Thank you everyone for the congrats.

I can’t believe it. I’ve lost 5lb this week! 😮😮😮

I was so miffed when I didn’t lose last week (and just a pound the week before so this isn’t as fast as it seems) but it just goes to show if you stick with it you will see the results. Perhaps it was the heat or travel as some of you suggested, making me retain water. Anyway this is a very welcome whoosh!

Especially as…drumroll please…I am ON THE CHART. My BMI is now (just!) under 40. It was 58 at my heaviest. Absolutely delighted.

eibbed999 · 22/08/2025 08:38

Love that description @TheBeesTrees - both invisible and indispensable.

MummyInTheNecropolis · 21/08/2025 18:04

@eibbed999 That’s exactly it, I have one ‘bad’ day and worry that I’m sabotaging the whole thing and am about to pile the whole lot back on again. I sorted a load of clothes for the charity shop today that are all too big for me and ended up keeping a bag in the back of the wardrobe, just in case I do put the weight back on. I wish I could stop thinking like that and just be more positive!

So much easier said than done isn't it, @MummyInTheNecropolis? This ain't our first rodeo, as they say in the movies! But we have to try and believe this time is different.

SaltAirAndTheRust · 22/08/2025 09:25

Hi everyone, hope it’s okay to jump in so late into these threads.

I started Mounjaro last year. I’ve lost 7 stone and a half (ish) in the last year. I’m hoping to lose at least 3 and a half more, to take me into an overweight BMI. I think I’d be happy with that.

I got down to 15 stone 7.4 earlier this week, but weighed this morning and I’m back up to 15 stone 13. This is a massive trend I’ve found at the moment for me. I’ll go down to a new low, and then a couple of days it’s up much higher.

I’m off on holiday next weekend so for the next week I’m just going to focus on nutrition, sleep, hydration and exercise. I’m not going to weigh until the day before I go away I don’t think.

Feeling a bit deflated and with the news of the price increases I’m wondering if it’s worth me staying on, but I also know I’d have never come this far if it wasn’t for the medication. So I’m just going to keep plodding on.

TheBroonOneAndTheWhiteOne · 22/08/2025 09:35

KLAXON

🎉I've done it! I've lost 8 stone!🎉

I'm down to 12st 2lb today. I started off at 20st 2lb way back in January 2024. It's therefore been nearly 19 months of slog, but it's been worth it.

And I'm still in the OBESE bit of that stupid BMI scale but only just

MummyInTheNecropolis · 22/08/2025 09:39

Well done @TheBroonOneAndTheWhiteOnefantastic! 🙌

After all my negativity this week, feeling my weight loss was slowing down and having a bad day of eating, I’ve weighed in this morning and actually lost 4lbs this week, bringing my total to 9st 5lbs lost! Can’t quite believe it. Need to give my head a wobble and just trust the process!

Billybingbong · 22/08/2025 09:49

Morning losers. Week 20 WI, and 3lb off, 3st 13lb loss so far. Im in touching distance of 4st, fingers crossed for next week, just in time for my holiday 🤞.

SW 22st 8lb
CW 18st 9lb
GW 11st 4lb

So, now we're a week on from the horrible price hike news, how's everyone feeling? Have we all managed to work out a way forward? I'm sorted with pens now for the next few months, but it means I wont be ordering any more for a while, which is making me feel strangely unsettled. It feels like im going it alone, and losing the back up of my provider. I can't figure out why, as I've never needed their support, but even so, its been good having that accountability. Its probably a throw back from all the other times ive tried to go it alone, and failed miserably. I know this time it's so different, but still daunting all the same. I hope that makes sense.

SilenceInside · 22/08/2025 09:58

Week 59 weigh in.

SW: 139kg (21st 12 lbs)
CW: 78kg (12st 3lbs), was 79.1kg (12st 6lbs)
GW: 73kg (11st 7lbs) sixth interim goal

Current pen: 10mg, 14 weeks on this dose.

