Back home from holiday today ! Was so excited to wear some smaller clothes and not suffer with the heat as much . Which I did !!!! Still a way to go and eating was very sparse and barely drunk alcohol too. Not sure if it’s the jab doing its thing or the fact on our first day away I found an egg sized lump in my breast . 🥹. Spent all week trying not to panic but definitely on my mind all the time . Home too late for the doctors so have to wait till Monday. Loving on protein shakes at the moment . Feel very bloated though . Don’t think I’m going to weigh.
is it Monday yet ?? 🙏🏻

FoxRedPuppy · 29/08/2025 18:54

@RussianDoll76 hope you can see a doctor soon for reassurance.

5mg is definitely wearing off. I’ve been quite hungry the last few days. What’s annoying is that I ordered my next 5mg early after the BIG PANIC. So have to do another 5mg. And concerned about prices as 7.5mg is so much more expensive than what I’ve been paying.

But I bought some new trousers and they are a size 14! I’m still shocked they fit.

DownhillAllTheWay · 30/08/2025 07:50

@RussianDoll76 i hope you can see your Dr on Monday. Horrid.

BadgerFace · 30/08/2025 08:31

@RussianDoll76 If you can’t see your GP on Monday then you can self refer to most breast clinics so look at your local hospital’s website. If you have private healthcare then you can also refer through there - I went through something similar in February and didn’t realise about using my private healthcare until I’d been through the NHS pathway and got as far as being referred for surgery.

80%+ lumps are benign or cysts and so nothing to worry. Although it is obviously very stressful in the not knowing period. The NHS pathway is max two weeks from referral to an appointment in the breast clinic. If you have any questions about the process then please feel free to PM me in case my experience can help in any way. My initial biopsy was undetermined hence the surgery but my lump was found to be benign post-surgery.

Hit my 10kg loss whilst away this last week. managed to eat fairly ok, and keep hydrated. But definitely didn’t move as much as I’d have liked.

Pretty sure my GD last Friday was huge compared to my normal 5mg 😂🤦🏽‍♀️ but I know I can do it now will just need to check the syringe I use more closely!

FoxRedPuppy · 30/08/2025 09:57

I also met an old colleague for lunch yesterday and he noticed I’d lost weight (first person to say anything). And I didn’t tell him about jabs, he said something like “ through exercising more” and I muttered about high protein, doing weights. Feel a bit guilty, but also it’s none of his business.

Lovelesslily · 30/08/2025 10:37

Just checking in, not posted for quite a while.

Started 6th June -
SW: 17 stone 1lb
CW: 14 stone 10lb
Initial Goal: 13.7 (no longer obese)

Ultimate goal - unsure! I'm partially losing weight to qualify for IVF so due to my age won't be able to stay on to BMI 25 as would take too long with time ticking but would like to get to 12.7 I think before coming off to give me that buffer under the zone (must remain under 30BMI for IVF).

Very happy with this (did worry it might be a bit too fast but I lost quickly in month one and it has settled now to pretty much 1.5-2lb a week which I'm happy with).

I am still on 5mg and happy to stay there for now. Have a new 5mg pen in fridge and also an order somewhere in the ether from Oushk (my regular pharmacy) for 7.5mg - ordered on 15th August, approved on Friday but as far as I can see not actually dispatched 🤷‍♀️ I'm hoping it will come next week when they get stock - at the price I paid on the 15th!

Following on from my post on Thursday, I've spent the last two days in bed feeling really bad. So thinking it could possibly be a bug that's made me so ill.

SomethingAboutYou · 31/08/2025 08:12

Hope you're feeling a bit better today @Librariesrule

Sogfree · 31/08/2025 09:01

I've not told my boyfriend of 8 months that I'm on MJ. He's not noticed my weight loss really, as it's gradual.

WLI were mentioned yesterday in conversation. He said "well those injections are just cheating, aren't they?"

I responded with something like "if it helps people become healthier long term, then surely that's a good thing"

Then moved the conversation on.

Where do I go with this?!

Itsjunedeer · 31/08/2025 09:04

@Librariesrule I hope you are beginning to feel a little better? There are lots of germs around so depending on your symptoms it may well be something other than MJ. Plenty of rest and delay the next jab ?
@RussianDoll76 i hope you get to see someone promptly tomorrow. A state of uncertainty is very draining. Keeping you in my thoughts.

