Saving this to read later, thank you for sharing. I never would have thought she needed to lose weight!

Thornrose · 23/08/2025 10:46

Just checking in on the new thread. Great to catch up with everyone's progress.

I've plateaued for a few weeks and a bit frustrated.

I checked my old posts and was 14st 6lb on 11th July. I've been 13st 11 or 13st 10 for about 3 weeks now.

I think I need to knuckle down and eat better. I'm skipping meals and feeling hungry and irritable. Getting on the scales daily.

Sorry for such a negative post but it helps me to read back and remind myself where I'm at and where I want to be!

Yeah ignore them! I saw an article today saying Serena Williams has been openly using WLIs. So if she is ok with it, I’m ok!

I’ve lost the 0.5kg and have now lost 2 stone! (I know it’s weird mixing kg and stone!).

I’ve now lost the weight that I gained in 8 weeks when out on steroids 3 years ago (which actually didn’t work because I was misdiagnosed!).

SW 88kg
CW 75kg
GW 65kg

I read the article about Serena Williams in the paper. At first I thought great, she's being open and honest. Then I read further and it turned out she was working for the company supplying her, as a "brand ambassador" and that her husband was on the company's board of directors. So it did make me wonder if she was being "transparent" as she claimed, and if she would have been quite so open if she hadn't been getting paid.

FoxRedPuppy · 23/08/2025 12:21

Yeah I saw that afterwards!

I thought the same, felt positive at first, then it felt contrived !

NSV today, fit into a size 18 pair of trousers. Absolutely gobsmacked (started a size 22). Can't remember the last time I fit into a size 18 bottoms. Proper chuffed.

I actually ordered them for work a size smaller than I thought I needed cuz I would "eventually fit in" and cant believe they already fit. Buzzing!

SW: 132.2kg
CW. 121.8kg

SomethingAboutYou · 23/08/2025 20:13

@flameprincess I'm same as you - started at 22 and now size 18s fit comfortably. Obviously all shops are different but if I needed to order a new pair I'd quite confidently order size 18 and not fret about whether I need a 20 🎉 it feels goooood! Yay for us!!

MissMogs · 23/08/2025 20:30

Congrats on the losers! I’d love to go down a dress size. I’ve lost 11.5kg and although some tops feel a bit looser, nothing seems to have changed on the bottom! I had a lovely skirt I’d hoped to be wearing by the end of summer but doesn’t look likely now…my weight seems to be wobbling but pretty much unchanged since I moved to 7.5 which is weird because I’ve been pretty good with the eating and I drink loads of water and making the effort to walk way more than usual too. I feel cheated!

Yeah I'm not kidding myself that I would fit in an 18 jeans yet BUT I would order in the confidence that its a matter of time. Such a strange feeling!

Its been weird for me because I didnt go down a dress size at 9kg down (though current size felt more comfortable) but at 10kg its like I jumped 2 sizes down overnight. So relatively small weigh difference but I think my measurements/composition radically changed in a week. It will happen to you!

Wow that must have been so satisfying!! Here’s to hoping i have similar!

Gingercar · 23/08/2025 21:38

It’s really strange how dress sizes and weight works. I’ve lost 15kg but haven’t dropped a dress size. I’ve lost a fair few inches too. I must have been really cramming my arse into things! Or stretched everything as I got fatter!

RussianDoll76 · 23/08/2025 21:53

Bought some new shoes today gone from a size 5 to a very comfortable size 4 😳😳😳 not something I was expecting!!! Replacing my old favourites too. 5 were very loose . Weird

FoxRedPuppy · 23/08/2025 22:15

Could someone share their source for sterile needles for the 5th dose. Given the price rise think I might start doing it.

I had a similar NSV with my shoes recently too. I never realised I had fat feet 😂

Focusispower · 24/08/2025 04:25

Hey folks. Been awol and busy overindulging 🙈 currently away and had fish and chips on Friday and a lovely belated birthday meal yesterday. Can’t imagine there will be any weightloss this week. I was out on Wednesday night too. Haven’t had many side effects really, just bad sleep as per usual.

Waiting for my period to arrive too - which I’m hoping hurries up as I’m at a festival next weekend and it would be better to get it out of the way.

Think I’ll stick to a reduced dose equivalent to 2.5mg on Monday to allow me to enjoy the festival without fear of being really unwell. Then go up to 3.75mg. I’m going to order one more pen then I'm out and into the world of maintenance.

I used mediexpress for golden dose needles too @FoxRedPuppy Very easy to do. .

i have had a few NSV with lose clothes (and shoes - my feet have slimmed down) but I am wary of buying new clothes in case I stop MJ and put weight back on.

You may be surprised @Focusispower I'm a teacher, and have given up with all exercise and trying to eat sensibly over the holidays. My weight is still coming down. It's really bizarre!

MissMogs · 24/08/2025 08:59

Hooray a NSV for me! Trousers which I’d tried on and discarded before my holiday because they didn’t do up now fit! Still the same size I’ve been wearing anyway, but apparently not as forgiving as the others i have 😂

FoxRedPuppy · 24/08/2025 09:15

thanks for those! I’ll get ordering.

@Focusispower I have a similar fear about getting rid of too big clothes. I’ve done it so many times in my life, I keep thinking it would be better to store in the loft in case o don’t make it long term.

Im going to be sad to lose people on this thread, it’s a lovely comforting place to come and chat about all things weight and not weight related.

Weirdly I’m currently having my first sort of period in months. I have a coil and I’m perimenopausal so it doesn’t happen very often. Very inconvenient 😂

Focusispower · 24/08/2025 09:16

Hurray @MissMogs - it’s these things that make you realise how far you’ve come!

I’m not entirely ruling it out @Sogfree . I did 22k steps yesterday! Also making sure that around the treat meals, my general approach is still moderation. Will weigh when I get home on Wednesday morning and see!

I maintained when eating crap at the festival, but think I still ate less in quantity than I would have normally.

@MissMogs clothes size is so weird, I have things same size that don’t fit same! Great that they do now!

MissMogs · 24/08/2025 09:23

Thanks guys! ❤️

SomethingAboutYou · 24/08/2025 09:33

Clothes are weird! I can now close a pair of jeans without any palaver (I wore it once 6 weeks ago and had to open the button to sit down 😂) so now that they fit nicely I thought the pair I've been wearing since November would surely be falling down...nope they still fit. They are looser around the bum and legs though and a belt is needed after an hour or two as the stretch of wearing settles in. But I legit expected to see a gap between my waist and the button! 🤦‍♀️

Left it too late to order with Asda and they're out of 5mg now. Ordered a 2.5 as I'm only doing 3.75 and don't feel any different on that as I did on the 2.5 so will see if they approve it. I haven't seen their updated prices yet so not sure what the next order will cost 😬
