Well done @Happylittleday A great achievement 🎉

I’ve decided to make an effort to wear my nice clothes while they still fit!

This is inspired by finally deciding to try on a pair of Acai walking trousers that I had put away as the waistband was too snug. They are now too big (ridiculously loose on the waist and around the upper thighs) so I didn’t get to wear them at all! They’ve still got the tags on so I will pop them up on Vinted, at least I bought them in the sale and not full price.

Today I’m wearing a red and white polka dot vintage style dress from Ghost, I bought it for a wedding earlier this year and while it still fits it looks A LOT better than it did in the spring!

I think I’ll be able to keep wearing it for the next couple of months before it is too big, so I need to try to get my money’s worth!

I’m in awe of so many people close to target after <3 months of MJ! Alas I still have 30kg+ to shed if I can manage it, so I’m here for the long-haul! I did stock up on pens from different pharmacies because I wouldn’t be able to afford it otherwise and it’s working well for me so for the first time ever the loss feels possible. It’s all on credit card so I’ll have to do a balance transfer and pay it off over time.
”end of summer” was my interim checkpoint and I made it to 2 stone off which I’m pleased about. Next stop Christmas! I’d love another 2 off by then.
New school year feels like New Year to me!

I was an end-of-June starter, so I hover in both the June and July threads, but I'm going to be here for about a year, I reckon.

Dellabella83 · 01/09/2025 11:35

Hey everyone, sorry been lurking over the summer, busy busy with the little lady. After a rough start on 5mg I’m on my third pen and no side effects and weight coming off consistently. Eating habits def lapsed with holidays etc but increased activity seems to have kept me going in right direction.
i was freaked out by price increases but my provider has increased 5mg by 25 pounds and even before the announcement I had no plans to increase my dose so luckily can afford to keep going.

I am so chuffed with how it’s going. Like many of you I will be here for the long haul, would at least like to see the 13s (it’s sometimes hard seeing that some people’s start weight is actually near my end point!)

hope you are all doing well xx

Hi all, I've been lurking. In a bit of a grumpy about all the price change drama, couldn't decide what to do but I cant swallow an £80 pm increase, so I'm switching to Wegovy. Ive ordered my.first Weg9vy oen, but still jave 7 weeks of MJ to go. I hope it's OK if I stay in this chat.
Just spent 2 weeks camping with my Boyf, eating lovely food and not drinking enough water. Amazed to have had a loss, so I'm chuffed. Just a few lbs til I'm in the next St bracket 🤞🏼🤞🏼🤞🏼

Bloozie · 01/09/2025 14:02

Some NSVs to report...

My bath sheet now wraps around me without gaps - this is exciting new news. I wouldn't feel confident tucking the top in and just walking around - no one get giddy - but I can at least conceal all of me when I walk from the bathroom to the bedroom.

I bought a pair of size 18 jeans to slim into it as a bit of a target, and they fit. This prompted me to try on all my old size 18 clothes - hello old friends!

I've ordered a size 16 Christmassy dress as a target instead.

I don't weigh myself, so don't know what any of this means in terms of kg, but the weight is still steadily falling off. I am noticing it most in my stomach and bum at the moment, which isn't unwelcome. My thighs and calves aren't joining in as much.

All of my fat feels very very jelly-like and wobbly. When I've lost weight before, I've felt harder as I move down sizes. I can't decide if it's because my skin texture has changed, or because the drug is doing something to the way I store fat. I'm going to try upping my water to see if I can flush any of it out.

HappyWineDay · 01/09/2025 14:26

@CreepingCrone and @Dellabella83 congratulations on your progress so far and it's good to hear from you contributing to the chat!
@Bloozie congrats to you too on the progress. About the scales, I certainly didn't want to get on them to start with but having bitten my lip and gone for it, I do find they really help to monitor progress, especially as you move further towards your goal and the losses tend to slow down. Just something to consider.

I'll be here with you for some time, taking it slow. Started on 18st now 16st 8lbs. Also sticking with 5mg and hoping to hit 13st something eventually. I've slowed a bit over the summer, been away most of August, so need to get back on the tracking and high protein now as that's been trickier over last month.

healthjourney · 01/09/2025 15:59

I have a lovely NSV to share today, my wedding rings fit again 😊 i stopped wearing them during the first lock down and then gained enough weight that they were too tight. After 5 years without it will take a bit of getting used to but I'm really happy to have the choice again.

Im a bit annoyed that my wedding dress doesn't fit though, I now weigh just below what I did when I got married but I tried it at the weekend and still have an inch to go at the waist. I guess ive had a bit of body shape change in the 16 years since I wore it. Never mind, I was running out of mini goals so at least I have that one to look forward to in a few weeks. I'll be wearing it round the house just because I can! 😆

RatherTardy · 01/09/2025 16:40

Good afternoon everyone.

Like many of you, I shall be around for a while. I've got enough pens to take me until Christmas, then I'll review.
CheqUp have advised they're not putting up their prices for 2.5 or 5 pens, if that's of any use to anyone?

It's lovely to read all your NSVs and SVs.

My weightloss has been miniscule because.... summer.
But I'm back at work today, so back "on it".

