Heading into month three now!

I would jab Friday morning too!

I am in the opposite position - I usually jab Thursdays (I have just done this week’s) and we go away on Monday until Friday so I am going to delay by a day rather than stress about taking the pen to Europe/the kids catching me injecting.

I have finished my first week on 5mg without any real side effects but I feel also without any more suppression than 2.5mg. In fact I think I have been much hungrier yesterday than any other point of the 12 week journey so far! Maybe I need 7.5mg which is annoying as I bought a second 5mg last week… My period is due this weekend though, could that be lessening the suppression?

The scales have been teetering to 10 stone 12 this week which I would have loved to have got to today! Per my lb weigh in I am 152.2 lb so maybe I am already there?! It feels a bit mean that my scales have rounded up when on the stone measurements!

I’d probably jab a day early for the sake of remembering to take it all. I’m not bothered about being seen as it takes me a minute and I know I can do it in bathroom (my teenagers are horrified at the very thought of glimpsing any part of my naked flesh, so avoid me!)

Unfortunately Asda have just emailed to say they have cancelled my next order due to stock so once this 7.5 pen is done in 2 weeks I’m gonna go it alone it’s been a good run and hope it’s given a good base to continue. I know there are other options but can’t justify the price increase and you know what I won’t know if I have unless I try the options will always be there if I need to go again.

What is everyone else doing regarding getting their medication? I have one dose (and a golden dose) left in my current 5mg pen. I’ve filled in my repeat form but have yet to hear back from my provider. They usually respond and dispatch within 24-48 hours. Starting to panic they’ve not got supplies (or cynically thinking they’re holding them back until September and will charge the higher prices!).

I don’t think I can afford/justify paying more than I am currently paying so may have to end my journey sooner than I’d want. I’m about a stone away from my target weight and have enjoyed the journey so far.

Luckily I have a 5mg pen left. I have 6lb to go to target but have been only doing 3.75mg. Im hoping that the last pen will get me to target. Honestly think im going to switch to wegovy to try and maintain whilst tapering dose down

I've been on 5mg. My second 5mg pen arrived the day before the announcement.

Today Farmeci put through an order for a 10mg, which I intend to use in 7.5mg doses after I use the second 5mg pen up.

And then I'll see how the land lies...

Tbh, I'm still in shock at how good this stuff is. I can't remember the last time I was under 10st-this morning's scales told me I now am. 🎉

I really hope that once the prices settle down after 1 Sept, I (and lots of us on this thread) can still justify,and be able to afford, continuing with the jabs.

For those of you who decide to switch to Wegovy, I'll be reading your stories with interest.

I don’t know anything about Wegovy. Is it an option to switch to it for maintenance/when near target weight or would you need to have a BMI of 30+ to be able to switch?

In order a new pen on the day of the announcement. I still have 3 (or 4) doses left in my current pen. Just picking my new one up at pharmacy now.

I will continue. I can afford to, just about especially if I stay on 5mg. It will mean some choices financially, but will manage. I’ve only got another stone to go.

And even if I stayed at my current weight I’d be happy.

I’ve done 3 jabs of 5mg now but thinking to drop down to 3.75mg again next week. I’m not having any side effects but suppression is high and lost another 3.5 pounds again this week which is a bit too fast for me. Also thinking it gives me the option to go up to 5mg again and pace myself a bit more. With the new pricing I’m not in a rush to speed through the doses and would rather stay as low as possible. For those who went back down from 5mg, did the lower dose still feel as effective?

2.5lbs down this week on 5mg. Week 13 and 25lbs down in total. I dont have a target weight as I want to see how I look rather than aim for a specific target. But up to potentially another 2 stone.

Definitely go with the lbs and do your own conversion!

I just had a look at Asda to re-order and they say they only have 2.5 and 5mg available and will only issue 5mg to existing customers. It's a bit silly that they're happy to issue 2.5mg to new customers as they will be stuck if they don't manage to sort out stock issues soon and the 5mg will be the next one in demand!

I'm kicking myself though as last time I ordered I noticed they had a bundle offer (which I'd not seen before), should have gone for it! But there we are, I'll probably carry on with the 5mg until the new year and then see how my bank balance is faring with the price hikes. I should be ok but if anything goes (car/boiler/household appliance) then it will be hard to justify the spend when something needs fixing!

I have purchased an extra pen in the wake of the pending price hikes from a new supplier. It arrived 2 days later all good. I wanted to be one ahead so I don’t get stuck . The past 2 days i have had 3 messages apologising for the delay in delivery and that’s new one is on its way 🤔 . Not sure what to do.
Bigger dilemma , I am now weighing ( by a few pounds) lighter than my dd she broke down this morning and begged me to let her have the jabs. I am brokenhearted. I have tried explaining that it’s not the dream and that to achieve a healthy relationship with food which she has been doing is so much better. Unfortunately she is surrounded by rapidly shrinking adults and I am now feeling immensely guilty that this is upsetting her. She has lost weight herself over the past year by eating better and exercising and I am so proud of her. We constantly praise and encourage her . Now she feels this isn’t enough. 😩. Don’t know what to do …….🥹

My juniper order arrived. Very discreet. Until you open the whacking gurt box and it’s printed EVERYWHERE! They sent scales. Actual digital scales, as well as a tape measure and sharps bin. Very thorough but good lord where am I meant to stash it all!!!

My provider has asked if I'm happy or want to switch to Wegovy, for a couple of months now. Also offered a switch to it instead of switching hrt. I am nearly at target bmi was 26 last order so hopefully not. I'm going to give it a try.

I'm with Juniper and they do the ordering automatically each month, you have to tell them if you want to delay etc. This month's pen arrived yesterday no issues for 5mg. They have said they aren't allowing any extra orders before price changes, so hopefully have good stock ongoing as their model sticks to regular orders.

I've had some referral code discounts, but very likely to need to switch providers once they run out so interested to hear the new prices and how easily people are managing to get pens via the various providers.

I was planning to stay on 5mg anyway as still losing slowly and steadily, so likely to stick with that when prices change. I'm hoping going slowly will help my body adjust to new normal, no idea if there's any scientific evidence for that though. I'm 1st 4lbs down now since start of June.

How old is your daughter? That sounds so hard for both of you

She is 15 . We have been motivating each other and she’s doing amazingly well. She is about 4 inches taller than me so I am supposed to weigh less than her. I just don’t want her to battle her weight like I always have . Now I think she see’s this as an easy option. I can’t make her see that she doesn’t need them . 😩

Started my 2nd 5mg pen on Tuesday. Side effects are here with a vengeance, sulphur burps/nausea/constipation and now loose movements. Was awake for a couple of hours with stomach pains. Off out with my friend shortly, fairly sure I won't be having cake or lunch. Can't even think about food, this is so not me.

Jabbed this morning, and managed my first golden dose. Think it went ok 😂🤷🏼‍♀️ now hoping no SE kick in on the drive up the country!

Hi all, it's been a while since i updated my journey so here's a snippet...

I was on 5mg for one month and had pretty decent nausea, I moved up to 7.5mg (just did dose 3) and this dose seems to suit me much better. Suppression is ideal and oddly the nausea is minimal. I have found that i am so tired though, also not sleeping well (perimenopause 3am wake ups!).
I'm off on holiday and taking my 4th 5mg dose with me (any advice? Can i just carry it in my hand luggage?).
I've decided to stay on 7.5mg for my next month too. The scales have been averaging 2lbs a week. Dropped almost 2 dress sizes too! Woo!

Weirdest thing i've found is that my bum is much smaller and now sitting for any period of time hurts! lol.
