Hope I’ve done this right, I’ve never started a thread before.

@qs90 hope you don’t mind me starting a new one for us but thread 4 was full and I don’t want to lose my crew!

@Uninvitedleaf yes I think you're right and it's my "set point". I will have to just keep on trucking. And maybe boil my trousers 😂

It worked fantastically well btw - washed at 95 degrees and am wearing them today 😂They've gone from hanging off, to fitting perfectly!

Lundier · 06/08/2025 20:33

@QS90 I'm seriously going to copy you!

Newmum110 · 06/08/2025 22:01

.......off to boil my clothes

Incognitoburrito88 · 06/08/2025 22:13

@Lundier I’m laughing at you boiling your jeans and seriously considering doing the same!! I don’t want to buy new clothes until goal now but my jeans are all massive!

in other news I’m so irritated with oushk. I can’t order a new pen until I verify my height with them. I’ve already had a weight verification call but now they want some sort of proof of height. I’m in Scotland so don’t have the NHS app and the idea that I could waltz into my gp and get my height checked when you can’t get an appointment for real health concerns round here is ridiculous. We don’t have a tape measure long enough - only one of those metal tape measures but my husband can’t hold it up and photograph me at the same time… I really don’t know what to do… I have never lied about my height but I don’t know how to prove it…are all pharmacies doing height checks now?

QS90 · 06/08/2025 22:51

Lundier · 06/08/2025 20:33

@QS90 I'm seriously going to copy you!

Let me know how it goes!

My thinking was that it almost didn't matter if it didn't work, as I would have just ended up giving them away anyway 🤷‍♀️

Doidontimmm · 07/08/2025 07:01

@Lundier honestly that’s genius. I’m on it!
@Incognitoburrito88 im in Scotland, if we are near I will measure you! Anonymity guaranteed!

Squiffy01 · 07/08/2025 08:08

@Incognitoburrito88 that sounds a pain. Is there any pharmacy near by that could do it?
I stood in front of a free height chart we got from a zoo that I used with my son when he was smaller. Did not for one second think it would be accepted but it was 🤣

In good news here this mornings weigh in -2.2lbs has got me JUST into the healthy weight range at 24.8. Very excited. Definitely not where I want to be but so excited to be in it.

saxonyv · 07/08/2025 08:48

@Incognitoburrito88 i used a metal tape measure, im on on my own so stood on it and then did a selfie but at a weird angle to show the height and the bottom of the tape measure and I put a long mirror behind me so they could see I was actually measuring properly, it was accepted, I’m with Oushk too

saxonyv · 07/08/2025 08:48

But the height check is a pain really and I’m hoping it doesn’t have to be checked more than once

Incognitoburrito88 · 07/08/2025 09:00

@Doidontimmm that’s so kind of you! I can get my husband to do it I suppose… it sounds from other posts that their standards are quite low!! Thanks everyone for your suggestions - I’m quite shy and embarrassed about being on WLI so I really don’t want to go to a pharmacy - I also work full time and have 4 kids so my opportunity to visit one on my own is pretty limited. I have discovered there is an app on my phone which measures you and lets you take a pic. I think I’ll try this first and see if oushk accept it. If not I’ll do a bodge with a metal tape like @saxonyv did. Surely if they ask again you can submit the same pic?

in other depressing news my weight has gone up 3lbs since I weighed on Monday post holiday. I was definitely in a deficit those three days so I guess it’s the holiday catching up with me. I don’t seem to feel or look any heavier so I’m just trying to ignore the number on the scale and keep on going…

Mumof2studentnurse · 07/08/2025 11:09

Hi everyone - Started on April 9th. Currently on 12.5mg

Start weight - 21st 9lbs (303lbs)
Current weight - 16st 6lbs (230lbs)
Weight lost so far - 5st 3lbs. (73lbs)

I've become a little obsessed with daily weighing so I am going to try my best to wait until next week to weigh again. I've fluctuated between 16st 4 and 16st 8 for the past couple of week's so i'm making a conscious effort to make good food choices this week in the hopes of shifting a few lbs.

I have noticed myself reaching for sweets and having a few takeaways over the past couple of weeks. I think it's been related to my mood. I go for a daily walk - only for about 40mins though, so I could probably look to add some additional exercises.

I am desperate to get into the 15 stone bracket - I have not been in the 15st bracket since 2017

Woah - that’s a huge loss. Well done. Do you think you need to increase your dose? I’ve been feeling a bit more snacky over the last few days and wondering if I need to go up…

Mumof2studentnurse · 07/08/2025 11:58

Hi, @Incognitoburrito88, I have 3 more weeks on 12.5mg and then I will move up to 15mg. I have PCOS so im so happy for the support monjaro gives to my weight loss. But I really do need to make sure i'm not slipping into old habits.

