Happy 1st birthday to us all - somewhere in this month we gathered our courage and started what would be a memorable journey for us all - made some hopefully forever friends

Gather round my little auggies 😍 and we are all doing amazingly so be proud of yourselves

the amount of weight per person lost varies from 1-2stone - 3-4 - 5-6 - 7+

in a year or for some 11-11.5mths - I was middle of August - we have totally changed our body shape - reduced our bmi and weight and hopefully improved our health

some are at goal - and working out how to maintain

some nearing it

some still have weight they want to lose

Some have stopped for cost / various reasons and blowing baby dust your way to those who are ttc

but ALL of us have lost weight and I love the fact we are all so supportive to each other over weight and our general day to day lives

maybe if brave - post your before and after pics to see how far we have come in a year

Addictedtobeauty · 30/08/2025 18:25

@PoemsForTea just saw you are using a syringe.
In total you need 0.72ml. So a full dose of 0.6ml plus an extra 0.12ml will give a total dose of 15mg from a 12.5mg pen.

PoemsForTea · 30/08/2025 18:28

Thanks Superstars - sorted! ❤️

@Addictedtobeauty could you explain the maths to me please? I'm currently dosing 6 or 6.25 from a 7.5mg pen and get panicky every time I use a syringe to get that last bit that I've calculated wrong and I ended up chucking the pen this time as I thought i had it wrong. I really dont want to do that with the new prices! If I was confident on how to do the maths that would be amazing!

Saw this about a possible pill for weight loss

https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/articles/czerly4wwwyo

I'd rethink my plan for maintenance if I could take this as a daily pill. Not having to keep it in the fridge or faff about with disposing needles would be a game changer. I've loved the way my body seems to be able to regulate blood sugar better with MJ, and not feeling the urge to snack. But I don't want needles in the house all the time.

MabelSpan · 31/08/2025 10:57

Well, after jumping on the Juniper bandwagon, I have jumped back off again.
I asked for 5mg, they approved me for 7.5mg and wanted to charge me the new Sept prices, so I have told them they are a disgrace and to refund my £89 deposit.😠

Agree, that would potentially be a really good option for people on maintenance.

Azuresky68 · 31/08/2025 11:42

Happy Sunday everyone 😊 Off on holiday for the week in wet and windy Yorkshire! I will be away from the scales which is a good thing. I am also going to try and do a digital detox as I am nearly as bad as the younger generation 😅

Hoping to stay the same and for the first time in hundreds of years I am not 'trying to lose weight' but for I am also not trying to gain weight!

Needing to remember that fish and chips and pints of lager are not the way to go. Will probably indulge once 🤞

My other half is seriously cutting down on carbs as he has just gone over from pre-diabetic to diabetic so that has motivated him to change his eating habits, although he isn't seriously overweight and has never had a weight problem until he stopped being a daily runner and working long hours - he pretty much lived on Greggs but looked great 😅

So it's healthy eating for most of the time from now on..with a few treats 😀

Blondeshavemorefun · 31/08/2025 13:11

We’ve been busy chatting. Will do new thread soon

@Timetochange24. Same. A pill a day or even weekly be good

I see all these fake ads on Facebook saying take a pill and this is me weeks later. Crap !

oh no @MabelSpan. That’s annoying.

their discount is good. Well for me. But the scales are naff as have their name on them

they also make me 1.5lbs heavier than my scales

you also need to add the app and link them so they know what you weigh

im not doing that. Esp as cancelled them

they do look posh scales and open cost a bit.

would prefer more money off pen then a few pair of scales worth maybe £20/30

watxh this space for a pill @1clavdivs

happy holidays @Azuresky68. You have too many 😂

and sure you will be fine as I didn’t gain

healthy eating is the way to go

1.5lbs? I’d cry, straight in the bin 😆😆

morbidcuriosity · 31/08/2025 13:54

@MabelSpani didn't join the juniper wagon either.. have just started to maintain and on 10mg. They said I could have 5mg then 2.5 . I was like wtf? I want 10.. so told them to refund me, still waiting for my 114 back..

I think they are trying to find a maintenance plan for those who are 23 or under

ideally if I need 2.5/5 to keep my self level I will prefer to do that

OP posts:
FurForksSake · 31/08/2025 14:11

It’s interesting that oushk have different options for maintenance, I’m on 12.5 for maintenance and they are happy for me to stay there as long as I want. If my bmi goes below 19 they’ll cut me off, but I do wonder if that would be immediate so they’d expect me to go cd turkey. I don’t intend to go below 20/21 and my weight loss is so slow to almost be non existent now, but it’s an interesting thought that they don’t force tapering.

morbidcuriosity · 31/08/2025 14:23

Yeah your right, but I was being greedy just wanting another 10 pen. I should of got the 5 for later really, but oh well. I will be ordering a few more from oushk in a couple months to taper down, but quicker than I wanted too due to price. I will use one of my fridge pens to do lower more spaced out shots I think, but I'll worry about that next month .

PoemsForTea · 31/08/2025 14:26

The only way I'm getting well positioned boobies nowadays is sewing with them 😆
