@Sheldon4k I’m about to do the same 5th 3.75 dose this week so interested to know whether the pen will work or not.

toobusytoclean · 25/06/2025 18:44

Another Wednesday weigh in and absolutely nothing lost. So frustrating. To be fair I haven’t been as active in this hot weather, but I have been so careful with what I have been eating. Can’t even blame constipation this week.
So still not in the 1 stone club after 9 weeks 😔
unfortunately with She Med they decide when I go up a dose, but hopefully they will let me go up to 7.5mg in 2 weeks time.
sorry for the doom and gloom, but I really need to get past this plateau so I don’t bail on the whole thing. It’s been a lot of money for not much progress so far.
seeing some friends tomorrow, the first group know I’m on MJ, the friend I’m seeing in the evening doesn’t. Hopefully some positive comments will help me remember that my body has changed even if the scales are my enemy right now.

Sheldon4k · 25/06/2025 18:13

Hi, well done on the losses. I'm with the plateau group, had a slight loss but not worth noting down! Im at the sticking point I have got to numerous times in the past on various diets.
I'm definitely in a cal defecit, been going to the gym regularly and drinking a fair bit of water (maybe not as much as in first few weeks where I felt constantly thirsty). So not sure what else to do.

Has anyone on here stayed on 3.75mg from their 5mg pen? I am due to take my 5th dose from the pen which is not the golden dose... it is actually the remainder of the 4 doses (ie the leftover 15 clicks from each dose). Just wondered if anyone has done the same and whether they were able to get the clicks as normal, or needed to use the syringe??

I’m the same for Sunday coming, not much change in the scales and definitely less thirsty

Undecided2025 · 25/06/2025 19:23

I’m going on holiday for 3 weeks and plan to take my remaining 3.75 dose a day early, and not take on holiday. I was going back and forward and didn’t want the stress of travelling with it, and want to see how I get on for the last 2 weeks of the hol with no jab.

Good evening jabbers.

Some amazing losses going o n in here. Well done everyone.

I have a question. So I've lost 2 stone so far and dropped a sz and a half clothes. But, the flabby skin is ridiculous. How do we deal with this? It's really getting me down. Im 58 so not as elastic as I used to be.

GeraniumRoseblush · 25/06/2025 20:48

Hi everyone 👋 I need help with the dreaded diarrhoea which has appeared out of nowhere after 7 weeks on the jab. Anyone else who's suffered- does it stop randomly too? Does it continue for weeks? What do I do to be able to function properly?

It's awful during the night and I'm off on holiday on Saturday 😳 I've hardly eaten anything since Monday morning as I'm too scared to make it worse and I have no idea what's triggered it as I'm hardly eating. It's nearly 4 days in and the thought of it continuing is horrendous. I'm also only on 2.5mg still so its not an increase in strength.

On the tiny plus side, I've lost 3lbs since Friday although this isn't how I want to be losing weight! Help, wise mumsnetters! 🙏

Coffeeandallthebooks · 25/06/2025 20:52

Well done everyone for losses and NSV's today. I think I may be in a bit of a plateau myself so sympathy to everyone grinding away, we will get through this!

@Undecided2025 good luck with your holiday, you've done so well so far, have a lovely time!

@Brunocat I don't know, that's a major concern for me too. I'm 44 and have been overweight always, and between 18 and 13 stone twice in the last 20 years. I have heard it takes skin 4-6 weeks to grow, so if you lose significant weight in that period it will be slightly too large. This will improve gradually once you reach goal and start maintenance. At least I really hope so! Other posters have recommended collagen to help as well?

I tried my first 5th dose with a syringe tonight and all went well, thank you so much to everyone who recommended medical grade syringes and dosage advice. I would not have tried it otherwise!

Aww... so sorry to hear you've been hit by the squits as well!

My bout was part of some other quite strong side effects (sulphur burps, nausea, fatigue) and I really struggled to eat anything much. The diahorrea was continual and lasted for 4 days and then suddenly stopped (like you, I had been beginning to worry it might last forever!).

I was monitoring the levels of MJ in my system via Shotsy and I think it stopped when the levels dropped to being more moderate. So... Fingers crossed it'll be the same for you.

I'd recommend letting your body recover a bit before doing your next jab. You could also consider doing a smaller dose? You can do this by counting the clicks (that's what I'm now doing).

