Ah right
Got you .
Well it's done now
I just need shop around before October to find a price I can afford,

Before September.
That's when most of them are going up.
I'd try to get a deal now, not leave it till the prices have gone up.

How do you mean
Do you mean lock in to a permanent price

Autumnflowers2 · 16/08/2025 15:08

I'm meaning that my current provider is very expensive and going to double in price ,so I need to find a new provider going forward, for every month ,I don't want to chop and change each month
Soi was waiting for providers to release their new prices before I look to swap

Autumnflowers2 · 16/08/2025 15:09

I don't need another pen untill October,

TragicMuse · 16/08/2025 15:09

I’m thinking about stocking up.

if I bang it on the credit card I can cope with paying it off later.

Chemist4u are also doing bundles of 3 so I could get that and with the unused one I have in the fridge that would get me through to January…only problem is they’re stepped so not all same dose and 7.5 is good at the moment for me. But maybe it won’t be by then! GAH!

I'm suggesting that you get one in advance, before the prices go massively up.

They're only doing bundles of two now.
But still very much worth a look.

No, it won't lock you into a permanent price.

It will save you a good deal of money though, if you get a bundle at today's prices.

I've got enough pens till Christmas now.

My mum came round today for lunch and we had a good chat. She is absolutely determined to keep paying for my Mounjaro 😭 She won’t take no for an answer, says I am not to worry and that she can afford it. I am at once very relieved and grateful but also feel terribly guilty. I know she has a decent income but wah!! I’m very lucky.

My provider hasn’t put prices up yet so I’ve ordered another pen but it says there will be a delay.

Thank you to those who reassured me, and to everyone on this thread.

Your mum sounds lovely @afaloren

MummyInTheNecropolis · 16/08/2025 15:55

I’ve only 2 doses left in my current pen and can’t afford another until payday at the end of the month. Can’t afford to stock up either. I’m hoping supply issues might settle down in the next couple of weeks, not sure what I’ll do after that but I will have to find a way to keep buying it, I really don’t want to have to give up when I’ve come so far.

Thank you, she is. Lifelong single mum and always, always in my corner even when I haven’t made it easy. She’s the best.

Quick question, not price increase related.

Is anyone else only losing weight from one area of their body?

I've lost just over 3st so far and it's all come off of my top half. Mostly stomach but also boobs a little bit. I've gone down two clothes sizes. My bottom half I'm still the same size. I've lost 2 inches on my hips but I'm a classic pear shape so that's where I've always carried the most weight.

It's frustrating because my tops are starting to hang on me but I can't size down because otherwise I can't get them over my hips.

Just wondering when my other half will join the weight loss party.

Yes! I liken it to scrolling down a picture on dial-up internet (aging myself there).

Now I’ve lost eight stone it’s finally starting to show on my stomach but my bum and thighs are as big as ever.

I they're stepped doses but you're still happy on 7.5 then, could you micro-dose, e.g. fewer clicks from one of the higher dose pens? You'd likely get (at least) an extra shot out of those higher pens, too.

I didn't have a scale victory this week as it said I was 700g heavier than yesterday, which I'm ignoring!

But I did discover that you can redirect a royal mail delivery to drop and collect location, and mine is the shop round the corner. So my Zava order today went there rather than sitting warming up at the sorting office. Who knew that was a thing? I didn't, I've sat in and waited for delivery for the last year 🙈

I did have a NSV today, my friend said my knees looked lovely 😂😂 I'd never have gone out in public in shorts before. Photo attached!

Mounjaro 10st or more to lose - Thread 6
newtothegreen · 16/08/2025 18:08

Hi all, I am new here and new to mounjaro (took my second injection last night) and am so inspired by all of the scale and non scale victories that everyone has posted about! What an amazing thread.
I started at 147kg and weighed at 145.1kg this morning, which I think is a great start! I’m very much in the settling in phase, getting used to how I feel about having reached the decision to take the drug and getting used to how I feel on it (which I’m lucky to say has gone well).
Well done everyone, you’re all amazing!

TheBroonOneAndTheWhiteOne · 16/08/2025 18:28

Hello @newtothegreen and welcome.

You've got off to a good start.

Yes, I was very bottom heavy for a while, size small on top and still 18-20 on bottom. It's evened up more now with a small top and medium bottom. Once my thighs give it up I should be small on both Half's. Feet gone from 5 to 3,5 too

I'm definitely still bigger on the bottom half of me.
I'm hoping my legs will get back to normal once I've lost the last couple of stone.

SilenceInside · 16/08/2025 21:18

My stomach has definitely hung on to the weight more than it used to in the past when I've lost weight before. I blame age and pregnancies for it, I think.

I had a NSV on Friday, when I had a chance to wander round the shops on my own for an hour or so which I don't often get the chance to. I went into every clothes shop and looked at everything. It doesn't sound like much, but I have avoided real life clothes shopping for so long as it was so fraught with negativity and stress. Yesterday it was delightful. Every item that I was interested in was available in my current size which was such a surreal experience. I could look at things and choose any of them, if I wanted, rather than looking for the things available in my old size and choosing what I hated the least and would actually fit me. In most shops they would have had nothing at all. Of course, I bought nothing! Now I'm accustomed to Vinted, paying full price for new things seems so expensive.

I had a related NSV today, which was wearing a size 14 top which I got from Vinted for £4, from Fatface originally, and a really flattering shape for me. I cannot fathom that size 14 things currently fit me.

GnomeDePlume · 16/08/2025 21:59

See, I'm the other way up. I have lost weight around my legs, I can even see the shadows of muscles. But round my middle it's all still there.

I have still got thick ankles though.

ladyinwaiting99 · 16/08/2025 22:34

@SilenceInsidethat shopping trip must have felt amazing!!

TheBeesTrees · 16/08/2025 22:36

Thank you @Pearlspearl and @Doggymummar Ive seen people slowly increasing their dose by splitting it in 2 over the week. I've had decent suppression today so far so I'll see how it goes
