Well my goodness. Thread 7. Warriors, we are 6 months in! How life has changed.

To all of you who have made it: many, many congratulations and good luck with the continued maintenance. To the rest of the team still climbing that mountain: we got this, let’s bloody go!!

SW 103.9kg / 16.4 stone
CW 73.4kg / 11.6 stone
TW 72.2kg / 11.4 stone (top end healthy BMI)
Dream weight 68kg / 10.7 stone

Reeeeeeally want to get to target weight before holiday in 10 days time so time really is ticking now! Feel like one of the Lionesses: must keep my cool, bang it in the back of the net and get the job done.

You are all absolutely amazing and the continued support on this group is incredible.

Onwards and downwards! Godspeed for thread 7! xx

P.S. have clearly plagiarised some phrases from some of you good people. Hope you don’t mind: feel they’re part of our thing as a group now so please take it as flattery!

Also freezing and @WoolerOwl good point didnt feel nearly as hot on holiday this summer.

Weird thing going on . I thought I might order another 10mg on Medexpress who ive been with majority of time even thought only ordere one 2 weeks ago and its only offering me a 2.5 or 5...im not sure if its because im now in a healthy bmi but its saying when I tried to ask for 5 that im going up a dose.. ill try again today incase was a glitch...they're not making this an easy time for us are they!

SpiralSister · 28/08/2025 08:25

Also on 10 and feeling cold again! I think it’s too high for me. Not that the weight is falling off 😬 because I’m really packing in the nutrient dense foods and milky drinks. 7lbs to go to a healthy BMI as of this morning, so think I’ll go back down to 7.5mg next time.

That might also save a few million quid on the pen..

Medexpress are out of stock on higher doses I think. But they also seem to be tightening up on not letting people swap to them under a healthy BMI as they don’t offer maintenance plans. How long ago did you last order from them?

usedtobeaylis · 28/08/2025 09:29

I'm starting to wonder if I've imagined my weight loss. Seriously 😂

Decided to try on a pair of size 14 leggings this morning. Leggings! Stretchy! Thinking surely, surely I can fit into these now.

Hardly. I can get them on thanks to them being stretchy but not totally comfortably and the legs ride up every time I move.

I'm still in the position of having lost 3.4 stone and not a single dress size 😭

FunnyCrabDance · 28/08/2025 12:01

@Zibb was it you that had the Chinese and a big jump up next day on scales? Did it disappear quickly too? Sorry if wrong person 🙂
I had deliciously good Indian last night and of course 3 lb overnight increase. No jab since 5th August, frantically injected 2.5 of a 5mg pen this morning. Hope that will help a little over the next few days. I really dont want to get fat again but my brain's starting to really want to sabotage me 😭

FunnyCrabDance · 28/08/2025 12:03

@usedtobeaylis , new leggings? I think much depends on the make, not all leggings are created equally!

WoolerOwl · 28/08/2025 12:37

For clothes that I already owned, I think I have now recognized that I was wearing them in a way that was stretched, distorted, and uncomfortable. So although some 14s still just about fit me, I was actually an 18. And they didn't look good. Trousers especially. Now some of the 14s are too big and have gone to the charity shop or on Vinted, but others are great, just pleasantly loose and flat around the waist. It's a revelation. My measurements have definitely gone down, but I could technically say that I was a 14 and still am, despite having lost 27kg. But if I buy new things from somewhere fairly standard, I am a 12. And I was an 18, if I am being honest. I've also gone down two whole ring sizes.

Same for me- I thought I'd been a 16 this whole time but actually I was wearing very stretched out 16s and 18s, and was probably more like a 20. Now they've all gone to the charity shop and most shop bought 16s are too big for me, I'm looking at a 14 and even a 12 in a lot of places now. On days when I don't feel I've changed much I remind myself that's probably why- because when I was ~4 stone heavier I thought I was the same size I am now and I very much was not!

WoolerOwl · 28/08/2025 12:46

Oh, but I should say that I still have a pair of size 14 Next wool trousers with a fairly high waist that aren't even close to buttoning up! Some of this is not us, it's just the clothes.

Mounjaroday · 28/08/2025 14:32

Interesting about sizing. When I started this (at 16.4stone), I was most definitely a size 18/20. For context I’m 5’7”. Now a size 12/14 at 11.5 stone.