I am so chuffed with how it’s going. Like many of you I will be here for the long haul, would at least like to see the 13s (it’s sometimes hard seeing that some people’s start weight is actually near my end point!)
Don't forget, @Dellabella83 that we're all different heights n shapes

FoxRedPuppy · 01/09/2025 16:48

I should have ordered 7.5 as my next pen as I've been really hungry today. Hopefully I can manage on willpower. I suppose I will need to get used ot it for when I come off.

This is my thinking. I've got 2 x 5mg pens to finish and then I presume I'll do a 2.5 and then that'll be it. I'd like to lose another 2-3 stone but that'll have to be via non-existent willpower.

Had an NHS health check today triggered by my age and 15st 9lb surgery weigh in at the end of May. The nurse almost did a dance at me now being 13st 3lb, she was so excited 😊 Real life pat on the back time.

Wishiwasgardening · 01/09/2025 19:00

Just checking in as I've just got back from a camping trip with my DD. Lovely to hear about everyone's successes.

Like many of you I'll be around for a lot longer yet - 11.4kg down and another 24.6 to go. I'm happy to be almost a third of the way to goal, but the losses are slowing down a lot now and I know they'll slow even more as I get closer to goal.

Despite losing a good chunk and feeling a lot better I still haven't dropped a dress size. My clothes are mostly looking baggy, but the size down is still a bit tight to wear. Can't wait to be able to fit into my old wardrobe! Annoyingly my bras are getting a bit too lose and I didn't keep my old ones, so will need to go shopping soon.

Focusispower · 01/09/2025 22:28

@RussianDoll76 hope you’re doing ok and get seen soon.

So many NSVs! Well done folks! I am at the point where I have no trousers that fit really. Need to buy a small capsule wardrobe for autumn. Some work clothes are fine, they still fit but jeans and trousers are almost at the ridiculous stage.

I have been feeling pretty knackered and rough - busy times plus a miscarriage has knocked it out of me somewhat, physically and emotionally. Have had a constant feeling of indigestion this last 24 hours. Back to school and work here tomorrow and straight into birthday season for DH and DS and madness at work. Tired just thinking about it!

I think I’m on my last pen. Will order one final back up pen for the fridge should I start to slip but otherwise hoping to maintain under my own steam. It will be strange to see if any enthusiasm for food reappears. 10 weeks and lost 9.5kg - happy with that given the circumstances.

This medication is weird. I took my 4th jab of 7.5mg yesterday. For jabs 1-3 for the first time I felt high suppression (could barely eat dinner on days 1-2!) and bearable but noticeable nausea. Thought I’d probably found my limit! Then after jab 4 yesterday, no nausea and the food noise is back! Why?!! I have another 7.5mg pen waiting in the fridge - though will use bonus dose first - and now wondering if I should have gone straight to 10!

I took my first 7.5mg last week …fine .No problems eating as normal..normal size meals , not big ones
I took my second this Saturday and ate that night ..i felt very full.
Sunday …my god, i felt as though i had eaten 10 Large Xmas dinners , over full all day .
I made myself eat a small apple and later a very small salad.
Same yesterday .
Still not hungry today .
Think i may drop down to 5mg or 6 mg this Saturday .
First time i have felt like this .

farfallarocks · 02/09/2025 16:29

I could barely eat a thing on 7.5 so have also dropped down this week.
I am also freezing and tired!
Having said that in 11 weeks i’ve lost 15kgs, only 2 kgs to go for goal!!
So nervous about maintenance though and hope I can titate slowly.
DH is so into me slimmer and i’ve noticed people are generally just nicer to me slimmer. They smile when I cross the road or get the train. Truly bizarre and makes me feel rather sad in a way.
I feel so much better in so many ways on this drug, mentally, digestively I’m so scRed
of stopping

I would love the freezing cold side effect 🤣. I am the opposite, always hot .
I am nearly 2 stones down now ( another 3 lb to go )
I still want to lose another two stone or thereabouts .
Started at 13 stone , almost 11 now .
This is the start of my 11 th week .

I am going to maintain for a good while when i get to my goal as its helped in other health issues too .
Will be dropping the does down then and hope to stay at 2.5 for a long time

Catladyof7 · 02/09/2025 16:34

What did you drop down to ?
Not sure if to go back to 5mg or 6 mg

farfallarocks · 02/09/2025 17:08

I did 15 less clicks so i think that’s 6 ish

Thank you . I was debating on 5 or 6 mg .
I am still not hungry so i need to come down .
Cant live on fresh air and water

Tinybirdie · 02/09/2025 22:08

Ive had the worst constipation. 9 days!!! Ive taken bisacodyl last night and now have diarrhoea. Feeling pretty miserable if i am honest 😕

FoxRedPuppy · 03/09/2025 07:22

That sounds awful @Tinybirdie I’ve lived with chronic diarrhoea for over 10 years due to medication and it is awful. I was a bit better at the beginning of MJ, but now I’m really backed up!

Hope it passes soon.

SomethingAboutYou · 03/09/2025 08:24

Oh goodness, 9 days?! Hope you're feeling better soon @Tinybirdie

Kids are finally back in school today, I'm hoping for a bit of stability and routine to kickstart the Autumn section of this journey. This time last year (without MJ) I stalled completely and hovered up and down between 15st 4 and 15st 1 for 3 months. This Autumn I'm starting at 14st 7 so already ahead of last year, hoping to see 13st by December 🤞
