Well my goodness. Thread 7. Warriors, we are 6 months in! How life has changed.

To all of you who have made it: many, many congratulations and good luck with the continued maintenance. To the rest of the team still climbing that mountain: we got this, let’s bloody go!!

SW 103.9kg / 16.4 stone
CW 73.4kg / 11.6 stone
TW 72.2kg / 11.4 stone (top end healthy BMI)
Dream weight 68kg / 10.7 stone

Reeeeeeally want to get to target weight before holiday in 10 days time so time really is ticking now! Feel like one of the Lionesses: must keep my cool, bang it in the back of the net and get the job done.

You are all absolutely amazing and the continued support on this group is incredible.

Onwards and downwards! Godspeed for thread 7! xx

P.S. have clearly plagiarised some phrases from some of you good people. Hope you don’t mind: feel they’re part of our thing as a group now so please take it as flattery!

Got the new prices through from Farmeci, who I’ve used all the way through because they always price matched. Since the price hikes they are no longer price matching or offering any deals - I’m wondering is this the same across all suppliers, what has other people’s experiences been?

I haven’t seen anyone mention any deals/discounts on the new prices. There is the new rebate scheme and apparently suppliers are supposed to pass the savings onto the customer but if these are the prices with the rebate scheme discount applied or not I don’t think anyone knows. And apparently suppliers have had to sign NDA’s over the rebates.

It’s all still very up in the air.

Zibb · 26/08/2025 13:45

One of the reddit subs has a wiki keeping track of all the new pricing
https://www.reddit.com/r/mounjarouk/wiki/index/price-increases/#wiki_confirmed_price_increase_table

£270 is so far the cheapest for 15mg.

I don't think there's any news on discount codes yet.

usedtobeaylis · 26/08/2025 14:05

That makes for some grim reading @Zibb.

sweetpickle2 · 26/08/2025 14:18

£449 for a 15mg at some places, that is just absolutely outrageous!

Zibb · 26/08/2025 14:20

Doesn't it?

Cheapest 7.5mg is £214 so far. Unless there's some decent discount codes that will me done.

I'll be able to buy one more on pay day and then I might get a 5mg in September to taper off.

Glad I didn't go up to 15mg and I feel terrible for those who are looking at coming off before they're done.

Zibb · 26/08/2025 14:24

Not gonna lie though, I am really worried about stopping.

I've got 1 dose left of my current pen. So by the end of October-ish I'll be finishing my MJ journey. Hopefully at goal weight! I've been looking at maintenance subs and threads for hope that I'll be able to do this despite 30+ years of struggling.

And so consumers will be shafted again. Really has put me off Mounjaro.

@Zibb it's early days for me in life after Mounjaro. I'm actually doing better than I expected. Even if the desire to eat still crops up, it's controllable. I don't want to be that fat fecker anymore. I love my new wardrobe and do not want to go backwards. I suspect that I eat a good amount of carbs and fats, along with protein helps a lot. My planned meals in life after Mounjaro are actually higher calorie than before Mounjaro so I have less desire to eat.

Just my experience of course.

I’ve hit a new stone bracket!!!!

Highest weight - 16st 9.5
Mounjaro SW on 15.2.25 - 14st 12
CW - 10st 13

Loss this week: 1 lb
Total loss on Mounjaro: 55 lbs (3st 13)
Total loss overall: 80.5 lbs (5st 10.5)

Can’t remember the last time I was in the 10stones. Must be at least 7 years ago.

Amazing!!! How tall are you out of interest, as mg stats are the same as yours - except I haven’t lost as much. My highest weight last year was 16 st 9, and I started MJ in Feb at 15 st 12. Weight now is 13 st 7. I feel so good and look good with clothes on. But I’d like to lose another 2 stone to be in healthy weight bracket.

Fantastic. Well done. Although I weigh in kgs, I still watch out for the stone changes with a conversation chart (so I don't have to "disrupt" the scales by changing units) and they give me such pleasure. I really want to be 10 stone something again too!

