I had that too. On week six of 5mg I am finally getting through to the other side of it, so keep going!

This gives me hope. W5 of 5mg for me and it's turning into a bit of a slog. Just feeling meh all the time and really not liking it. Was having a crisis of confidence this morning and considering whether it's all worth it.

Scousebloke · 26/06/2025 20:25

@PumpKim
When i feel like that i have a peep at the threads were the posters have been on it for 6 + months. The way our lot are most around the stone to stone and a half mark some of them are like 4 stone lost. It makes it seem worth it to keep going.

TwistedKeys · 26/06/2025 21:30

The diarrhoeas has caught up with me! I’m week 8 day 6. Didn’t feel like breakfast this morning and rather than having lunch I ended up on the loo! I’ve had some pasta for dinner and I’m hoping that this afternoon was a one off! I went up to 5mg on Saturday and I’d thought I had managed to swerve any side effects.

Coventree · 27/06/2025 07:08

Wow there are some amazing holidays coming up! Can’t wait to hear all about them.

Hope you feel better soon @TwistedKeys

@PumpKim sorry to hear things are tough. Is it ‘just’ the tiredness or other SEs too? Are you able to hit protein and calories targets with what you’re eating in a day? Hope it lifts for you soon 🤞

Well done @Crunchymum, ye of little faith! It really is happening!

@Brunocatmon I haven’t noticed any loose skin as yet (at 2st loss). Remind me how much you’ve lost in total/are you able to do much exercise? Isn’t it strange how we all have differing physical changes - no ‘one size fits all’ for weight loss and how bodies react to that! I hope your body catches up and smoothes out the loose skin a bit.

i just wish I could 💩 a bit more (incidentally, has anyone noticed how the 💩 icon doesn’t show in your recently used emojis, like it’s protecting our delicate sensibilities?!). Despite the figs and the bio-kult (only just got that though so need to give it time), it still comes back to the nuclear option of two dulcolax with a slightly game of chicken re detonation to bring any short-lived relief. Oh well, it’s manageable in the big scheme of things. I got a great exercise plan from physio yesterday for strengthening my dodgy knee and am buying an exercise bike from a friend later today, so I am going to kickstart my exercise regime as I don’t really have one beyond walking the dog 💪

Well done for all the NSVs and the losses, whether slow or fast - it all counts! We’re marching into the weekend, with July on the horizon, and just think how far we’ve all come since that first late April injection 👏👏👏. You’re amazing!

Seahawk80 · 27/06/2025 07:36

@PumpKimis your period due? I felt like it was all pointless and I just wanted to eat all the food the week before!

@Coventree thanks for the motivation and good luck with the physio! If you do the exercises religiously it should really help. I went from constant pain and not trusting my leg to bear weight after DS 2 was born to being fine in about 8 weeks with physio!

@Sheldon4k sounds amazing! Have you been to that part of the world before? Those are some of my favourite places! And the best food!! Malaysian food is a bit more rice but in Vietnam I found most food quite light and healthy like pho and summer rolls and banh cuo. So as the MJ levels go down the food should get healthier if Vietnam is last! Also it will be v hot so I find I’m not so hungry and don’t want things like chocolate/ cake etc.

Sheldon4k · 27/06/2025 08:05

@Seahawk80we have spent a fair amount of time in Malaysia (KL & west coast) but never Borneo or Vietnam. And yes Vietnam is last.

I must agree with the heat making you feel less like eating, but sadly that means I snack on the likes of Roti and Apam Balik all day 😂😂. I will be asking for ais Kacangs (naked).. cant go wrong with just ice 😂.

We went to Khao Yai in Thailand last year as part of a SE Asia trip and being in the rainforest was the highlight of the trip for the kids. Thats why we decided to do Borneo this year. I just added on a week before to include Perhentian and a week at the end to test out Vietnam.

PeachSnail · 27/06/2025 08:05

Are you feeling any better yet @GeraniumRoseblush? Really hoping you'll be ok for your holiday tomorrow!

So sorry to hear you've been struck down with the dreaded squits too @TwistedKeys. Take care and really hope it clears up for you soon 🫶

I came across a thread with loads of people posting very similar experiences... So even though it's really awful, it does appear to be somewhat normal. Hope that can give you a bit of comfort whilst camping out in the loo (it can feel like a very lonely place!)

