Well my goodness. Thread 7. Warriors, we are 6 months in! How life has changed.

To all of you who have made it: many, many congratulations and good luck with the continued maintenance. To the rest of the team still climbing that mountain: we got this, let’s bloody go!!

SW 103.9kg / 16.4 stone
CW 73.4kg / 11.6 stone
TW 72.2kg / 11.4 stone (top end healthy BMI)
Dream weight 68kg / 10.7 stone

Reeeeeeally want to get to target weight before holiday in 10 days time so time really is ticking now! Feel like one of the Lionesses: must keep my cool, bang it in the back of the net and get the job done.

You are all absolutely amazing and the continued support on this group is incredible.

Onwards and downwards! Godspeed for thread 7! xx

P.S. have clearly plagiarised some phrases from some of you good people. Hope you don’t mind: feel they’re part of our thing as a group now so please take it as flattery!

February 2025 starters will always be February 2025 starters even when we've stopped! You've been a great support to people here @Zibb so pleased so stay for your own support.

I have finally sized down on my leggings - I thought I must be near it so ordered both sizes and I'll now have to return the bigger size. And I've bought size 14 jeans from Vinted - the one style I know I fit into the 14 already so not too exciting but I am at the stage where some of my clothes are slightly too on the baggy side so I should hopefully be able to order more soon. This has been in the space of the last 4-5lbs btw that I've noticed the difference. Even though it's frustrating with all the differents standards and sometimes being in-between sizes, it's becoming a bit more fun rather than despairing that nothing fits or looks nice.

Oh also we've spoken about our feet shrinking, I've definitely lost a half size on my feet and returned to my pre-pregnancy (over 10 years ago!) shoe size. I've also been wearing wide fit for years and now wondering if I should try standard fit again.

Weigh-in day for me:

SW 103.9kg
CW 71.3kg (= healthy BMI 24.6)
TW 68kg

@WoolerOwl one thing I will definitely stick to going forward is weighing myself every day and keeping myself accountable.

I'm definitely still plan to be on this thread even after i've stopped jabbing @Zibb- I hope you do too!

Feeling quite nauseous today after an 8mg jab yesterday, I think from next week I'll taper down to a 6mg or something. I am definitely eating more what I would call 'normally', but I seem to be able to make better choices with size of meal or type of food. I am going to go back to calorie counting to try and set me up for when I'm off the jabs completely- although now my TDEE calories are much lower because I've lost weight, sob.

Nomoretopswithblacktrousers · 09/09/2025 14:11

I'll be quite glad for me when more of you are off Mounjaro so we can compare notes. 😊😁

Weighing daily is the one thing I'm continuing to do, even on the days after the big meals.

So yesterday I had my first consultation with my PT. I bloody loved him! He was amazing 🤩 He was was so encouraging and enthusiastic. Blowing my own trumpet here but he was very impressed with my squats and he was practically giddy adding more weight because "that's too light for you, you're stronger than you think" when doing leg presses.

Can't move today but saying that I'm looking forward to having proper sessions with him over the next few weeks.

Even though I can now get back to the gym because the kids are back to school, I'm fully committed to completing c25k. Week 7 run 1 planned for tomorrow! Been swimming today, who even am I right now?!?! 😂

laundryhamper · 09/09/2025 20:46

Close to TW now (just 4kg to go).
Thank goodness I’d done most of the hard work before the prices went up. But I am very worried about what will happen if/when I come off.
Chart below shows the two occasions I had to pause taking it. Red circle was when I was in hospital and had to stop for nearly three weeks. Blue circle was when I was away for ten days and couldn’t take MJ with me.

It definitely would save NHS money! Maybe someday someone will see that.

WoolerOwl · 10/09/2025 07:10

I am going to START weighing daily when I get to goal. At the moment, it’s too distracting and I feel I try less hard if I know I’ve already lost that week. So, I’m trying to store up my losses for my end of Sept weigh in and hope I’ve got nearer to goal in this 10mg pen.

I’ve been ill for the last few days. Had brunch with friends and something in it (the ham, I suspect) must have been off. Sweats, squits, stomach ache for 36 hours immediately afterwards. Feeling washed out now but getting better. Trying to summon up an appetite!

skyscrapersinging · 10/09/2025 08:46

@Zibb absolutely stay! We are all in this together, have been since Feb. I may soon be in your boat anyway. Thinking I’ll either have to taper or maybe move to Wegovy. I can’t justify the cost at the moment, child about to start uni, so we are in for an expensive few years.

@WoolerOwl suggestion re what we’ve learned- I’ve learned I need to prioritise my sleep, water intake and I also weigh daily. Means I don’t stress about small fluctuations, but I do input the number every day into an app, so I will be able to see longer term trends either good or bad.

Mounjaroday · 10/09/2025 09:13

Hope you’re on the mend soon, @WoolerOwl

Daily weighing is something I now rely on. I’m 400g up from yesterday, so it’s keeping me focussed on making good choices today. Also made the kids laugh and shout ‘Mum! Language’” when I growled “FFS” at the scales this morning. Bastard things. (The scales. Not the kids).

