Morning! W5 D7 here so weigh day and jab this evening. I'm on 2.5mg for my 2nd pen. Lost 1.4lbs this week taking me to 10.6lbs total loss. Can't believe I'm starting week 6 tomorrow! Overall I'm a slow (ish) loser but as long as those numbers are dropping over the course of the month I'm happy!

SW 16st (101.7kg)
CW 15st 3.4lbs (96.8kg)

I'm recovering from surgery so not able to walk and exercise much however this week I have started using weights for a short 15min blast at home, done 2 lots this week and it felt good so my aim this week is to increase it to 3 times.

Andrasa · 04/07/2025 09:52

End of week three coming up on Sunday and so far I’ve lost 8lbs! Already fitting back into my jeans a bit better so much more comfortable going out.

felt a bit sick after eating a whole plate of pasta the other night but otherwise no side effects.

Quay · 04/07/2025 09:56

W3D1
Just taken my third dose. Overall I’ve lost half a stone - very pleased with that.

SW 12 st 1
CW 11 st 8
GW 9 st 7

still making my mind up whether to go up to 5mg or stick at 2.5mg … I demolished a whole tube of Pringles the other day! Didn’t even touch the sides!! 🤭 On the upside I made a delicious courgette and potato soup (BBC Good Foods App) and it solved my constipation in a very good way! 😂

W5D5 for me... I'm another of the daily weigher gang.

SW overall: 119.9kg (18st 12.3) - Lost 5lbs on my own.
SW pre-MJ: 117.6kg (18st 7.3)
CW: 110.8kg (17st 6.3)
GW: 93kg (14st 11) - initially, then review.

MJ loss so far: 15.1lbs, overall 20.1lbs.

Over my first stone on MJ!! 🎉 And in touching distance of 1.5st overall. Really happy with how it's going. Moving up to 3.75mg for the next couple of weeks ahead of making the 5mg decision.

NSV: had a pair of jeans on on Sunday, and have a photo in them 3 months ago to the same date. The difference was wild. Put the photos together and it really have me a boost.

Have my first proper night out tomorrow night, so will be interesting to see how it impacts hangover-wise. I do plan to take it easier than usual mind you.

Yay well done!

Let us know how the hangover goes. I'm out for the first time in a couple of weeks and don't want to be silly drunk if MJ has that effect but also want to let my hair down and celebrate the occassion as it's been a long and tough year!

Whatanidiot123 · 04/07/2025 12:34

@FattyBumBum17 I am telling no one, not even my husband.
I am not obese and there’s a huge backlash against folks who are being prescribed off licence but a medical professional was happy to prescribe for me based on my need to lose weight. It’s been brilliant as I was really struggling with sugar addiction, cravings, fatigue, brain fog, belly fat, and all those things are melting away. I feel like I’ve broken an addiction to sugar.

On my period which usually comes with bloating, pain, stomach upset and non of those have appeared. It is majorly heavy though. I also seem to have carried on losing weight. I am half a stone down now in 2.5 weeks. I can see and feel the difference.

FattyBumBum17 · 04/07/2025 12:38

@Whatanidiot123 I considered not telling anyone tbh but I was wary about maybe getting ill with the injection and no one would know why, if that makes sense! Anyway hubby knows and is very supportive so all is good. Well done on the weight loss so far, who knew an injection could give us a boost in so many ways! 😊

Puffalicious · 04/07/2025 13:23

Similarly to lots of you I'm keeping if very quiet- DP & sister only. Don't want to worry my older sons (they'd question it) & both best friends are naturally slim, think I don't have 'that much to lose' (2 more stone which has stuck like glue since peri/meno) & are suspicious of 'putting stuff in your body'.

My sister hasn't told a soul except me. When she mooted it to her daughter months ago she reacted very badly. Sister at target after 3 months (2 stone off), is coming off & no-one any the wiser. It's no-one's business if you don't want it to be.

My advice is take it easy on the alcohol after how I am feeling today… I have had a few nights out and been fine. Last night I had a couple of pints with DH in the sunshine and then half a bottle of Prosecco after the kids were in bed and have felt pretty awful today! We had some spicy chicken kebabs for dinner which have been making me burp ever since which is not something I usually do so not sure if it’s an MJ effect.

