I’m still I’m on the 2.5mg and it’s doing the job atm!!! Wk9!

Ricoletti · 17/06/2025 15:05

Hi all,

a colleague who I don’t see often told me I looked like I’d lost weight today and looked great… which was nice… then proceeded to say ‘your not using them dodgy weight loss injections that everybody is using are you? So silly! ‘… I ignored the last bit , said yes I’ve lost some weight and reflected how much better I feel , and how losing weight has really helped various health issues like joint pain etc.

Some people are so nosy and judgey!!!!

Ricoletti · 17/06/2025 15:08

Also… those who are getting itchy rash/ reaction… I jabbed in upper stomach this time (rather than usual below belly button location) above and to the left of belly button.

no reaction so far! The last reaction was much smaller and went away quicker, so not sure if my body has just gotten used to 5ml.. but I will be jabbing above belly button from now on incase it is the area that has made a difference.

Brunocatmon · 17/06/2025 15:11

Marking to find later x

Steala · 17/06/2025 15:41

Has anyone started 7.5 yet? Mine is in my fridge ready for Friday.

GeraniumRoseblush · 17/06/2025 16:51

@SweetChilliGirl yes I'm still on 2.5 and am on W7D5. Have decent suppression still so sticking on that for the foreseeable. My losses are only 1-2lbs a week though, apart from last week which was zilch. If I can keep losing a bit each week, I'm more than happy to stay on a low dose as I hope it will make coming off it less hard work 🤞

Scousebloke · 17/06/2025 17:49

Thanks for the new thread @wlinewbie0425

@Ricoletti your right. Your colleague is a nosey judgemental bitch. Well done for not telling her. Don't think i could have let that go.

Oh, I’ve always done it above (just because it’s easier to see than below the belly button!)…be interesting to see if more of you getting reactions find the upper stomach easier.

And 🙄 to your colleague. Why don’t people just think before opening their mouths.

SassyLimeHelper · 17/06/2025 19:45

Hi everyone, just checking in for the new thread!
Currently on week 8 day 3 and 21.5lb down - appetite suppression is higher than usual this week but I am absolutely exhausted! Managed to comfortably fit into some size 12 denim shorts this weekend (I was struggling to get into a 14 at Easter) but I'm avoiding buying any new clothes just yet, as I'd like to get to a size 10 if possible.
@Ricoletti people are so judgey. I've told one colleague about my jabs and they often make snide or knowing comments in my direction now, whenever anyone brings up the topic of WLIs. Wish I hadn't said anything now. I think people mostly enjoy having a friend who is overweight and a bit self-conscious, and when that dynamic changes and they become more confident, there is a shift in the power dynamic of the relationship too. I won't be telling anyone else for this reason. I don't care what people think of my decisions about my own health - they never cared when I was steadily gaining weight and becoming more unhealthy!

GoGoGovy · 17/06/2025 21:06

Checking in. Thanks @wlinewbie0425

Thinking of changing my name to GoSlowGovy. Still nowhere near the stone mark (9lbs in 6.5 weeks) 🙄. Hopefully, the Wegovy 1mg pen will speed things up.

Flowerchild547 · 17/06/2025 22:30

Thank you for the new thread!
Checking in ahead of official weigh day tomorrow and more importantly jab day!

I’m so hoping to get down to next stone bracket and only need to lose 0.2lbs as of this morning’s weigh. Knowing my luck I’ll be a lb up tomorrow instead!

Coventree · 18/06/2025 07:01

@SassyLimeHelper love the shorts NSV 👏

@GoGoGovy hope the 1mg pen will help things go, go, go ❤️

Good luck @Flowerchild547!

Wednesday weigh-in for me - another 2lb gone 🌟, making it 26lbs in total…hoping to hit the 2st loss next week 🤞. 5mg working well for me so taking the golden dose later today for jab number 9.

My NSV? Had to buy some new size 14 knickers because my size 18s started falling down when walking the dog (luckily I had trousers on to keep them somewhat in place) 🤣

wlinewbie0425 · 18/06/2025 07:28

Well done @Coventreethat’s fab. Only 1lb for me today at end of week 8 and contrary to what I said last week, I’ve decided to move up to 5mg for week 9.

I’ve done 4 weeks at 2.5, 4 at 3/3.75 and loss week 1-4 was 15lb, week 5-8 was 6lb. I know that’s still great overall but I want to try 5mg now, well before various events and holiday in case of side effects, as long as I can maintain eating enough if not I can drop back to 3.75 next week.

I actually took it yesterday as needed to shift day to fit in with upcoming holiday. So far nothing dramatic, feel much the same as 3.75mg.

