Well my goodness. Thread 7. Warriors, we are 6 months in! How life has changed.

To all of you who have made it: many, many congratulations and good luck with the continued maintenance. To the rest of the team still climbing that mountain: we got this, let’s bloody go!!

SW 103.9kg / 16.4 stone
CW 73.4kg / 11.6 stone
TW 72.2kg / 11.4 stone (top end healthy BMI)
Dream weight 68kg / 10.7 stone

Reeeeeeally want to get to target weight before holiday in 10 days time so time really is ticking now! Feel like one of the Lionesses: must keep my cool, bang it in the back of the net and get the job done.

You are all absolutely amazing and the continued support on this group is incredible.

P.S. have clearly plagiarised some phrases from some of you good people. Hope you don’t mind: feel they’re part of our thing as a group now so please take it as flattery!

I’m going to wait a week or so and see what things are like when this settles down a bit. I’ll try and order 1 more pen before the increase and probably get a 15 but only take 7.5 or 5 from it and make it last longer and titrate down. I have planned to go above 10mg anyway but I did plan on being on a maintenance plan that lets you order as and when so I have a safety net in case I can’t do this on my own. God knows I’ve tried before but PCOS and now peri are a bitch for weight loss.

I've seen people talking about going cold turkey and eating 1200 calories. I feel like there's a real element of forgetting how hard it is eat 1200 calories a day and how much so many of us have already been yo-yo dieters. If it was that simple none of us would be on Mounjaro in the first place.

Love the support and camaraderie in this group. We've come a long way in 6 months!

Absolutely! I’ve done all that, numerous bloody times in the last 23 years of being an adult. It has never worked long term and I’ve been bloody miserable and consumed by dieting.

The freedom from food obsession MJ has given me has been life changing.

I’m holding onto the facts that Retatrutide is coming, wegovy 7.5mg is coming, and in a few years patents will be expired and suppliers won’t be able to hold people over a barrel. It’s not ideal but it’s also not forever.

I’m not going back to fat. I can’t. I’ll have to sell my worldly goods, or something. Get DH to sub me, most likely 😩
I’ve ordered my next pen, which I would have done today anyway. All seemed normal at my supplier! Trying to hold my nerve..

I’ve ordered a pen but it hasn’t been confirmed, although it’s a 10 and stock issues seem to be 12.5 and 15. I keep flip flopping about ordering another one but I’m fortunate that if medical market place new prices stay the same then I can afford a couple of 10 with them if need be.

I hated people stock piling during Covid and I really hate it now because it’s making me panic and I need to keep telling myself I’ll be okay.

I ordered a 10mg from MMP yesterday too. I’ve paid and had the confirmation email but nothing more yet. I guess it’s just a waiting game now.

I’m near my goal weight and have a 12mg waiting in the fridge so I’m alright for the next few weeks, especially if I count clicks to stick with 10mg but I was planning on coming off MJ slowly. I really don’t want to go cold turkey. Anxious times!

I ordered from Pharmacy2u and now they’ve closed orders to anyone new and just existing but I wasn’t existing so I don’t know if it will be declined and refunded and then I’ll have to try elsewhere. I really, really don’t want to put them on a credit card as I don’t want the debt.

Is anyone else on Juniper and can tell me where on the website you can find your “prescription”??

Just had confirmation that latest pen has dispatched. Radio silence on THE ISSUE.

I’ve decided to tackle my worries on this step by step 😬 - will it get here before it totally melts? Then, will they run out of stock before the next one is due? Then, what in the merry hell will be the price of that one?!

Oushk fb has gone mad, or even madder.

There's people complaining about those who bought more than 1, people defending themselves saying Hira told people on a live call last night they could buy 3 and then those who criticise Hira and being told to "be kind."

And in the meantime someone has found someone wearing an Oushk t-shirt and started a poll asking if others want one too of their "beloved" pharmacy. 🤢🤢 Turns out Oushk isn't just the name of a pharmacy and t-shirt wasn't for the pharmacy.

Apparently Oushk have 3000 emails in their inbox. God customer service must be having the hardest time.