Here's a link to the thread: https://www.mumsnet.com/talk/weight-loss-injections/5361320-awful-side-effects-all-of-a-sudden?utm_campaign=thread&utm_medium=app_share

Awful side effects all of a sudden. | Mumsnet

I started Mounjaro in April and increased the dose as recommended each month. All ok, a bit of constipation but manageable and steady weightloss. Due...

GeraniumRoseblush · 27/06/2025 09:23

@PeachSnail Randomly it stopped yesterday 🤷‍♀️ no idea why or what the difference was. Makes me a bit nervous that it might randomly reappear but at least I know what to expect if it reoccurs and that I'm not dying 🤣

Meant to have jab 9 this morning but haven't taken it and may style it out for the few days I'm away and then restart later next week once I'm back. In the meantime, I have boxes of immodium in my luggage 😅

Thanks so much for the thread link, I'll definitely have a read.

@TwistedKeys sorry to hear you're also suffering. Its so weird isn't it, after weeks without any issues 🤷‍♀️

BonnieClydeSW15 · 27/06/2025 10:19

Hi all! Just checking in to let you know I’m still here and reading all your amazing posts to keep me going! Been a rough few weeks but it’s W10 today and I’m hanging in! Have hit plateau and need to start increasing the exercise but am just too tired - work & life clashing!!
Thank you for keeping on & being so positive! 😁

violetmondays · 27/06/2025 11:15

Checking in for my end of wk 9 weigh in - have lost another 2lb this week - that brings me to 22lb loss. I thought it was going to be more as I weighed a bit less earlier in the week but seems to have levelled up slightly.

Did another 3.75 this morning and decided not to wait until after my travel this weekend and just hoping side effects are less as this is my 5th 3.75 dose. I am going to stay on this dose until the weight loss slows down.

I have also just realised that I am now half way to target which is very exciting 😍

@Sheldon4k your trip sounds incredible! Please report back after.

Great loss @ellieinfrance and fingers crossed you hit the 2 stone this week!

Sending positive vibes to all those feeling poorly, hope you feel better soon @TwistedKeys
@GeraniumRoseblush good idea to delay for a few days until you're feeling better.
@toobusytoclean @Coffeeandallthebooks @BonnieClydeSW15 hang in there - it will resume!

Have a great weekend everyone!

Zebracat · 27/06/2025 12:20

Hi,I’m home after 3 days at the seaside. Icecream every day and fish and chips but I lost a kilo. I can hardly believe it, but Dh has pointed out that I also ate small meals, swam every day, walked miles and ran around after children. Not so bad. The gouts back though. I feel like I should see a doctor but I’m a bit worried they will say I should stop the mounjaro. I feel so much better in every other way.

Crazycatknitter92 · 27/06/2025 13:24

So I bit the bullet today and had the conversation with my partner. I asked him how he felt about the injections and if I was to start taking them. He was really supportive to be fair which I was surprised at as he usually gets worried about these things.
He has noticed ive lost some weight over the last couple of weeks and has been really supportive of my journey so far. I told him I had started taking them and he said he was glad I had told him about it and that he will help me any way he can.
I've asked him to just make sure that my Moods don't get affected by it as I suffer with bad depression and anxiety already which seem to be under control at the moment.

Im glad ive told him now as it was really stressing me out not telling him something so important to me

Zebracat · 27/06/2025 16:51

Well done @Crazycatknitter92 . I’m glad he was supportive. You will have someone to talk about it to now.

PumpKim · 27/06/2025 17:45

@Coventree I've been really tired, had some diarrhea and suppression has been too high. Just been generally feeling unwell and wanting to feel myself again.

Having said all that I've been perfectly fine all day today so fingers crossed I've turned a corner 🤞

PoisonIvy89 · 27/06/2025 21:40

Wow some great losses, well done everyone! apologies there's too many to catch up on properly

@Hawkmoth Me too on the enjoying exercise, I hate exercise, this is very weird!!!

@Coventree I've been struggling with the constipation too, dulcolax stopped working even 2 a day was doing nothing and the unpredictability of the eventual explosion was giving me anxiety so I tried the glycerine option, very effective and works in ten minutes so no waiting for 24 hours hoping it'll work but hoping I'm home when it does. they are gross and slimy though 😂
This week has been better, I think the kiwis hairy skin and all are starting to work

Scousebloke · 28/06/2025 05:58

End of week 10 today so a visit to the scales. Lost 2lb this week making a total of 1 stone 12 lb. Happy with that and a chance to hit 2 stone by next week.
Jab 11 tonight, staying on 5mg.