Incognitoburrito88 · 07/08/2025 12:01

@Mumof2studentnurse it’s hard isn’t it. I was so committed when I started I was really good about prepping food the night before etc but now I don’t feel as evangelical and can’t be bothered to meal prep - I’ve not had a takeaway yet but definitely feel like I’d like the ease of one!

saxonyv · 07/08/2025 08:48

Logic would suggest it's a one-off thing, but who knows 😂

Mumof2studentnurse · 07/08/2025 12:08

@Incognitoburrito88 Yeah it is hard. I think people dont understand that we are not sitting on our bums eating cakes and watching the weight fall off. I'm really changing my lifestyle. Before April, I would never have got up and gone for a walk for no reason - but now, I look forward to that walk...or at least, I look forward to how good i feel after the walk :)

I think i read on this thread, and I have experienced the same thing, before mounjaro, If I would have had a day when I had eaten more than I planned, I would have stopped the diet there and then - but now, I am able to pull myself back in and get myself back on track much faster.

Im just so desperate to get into the 15stone bracket - its always been one of my goals whenever I've tried to lose weight - i've not been in that bracket for close to a decade, so it will be an achievement when that happens. So i am hoping over the next 2/3 weeks that it happens :)

Squiffy01 · 07/08/2025 16:55

@Mumof2studentnurse have you lost 73lbs since 9th April??? 😱

Mumof2studentnurse · 07/08/2025 17:20

@Squiffy01 Yes, I started on April 9th, but i had...and still have lots to lose.

Squiffy01 · 07/08/2025 19:52

That is an incredible amount!!! Well done.

blanketsnuggler · 07/08/2025 20:17

ok. So I've just taken my first dose of 7.5.
I started at the beginning of April, and did 1 month of 2.5, then have been on 5 ever since. Lately though the effects have been less so I thought I'd go up.
I do have side effects from the MJ. I feel very nauseous after taking a dose which is why I stuck on 5mg for so long.

But oh my god, just the smell of it made me feel icky tonight!

I'm away to Greece on holiday next week, for 2 weeks so am hoping this bigger dose will last a bit longer. I don't have anything planned for the next few days, so if I feel bad it's not the end of the world.

Does anyone else hate the smell of MJ?

Well done everyone on this thread for keeping on going. I wonder how much we have all lost in total?! Hard to imagine where all that weight has gone!!

MiamiMimi · 07/08/2025 20:25

Just checking in 🙂
week 16 for me

SW 13st 3lb
CW. 11st 10lb
TW. 10st

Some amazing losses on here! Well done everyone! I’m definitely part of the slow and steady club here, I’d be very happy with losing a little quicker but as long as it’s coming off I’m happy, I’ve certainly lost more than I would be able to on my own so I’m very grateful for that.

Mumof2studentnurse · 07/08/2025 20:29

I've never noticed the smell @blanketsnuggler, but i would say that I am more sensitive to some smells. Also to tastes. There are things I used to love and now I can't have them - garlic and tomato based sauces being the main things I dont like the smell or taste of anymore.

Hope you have a great holiday :)

Newmum110 · 07/08/2025 22:17

Only .5lb off this week but I think I'm definitely lucky to have that result. Sick children & upside-down routine threw me completely off. I need to learn how to manage these blips better, 3 days of non routine resulted in 5 days of no effort :-( back on the wagon now but can't afford to be repeating bad habits regularly.
Also need to move up to 12.5 but in Ireland 10 is the max available so looks like I'll have to dose up & forego the golden dose. A bit annoying but need the help. Can't believe that some April starters are still on 5, amazing willpower!!!!!

Im still on 5 and have zero will power! I'm a super-responder (I think) though. Suppression is so high I can barely eat for most of the week. Not losing much either any more.

RhaenysRocks · 08/08/2025 08:14

I'm still on 5 and losing slowly but surely. After my period I usually jump down about 2lb after a ten day plateau. On 12.7 now which is 2st off since April. 2 more to go, or 3 if I go for a properly healthy BMI but being short that feels like a v low weight for me and not one I've seen since my early 20s.
I find I can perfectly happily exist on 5mg with regular, quite samey food but im not missing anything or wishing I could have X. I'm not really on or off a wagon, this is just it now. I had a chocolate cro-nut thing yesterday from Lidl bakery because I just fancied it but I rarely do now and dont want to rush out for another. I enjoyed it but that's all.