I'm another that should remember to keep calm and carry on after one bad day, as it turns out I've lost 1.1kg or 2.5 pounds this week. Congratulations to everyone weighing today, such brilliant milestones happening.

I am calmer about the price rises. I have an order with Asda, which should be reviewed soon, and if that gets accepted then I will be sorted for several more weeks and will then see if I can order with Swift before the 1st Sept. If not, then I will suck up the price hike and then see where I am at Christmas.

@SaltAirAndTheRust hello and welcome, sounds like you've done amazingly so far. Scale fluctuations are so frustrating, hopefully you will see things settle down and stabilise.

Billybingbong · 22/08/2025 09:59

@TheBroonOneAndTheWhiteOne yippee, HUGE congrats. 8st, absolutely amazing 👏 🤩
@MummyInTheNecropolis and you too, 9st+, bloody brilliant

You two are where we all dream to be, it must feel fantastic

Thank you! Congratulations to you!

I think I’m going to just take a month from worrying about it. I’m off on holiday soon and my goal is to just be sensible - I’m going to have some treats but I’m aiming to just be sensible about it. And then after that I’m going to settle onto 15mg and focus on wellbeing and eating whole foods. If I keep at the deficit, I’ll be fine

EverybodysALebowski · 22/08/2025 10:16

Wow so many great results for people this morning! Congrats all around. And for those who are stuck, hang in there

Pearl totally agree about the psyllium, I can barely take the huge honking capsules and I know lots of people can't. At this point I'm getting enough fibre through diet that I could probably stop them. And it's probably better to get the fibre through diet anyway. Enjoy the land of raspberries, kiwis, and bran (I even started throwing kiwi into my salads I'm so attuned to fibre now).

re: side effects: The only side effects I had was the one bad weekend of constipation, diarrhea, and burps when I tried to go up too quickly. Then it got sorted. Otherwise, no side effects, everything's been great.

PearlsPearl · 22/08/2025 10:25

Amazing results today! 4 stone, 8 stone, 9 stone! You all should be buzzing. Some of you have lost a whole person 🤩

@SaltAirAndTheRust welcome, well done on your loss so far! Enjoy your holiday.

I am feeling calmer after the price increases now. Had my cry, had my wobble, gave my head a shake. With my pens I’m sorted til Christmas I think and I’ll deal with the fallout then about the gaps in ordering. Head in sand!

Elle771 · 22/08/2025 10:30

Fab losses everyone!!! My silly app won't let me tag people properly but its so so good hearing all these losses especially as lots of you had similar starting weight to me in the 20stones ❤️❤️❤️

Gives me hope... "trust the process!"

A week on from price hike news and ive calmed down a bit 😬 have worked out i can hopefully continue on 5 or 7.5mg if I get all the golden doses and a little creative with clicks.. ive also this week been doing 2 meals a day which I feel good on (rather than forcing in 3) so this will save me money 😅🙈

Fffreeeeezing · 22/08/2025 11:21

Week 23 and a 4lb loss for me today bringing my total loss to 4st 11lbs/30.4kg/a one year old black bear apparently!

Only 3 weeks until my 6 month anniversary so fingers crossed I should be well over a 5 stone loss by then which is not bad and hopefully will hit 7st off by Christmas 🤞

NSV's this week: my walking pace has significantly come down and according to my PT my core strength has massively improved.

I have sent 2 huge bags of clothes off to the charity shop, I have decided to not keep clothes I don't like (as well as the ones than no longer fit obvs) which sounds odd but I've had enough of wearing stuff I don't like but do because it fits. I have a lot more to sort through!

Well done everyone on today's great results and welcome to the new people, from a person who has only experienced 1 side effect and that was mild constipation and that seems to be under control.

Onwards and downwards!

TragicMuse · 22/08/2025 11:41

Well done on fantastic losses! You are all amazing and wonderful!