Well done to all, denim shorts and droopy knickers, I love to hear our NSV’s !

keeping everything crossed for our individual goals.

scales are moving again for me… lost 1lb , which has moved me down a stone bracket and im seeing a number on there that I haven’t seen in many a year!!!!

wlinewbie0425 · 18/06/2025 08:16

That’s fab @Ricoletticongrats on the new stone bracket!

Well done for all the losses @Ricoletti@wlinewbie0425@Coventree@GoGoGovy@SassyLimeHelper@GeraniumRoseblush@SweetChilliGirl@Undecided2025

Excellent news about the droopy drawers @Coventree 😆

And fantastic to hear about those size 12 shorts @SassyLimeHelper 🩳🫶

I have an NSV of sorts... With this mini heatwave I'm just SO relieved to not be as worried as I used to be about showing my fat legs and fat arms in public... It used to really stress me out when the weather got hot as I would have to expose my fatness to all and sundry (or swelter horribly in too warm clothes!)... Anyway, I wouldn't quite say I'm now feeling 'body confident', but I'm feeling less worried than I used to be... I'll take that! 🙌

Sheldon4k · 18/06/2025 08:51

Well done on all the losses and NSVs which seem to be coming in thick and fast. I feel that these NSVs are often more exciting than the number on the scale because they are personal (and reading all of yours reminds me not to focus too much on that scale number).

I did my threesixty scan this morn and did the comparison images from the beginning and put my phone down on the side whilst I was making a cuppa. My hubby picked it up and commented on the difference from the side by side image and how well I am doing (he does say nice things in person too, but i guess you dont see a side by side image usually).

Its jab 9 day and weigh day for me today and its just over a lb down taking my total over the 8 weeks to 19lb.

What does NSV mean please?

Ricoletti · 18/06/2025 09:15

@PeachSnail get those limbs out in the sunshine girl, strut!!! 🤩

@Sheldon4k I bet those side by side images were so motivating, nice that your hubby is celebrating you and your fab progress toward health 🥳

@Coventree I love your user name, but I want to throw ‘DroopyDrawers’ into the hat for a temp name change to celebrate your knicker victory 🤣

@wlinewbie0425 those are great progress stats!!! Hope the gear shift to 5ml goes smoothly for you.

What does NSV mean please?

Non-scale victory. Something that isn’t just weighing.

SweetChilliGirl · 18/06/2025 10:11

My go-to summer skirt in a size 16 is sliding down and sitting on my slightly-less-ample hips! And I can fit into a floaty dress that I couldn't squeeze into last summer.

Thank you for the new thread.

I took my 9th 2.5mg jab on Sunday so am W9 D3 and have lost 1 stone and 9lb.

Is anyone else still on 2.5mg? My suppression is waning but I still seem to be managing OK with some willpower and am losing slowly but steadily.

I might try a slightly bigger dose this Sunday, when I use the bonus dose and see how I feel. I've got a couple more 2.5mg pens in the fridge though.

Im heading into my third pen on sunday and I've stayed on 2.5 which is working for me.

I have good suppression but i'm hearing a little food noise, example, I bought ds some new York style cookies the other day and they did look yummy so I broke off a corner. That was enough, ordinarily, i'd have had 2. By Saturday evenings im feeling a little hungry ( I jab on Sunday nights ).

Im still feeling full up quickly, I've just had one protein muffin, half an avocado and 2 poached eggs for breakfast and really didn't want to finish it but I did because i'm aware that I'm low on calories most days.

I've just taken on a pt and she reckons i'm eating 400 calories too few every day. 😲. I am aware of low energy though so I understand i need to eat more, its just so terrifying after we've done so well to lose the weight.

I'm losing steadily though, I weigh daily but in the last 18 days I've lost 5lbs which might not sound like much but I think its pretty steady.

I literally just tried but sadly ‘DroopyDrawers’ is taken 🤣. Wonder if that person lost weight too 😁

violetmondays · 18/06/2025 11:26

What lovely positive vibes this morning! Well done on the losses @wlinewbie0425 @Ricoletti @Coventree @SassyLimeHelper and all the amazing NSVs (loving the droopy drawers and size 1 shorts!!) @Brunocatmon I would say 5lb off in 18 days is great 🙌

I feel the same as you @PeachSnail - last year I dreaded having to wear summer clothes and just wanted to hide myself away. My weight gain has really effected my social life and I have avoided many many events over the last few years due to feeling so insecure 😕but I feel so much better already this summer. I dragged out all my summer clothes from the loft over the weekend and had a big try on, I could fit into a lot of things I haven't been able to wear since before covid. I bought a lovely pink trouser suit in Italy several years ago and I have never worn it because the size 12 trousers were too small - I'm not quite there yet but I'm really hoping I can get into them by the end of summer.
