I noticed we were almost full (again!) so took the liberty of starting thread 5 now so I don’t get confused on nightshift and can’t find you all!

oh dear - I’m dead! 😂
@Seahorsesplendour it’s entirely your fault! Just did a 20 minute LWR workout on your recommendation. It was great!! But now I’m completely knocked out - a stark reminder of how unfit I am!!

GherkinsOnToast · 27/07/2025 11:15

Has anyone found moving up a dose has taken the suppression too far? I went up to 7.5 on Friday and unless someone has actually put food in front of me/we are sat in a restaurant I haven't even noticed that I needed food. On 5mg I was getting some suppression but was still noticing I needed food, . I'm having 1.5l water a day. I did 2 months of 2.5 and one of 5, I went up to 7.5 to try and boost things as I'm averaging 0.5kg a week ish with the occasional 1kg loss, which is great but I have 30kg to lose.

It may settle down over the month but I suspect this will be as high as I go.

I'm really struggling with exercise. I'm doing less now than pre-MJ. ☹️ I just have no energy.

Exactly the same here @SutekhsEars - solidarity! Just did a very short weights session inspired by this wonderful group last night but still waiting for the ‘exercise high’ 🤣🤣🤣

Ooh that’s interesting. I was just wondering whether to move up to 7.5 (although I have another 5mg pen left). I’ve had very little suppression so far, which initially annoyed me, but I now like having to use a little thought and willpower, plus I’m still losing about a kilo each week, so it’s working for me. I think the MJ does take away some of the food noise, so definitely helps. I might add on some of the golden dose to the 5mg on the last two doses of my next pen, see how it affects me before deciding.

BerfyTigot · 27/07/2025 11:35

Sneaky mid week weigh in revealed that I'm down another kg 💪, so staying with MJ for the time being and reordered another pen. Still got another 12kg to go, seems unbelievable that i might be there by Xmas 😮😮 (apologies for mentioning it in July).

Going to a party in couple of weeks and have bought some new clothes. Looking forward to them coming and trying them on. And hopefully SOMEONE noticing that I've lost some weight 😁

dc82 · 27/07/2025 12:00

Morning everyone!

Stats on week 12.

SW 11st11 bmi 31.2
CW 9st9 bmi 25.5
GW 9st0 bmi 23.8

MFP told me I’ve now achieved 76% of my goal weight, which is just blimmin amazing. I’m so so chuffed to have got this far. I’m also starting to look to the fact I may reach goal and then what the hell do I do then. Seems a bit scary, so just focusing on goal for now🫣

dc82 · 27/07/2025 12:11

I feel I set it off yesterday saying I was off to do weights. Sorry! I’d not done any in 3 weeks because when I went up to 3.75 I also couldn’t find the right energy to do it. I seem to be getting the energy back now thankfully. My thighs and bum are now burning today so I’m paying for my exuberance yesterday 😄.

I don’t find lifting weights has impacted my losses, I’m very aware I’ve a lot more wobbly bits with the weight loss and I’m just throwing anything at it that might help.

My neck has gone full on turkey. Can I fix it somehow? Any tips or ideas welcome! I moisturise my neck everyday and I put some serum on but it’s done nowt. 🫩

Sallycinnamum · 27/07/2025 12:16

Happy Sunday everyone!

Unfortunately I was too flippant yesterday and the SE on 3.33mg have kicked in today. Not particularly nauseous but bone tired, which is unfortunate as I am cooking a Sunday roast for extended family today!

As I am now beyond my goal weight I don't need to up the doses so I've decided to stick with 3mg for my last pen.

I don't know why anything past 3mg has such an effect on me. I can't even imagine what I'd feel like on 5mg.

Well done on all the losses all.