I wonder if Hira had her time again whether she'd have chosen to be the face of her company.

I think Oushk have been pretty shady in letting people suddenly be able to buy 3 pens at once of the same dose. It’s great business sense to offload stock before demand plummets and the amount of people defending them like they’re best mates and not a business is madness.

I ordered my new pen just before I learnt about the whole thing.
🤞🤞 it will be ok. It’s a small pharmacy so I’m hoping it won’t get out of stock otherwise I’m in big trouble

Looks like im going away on holiday without the jab only got 1 dose left for monday oh well see how I get on. Everyone youve done amazing and im sure we will all get through it. Maybe this is what they want everyone scared to come off it so we will keep buying. Don't get me wrong without it I wouldn't be where I am now but we have all made changes ✨️ to our eating and exercise

Sorry @CoolLimeSheep it’s a nightmare. Pharmacy2u have said at least 5 days for clinical approval before despatch. Thankfully I’ve got a brand new pen in the fridge as I always order a bit before needing so can ride out the madness as long as they do actually honour the order I’ve placed!

Ive never really bought more in just order once a month I only work part time so just going see how I go hopefully they honour mine too

I only do one a month as well as I put them on my Amex card to get the points for airmiles then clear it and buy the next one. Somehow I’m in the position of having one full pen in the fridge and have just cleared my card so was going to order anyway in the next couple of weeks but have just done it sooner.

DH saw the news this morning and was outraged for us all.
He said we can continue to buy it for me, but I'm not sure I can justify the cost to myself at that price. But the real injustice is those who cannot continue. Hoping something is sorted and it's not as bad as feared.

Medicine market place have listed their new prices, 10mg is going from 135 to 239 so £104 difference but it’s still less than new list price which indicates decent commercial terms, and without any discounts so it might yet be less.

Hadn't thought of that @MynameisJune Yes they have totally done that.
They've now had to drop the max to 2.

Apparently medicine market place are reporting Eli Lily said patients shouldn't be allowed to order more than 1 at once. Obviously theyve not mentioned people being able to go to multiple pharmacies as they can't control that.

Has anyone ever had this - I was a bit peckish in mid afternoon so had a cup of tea and an apple and a few crackers, and after it I felt a bit disheartened because I felt like I'd eaten so much today. That feeling has been lingering.

However, I've just logged my dinner on Nutracheck and I haven't 'eaten so much at all'. I had my lunch as normal - I don't often eat breakfast - and then had my snack and then had my dinner. Both meals just happened to be a bit lower on the calorie side so I've still around 400 calories for a lovely supper later.

So why was that feeling hanging around me that I had been been overeating and making me feel shit? It was like I assumed I had overeaten like I used to for some reason and it really affected my mood for a couple of hours. In reality I hadn't overeaten and crucially hadn't eaten anything sugary. I haven't even done it unconsciously or automatically, because I don't even have anything like that in the house any more.

But that feeling, that I had done something wrong and felt bad and guilty about it - I haven't felt like that for months. I used to feel like that all the time. It's maybe just been the whole thing with the price rises and fearing lost ground. But it was so unpleasant.

I have that, @usedtobeaylis. I think it’s a hangover from actual overeating. In fact, I had it just now. Roasted veg, tiny chicken thigh (no skin, didn’t remotely want the skin either), savoury granola sprinkle. More or less finished it. Stuffed. I notice that I do feel a bit bad, but also recognise that this is BONKERS.

@usedtobeaylis ive had that recently since I upped my exercise but still well in calorie deficit ive spoke to a local pharmacy and they have said they can prescribe me mj in august for normal price even though im with med express and as its delayed think ill go in there next week but definately for me cant justify price hike so my mj journey will be over soon but will stay on here if people dont mind and see how I get on

@usedtobeaylis yes I get this! It’s so weird, it’s usually the days when I’ve eaten the least amount. But it’s a very weird feeling and I have to keep reminding myself that I haven’t over eaten and I haven’t binged.

Pretty happy to still my scale sitting at 69.8kg this morning.
