Week 5 for me too, I've just jabbed. Gone up to 5mg as the suppression is definitely wearing off. It's been doable but I've definitely had to use my willpower, I'm not struggling to eat at all, but don't want to overeat if that makes sense.

7.9lbs off in a month, so hoping going up will result in another dip. 3 weeks to go until a big event for me, and then 4 days after that we go on holiday, so fingers crossed.

I'm hoping the headaches and tiredness aren't too bad this time around, last week they were awful the first couple of days.

MissMogs · 30/06/2025 12:34

Week 3 day 1 for me, although technically not because I have been bringing the day forward each week so started on a Wed, took 2nd jab on a Tues, and 3rd jab today. Hoping this will mean I can take the 1st jab of 5mg a few days before I do a driving holiday in case of nasty side effects! Still not 100% sure it’s the best idea to increase, but I haven’t had much suppression and haven’t had noticeable side effects so would like to try. Very interested to hear how you all get on who are increasing for your second pens!

ShesRunningOutTheDoor · 30/06/2025 12:49

W4D4 I’m 5kg down and look less puffy for sure. Drank loads on Saturday (as family party) but hasn’t affected scales - well my weight didn’t increase anyway.

My first period has arrived since starting jabs and significantly less PMT for sure.

My first 4 weeks on 2.5mg were great, no SE whatsoever, suppression good except days 5 and 6 when it slightly decreased and I started to feel a tad hungry so week 5 I decided to take the 5mg and oh my goodness, I felt nauseous for the first 5 days and had to force myself to eat then days 5 & 6 I felt ok but suppression decreased again. This week I went back to 2.5mg as I feel as though I wasn't getting anything more from 5mg except the unwanted nausea. Took a 2.5mg jab on Saturday morning and I've been fine, good suppression and back to no nausea. Just my experience of moving up, good luck with whatever you decide on your journey 😊

Oh no that sounds miserable! I’m worried I’m pushing my luck and really hope I don’t have the same!

So by your own admission you've tried, Saxenda, Ozempic and mounjaro? None have worked for you so you're on here telling us its "a waste of money, dont throw away your big clothes, stop eating" what a little ray of sunshine you are. Had any of those worked for you it would have been a different story.

Morning, I used these: https://ukmedi.co.uk/products/fms-micro-syringe-32g-8mm-1ml-fms-fms-32g-10ml-ukmedi-co-uk

The pen does lock after 60 clicks so to extract the 5th you'd need these. You would be within the 30 days, as it would be day 28 from when you first used the pen.

Are these the smallest needle length as they look so big compared to the ones given with the pens ? Not keen on big needles ! 😄

Does anybody have a medexpress discount code, or a discount code for any other supplier?

I used PillSorted for my first order and got £40 off, but my second order only gives me £20 off and I want to find cheaper 🤣

I have a £50 voucher for Voy

Probably sounding stupid here .
If the pen locks after 60 clicks.
How many 3.5mg can i get from a 5mg pen ?
When the pen goes back to 0 every time, how does it know 60 clicks have been done ?
I want to go up on my next pen , but slowly and use a 5 mg for 3.5 doses.
Thanks

W2D7 I’ve got my 4th jab due tomorrow and have weighed today and I’m thrilled to finally be under 13st!!! I’m sure the weight loss won’t last, but really pleased so far, even if I have had a bit of a wobble with all the news scare stories 😵‍💫

SW 13st 10lbs
CW 12 st 13lbs
GW 10st

No side effects this week apart from slight constipation, an extra coffee seems to do the trick though

FoxRedPuppy · 30/06/2025 15:33

5x4 =20, so 20 divided by 3.5 = 5.7. So you could do 5 weeks worth of 3.5mg.

But doesnt the pen only allow 4 doses ? Then locks ?

I think it allows the equivalent of 4 x 60 clicks.

I don’t know the answer for certain, as I haven’t done it. But I know people have done it for at least 4 doses of 3.5. 3.75mg would mean the same full amount over 4 weeks.

I'm not sure tbh, someone recommended them on a thread. I did it last night and it didn't feel much different. The photos make it look bigger than they are.