SaintAgatha · 27/07/2025 12:48

@dc82 That’s an incredible loss, so thrilled for you! I find the psychological impact of losing weight is actually the biggest hurdle to overcome on this “journey” (I hate that term!). Also for me, the associated knowledge that I’m not going to miraculously lose the last 20 years as well as the weight. 😅 Though I do see myself in the mirror more frequently these days.

chergar · 27/07/2025 13:28

Weekly check in lost 4.9lb this week, total loss now 2st6.3lb, which works out around 15kg.
our dog food got delivered on Friday (15kg bag) and asked dh to put it in the garage, I told him that is the amount of weight I’ve lost - he was shocked/impressed. My ds (man of few words) commented that he can notice I’ve lost weight, especially at my tummy area, so that was nice as he never comments on anything and certainly doesn’t say anything just to make you feel good.

went out for dinner last night to an Italian so had pasta, we all ended up swapping dishes and I had some creamy stuff, not what I would normally have so will do this week’s jag tomorrow after work just in case I have SE as in the office tomorrow but wfh rest of the week.

HKG · 27/07/2025 14:03

Wow, @chergar 4.9 lbs in one week! What’s your secret?? That’s so impressive!

I’ve been plodding along at about 1.5lbs a week for ages and trying to figure out how to jumpstart a little. Not complaining at all, any loss for me is a good loss!

chergar · 27/07/2025 15:42

@HKGlast week was period week so think I made up for it this week. Also my suppression is really good, I have to force myself to eat but I had, and still have a lot to lose so probably bigger losses due to that as well, it will tail off a bit as I lose more. Slow and steady is better, less chance of saggy skin as you are giving your body time to adjust x

ElsieJay · 27/07/2025 16:35

@BerfyTigot , @chergar and @dc82 - Congratulations on the losses !! 🍾🥂xxx

And @Sallycinnamum - apologies and huge congrats to you , I must have missed your post saying you’d reached goal . Well done ! 🏆🍾🥂. Hope the tiredness wears off soon xx

AccidentalPrawnYouFool · 27/07/2025 18:45

Back from my holidays today. Back on the chicken and salad. Also managed to extract the golden dose tonight, and it was successful! Dreading weighing tomorrow. I’ve been a bit naughty - carbs, a couple of ice creams and this morning had a croissant at the airport. Had a fab time though 🥰 hope everyone is doing ok! Congrats on the losses!

ElsieJay · 27/07/2025 18:45

Great news about extracting the golden dose too .

DidILeaveTheGasOn · 27/07/2025 20:04

Gosh I bet that croissant was good!

BerfyTigot · 27/07/2025 20:12

To be fair, my goal was lower than most and I didn't want to harp on about it as I'm sure many of you have a long way to go yet.

I didn't plan on going any lower than 10 stone as it seemed inconceivable at the start of my journey!

Absolutely wiped out this afternoon. Cooked lunch and had a nap when everyone had gone home!

BerfyTigot · 27/07/2025 20:26

I had a nap too today 🥳🥳🥳

Seahorsesplendour · 27/07/2025 20:32

@TreesOfGreen99 🙈I’m so sorry for being the cause of your demise!!!

impressive that you did a 20 min one straight off!!!

hope you’ve recovered now!!!

@Sallycinnamum congratulations on surpassing your goal!!! I’m heading for 10st but probably should be 9 but inconceivable from where I am so will take comfort from you making it into the 9’s!!!

I’ve also had a cheeky icecream today!! Which I really didn’t need or enjoy which was annoying but heho!! Onwards & downwards!!!!

dc82 · 27/07/2025 21:00

Super well done @Sallycinnamum! 🥳 Really pleased for you! Sorry the SE is wiping you out though. Do you think you’ll stay on the 3 or slowly drop down to lower amounts?

Welcome back @AccidentalPrawnYouFool - glad you had a great time!

chergar · 27/07/2025 21:51

Oh well done @Sallycinnamum on reaching goal, that is amazing x

TreesOfGreen99 · 27/07/2025 21:54

Yes, wk 10 i did 7.5mg & it was awful! Far too much suppression, fatigue wiped me out for 4 days & the nausea just didn't stop.
Back on 5mg now & feeling human again. Providing how this week goes, i plan on stopping on 5mg for probably a couple of weeks at least, if/when i move up i think i'll try 6mg as an interim step up. I have a long way to go & feel like my body really needs a rest & to just get used to this new regime.

1st5lbs lost, currently week 11, 5mg
