That’s a bit rubbish @slightlysmallerPoisonIvy, hope it’s okay when you get it 😬. One of my orders from last week is due today (also Royal Mail) but I’m only in for the first half of the whole morning delivery slot 😬🤞. That leaves one order still pending after the third got cancelled. Hoping it will move today from processing to shipped. Then by dropping to 5mg (☹️) for current pen and using all golden doses, that sees me through to January. 7.5mg’s been working great and I wouldn’t have planned to drop down yet, but needs must. Hope everyone else’s plans are taking shape.

But lovely hearing the holiday stories and NSVs that still keep coming in! Well done everyone, whether big or small, our weekly losses since late April are amazing - we’ve done so much good for our bodies over the last 4 months 🎉👏🌟

On that note, another 1lb lost for me, making it 41lbs in total 🎉. Would have loved to have reached 42lbs this week to make it 3st in total, but it’s period week so it wasn’t happening. Maybe next week…🤞🤞🤞

slightlysmallerPoisonIvy · 19/08/2025 22:35

My approved pen didn't arrive today and will be spending the night in the delivery depot because royal mail sucks.
I'm a little bit concerned about temperatures but not enough to not use the pen.
I think.
Might reasses tomorrow when it arrives and I see how warm it is.
Ugh.

It should be okay.

The packaging (from my supplier at least) keeps the cold chain items at the correct temp for up to 72h.

My last 7.5mg arrived warm (room temp) in the really hot weather as I had to delay delivery by 24h as I was out. My supplier insisted it was fine. It was about 40h from despatch to me getting it in the fridge.

I was skeptical but the pen was fine and did the job.

Crunchymum · 20/08/2025 08:25

Amazing loss there @Coventree

The -3st club is fast approaching.

I still can't get over people having lost this much since late April? I'm a bit slower (closer to -2st still) but even that feels like such an achievement.

It's been absolutely transformative for me and I'm only half way there.

wlinewbie0425 · 20/08/2025 08:37

I’m also expecting a Royal Mail delivery today (pharmacy2u) which has already spent 2 nights in transit so I’m really hoping the reviews about their excellent cold packaging are true. Same as @slightlysmallerPoisonIvyI think I’ll feel so grateful to have the pen that there is no way I will complain or attempt for a replacement in the current situation even if it’s warm. Wishing everyone good luck, cold pens and speedy approvals today!

well done on this week’s loss @Coventree
🎉

it’s also my Wednesday weigh in - 1.2lbs this week which I’m delighted with and really hope to continue on 5mg and never go higher as I’m approaching a healthy bmi which is pretty exciting now it’s in sight. I could never have believed I would see that just a few months ago. Total loss since April - 35lb, since January - 44lb 🎉

All 3 of my pens have been dispatched, one of them due today and hopefully the other 2 tomorrow 🤞🏻🤞🏻

I was hoping to get under 15 st for holiday but have 3lb to go and my period just started so I don’t think that’s going to happen but I’m not far off! I wish I’d been better at keeping track of my weight over the years cos I look at photos and think I look ok in them but no idea what weight I was when they were taken so it’s hard to have a target in mind!

Im also wondering if I might have lipodema… the weight isn’t coming off my legs as well as I would like, I’ve always had very chunky legs and ankles but they look a bit “lumpy”. I don’t have the pain that is characteristic but they always feel very heavy. I should probably go to the doctor but it feels like one of those things they won’t be able to help with.

Crunchymum · 20/08/2025 09:22

I have lipodema. I also have an autoimmune arthritis and its often a comorbidity. Mine is stage one (so I've just got a few lumps on my upper thighs)

No cure and no real treatment but there are things you can do the help manage the condition.

Have a Google there is a lot of info out there. Anecdotally WLI's can help but there's no comprehensive guidelines on WLI being used for lipodema (yet)

RubyJuno · 20/08/2025 09:49

Thanks @Crunchymum - I’ve done a fair bit of googling and reading but as with so many things, it’s hard to sort the genuine proven advice from the people just trying to sell their magic cream isn’t it?!