Or maybe the MJ is making me feel off after my 6th jab yesterday. I am out tonight for dinner and the theatre and supposed to be out for a friend’s birthday tomorrow but really not feeling it right now!

wk2 day 6 feeling meh!! Had a great first week but this week I’ve wanted to eat and no movement weight wise 😞 I feel like I have food noise albeit a whisper for now but not much suppression . Really hoping my next dose gives a boost my willpower is stretching hoping I can hold out till Sunday 🙏🏻

I think if you eat a lot of fatty stuff or drink alcohol, you're going to feel ill so that is helpful when it comes to motivation.

Hey, good to know. I've had a few nights out but haven't gone over 4 proseccos. I don't plan on hitting it too hard tomorrow either but it's a diff type of night out so who knows. The aim is to eat beforehand too and not eat crap after ☺️. Will keep you posted. Hope you feel better soon!

I have at least been successful on the no snacking with drinking and no eating crap the next day for the past 5 weeks so MJ is helping on those former weaknesses!

SnackcidentProne · 04/07/2025 15:54

Also going to have a few drinks tonight. Planning to up my carbs slightly at dinner. Going to go for an extra gym session shortly as well. Hoping I’m good tomorrow.

nailslikeknives · 04/07/2025 16:01

Oh dear, I’ve had a NSFU.
I ‘treated’ myself to my first Costa frappe since starting, now on W4D6.
Baaaad idea. I only managed half a small one, no cream, syrup etc, before stomach cramps started. It didn’t even taste like it used to.

I don’t know whether to be pleased my desire for that treat has completely gone or gutted!!! It was how I used to treat myself if I was in town with no kids, so probably about 6 a year max.
Buggeration!!

What a NSFU ?
Not keen on all these abbreviations as i have no idea what any of them mean

nailslikeknives · 04/07/2025 16:36

NSV is non scale victory
NSFU is non scale fuck up. I made that one up, it’s not on the official list 😁

Xmasfairy86 · 04/07/2025 16:41

Popped on the scale ahead of official weigh in for me which is Saturday and have gained a kilo ish this week. Suppression is fading and period is due. Not sure whether these come hand in hand but the urge to snack is back recently. I have upped the gym so not taking it too badly… internally I am devastated 😂😂

Gettingfitorbust · 04/07/2025 16:48

It’ll be because of your period. Give it a few days

Catladyof7 · 04/07/2025 16:55

I am sticking to 1000 /1200 calories per day .
If i fancy something sweet i just take that into account now .
Last night i had 10 dark chocolate buttons , any other time i would have eaten the whole bag , had some more sweets and probably ice cream as well .
That was only 134 calories as a treat .

3rd injection is Sunday of 2.5mg.
My next pen is the 5mg which will be here next week .

What i was going to do was take the usual 2.5 mg on Sunday , then another 2.5. on Wednesday or Thursday next week, then the golden dose Sunday . That means 5mg next week in preparation for starting the 5mg the following Sunday .

This weather makes me not want to cook though , but i am planning on having a curry tomorrow but only half the pack instead of the usual whole container and then the other half Sunday .
Next week will do an online shop for more salad stuff again .
I have scales now too

Catladyof7 · 04/07/2025 16:56

Still have 3 stone to lose

The scales can fluctuate so much. I weighed myself after work yesterday at 4.30 and again at 11pm. I had drunk so much water during the day that by my second weigh in I was 1kg lighter.

Still have 3 stone to lose

Years ago i lost 3.5 stones. I kept a graph and every month without fail I didn’t lose when I got my period, but it always came off the following week. So keep that in your head and ride it out….

Sogfree · 04/07/2025 18:10

W4D2

I've only lost 6lb since I started, but my clothes feel like they're hanging off me.

Big night out tonight. Really not wanting a drink. This is just unheard of for me! The appetite suppression I can only liken to an ongoing heartache.

Too old for them now .
I am nearly 69 .

Haha, I hid mine behind the cans of Pepsi max in the fridge which incidentally I can’t seem to drink anymore!

Mine is under the cheese. I’m lactose intolerant 🤣🤣🤣
