W15D7 for me, jab night tonight.
SW 18st 13.3 (119.9kg)
CW 16st 5.3 (104kg)
GW 14st (89kg)

I had set my interim target as 35lbs (2.5st) by my holiday - which is tomorrow. I've only gone and got it this morning ☺️🎯🎉 absolutely buzzing. Felt really nice to try on holiday clothes from the 'too small case' yest and for them to fit.

Must keep the momentum going ☺️

8 weeks on 5mg and I am definitely more hungry and craving takeaways. Not as bad as pre MJ but if I could afford it I’d move up to 7.5mg. I’m using 7.5mg pens but worked out I have enough until the end of November at 5mg and probably can’t afford it after that so was hoping to stay on 5mg. Will see over the next couple of weeks. Does make me worried for when I come off again though…

after a gain this week it’s finally come off in one go, and I’m under 200lbs!

welll… I just caved and ordered a 10mg pen for £214. The thought of coming off and undoing all this money made me too worried. So that’ll get me to mid Feb if I can stay on 5mg, or at least Christmas if not

one more pound to make 2 stone! I am on 5mg and planning on staying on this for the foreseeable future. Still have about 2 stone at least to lose. Congrats everyone we all seem to be losing albeit some weeks are slow! I was watching a talk by a US doctor who says she recommends a multi vitamin and fish oil supplement to all her GLP-1 patients. Wondered what others take? I have been on a collagen supplement (nutrition geeks) since before MJ (I am 59) and the only extra I have taken is a biotin supplement (nutrition geeks) as I am terrified of hair loss! I also take vitamin D in the winter which again was pre MJ.

SecretIrnBruDrinker · 15/09/2025 09:04

I have enough 5mg to last until mid November. I'd like to be covered for Christmas but I have no idea whether to stay with 5mg or taper down to 2.5 with the view to coming off totally in the new year. I'm 2.5 stone down so far. 5mg is perfect for me though with no hunger at 1200-1400 cals, no real chatter, no side effects, and I'm losing 1-3lb per week. If it wasn't for these sodding price increases I would have happily stayed on for another 6 months and got down to ~10 st, my post DC1 aged 30 weight, and then maintained at 2.5mg for a bit to ensure my new eating habits were sustainable. Now I'm looking at 11.5 stone ish which was either post DC3 or 4!

Crinklecat · 15/09/2025 09:17

@SecretIrnBruDrinker it’s so tricky isn’t it. I’ve worked out it’ll cost me just over £20 a week taking 5mg from a 10mg pen, that makes it seem much more affordable as I was spending that easily on wine/ takeaways before. The reduced food and alcohol shop covers this cost easily.

I was planning to lose 5 stone (to 11 stone 12) and I’ve lost 2 stone 9 lbs so far. That would still make me overweight. The more I lose it makes me think maybe I should aim for 10 stone which makes me average weight. I can’t remember the last time I was that weight, and according to my scales I have nearly 8 stone of muscle at the moment?!

MissMogs · 15/09/2025 11:27

It’s taking a lot of willpower not to snack today. Yesterday too I was craving sugar (yet not much appetite even for a meal I love). I’ve just started my second 7.5mg pen but did extra clicks to make the dose up to 8.75 as a step up because my next pen is 10mg. Weight loss has stalled a bit.
Do you think I’d do better increasing the dose more next week, or jabbing sooner? I only jabbed on Saturday so shouldn’t be wearing off already!! Shotsy suggests levels v high.

on another note, my sharps bin is getting a bit full. How are we meant to dispose of them??

flameprincess · 15/09/2025 13:46

I do feel like I could do with going up to 7.5mg now too but I'm really trying to last on 5mg so I get the most of the pens I have left before I have to make the switch to WeGovy.

Sharps bins can be taken to a pharmacy for disposal I believe. Could the sugar cravings be from hormones?

Thank you. Unlikely I think as I have a Mirena coil and HRT. Don’t even get periods so assume hormones fairly stable?

That's a reasonable price for 10mg. Who is your provider?

I paid £250 for 7 5mg with a new provider, as the one's I was using didn't have it. I'm so on 5mg with my main provider.

