I had missed this thread previously. Started on 24th April and currently 25 pound down which I’m more than pleased with. I have a lot more to lose.

PumpKim · 29/06/2025 09:33

Official weigh day today. 1.8lb down, 17.9lb overall.
Been feeling more myself since my whinge earlier in the week. I did the extra dose from my 5mg pen, purely financial decision, but was pleased to find it easy to do. Still getting a reaction at the injection site, but less than last time so hopefully that will eventually stop altogether.

My only issue now is I'm not eating enough so I'm concerned about nutrient deficiencies. I need to get more organised with lunches both at home and work. Sometimes I'll go right until tea time with not much more than an apple 😬

Coventree · 29/06/2025 09:52

Great work @Ricoletti, @PoisonIvy89 (one day, we shall 💩 like champions!), @wlinewbie0425, @wendywoopywoo222, and @PumpKim(but seriously, eat some food ❤️). Love hearing how we’re overcoming the bumps in the road and keeping going to success, no matter how big or small 🌟.

My new exercise regime is starting well - up at 7 this morning (I wake early so might as well do something with the time instead of scrolling). Did my physio exercises, 5 mins on the exercise bike I bought from a friend yesterday (sounds a feeble attempt but it’s a starting point to build up from), and then walked the dog before it gets too hot 💪

Ricoletti · 29/06/2025 13:13

That’s great to hear you are managing some exercise @Coventree, I’m trying to be inspired but I’m just soooo tired, mainly from my mad stressful job, and I’m always super busy on weekends (caring responsibilities an hours drive away) so I’m finding it hard to fit in.

every now and then I will wake up early and have energy but it’s so rare!

I really need to try and build small bits of exercise in to my week.

Welcome!!

I started on 26th April and am 21lbs down. Still not even half way there. Want to lose 4st overall.

How have you found it so far? What dose are you on now?

bridgetreilly · 29/06/2025 15:40

2 stone! It’s been hovering around that for a while and finally ducked under today.

Have you considered a really good quality multivitamin? I take one every day so I know I’m getting better what I need even on days when I lm not eating very well x

What multivitamin do you take out of interest?

I’m taking these ones at the moment. They did 10% off deal when I bought them.
I read a few articles about good all rounder supplements and these were mentioned as good for quality and bioavailability.

Anyone use med express?
I’ve heard about the ‘price match’ they do, but I can’t work out how to do it! Any pointers?

I’ve decided to stay with them, as I can’t be bothered with the faffing about with changing providers , but the price isn’t as competitive now I’m on my third (ready to order 4th) pen …..

Yes but it’s not a true price match. You have to order and pay at the normal price which is not competitive, and then within 7 days submit evidence for a price match (they inkt accept this for certain other providers) . They then add credit for the difference plus £5 to your account. You would then get that off the next pen. A bit disingenuous to call it a price match as it isn’t for the pen you are actually buying then.

As a new customer with them you can always get £40 off from another customers codes. That does make the price fairly competitive if not the cheapest. They are only meant to be shared with real friends and family now but they are online all over. If you know someone who has used/uses them then ask for their code so at least it’s someone you know who gets the other £40 credit.

@Ricoletti I also couldn’t be bothered, did first 3 pens with them, and was worried about being under 30 BMI now but honestly I ended up changing to Chemist4u as it was so much cheaper, and it was really not much more effort - just a few quick extra photos.

Also @Ricoletti I just found the link to their price match policy (as I shared it with a friend before…) no longer works so perhaps they’ve changed it and that’s why your couldn’t find on their website. https://support.medexpress.co.uk/hc/en-gb/articles/20395961330717-Price-Match-Policy

their T&C still mention it and list the pharmacies they will recognise…

I'm far too hot. Every year when summer arrives I say this is the last summer I will be hot and fat and sweaty, by next summer I'll have lost weight and summer won't be so hard. This year I really mean it. I meant it when I said it every other time too but I really really mean it this time 😂

Welcome @wendywoopywoo222 , great loss so far well done!

@bridgetreilly 2st award for you, well done 🏆

@Coventree well done on getting some exercise in! some days I only manage to do a ten minute walk, but I have consistently done some intentional exercise every day for six weeks and it is making a difference. good luck!

@Ricoletti haven't tried them but have used WePrescribe and Chemist4U and both were quick and easy

Lidlbitofmonica · 30/06/2025 08:10

Help me folks……the sulphur burps have hit and it’s awful. Took my second dose of 7.5mg on Friday and I’ve been lucky so far without many side effects except constipation, but I’ve had that under control until now.
ive probably been a bit lax on the fruit and veg over the weekend, and eaten slightly worse, but Ooft, I’m paying for it now. My stomach is a bubbling cesspit of rage, and I’ve been up all night burping. So apparently food is fermenting in my stomach, that’s lovely….
How do I get rid of this? I have some dulocolax but am terrified to try it as read too many horror stories. I need to be in the office tomorrow without an exploding arse. Any tips from anyone who has conquered these would be much appreciated!

PeachSnail · 30/06/2025 08:25

Morning all 👋
Weigh-in day for me

W10 D1

SW 87.65kg
CW 79.1kg
GW 65kg

Weight lost this week: 0.6kg (1.3lbs)

Total weight lost: 8.55kg (1 stone 5lbs)

It's also jab day for me... I'm gently increasing my dosage after a bad SE episode. I did 2.67mg last week so I think I'll increase to approximately 3mg today. Fingers crossed 🤞

I feel that I'm definitely more of a plodder in terms of weight loss... But I think I need to make peace with that as someone who has to stick to lower doses due to being quite sensitive to MJ 🐌🐌🐌

i have have had a few issues like this when I ate greasy foods after going uk to 5ml, thankfully didn’t reach the sulphur burp stage tho.

Antacids were helpful. I used gaviscon and rennies… lots of rennies! And plenty of water.

I’m also melting! This is the last summer @PoisonIvy89… next year we will be floating about cool as a cucumber.
you can do this!! Plenty of water and sit near a fan xx

Thanks, I will take a look. I’m sure they make it overly complicated so we don’t bother to price match 🤦🏻‍♀️

wendywoopywoo222 · 30/06/2025 08:56

Thanks for my welcomes. I’m still on 2.5 and planning on staying on that as long as it’s working. Very fortunately haven’t had any bad side effects. I have completely gone off anything sweet which is completely alien to me. Has anyone else had that ? Still quite a few stone to go to get out of the obese bmi but so happy I’m going the right way.

dozywelshbird · 30/06/2025 09:05

I'm a plodder too @PeachSnail it is very frustrating seeing how much seems to be melting off others, I've lost another 1lb this week (was showing 2lbs on sat - humph) which brings me to 15lbs in 9 weeks, I am happy I am loosing but its an expensive way to do it.

I still don't really understand how its working in my system as last week I felt I had very little suppression compared to other weeks so wondering if that means I need to up to 7.5mg which is a PITA as I have a 5mg pen in the fridge - I wonder if for this week if I supplement my 5mg with my golden dose …I'll have to try and find some advice about dosage of golden dose, last time I did it I got 0.60 out so need to work out what that is on top of 5mg

Keep plodding on @PeachSnail we can do this 😄