Mounjaroday · 27/08/2025 09:09

FFS give me a break. BMI is 25 on the nose this morning so still officially overweight.

Weigh in day.

Week 29
Start 13 stone 5
Current 9 stone 11
Loss 50lb!!
Bmi healthy (just!)
Feeling.. amazing!

On 10mg and have 1 dose plus 1 full pen left. Not sure what to do after that as wont be able to afford expected increase on 10 so will see. So sad about this as ive felt better in so many ways on mounjaro not just the weight loss!

At my running group yesterday coach asked about how ive lost so much and asked about mounjaro (rude!!) I lied but I dont really care, its my business..

Have a good day everyone! Ps im at the point of having to think about buying new pants!! 😀

Mostly carry my weight around my middle, I’m all belly and boobs with skinny legs lol.

Interesting. It's reported here the rebates are the same across all companies.

I finally have been able to order a new pen! I stuck with my existing supplier as I've been waiting for stock and had multiple orders cancelled with other suppliers due to stock issues/ not taking on new patients, etc.
Yes I've had to pay the new inflated price and yes it's definitely not one of the cheaper suppliers, certainly anymore BUT.... It is ordered and it will be with me in time! And for that I am not just relieved but thrilled! 😅

I recently moved up to 10mg and have really struggled with nausea and too much suppression so I've decided, to help with the increased price, to order the 12.5mg pen, but to count clicks for 7mg/jab... With the golden dose that should give me 8/9 jabs out of each pen... so the weekly cost has only slightly increased. Initially I will of course have to outlay more but I'm sooooo relieved that this isn't the end of the journey for me! Yey!! 😁

But if you weigh again tmrw, you probably won’t be over 25! Nearly there…

ThatJoyousHazelDuck · 27/08/2025 17:28

It's been a funny couple of days, went to the office yesterday. Forgot my lunch so got a salad from a different place and I couldn't stomach any of it, it was just awful. Then I had the dreaded toilet issues while still in the office, spent most of the afternoon back and forth from the loo 🤢 I didn't want to leave as the train home is an hour door to door so had to stay later than planned.

While there, I got cornered by a colleague who was so happy that I'm losing weight the 'right way' and not using those demon injections like everyone else. I had to politely tell her I had no issues with anyone taking medication if that's what's needed for them. Honestly, exhausting day.

Today, I forgot to have lunch, and I'm going to an exercise class tonight so need to stuff dinner down so it has time to settle. Some days are just not the one 🤣

So close. You will get there!

WoolerOwl · 27/08/2025 18:52

I'm finding the suppression on 10mg really high. Not getting too stressed about not fancying much at all to eat at the moment. The smell of toast is making me feel sick. Sweet food repulses me. And I'm all cold again. Maybe it's the weather cooling down, but I feel a bit like I did at the beginning on the first doses. Ah well, it will help shift the last 5kg or so. Off to hop in a hot shower!

Just be careful of when you re-order if you’re not on a maintenance plan and it’s been 6-8 weeks since your last prescription pretty much every decent pharmacy will force you back to 2.5mg as that’s the guidelines.

MrsPepperpot79 · 27/08/2025 22:52

Not been on for a while but have to ask re pricing... I was on a year deal with provider and they have just offered either moving to Wegovy for last 5 months at same price, or continue Mounjaro at three times the price...
I feel stuck, as am tied for a year but cannot realy afford the MJ price increase. Has anyone tried wegovy and how does it compare?

You know, I had already totally forgotten about that side effect of being cold! It’s such a weird thing!

@Mounjaroday It’s made me realise how much easier the summer was, because I didn’t really suffer in the hot weather, even abroad where it was even hotter. Now it’s the dying days of August and I’ve got my bed socks on!

Same, I’ve moved up to 10, suppression super high and feeling cold. But like you i’m not sure I’ve ever stopped feeling cold I think the warmer weather just made me feel ‘normal’ as I’ve also not suffered here or on holiday when it was super warm!