Mynewusersame · 30/06/2025 18:12

I saw a post on Reddit where someone had tested/counted all theirs pens and they locked after 250-260 total clicks. So enough for 60x4 (240) plus some extra clicks for priming (10-20).
I’m planning to use my 5mg pen to do 5 doses of 2.5mg (150 clicks in total within 30 days) or can move up to 3.75mg (which would be 45clicks x 5 = 225 clicks).

Hi
I have lost 10lb in four weeks and took my extra left over last night as my fifth dose before I start the 5mg pen in the fridge. It drew 0.7 but once I primed it went to 0.6.5 so not much different. I am very happy with 10lb. Clothes fitting better and I feel better too.

I did find a qualified GP on YT last night by accident who has lost 50lb on Mounjaro. She said a couple of things that shed a bit of light on things you hear on here a lot. Firstly, the 2.5mg isn't a therapeutic dose ONLY if you are using it as the drug was intended for diabetes. If you are using it for suppressing appetite it is therapeutic.

She went on to say that if 2.5mg is working for you stay on it. Don't risk side effects by moving up unnecessarily. She lost 50lbs on 2.5mg
Only move up if the suppression is coming back. That makes sense to me about the therapeutic dose as I did wonder why it wouldn't be if it worked for so many people.

Some great losses again, have a fab week! For anyone interested m.youtube.com/@Emmaanders

She’s fantastic. I ordered a 5mg pen and really wish I hadn’t. But her comment you should feel hungry and manage that and stop eating when you are satiated made sense. Thinking of doing 3.75mg to see how I get on.

Midlifecrisis765 · 30/06/2025 18:39

Just starting week 3 and the appetite suppression is crazy (alongside the heat). I’ve hardly eaten anything today but did have some coke as I was worried about sugar levels (from everything I’ve read on others).

I will not be moving to 5mg any time soon and I wonder if 2.5mg is too strong for me. I just feel a bit sick and not hungry at all.

Any tips, i am a bit worried that not eating isn’t sustainable.

SomethingAboutYou · 30/06/2025 18:58

Boliviabae · 30/06/2025 12:09

What day did you feel appetite suppression.

I am on day 2 after first dose. I havent felt any suppression yet

Depends what type of suppression. I'm ond w5 d3 (stayed on 2.5mg) and I still get hungry, usually around mealtimes. Snacking has reduced but I can be famished some mealtimes. And the odd snack still gets eaten here and there. I was scared of the hunger for a while but I've embraced it and have lost 9lbs in the first month.

Where I've had the best 'suppression' is in my constant need for food or sweet stuff. This morning I went shopping and my head thought it might want chocolate, had a word with myself to say I can have chocolate if I want some, as long as I don't go overboard. Stood in front of the chocolate aisle, looking at everything and ended up not buying any as I didn't fancy anything! And then the best bit....forgot all about it until now and writing about it isn't sending me mad cravings. I can just forget about it. Pre jab I was the type that can't have nutella in the cupboard as it just sings to me constantly and I end up eating a jar with a spoon unable to control myself.

Booklover2021 · 30/06/2025 19:03

Jabbed Friday, have a red patch on my thigh where I injected, a bit like a reaction to a bite. Anyone had similar?

Whatanidiot123 · 30/06/2025 19:08

I don’t really fancy going up to 5mg but appetite suppression could definitely be increased. I’ve been starving all day but trying to make sure I am eating the same as other days. I seem to have had good suppression on day 1-4 and it wears off for 5/6/7. Wk2D6 today so I have a week to decide before I order my next pen. I did read a guide somewhere that said from w3 you tend to find the effects last the whole week as levels stabilize.

I think it’s easy to conflate total appetite suppression with success though, when actually you just want to quieten the food noise enough to eat at a rate that allows for sustainable weight loss and not to stop eating or enjoying food altogether!

So far I think I’m around 6-7lb down in 2 weeks which isn’t bad. I’d be really happy with 10lb in the first month.

I feel super spaced out after jab 4 today!