Really hope you'll feel better by Saturday! Keep the fluids up and maybe try sipping some chicken broth to help keep your strength up ♥️

@PeachSnail sorry to hear you've suffered too. Do you think it was just the levels of MJ in your body? It gives me hope to hear yours stopped after 4 days as its a pretty bleak place at 4am on the loo! 😀 My level is only 1.91 now, I'm due to jab on Friday again but seriously considering not taking this week's jab and waiting until I get back from holiday to give my system a break.

PeachSnail · 25/06/2025 21:46

@GeraniumRoseblushyes - I think the levels in my system just proved too much for me (it came on after I'd done 4 weeks on 2.5mg, 1 week on 3mg and 2 weeks on 3.75mg). It was the first time I'd experienced side effects that severe.

See how you feel on Friday, but it sounds like it might be worth missing the jab and giving your body a break. You definitely deserve to enjoy your holiday and you can just pick things up again when you get back.

GeraniumRoseblush · 25/06/2025 21:57

@PeachSnail interesting yours was after 7 weeks too. I'm praying to the tummy gods that tonight is a better night 🙏🙏🙏

PeachSnail · 25/06/2025 22:04

@GeraniumRoseblush good luck! 🤞🫶

Sheldon4k · 25/06/2025 22:39

@violetmondays @Undecided2025 well I have just done the 5th 3.75 and it clicked round, no issues just like normal. There is definitely enough left for a golden dose too. (I am aware this would be out of the 30 days).

Im also contemplating taking it away on holiday or not. First theres the issue i mentioned a while back re keeping it to temp due to the latter part of the hol. Since going up to 3.75mg I just spend a lot of time tired so dont know whether to maybe take the break whilst away as its really not the kind of hol I will be chilling on (apart from a few days). I dont want my exhaustion to ruin the holiday for the rest of the family when we have so much planned.

I planned on taking it until I could no longer keep it cool, then have the last week without but due to me not moving fully up to the 5mg, it now means I would be throwing away half a pen... and we all know they are not cheap!

I have a couple of weeks left to make a decision I guess.

Hi everyone, checking in for the end of Week 8. So amazing to see everyone's losses and NSVs. It's lovely to be able to pop back onto the thread and see the progress we're all making - I often just read through the posts and take the pearls of wisdom (just ordered some biokult tablets @ymemanresu). I've jabbed my 4th dose of 3.75mg today and I think the suppression is perfect, so I'm planning on sticking with this dose as long as possible.
Also tried on some size 12 work trousers which are snug but did fasten! I can't believe that after losing 24lbs I'm still not consistently a dress size down. I'm going out for food tomorrow with friends who I haven't seen in months - I wonder if they'll notice a difference (no one other than my husband has mentioned anything so far!). My mini goal was to lose 2 stone by my holiday in 5 weeks, but after a 3.6lb loss this week I'm hoping to get there a bit quicker.
SW 13st 4lb
CW 11st 8lb
Total loss - 1st 10lb

I've lost 29lbs but I'm still the same dress size. Probably because all my clothes are stretchy. I'd probably be the next size up if I wore more fitted clothes! I'll probably have to lose at least another stone before I can drop a dress size!

Undecided2025 · 25/06/2025 22:44

@Sheldon4k good to know about the clicks, thank you. This week will be my 5th 3.75 from a 5mg pen. I haven’t been as tired as I felt when I first started on 2.5, but I do feel quite low in motivation. Not sure if the mj or lower calorie intake. Whatever you decide to do, you have to enjoy your holiday, they don't come around often enough!

Sunshineandpool · 25/06/2025 22:44

Ricoletti · 19/06/2025 08:34

@ellieinfrance good job , I’m glad it worked well for you x

@Discogirl23 that’s so fabulous, well done for that 10 bracket !

@toobusytoclean you are a fabulous tortoise and I’m celebrating your 12 bracket , well done!

keep going everyone. When I feel the struggle I imagine us all walking together like a weary but happy bunch of motivated hikers on a mountain, pulling each other up by our backpack straps when we need it, and cheering eachother on for every step we take 🥳🥳🥳

Aww, I love that vision of us all together! 🩷

Crunchymum · 26/06/2025 06:19

I've weighed in a day early this week as I'll probably be staying with in-laws tonight (want to stick to same scales)

-3lbs

So in 9 weeks I'm -21lbs / -1.5st. I'm in the 11st bracket for first time in about 6 years.