Coventree · 28/06/2025 09:01

Well done @Scousebloke!

Fingers crossed it stays that way for you @PumpKim🤞

I do have some glycerine suppositories @PoisonIvy89 (totally agree they are weirdly gross and slimy!) but I tend find they’re only effective if the 💩 is ready to evacuate (I’m so sorry everyone 🤣), whereas if it’s all still hidden away, they don’t seem to shift much. I was given an oral glycerine solution in my second pregnancy (still totally blaming my first difficult delivery for causing this problem) and just the thought of that makes me gag, but we’re getting into desperate measures now…

But thank you for the reminder, I shall go and give a suppository a go just in case…and on that lovely note, have a fab weekend all!

SassyLimeHelper · 28/06/2025 10:13

Hi all! Happy weekend and well done on the losses this week - it's the end of week 9 for me and it's a maintain for me! I have had 2 takeaways and been out for 2 meals, so I'm absolutely not surprised (more surprised it wasn't a gain to be honest!). I tried to be mindful with the choices I did have, and split one Indian meal into 3 portions, but I knew it wouldn't be enough to get a loss this week.
I've just done jab 10 at 3.75mg and will be staying at this dose for the next pen - works out pretty economically if I can get 5 doses plus the golden dose from each pen.
So I'm still stuck at 24lb off, hoping to reach 2 stone by the time I go on holiday in 4 weeks!

Zebracat · 28/06/2025 10:16

Good morning on day 1 of week 10. I am 94.3 today, so .8 kilo lost despite the McFlurry. It was a small one though!

Coventree · 28/06/2025 11:22

Good work @Zebracat and @SassyLimeHelper with navigating hols and takeaways! 👏

Ricoletti · 28/06/2025 12:45

Happy weekend everyone! Some fab losses, and always happy to talk poop with you all 🤣🤣

The scales have finally shifted! I’ve lost 2 lb this week, hurray 🥳🥳🥳

Brunocatmon · 28/06/2025 17:35

I've just landed in Spain for a week and I was supposed to jab today. Shit.

Wish me luck.

PoisonIvy89 · 28/06/2025 17:56

@Coventree I had put off trying them because I thought it would only work for the near the exit stuff and not for higher up stuff, if that makes any sense, I should just be an adult and use factual medical terms but eww icky 😂
I've been eating lots of kiwis and dates and prunes and flaxseed and things have improved this week, I've pooped twice without medical intervention! I was getting quite concerned last week. Hope you get some movement soon 💩

Well done @Scousebloke @Zebracat @Ricoletti Great losses!!

Good luck @Brunocatmon, have a great week away!

Jab 9 done this morning and weigh in day for me. I was very happy with a 4.2lb loss this week. Total loss so far is 24.6lbs, half a lb away from next stone bracket, hopefully I'll hit that next week.

wlinewbie0425 · 28/06/2025 21:02

Well done @PoisonIvy89@Ricoletti@Scousebloke@Zebracat@violetmondaysand everyone else on this week’s losses.

Did you forget @Brunocatmonrather than planning a week off? I would just try to make good choices but don’t limit yourself too much on holiday. If it’s only a week you will still have quite a lot of Mounjaro in your system the whole time by this stage, it’s not a drug you can go cold turkey on as it takes so long to fully leave your system. So you aren’t totally without its support, looking at my dose diary graph if I skipped my next jab I would still have 1.4mg in my system 7 days after the missed jab! (I’m on 5mg). I think a lot of people think it’s gone in 5 days - it’s not, for every dose it’s halved in 5, quartered in 10 etc and some is still with you ages after the jab.

Great you were able to talk to your partner @Crazycatknitter92that must be a weight off having it out in the open and knowing he supports you.

despite rationally knowing it was normal to have slow months, my scales sticking to the same couple of pounds for several weeks was getting me down. My woosh finally came today and I’m over 4lb down from my Wednesday weigh in! It’s so strange how non-linear loss is, the previous 4lb took most of the month. I hope that others who are feeling they’ve hit a difficult spell on this are able to push past it soon.

@toobusytoclean that’s the exact same fat that’s melted away for me. It was the last to go on - I’ve never carried weight there until recent years and I’m sure it’s perimenopausal. I feel much more like myself without it even with a fair bit still to lose in my more normal places (bum and thighs).

Ahh OK thank you. Yes I forgot to take it. Im only on 2.5 but im going to try my best.