FFS give me a break. BMI is 25 on the nose this morning so still officially overweight.

Edited

… and today I am inexplicably 300g heavier than yesterday, so BMI is now 25.1!! I know I’ll get there but this is getting bloody annoying! 😂

Oh no. I feel like I jinxed you with my comment yesterday!

sc0ttishlass · 28/08/2025 18:46

@MynameisJune I only ordered a 10mg less than 2 weeks ago so ive currently got 1 dose left plus full pen but thought id try and order while prices were same. I've been with them most of the time so a regular customer. Im probably at a decision point as now a couple of pounds under healthy bmi. Wanted to lose a few more so I had some wiggle room but also terrified of not being on this....

This is How I think height/ weight / clothes sizes / body shapes / atheleticism are so personal. I am 5 ft 8.5 and started at 16 stone 9, in a size 16. I have never owned anything bigger than that. I’m now 13 at 7 and fitting into some 12s, and comfortable in all 14s.

but still technically an overweight BMI. But I’m muscly and sporty - my thighs for example are solid muscle. I will never be “thin”, I think the best I could go for is strong and fit.

SpiralSister · 29/08/2025 07:02

Joining in with the size thing. I was an 18-20, and chose clothes that were more, ahem, floaty. Forgiving in other words. Four stone off and I’m in a 12 in much more fitted clothes. I can still wear a 14 without it looking too baggy, and in fact need to for the boobs sometimes (grrr).

I did wonder whether I would eventually be in a 10, if I lost another stone (which on paper I can afford to do). But it’s apparent that I wouldn’t be - I don’t think I’d ever get a fitted 10 across my broad shoulders or generous hips, even unadorned by flesh!

When did we stop talking about build, do you think? I think it’s a real thing. Not everyone is going to look the same at a similar weight/height, and nor should we aim at that. Another reason why BMI is junk?

Still really, really want to hit that healthy BMI magic number though! I hear you, @Mounjaroday!

WoolerOwl · 29/08/2025 08:56

Same with me, @SpiralSister. I am content buying size 12s because I don't think I will be that much different if I lose the last 4kg. And even when I was a further 5kg or so lighter than that, as a student, I still happily wore a size 12 some of the time, because of frame/shoulders. I am 173cm with long arms and big feet/hands!

I hope my bra size doesn't go down further as I have just invested in some fabulous Fantasie bras in a 34DD with excellent side/under arm support.

What I can't work out is how much more of the blobby belly I will lose. That's where the 4kg all need to disappear from! If that were to happen, I guess I might need to change the kind of trousers I wear. At the moment, some of the barrel styles are quite loose around the hips and it is definitely my stomach that needs the 12 rather than the 10. But with slimmer styles, I can't see it making any difference.

All of this helps to say that BMI is only part of the picture and clothing sizes do not tell us everything.

usedtobeaylis · 29/08/2025 09:00

I was definitely on the larger side of a size 16 and generally more on the smaller side now - I do remember buying some size 18s and them being too big for me. Actually for a lot of my life I've always felt 'in-between' sizes and that clothes were never really made for me which is how I ended up wearing so many mens clothes. And I've definitely gone down in men's tops - from an L to a M as standard. My favourite jumper is still and L and is starting to bag a bit.

In other news my two and a half week late period has finally showed up so I'm hopeful for some movement on the scales this weekend or next to finally take me in to the 12 stones 😊

Mounjaroday · 29/08/2025 09:14

Warriors, it finally happened! 71.8kg = healthy BMI 🎉

Week 30 begins today bonus dose of 10mg today with another 10mg pen in the fridge ready to go

SW 95.9 kg
CW 77.6 KG which finally gets me over weight 29.9 BMI
a drop of 1KG last week which is much better than previous week.

I'd like to get to around 70 kg 11stone which is probably going to be around late November and look to drop off Mounjaro early 2026.

Have a great weekend and keep up the good work

@Mounjaroday Woohoo! Well done! And thank you for keeping us all going on this thread.

Au contraire! This would have been a very lonely and dull 7 months without you amazing people! 🫶

Never in a million years believed a 5 stone loss was possible. Now need my brain to accept that I am not fat!