Finally feeling like I'm getting somewhere. I think I need to start realising this is happening, this is working 😁

Seahawk80 · 26/06/2025 06:42

@Crunchymum amazing loss! I’m so excited to see 11 on the scales!

@Undecided2025@Sheldon4k I’m the same with holiday. Im off to Greenland - 3 weeks today (not that I’m counting) - on an expedition cruise and I’m not sure I’ll have a decent fridge in my cabin. It’s going to be a struggle as I know from experience there will be a lot of food but I’m going to jab the day before I go and the day I get back and treat it like a maintenance exercise. There will be hikes and a gym onboard so I’m planning to be active and make good food choices. It’s a once in a lifetime experience so I want to enjoy it.

sending strength to everyone on a plateau. I read a really good article that I now can’t find but it basically said plateaus in weight loss are good as your body is adjusting to the new normal before losing again and it is an essential part of keeping weight off.

Crunchymum · 26/06/2025 07:04

@Seahawk80 Greenland you say? Wowser. How absolutely awesome.

Will be fascinated to hear all about it (and to see how you get on in "maintenance" mode)

Seahawk80 · 26/06/2025 07:52

@Crunchymum yes - very excited!! It’s through work so feel very lucky. Will be an amazing trip and no kids will be such a treat! I should have lots of time to hit the gym! It’s going to be tough with the breakfast buffet and 3 course meals on offer but will be interesting to see how strong I can be!

ellieinfrance · 26/06/2025 09:40

4lb off this week, which puts me just under 2 stone so far. Definitely aiming for it by next Thursday! Well done everyone - so many scales and non scales wins to celebrate. Love to all xx

toobusytoclean · 26/06/2025 10:03

@Seahawk80 my plateau weight does feel like a shape my body is used to so what you said makes sense. What I have lost so far is the visceral fat that had developed between my boobs and my tummy turning me from pear to apple, so I am definitely healthier even if the same dress size.
definitely want to hear about Greenland when you’re back - as a geography teacher it’s definitely on my bucket list

violetmondays · 26/06/2025 10:44

Wow - some fabulous holidays coming up for people! @Seahawk80 you must tell us all about it when you're back.

Some great losses and NSVs too - @Crunchymum yes this IS happening!! I do feel like I have to pinch myself sometimes as it's hard to believe it's not been harder to be honest, and that I've lost this much weight already after so many years.

I have some plans this weekend and I am considering putting off my next dose for a few days, maybe until Monday. This is mainly because I usually jab on a Friday but the last few weekends I have just felt so exhausted and I really want to enjoy myself this weekend and not be exhausted as it includes a lot of travel. I guess the thing holding me back is that I might not feel like that this weekend as it will be my 5th time at this dose and ideally I would rather not switch days - has anyone else done this? What would others do in this position?

Sheldon4k · 26/06/2025 11:25

@Seahawk80Greenland sounds fab! Can't wait to hear about it when you are back!! May be adding a new location to my list of places to visit. 😂

we also go in three weeks as of yesterday, and I honestly haven't been counting since it was booked 😂. Malaysia, Borneo and Vietnam for us; jungle river cruises, jungle trekking, snorkeling and swimming, loads of smaller hikes too. And as many hotel gyms as was possible (for the hubby, not me.. but I will join in sometimes). 11 aeroplanes (a lot of airport walking..lol), so I have no fear of not getting in the exercise.. however all of that lovely, delicious food is waiting to be eaten ...haha! All with 2 kids (wish me luck lol)

Also when we hit the jungle part theres no safe way to keep the pen within the recommended temp, so it was 100% a case of having to go it alone from there anyway.

I am forcing myself to consume more calories this week... just to see if it helps with the tiredness... then will decide from there whether I am going to take it with me for the first part... but if forcing more food down doesnt help me feel less lethargic then its gonna have to be a No to taking it (if I take on normal day before.. then my super tiredness will hit during the flight there which I am okay about as I am rubbish at sleeping on planes normally!😂

catchingzzzeds · 26/06/2025 12:42

@violetmondays I was in your position and I delayed jabbing until I got home. I didn’t want to ruin anyone’s weekend by me feeling under par