Hey all,

Down to 2.5mg (only availability) & I've not really felt much difference to 3.75mg. Weigh in day & lost the 1lb I gained last week. But I really feel like I've hardly been eating (except for yesterday & today where I've had zero suppression & gavinv to use lots of willpower). It's so slow I'm not sure I'll continue if I don't start losing again.

3lbs overall in 6 weeks (yo-yoing). It's super frustrating, especially with most folk 2 stone or more.

Shall keep going with next 4 jabs of 2.5mg then review.

SW 13st 3
CW 11st 6
GW 10st 10

This is healthy BMI, but I was 8st 10 at my lightest!

Itsjunedeer · 15/09/2025 20:08

Hi, as always reading along and enjoying all your posts and observations. I haven’t posted for a couple of weeks. After my sickness issues following the first 3.75mg jab 3 weeks ago I have been very cautious with how much I take and when. I haven’t gone much above 2.5mg and in general I’m not getting the same level of suppression that I got in the early weeks. I’m also not really prepared or able to justify spending the best part of £200 a month/6 weeks for a fairly moderate weight loss. Maybe it’s time to see if I can continue to lose, implement self restraint and invest my money in a gym and swim membership. On a positive note I am now 2 stones down from my starting weight.
Well done everyone for keeping on keeping on. However you are managing things I hope you are feeling the benefits of your hard work 😊

Bloozie · 15/09/2025 20:11

Did my first golden dose today and it was really easy and now I’m annoyed I didn’t do it with my first 2 pens… ggggrrrr.

I’m still on 2.5 but thinking of going up to 3.75 next week. I know it’s 45 clicks and I’ll get 5 doses out of a 5 pen, but does anyone know what 3.75 is in ml if I want to golden dose again?

I spoke to my pharmacist about it and he was careful to say it’s off license but he sees no issue.

In terms of everything else, still losing weight well with no real side effects. Hunger and appetite is coming back though, hence thinking of going up. Don’t want to double my dose though without seeing if I can cruise for a bit on 3.75.

NSV - went to the theatre on Saturday and didn’t feel uncomfortable in either the train or theatre seat. Didn’t feel like I was sitting on my neighbour. A real win.

SomethingAboutYou · 15/09/2025 22:24

I love that NSV @Bloozie those are the little things that really give a boost!

HappyWineDay · 15/09/2025 22:44

@Bloozie 3.75mg from a 5mg pen is 3/4 of a dose. A dose is 0.6 ml, so that would be 0.45ml

@MissMogs you’ve only just tried your first 8.75mg. I’d personally give it at least a couple of weeks to see how you get on. Don’t be in a rush to increase. See how you settle in with that, how it affects what you eat, if you lose and if you get any side effects.

ChiaraMontague · 16/09/2025 14:58

Just under 90kg today (89.9 😝 ) for the first time in over a decade! I’m sure that I’m now in for a week of my weight bouncing up and down around the 90kg mark before consolidating the loss.

15kg to go to my initial goal weight. I’ve been losing at a slow and steady pace of 3.7kg a month so if this continues I’m going to be on MJ for at least 4 more months to get to target … and then maintenance … 💸

ChiaraMontague · 16/09/2025 15:01

I’m meeting my WLI-critical friend on Sunday. She doesn’t know I’m taking Mounjaro and I’m not planning to let her know but I’m weirdly nervous about seeing her.

waitingforlifeonmars · 16/09/2025 15:16

So annoyed, just picked up my pen from Asda Pharmacy- should
have been ready yesterday- wasn’t ready. Fridge in pharmacy not working. Were using fridge at back of shop. Assistant came back with none. Then someone appeared from back of pharmacy with handful. Wait another 10 mins whilst they put it all together. Thought nothing of it until I got home 15mins and realised the pen was not cold! Had I realised in the shop, I would have complained there, but have now had to submit message via website. Really annoyed!!

SunandMoor · 16/09/2025 16:32

@ChiaraMontague it never ceases to amaze me how critical people are of WLI. It’s like they don’t want people to be slim! If you were on blood pressure tablets no one would care but weight means everyone has an opinion!
