@Ricoletti I am also struggling with the tiredness, I feel wiped out most of the time and its not good for busy challenging job 😒 any tips anyone to help with this? I already have electrolytes which I think help, but willing to try other things

felt very nauseous too since Monday injection but luckily woke this morning and that seems to have lifted, had my collagen coffee and all is good with the world well, until the heatwave starts - really not looking forward to that 😩

It’s rough isn’t it?! I could have cried with tiredness yesterday.

Ive defo noticed that it’s worse when I don’t eat enough , especially if I get lazy with protein…. Which makes sense as my body is running on fumes.

im also experimenting with different supplements to see if that helps. Currently use a multivitamin daily, biotin for my hair and magnesium at night. And collagen in my coffee on a morning.

W8 D1
Jabbed last night and so far no reaction at the injection site 🤞
My official weigh is out of sync with jab day as I'm averaging a Monday to Sunday week. So far looking good for a definite loss.

Well done on all the NSVs. I'm about 15lb down but not noticing any difference in appearance or clothes yet. Holiday in 10 weeks so hoping I look better in a cossy then than I did last year!

Keep up the good work @PumpKim, 15lb is a great record!!! I’m imagining you swanking around a pool in a classy Cosby , huge hat and Audrey Hepburn sunglasses- looking fabulous on your holiday … maybe you have a cocktail in your hand?!

interaction for me this time either, phew!

Ricoletti · 19/06/2025 08:34

@ellieinfrance good job , I’m glad it worked well for you x

@Discogirl23 that’s so fabulous, well done for that 10 bracket !

@toobusytoclean you are a fabulous tortoise and I’m celebrating your 12 bracket , well done!

keep going everyone. When I feel the struggle I imagine us all walking together like a weary but happy bunch of motivated hikers on a mountain, pulling each other up by our backpack straps when we need it, and cheering eachother on for every step we take 🥳🥳🥳

Kbr22 · 19/06/2025 08:59

Weigh in tomorrow, just hope I have lost, I am very slow, but going down each week. I love reading all these threads, they really keep me motivated. Have a lovely day everyone x

Love the hikers image 😁

Coventree · 19/06/2025 09:20

And hoiking up our droopy drawers as we hike @Ricoletti 🤣

Hey @PumpKim I bet those 15lbs will absolutely be obvious in a before and after photo comparison

Well done everyone…keep slogging on through the heat x

violetmondays · 19/06/2025 11:49

@dozywelshbird and @Ricoletti I think I mentioned before I was struggling with extreme tiredness too and I think you're right that its worse when I'm not eating enough. Saturday I was whacked all day until I had chicken curry and rice for dinner which really perked me up and I had a burst of energy. I am going to try and eat a bit more in the couple of days following the jab this weekend and see if it helps.

@toobusytoclean loving your compliments from work colleagues! It's so nice when someone notices, I had it for the first time this week from my lovely hairdresser who I haven't seen since before MJ and it gave me such a boost!

Love sharing this journey with you all and hearing everyone's losses and nsv's!

I have been a lot more active this week than usual so hoping it will have an effect on the scales when I weigh tomorrow.

Hawkmoth · 19/06/2025 13:06

W9D2, moved up to 5mg. I can hardly eat anything! I'm going to make some soups and just have a mug by me at all times. It's a bit scary, but I'm sure it will calm down.

PeachSnail · 19/06/2025 13:30

@Hawkmoth sounds like a good plan. When I was suffering with chronic SE the other week Sainsbury's chicken broth was a life saver... Just gave me something easily digestible to line my stomach. Good luck... Hope things settle down soon 🫶

Hawkmoth · 19/06/2025 13:38

Yes oddly enough chicken noodle soup is the only thing I could think of that I fancy. I'll make some later I think.

Ricoletti · 19/06/2025 18:53

@Hawkmoth I get this too! I find that sometimes if I can power through the first few bites my body sort of takes over and I can mange a small portion even when mondo suppression is happening.

crunchy things are the easiest for me to tolerate. I’ve never eaten so many corn cakes with cheese spread in my life!!!

Hawkmoth · 19/06/2025 18:55

It was hoisin chicken for tea tonight and I managed all the chicken and the water chestnuts so I'm not a worried now. Definitely going to look out for corn cakes, thanks @Ricoletti .

Yousay55 · 19/06/2025 20:45

Last week I moved up to 7.5 & half way through the week I’ve had 2 days/nights of a very upset stomach. I think perhaps I’ve moved up too quickly after just 4 weeks on each of the previous doses.

I’m dreading jabbing again tomorrow when I’ve hardly left the bathroom for 48 hours! Has anyone else suffered like this? Absolutely nothing has helped. This is the first side effect I’ve had & thought I’d got away with it!

PeachSnail · 19/06/2025 21:06

@Yousay55 sorry to hear you've been feeling so unwell. 2 weeks ago I suffered from really bad side effects after my 2nd week on 3.75mg... basically acute diarrhoea for 4 days. I gave myself a break of 11 days before jabbing again and went back down to 2.5mg. I think we all have different tolerance levels and people's bodies can react when the levels of MJ in the system become too much for them... So maybe consider taking a small break and going back to a lower dose on the next jab? Best of luck and hope you feel better soon ♥️

Coffeeandallthebooks · 19/06/2025 21:23

Lost a pound this week, W8D1. Quite happy with that, I've lost every week so far and lost 17lbs in total and firmly in the 13's.

