went on a 2 week all inclusive and gained a stone! I never want to do that again

you were all right about new clothes making me feel better, I’ve got a few bits from Vinted in a 12 and they fit (even if they are a bit snug..). Also did a H&M order and the website was suggesting xl for me but a medium fits.

I do have new saggy love handles which I didn’t have before, like a bump at the side below my hips?! I hope this goes….

FoxRedPuppy · 15/11/2025 11:15

I read that any skin and fat left sort of evens out after a while from weight loss. Like saggy skin and random bits. I have weird bits when I wear a bra. It isn’t exactly back fat, but sort of skin that rolls over the rim of the bra!

I noticed yesterday that I have little wrinkle as loose skin on the front of my ankles where they meet my feet! So weird! Never thought of that as a place I’d get loose skin 😂

Crinklecat · 15/11/2025 19:51

Me again… but I’ve just realised, I’m now “mid size” (12/14) rather than plus size! I mean my bottom half is definitely more a 16 but dresses and shape wise I’m mid size now. Crazy

RatherTardy · 16/11/2025 07:57

My weightloss has massively slowed, but it it still trickling down (half an lb this week).
But i do still look very overweight, because i am. Bmi of 28.6. I keep reminding myself, it's a process.
And I am thrilled to be overweight not obese.
I think it is harder in the winter. As it's colder, our bodies need more fuel. And it's less pleasurable eating salad.

I have a big event on 19th December and really, really hope to be a comfortable size 16 for it.
The dress I'd love to wear fits, but is too tight in places.
I have a month....

waitingforlifeonmars · 16/11/2025 08:37

@RatherTardygood luck getting into your dress. Apart from the nightmare going to the loo in it, would shapewear help also? My weight loss has slowed immensely also.

@Crinklecat thank you, 🤞it’s just water weight but I did eat a lot also if I’m being totally honest, a lot of noodles, so flour based carbs which do nothing for me!
@FoxRedPuppy walking and losing weight was wishful thinking on my part, so the old adage “no pain no gain” turned out to be not quite right! Although, I was in pain (ached) and I did gain weight 😂😂 As for Asda, I liked the whole picking it up process, until it hadn’t been refrigerated, I lost all faith it the particular pharmacist at the store, and the customer service from Asda was rubbish, properly rubbish!

my friend has just informed me that the NHS has a weight loss app, she’s using that, she’s lost 4lb in 2weeks. She’s very focused and motivated when she loses weight though and has a lot less to lose. She didn’t know I’m on the jabs.

My current NSV is both happy and sad, I have to use a hair bobble to hold up my favourite pj bottoms!

I’m sure you can @RatherTardy! and if not maybe Spanx?

I can’t do salad in the cold, I’m eating soup instead. I have a soup maker and bung everything in there.

FoxRedPuppy · 17/11/2025 07:26

I’ve shifted slightly! I’m pretty much at my original goal, and I’ve decided it will be my goal. Sod trying to lose another 5kg. I actually do think that anymore would be too much for me.

So, SW 88kg
CW 65.2kg
GW 65kg

That gives me a BMI of 23, which I think is fine. But I don’t have a lot of fat left, I’m 5’6” and have broad shoulders, I can see ribs!

Im happy bobbing around 65kg (10st 3lbs)

BMI of 13 is a fab achievement , well done you!

LadyClumber · 17/11/2025 09:09

What are your plans for maintenance?

Slowly titrate down. I have a 7.5 in fridge, then go to 5 for a few months and then 2.5. Maybe off completely by March/April.

I know it was just a typo, but a bmi of 13 would NOT be a fabulous achievement!

Congratulations @FoxRedPuppy a bmi of 23vis amazing 🎊 👏 💐

I think if it was 13 then those “you look too thin” people might have a point 😂

Focusispower · 17/11/2025 13:58

@Mynewusersame I have given myself a 3lb buffer against my original
target weight. It’s helpful because pre-period I went up that full 3lb and post period 2lb has come off again! I was going to maintain alone but after 3 weeks I decided I’d maintain on 2.5mg for another two months or so just to take the edge off the food noise over winter and the festive season as I have so many dinners and social events in the diary.

Well done @FoxRedPuppy.

I am sure you can do it @RatherTardy!

I'm losing and gaining the same 3lbs which is fun. My next target is to lose a stone, so I'll be under 100kg. I don't weigh myself in kg, or think of myself in kg, but I'm borrowing it as a milestone because I can.

I therefore need my weight to stop dicking around.

I was off work last week and while I maintained v good control over calories from food, calories from booze went somewhat awry. I'd still be in deficit, but... So my current thinking is that the weight gain is inflammation.

This doesn't explain the previous weeks of going up and down 3lb, but I need a reason to prevent myself from going mad. ;-)

I'm being very very strict this week. At the moment, I'm going up and down between 16st 10 and 16st 13. By the end of this week, I am determined to be 16st 9. So at least I'll only be going up to 16st 12, right?

It is heartening to read so many of you are plateauing tbh. But also frustrating af for all of us.

I'm not feeling too daunted by Christmas though. Resisting Christmas snacks and not feeling at all interested/excited by the prospect of a house full of treats for everyone else. The food noise really has disappeared. SO WHY ISN'T THIS FUCKING 3lbs?

Sigh.

16 stone FUCKING 10.

This morning was weigh in day.

IndigoBabble · 17/11/2025 17:51

I’ve not been on for ages but I’m the same. Bobbing up and down between 10 stone 5 and 7. Effing annoying.

FoxRedPuppy · 17/11/2025 20:53

Sorry for the plateaus.

We are only 10 posts away from needing a new thread!

IndigoBabble · 17/11/2025 20:54

Has anyone got advice for getting out of the plateau rut? I don’t think I’m overeating…

MissMogs · 17/11/2025 21:02

All I can say is keep doing what you’re doing, as you know it’s worked this far. It might be a sticking point for your body but stay consistent and hopefully you’ll push through with a rush!

I decided to order another pen and tried Numan as they had a good deal on (£130 off first order!) It’s given me a code to offer others for £100 too. They’ve come back asking for an explanation of the gap since August so I hope they still honour the order after I explained about stocking up before prices increased. Has anyone else used them?

IndigoBabble · 17/11/2025 21:04

Thank you! I’m so close to target too. I may have to order another pen as about to start my last one. Would definitely like a code if you have one? Thanks

Haha, typo indeed!
Wherever we started I don’t think any of us want a BMI of 13! ❤️

We’re heading into Christmas holidays so I think it’ll be a tough time for all of us - but we’re all here to support one another! 👍🏻

Pennina · 20/11/2025 08:37

Waving from my plateau too! Crept down to 15st 2lb from 16 st 9 lb start weight at last week of June (slow loss but getting there so that’s the main thing), now stuck and today have gone up by 2lb. On 7.5mg trying to decide whether 10 mg might help or whether to hold firm and try harder. I am super busy at the moment so although I have good suppression still my choices are not always great, ie toasted bagel in car for breakfast. Also going out/eating at friends a lot ATM. Am 💯 going for small portions and careful choices but it possibly more food than I need. Anyone else on 10 yet?

Librariesrule · 20/11/2025 15:58

Another 1lb down, total of 2st 5lb. 😀