A week on from the news I haven’t really done much with it. I was going to stock up but then couldn’t. So have 2 doses in my current snd one more pen before reordering. I’m v disappointed in Medino who have been entirely silent on the matter. But as I think I mentioned before, finding a provider who will prescribe alongside by thyroxine is challenging, some just won’t, even though there aren’t contra-indications and my diabetes nurse and GP are both happy with me taking MJ.

I’ll try to get some more lower-priced pens but I’ve probably left it a bit late, so many are out of stock according to monj.co.uk.

I will be able to afford it more easily next year. The interim is a bit of a problem though.

ah well.

Aside from that, I hit 4 stone off on Wednesday this week, instantly went back up yesterday. FFS!

I know I should try weekly weighing but I just…can’t!

Sunday is usually my best day. Until I say Sunday is WI. Then it’s not. Of course. Bloody bodies!

TheBroonOneAndTheWhiteOne · 22/08/2025 11:55

@TragicMuse I'm actually furious with Medino.
They've sent me another snippy email, and won't budge on reinstating my discount code.

Anyway, fuck them. They told me that they had no time to send a message to their customers. Unbelievable.

They must've been too busy putting their increased prices on the website.

TheBroonOneAndTheWhiteOne · 22/08/2025 12:22

I've just been looking in my diary, and I can see that it's taken me exactly 3 months to lose the last stone.

14 weeks. So that's 1lb a week.

Okay it's slow but it's happening.

Everybody, trust the process!

This is exactly where I’m at! I wish I could explain my random yoyo that’s happened this week, but it’s slowed down considerably.

Really love this. The time would have passed anyway had you not been on mj and trying hard. Well done you. You must be thrilled.

TheBeesTrees · 22/08/2025 12:33

Huge congratulations to all the losses this week!!

I have pens to do me until December, although I'm considering eeking them out a bit. Where can I find info on counting clicks? I have one dose left in each the 2.5 and 5mg pen. It's my week to go up to 7.5, but I'm nervous of the side effects so was thinking of trying 6mg (one dose of 5mg then 1mg from the 2.5 pen)

It’s disgraceful, really. In terms of clinical
care, customer care, all of it.

I’m going to try to shop around but I’m not planning to stick with them- if they can’t be bothered to communicate then I can’t be bothered to give them my money.

Billybingbong · 22/08/2025 12:50

Ive just been having a nosey on Trustpilot, and some of the replies Medino have given to their bad reviews are shocking, no accountability whatsoever.

This whole debacle has shown how little most of these companies actually care about their customers, I don't think any of them have particularly covered themselves in glory, we don't owe any of them our loyalty. Once I've used up my stash, I'll definitely be regularly switching based on the best prices

Billybingbong · 22/08/2025 12:58

@TheBeesTrees Here you go, this is quite a useful click chart

@WafflingDreamer why not try fasting but with breakfast if that's your meal?
For example eat breakfast 8am and dinner 8pm,nothing in the middle.
Or breakfast 8am and lunch 1pm and then nothing?

Try and see what works for you if it's something you're interested in.

mamabeeboo · 22/08/2025 13:42

@Reginaphalangeeeee @Iwouldratherbesinging

With you on the BL documentary on Netflix. The PT said that he had never worked with obese people before so why he was chosen is beyond me, other than having the TV look. It showed how much people want to ridicule and shame fat people. We have to suffer to lose weight, shouted at, be denied food we like, laughed at, "no pain no gain" etc. I think these are the big reasons why people are so against jabs - being able to actually FINALLY lose weight with all the bs associated making it easy, is why people think it's 'cheating' because they want us to suffer. There was a thread about this on MN, and someone said their husband loved to tune in to watch it just because he could think "eewww, look at them they can't even walk for 5 mins!" and feel superior.

There's a guy on instagram who is 450lbs and is now slowly losing weight the traditional way - he has SO MANY FOLLOWERS whilst he posts about struggling with his motivation, meal prepping etc. But anyone losing weight on MJ no one cares about. They want the struggle.