Sheldon4k · 20/08/2025 10:00

Been back from the holiday for 5 days now and I am back to my lowest mj weight (pre holiday). More than happy with that. I had my first post holiday jab friday evening, did 2.5mg and can say that its curbed food noise again, however its nothing like that first ever 2.5mg dose i took where i could barely eat and experienced major thirst etc. I have felt a bit tired, but that could also be attributed to jet lag.
I'm wanting to go back to wed as jab day, anyone with experience of changing day, would you do Thurs this week, then back to wed the following week? Or straight into the wed jab today?

PeachSnail · 20/08/2025 10:22

I was just having a look through Reddit and saw someone had put together this wiki on what is currently known about actual pen costs post Sept 1st... It suggests the increases may not be as much as we're fearing (with negotiated volume discounts). For example, it says a 5mg pen could be £135, which is what I've just paid with Independent Pharmacy... So fingers crossed!?!

I went on my repeat subscription, my 5mg (maintained 5mg) pen with a 15% discount has been £152. However the new price showing for my next one in Sept is £212.50. (Rrp showing as 249.99).
Needless to say I have cancelled the repeat until more is known.

Well done on coming back from holiday and being your lowest MJ weight.

I'm pretty sure you'd be okay to jab a day early? (If you are saying you jabbed last Thursday and want to jab today?)

However I've only ever moved a day forward not a day back so I'm not100% sure. I think from a medical POV you're good but maybe the instruction sheet that comes with the medication will confirm?

slightlysmallerPoisonIvy · 20/08/2025 14:42

Waiting for my delivery today and checking the door and the window and the app constantly, I haven't dared shower yet in case I miss it

Well done @Coventree ⭐ 3stone is amazing!!! Fingers crossed all your pens arrive safely

Well done @wlinewbie0425 being so close to a healthy bmi must feel pretty damn good! Fingers crossed your pen arrives soon

@RubyJuno I'm running out of fingers so toes crossed that all your pens arrive safely. I have stage 3 and a lot of pain, assuming you're stage 1 I didn't have pain back then. And no, they don't do anything helpful. Some people find compression helpful. I do not because it's too painful.

@Sheldon4k I've only moved forward a day not back. If it was your first month on it I'd say be more cautious but as you're back on it after a short break and you know what side effects you're likely to experience I would probably just do today. Instructions say minimum 4 days between doses.

Update my pen arrived before I had finished typing, I am now stocked up for the next few months and don't plan to buy anymore at the higher prices. And I have showered. 😁

SweetChilliGirl · 20/08/2025 17:19

I've hit two and a half stone off, although I am still carrying a lot of fat on my tummy. One stone to go!

Coventree · 20/08/2025 18:50

Thanks all 😊. The losses are quite wide ranging across us all, aren’t they, @Crunchymum , and it just goes to show there’s not one standard way we all respond (just like there’s not one standard way we all got to the position of needing MJ in the first place).

Ha! Glad you got to have your shower @slightlysmallerPoisonIvy 🚿, and that you have the pens you need. I have a nervousness about my pending order (Medical Marketplace - I have contacted their customer services today as still not heard anything but on the other threads about the price ranges, others are getting their orders fulfilled), so I think I’m going to take the hit and re-order with Numan at the higher rate (but still not at likely Sep prices).

Well done @SweetChilliGirl 👏

Ricoletti · 20/08/2025 19:04

Medexpress have emailed me saying my order has been processed and is out for delivery 🥳🥳🥳

Hit three stone this week. Still around 5 to go but feeling so much better already and my mum noticed and said I looked great which made me very happy. I love her to bits but she is my biggest critic
Feels strange still wanting my mums approval as I approach 60. 🤔🤔🤔

well done to everyone and cheers for a slimmer and healthier future 🍾