Felt awful with a bad headache today, so I'm glad I have another 5mg pen. Finally realised all we had was Calpol and had to manage to have some. It tasted grim but my head feels better. I dont know how I used to think something so sickly sweet tasted nice.

I'm sorry to everyone else suffering side effects, the headache was new for me as I usually have nausea and vomiting, but maybe they will get better, or at least interestingly varied!

@Ricoletti Love this! 😍

@Coventree Hiking with droopy drawers 😂

@Coffeeandallthebooks great loss!

I've had a horrible headache all day, it's the heat not a side effect though.
I'm on my period so this evening I had chocolate for the first time in forever. I only ate a little and then felt completely satisfied with absolutely no desire to eat more! I don't think I've ever managed to not eat the whole bag of wispa bites. Yesterday I found mouldy chocolate brownies in the cupboard. Thorntons little chocolate brownies would never have stayed in the kitchen long enough to grow mould pre-mounjaro!!

StartingApril2025 · 19/06/2025 23:08

Hi everyone great to hear the updates! Well done for a good week, for those feeling rough with SE I do hope they improve quickly!
I have my appointment to get my 3 pen tomorrow night and going with 5mg as the weight loss has been slowwww this last month despite the reduced calories. A few people have commented to me that I look like I’ve lost weight so that’s encouraging in itself. My Appointment tomorrow isn’t until late evening so no doubt il likely slow very little loss on the scales at the appointment as this month as far as I reckon I’ve only lost 4 ish pounds ( and that’s morning weighs!) we go on holidays next Saturday so I’ll have one week at 5mg to see how I go and keeping everything crossed I don’t suffer badly over next few weeks with being away.

how are those who smoke/vape/ nicotine replacement getting on? Sadly the reduction i had in the first week or two is long gone and I’m still craving that same but absolutely do want to cut that drastically, maybe the 5mg will be a help?! Who knows!

bridgetreilly · 20/06/2025 00:47

I am having the knicker problem too! Gutted, tbh, because I treated myself to some gorgeous Stripe and Stare knickers in January and I can’t wear them any more.

Lidlbitofmonica · 20/06/2025 06:52

Ohmyword, I was in the gym last night and kept feeling I had to pull up my knickers - didn’t consider they were too big now!!

W9D1 and am 3lb down this week to 13sr3, delighted after a couple of slow weeks. I had set myself an interim target of being 13 stone for my holiday in 4 weeks so this feels achievable now!

Dilemma though - I’m doing pretty well on the 5mg, apart from constipation (regular fybogel and prunes) and some tiredness. I need to go to my pharmacist at lunchtime for my next pen, so I stick at 5mg or move up? My next 4 week appointment is the day before my holiday, ideally I’d stay on 5mg and it would stay as effective, but what if it doesn’t? I don’t want to start 7.5mg the day before a two week all-inclusive and have awful side effects, so do I move up now? Or stick with 5mg and hope? Need to make this decision before my lunchtime appointment!

Coventree · 20/06/2025 06:55

Yay! Droopy drawers all round 😂👏

Crunchymum · 20/06/2025 07:48

Happy Friday all.

-1.5lbs for me today (taking me to -18lbs in 8 weeks)

I'm thrilled with this week's loss as its been my birthday - so I've been out for coffee and cake twice this week (whoops ☺️ ) and I got my period on Wednesday.

Moving up to 7.5mg as it's still been a bit of a battle in terms of food noise. Hoping a higher dose just gives me a bit more suppression / shuts off the noise for me?

Fingers crossed 🤞

I think in your position I'd either move up now (so you have a month to decide if 7.5mg is for you or not) or else I'd commit to staying on 5mg until after the holiday.

I wouldn't chance moving up just before a big trip.

I'm starting 7.5mg today as I've found 5mg wasn't quite doing it. If 5mg worked I'd have stuck though.

Sorry probably not very helpful.

Oh and make sure you buy yourself some new knickers 😂

Ricoletti · 20/06/2025 07:56

All this chat has me starting to wonder about my knickers…..

I don’t think I’m quite at droopy drawer status yet… but I do wear BIG knickers …like keep my ribs warm , could double as a main sail if required big… so if they do start to fall down I’m really going to know about it 🤣🤣🤣

Hi gang!

I'm W8D7 (aren't the weeks just whizzing by?!)
I lost 2lbs this week
SW 19st2
CW 17st1

I'm still on 2.5mg but will move up to 5mg next pen. I've not had any nausea this week but a lot of tiredness! Getting my blood checked next week for iron/thyroid/vit D.

Which means I've hit the 2 stone mark! 😊
My BMI is now 42 so I won't be morbidly obese for much longer!

@Crunchymum - happy birthday! There is no whoops about it - it's perfectly normal to have cake for your birthday!