@Marypoppinsisnosaint you are killing it! 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻 That is so cool 😎

@Mounjaroday it’s the same in my house!

We all know how much our weight can fluctuate but when you’ve had a good day, exercised and stuck to your calorie limit and your weight still jumps by several hundred grams it’s soooo frustrating 😫.

My husband just laughs at me when I groan about 100g here and there 😄

Nomoretopswithblacktrousers · 10/09/2025 20:20

As much as I have enjoyed my eating indulgences in last two last weekends, felt really grim afterwards. As cliche as it sounds clean eating really works for me. Think my body is really used to it.

Mounjaroday · 10/09/2025 20:32

So difficult to make good choices all the stupid bloody time! Went on the shortest run in the world ever this morning, and have spent the rest of the day ridiculously ravenous. Honestly a tiny bit of exercise and I’m all over the place.

How’s everyone else doing today?

usedtobeaylis · 10/09/2025 22:00

I still haven't taken the jag this week and have found myself mooching about the cupboards today. I'm not surprised but also a bit despondent about the future to an extent as I've been eating so well for 6 months and after only 3/4 days of not taking a scheduled jag I can see how easy it is to revert to old habits. The scale is showing a 2-4lb midweek gain at the moment which isn't surprising me despite remaining around my calorie limit. Everything just feels a bit off this week.

On the other hand it's also reinforcing how important establishing those good habits and being organised is. I have stayed within calories and for the most part still made good choices except at an event at the weekend, which is to be expected sometimes. I did not want to go to the supermarket tonight or think about meal planning and prep but I made myself do it and now I know I have my food organised until Saturday I do feel a bit better. Organisation is definitely my key.

madroid · 10/09/2025 22:35

Anyone found good price for 7.5mg? My usual pharmacy is quoting a £80 increase!

WoolerOwl · 11/09/2025 07:32

I’m away at a work thing with people I haven’t seen for months and am getting all the comments about weight loss from my female colleagues (I think the men wouldn’t dare!). I guess they’re being nice and it’s good to know that they think I look great, but I do still feel uncomfortable. No, I’m not overdoing it, yes, it is intentional, no I’m not ill. Thankfully I walked past some of them early in the morning in my running kit on my way back from puffing my way round the park on week 5 of C25k, so it just looks as if I’ve taken up exercise and there haven’t been awkward questions about “how?”. The overdoing it questions really bug me though. I have a BMI of about 24, down from 34. There is still plenty of me!

CoolLimeSheep · 11/09/2025 07:47

It's coming off but 2 weeks left my current pen ordering my last pen next week and if it comes off it does but if it doesnt I dont care even if my bmi is still classed as over weight. Little worried when i am off it but that's just fear! Weighing a little less at moment but do agree i will weigh everyday when off.

Same. I’ve had two days this week (on hols in Spain), alcohol with dinner and dessert after. Have woken up both days feeling fairly crappy. Which is a shame, I love a drink and a cheesecake. But it doesn’t love me back.

Nomoretopswithblacktrousers · 11/09/2025 14:48

Work is so busy this week. I've not been exercising much as a result. Everything goes pear-shaped including my bum when I don't exercise and it makes the busy-ness more stressful. Argh.

Must do something about it rather than whine here though!!

Mounjaroday · 11/09/2025 19:07

Had a wee little cuddle with my eldest.

“You’re so soft, like a cushion, mummy”

“Aw thanks baby”

”Yeah it’s all your loose skin”.

😆

MJSpideySenses · 11/09/2025 20:35

Finally made my 3 stone loss today! Half way there.

The summer holidays and lack of routine took there toll on my day to day habits. I ended the 6 weeks at the same weight I started them, with a few fluctuations along the way.

I started a new job last week and being back to a normal day, more active, good meals etc, has got me back on track.

Some of you have made so much more progress, while I have eaten half of Italy and indulged in bottomless brunches 😅 but I'll get there.

PurpleCoo · 11/09/2025 21:23

I'm weighing in a day early, as I set off on my latest adventure today.

Total injections 30, will take jab 31 tomorrow, which will be my 7th dose of 6.25mg. it's still feeling like the Goldilocks dose. I get hungry and happily eat, though if distracted could easily forget to eat. Although I am very hungry later on, especially after my more active days.

SW: 96.55kg
CW: 71.05
Weekly loss 1.45kg.

Does anyone else find it fascinating watching what is happening to your body? So after a week of STS, but +1kg muscle, -1kg fat, and generally feeling like the soft wobbly bits I had noticed were improving, I feel as though literally overnight, my upper belly has gone really soft and saggy. I guess my body has just dropped a load of fat from there and the skin needs to catch up. I also don't feel like my shape has changed at all, it's just smaller. I think I was expecting my wobbly bits to stick out less, but they look exactly the same (proportionally), because the rest of me has shrunk as well 🤦‍♀️

I am also getting annoyed at my boobs shrinking again as I have only recently bought small bras! I can't think of any other garment that is as problematic if the size is too big. Jumpers/t shirts just look baggy, dresses and trousers work with a belt etc. my too big leggings are being repurposed as yoga/pilates wear.

well done, I'm 1/2Lb away from 3 stone loss and it's proving to be a challenge.