After my sickness etc last weekend I didn’t jab. Felt the MJ effect leaving my system day by day but by Thursday felt I should do a bit of a top up. Started mindlessly clicking and then realised I only wanted to do about a quarter dose from my 5mg pen. I don’t think I had even reached that but I injected anyway. It must have been a tiny amount because it has had no impact that I can feel. Planning on doing a half dose today or tomorrow and concentrating as I click !

Had a big try on of lots of my clothes yesterday. Nice to see and feel items fitting better but not yet down a size. I’m now at the lower end of where I have been for the last 5 years so hopefully the next stone will show up a bit more obviously. 🤞🏼

well done to everyone keeping going. Some great tips and support on here.

SW 17.3
CW 15.7 ( -1 from last week)
GW 13

Much better today thanks. Not quite right but definitely better

Librariesrule · 31/08/2025 09:30

@Itsjunedeer that's my plan, delay next jab and drop back to 2.5mg. I definitely think it's been more than than just mj side effects.

FoxRedPuppy · 31/08/2025 12:54

Glad you are feeling better.

I’m more and more thinking about switching to wegovy. I have about 10kg to go. I think I probably could just about afford the new MJ prices, but with significant cut backs. And worries as we get towards Christmas and all the expenses that comes with that.

I’ve got 2 more doses in current one and then one more pen, so I’ve got time to decide.

flameprincess · 31/08/2025 15:43

Had bottomless brunch with friends planned for Saturday and has been planned for months so I didnt jab on Thursday as normal (I just can't drink on Mounjaro without feeling ill). The food noise didnt come back immediately but the combo of booze and being a few days late on my jab did mean I overindulged this weekend. Will weight myself tomorrow and see what the damage is.

Actually felt relieved to take my jab this morning and be 'back on the wagon'. Have had no ill effects as yet from taking it late.

finalpunt · 31/08/2025 15:44

Online simple pharmacy are pushing wegovy but have also said they are holding prices for MJ the first two weeks in September to give people time to make a decision.
I'm really fortunate that I have only 3.5lbs to target now and one unopened 5mg pen.
I was going to switch, but as I am so close, I am going to use my 5mg pen to see if I can start reducing dose from next week and maintain.
I am nervous about piling it on again but also don't think I can stay on it forever, if not managing on lower dose and tapering off, I think I can go back to them within 3 months but would have the wegovy.

FoxRedPuppy · 31/08/2025 15:47

I’m quite close, but wanted to slowly titrate down and maintain on a low dose for a while to ensure that I can keep it off.

MissMogs · 31/08/2025 17:16

I’m in awe of so many people close to target after <3 months of MJ! Alas I still have 30kg+ to shed if I can manage it, so I’m here for the long-haul! I did stock up on pens from different pharmacies because I wouldn’t be able to afford it otherwise and it’s working well for me so for the first time ever the loss feels possible. It’s all on credit card so I’ll have to do a balance transfer and pay it off over time.
”end of summer” was my interim checkpoint and I made it to 2 stone off which I’m pleased about. Next stop Christmas! I’d love another 2 off by then.
New school year feels like New Year to me!

SunandMoor · 31/08/2025 19:39

@MissMogs i’m here for a good few months too!!

SomethingAboutYou · 31/08/2025 19:56

SunandMoor · 31/08/2025 19:39

@MissMogs i’m here for a good few months too!!

Me too!

MissMogs · 31/08/2025 20:40

We’ve got this!!

BadgerFace · 01/09/2025 07:03

I am hoping to be done after the next two pens but will still be here for the chat and support! Although I may try and do a third pen for maintenance micro dosing to get me through the Christmas period…

FoxRedPuppy · 01/09/2025 07:19

I’ve worked out I have 8kg to lose to goal, so at 0.5 kg a week that is 16 weeks. But it might be slower than that. So actually a few months yet.

Might have been optimistic saying a month or so!

Happylittleday · 01/09/2025 09:33

Not many places I can shout this but IM OVERWEIGHT no longer obese just tipped in to over weight whoooo

Tinybirdie · 01/09/2025 09:43

Well done @Focusispower think of all those risk factors youre obliterating.

I will still be here for a good while. Another 2 stone to lose. I might stop before then if I start to look crinkly.

Feeling horrible today. Think it might be a urine or kidney infection so waiting on antibiotics and resting in bed.
