Well my goodness. Thread 7. Warriors, we are 6 months in! How life has changed.

To all of you who have made it: many, many congratulations and good luck with the continued maintenance. To the rest of the team still climbing that mountain: we got this, let’s bloody go!!

SW 103.9kg / 16.4 stone
CW 73.4kg / 11.6 stone
TW 72.2kg / 11.4 stone (top end healthy BMI)
Dream weight 68kg / 10.7 stone

Reeeeeeally want to get to target weight before holiday in 10 days time so time really is ticking now! Feel like one of the Lionesses: must keep my cool, bang it in the back of the net and get the job done.

You are all absolutely amazing and the continued support on this group is incredible.

Onwards and downwards! Godspeed for thread 7! xx

P.S. have clearly plagiarised some phrases from some of you good people. Hope you don’t mind: feel they’re part of our thing as a group now so please take it as flattery!

@usedtobeaylis I hear you with the back fat! I think that's where its gone mainly from me.

Photo on the left is me in February and the right was July.

Still a long way to go but the photos definitely help.

Yes! See where clothes are all flat lines now. You look fab.

Mounjaroday · 12/08/2025 21:02

Well done @Marypoppinsisnosaint

My back fat has decreased too. I hadn't noticed before reading here.

Who else is off Mounjaro now as would like compare notes about volume of food you can eat now.

Volume for me has definitely shrunk. I notice I'm really full and it feels properly full not Mounjaro full.

Yet I have the draw to want to still eat because I can for example it's a planned snack so I'm trying hard to ignore that voice and concentrate on my stomach.

I feel like I could still eat if I wanted to, a bit like in my bingeing days and that's what I want to stay stopped.

WoolerOwl · 13/08/2025 16:38

Very interesting article by Jason Fung on conditioned hunger: ie that we eat because we are in a routine of eating at certain times, when this isn’t really necessary. Also thoughts on fasting and hunger. I think this will be useful for me when I get to maintenance.

Nomoretopswithblacktrousers · 13/08/2025 17:24

Thanks for sharing that @WoolerOwl Interesting to know the evil ghrelin spikes just before meals - makes perfect sense of course.

So often at 4:30 my snack alarm goes off even when I'm not hungry. Am sure it's conditioning from the time I used to get home from school for years!

I didn't snack today as I listened to my full stomach!

OntheTrainX · 13/08/2025 21:27

I took my last dose today. I’m a bit concerned about what comes next when it wears off next Tuesday/Wednesday. I just hope willpower will suffice.

Good luck but please keep us posted. We will all soon be there too. I wonder if there is a thread to support those now maintaining

Good luck!! If it's any consolation you should have Mounjaro in your system for up to a month after you took your last dose. Likely to have a wearing off rather than a massive change within a week.

MJSpideySenses · 14/08/2025 09:13

Morning all,

I've been on holiday for 2 weeks. Didn't jab while I was there for various reasons. I didn't eat for the sake of it (saying no to ice creams and things if I wasn't hungry) but didn't stop myself from having anything I wanted. You can't avoid pizza and pasta in Italy 😅

I weighed myself on Tues morning, I'd gained 5lbs. Injected myself then too. This morning I'm back to my pre-holiday weight. Can't complain.

Stepping up my game now, I've let bad habits creep in over the last month or so and as a result my weight loss has slowed.

Hope you're all doing ok.

Anyone got any lunch ideas that are minimal effort?

usedtobeaylis · 14/08/2025 09:29

I try to ignore 'food of the moment' noise because there are so many contradictory ideas but chia seeds are actually little miracles. I know some people have struggled with constipation on Mounjaro and I would definitely recommend chia to help with that.

CoolLimeSheep · 14/08/2025 13:43

After gaining last week and it putting me in a bad mood I have cut down weighing myself till this morning.
And now feeling happy ive officially lost 8 stone 1.9lbs in a year on mounjaro body fat is healthy range aswell. Although you wouldn't think that with my stomach but that must be excess skin.
Hope everyone's doing ok!

Well with the incoming price increases looks like I'll be tapering down/coming off the MJ slightly sooner than I thought! Just glad I'm at my target weight, feel for anyone who isn't and who can't afford the jump.

CoolLimeSheep · 14/08/2025 16:19

@sweetpickle2 when is the price increase? i didn't even know there was going be one 🤔

sweetpickle2 · 14/08/2025 16:20

@CoolLimeSheep From 1st Sept, there's a whole thread about it here- www.mumsnet.com/talk/weight-loss-injections/5391635-big-price-increases

CoolLimeSheep · 14/08/2025 16:25

@sweetpickle2 think ill be tapering too no way am I paying 255.
Thanks for the info 😀 im not actually that bothered about getting to 10.5 I honestly didn't ever Imagine getting to 11 stone 7

PurpleCoo · 14/08/2025 16:56

I have a spare pen in the fridge, with 3 doses left in current one (will be taking one tomorrow). I was going to hold fire and see what pen I wanted if any when those had run out, but I want to try and order a couple in before the price increases.

Bloody Trump!!

PurpleCoo · 14/08/2025 17:00

I'm away in a week as well, so it feels risky to order now in case it doesn't arrive in time 🤦‍♀️ I will have to order the day I get back, which will be late on the 29th.

Maybe some places will do some specials where you can buy pens in bulk

sweetpickle2 · 14/08/2025 17:06

A few providers let you buy 2 or 3 at once, Oushk is one of them.

Marypoppinsisnosaint · 14/08/2025 18:02

Thank you for all the love up thread. It means a lot ❤️

Price increases are definitely a worry.

I've been stockpiling since the med express "scandal" When I say stockpiling they let you order every 2 weeks and I'm using up the pot I gained before you could no longer share codes.

I'm always worried they are going to take it away so I order just in case.

I wasn't going to order anymore and see how I'd go (currently 5 pens in my garage fridge) but I might now order.

Hope you're all having a fabulous week ❤️

usedtobeaylis · 14/08/2025 18:30

I've got two pens in the fridge and am hoping I can get a price match for a final pen to order early. I sadly can't afford to stockpile or keep buying at the reported prices. I'm gutted. The final boss of cruelty to fat people.

SpiralSister · 14/08/2025 19:07

Don’t panic, warriors! If you read that thread, there are some sensible sounding voices saying that although price increases are not unlikely, they are unlikely to be at the level the ‘list price’ says. All the commercial agreements have to shake down first. Obviously I am hoping hard that this is correct, cos it’s a right kick in the flaps otherwise!

usedtobeaylis · 14/08/2025 19:15

I can't afford ANY price rises so I'm fucked. I wonder if I can somehow take a lower dose and start stretching it out so I'm at least maintaining some level in my body. I'm only halfway to where I want to be.
