Ah, the frustration of being on hols and not being able to use a discount code because you’re not at home for the delivery! Thanks for sharing though @wlinewbie0425 and hope everyone is finding their way through losses and NSVs over these summer weeks x

PumpKim · 30/07/2025 18:12

Aarggh annoyingly I ordered my next pen on Monday swapping to Medicine Marketplace from Pill Sorted to save some money. Wish I'd seen the code. Never mind.
Decided to order 7.5mg as can definitely tell 5 is getting less effective. I am going to do the extra dose from my 5mg pen tonight and then I'll move up from next week.

toobusytoclean · 30/07/2025 22:58

Weigh in day for me and nearly 3lbs lost! This is really good for me and I think is due to moving up to 7.5mg as the suppression lasts pretty much all week.
SW 13st 10
CW 12st 4.4
No particular goal weight in mind just want to finish losing the visceral belly fat to be healthier.
BMI now 29.5 😊
Saw physio today for my osteoarthritis and she has recommended some resistance/weights exercises for the gym and some body weight exercises for home. So relieved to get the green light to do this and some tips to adapt to suit my limited range of motion.
Onwards and downwards everyone!
Happy holidays to those away

Nearlyhadenough · 30/07/2025 13:01

@Merlin23 I’m also with SheMed, it’s so good not having to chase prices each month.

I feel I can go up and not worry about the cost. I've budgeted for the same amount!

wlinewbie0425 · 31/07/2025 10:50

Just an update to say MedExpress have just cancelled my order due to “misuse of discount code”. Not impressed but also not surprised. I really do think they should have honoured it for existing customers but if something seems too good to be true… just stiffens my resolve that I won’t go back to them again as they already messed me around last week sending me a code when on hol but refusing to extend it until i could accept delivery.

apologies to anyone else who used who now gets rejected. I shared it in good faith after the mods on main mounjaro uk Reddit said it was legit and I had used myself.

Coffeeandallthebooks · 31/07/2025 11:38

That's a shame @wlinewbie0425 I think if they accepted the code they should honour it.
Hopefully you can get a good deal elsewhere for your next pen, and maybe leave them a TrustPilot review which reflects your experience with them to warn others.

I've had a 2lbs loss for wk 13 so have joined the 2 stone club, and BMI at 30.9 now.

Good luck to everyone else weighing in soon, and well done to everyone on holiday still making good choices- it's very impressive!

Ricoletti · 31/07/2025 11:54

Urgh I hope medexpress don’t reject my order with the code ! They are buggers and if I had more time and head space I would change providers.

on another note- anyone else have a constantly cold nose???? It’s getting ridiculous. I kissed my mam on the cheek the other day and she said my nose was like an Icecube 🤣

Edited

Was the order cancelled after it being confirmed as prescribed? I got email saying it’s been prescribed but not heard anything else. I’m wondering if they may email now saying it’s not being dispatched…

BudgieMom · 31/07/2025 12:17

Mines has been cancelled too @wlinewbie0425 they have gave me a £20 credit instead x

wlinewbie0425 · 31/07/2025 12:37

Well done @Coffeeandallthebooks2stone 🎉 and @toobusytoclean

I’ve just had the £20 credit email too @BudgieMom. Won’t be ordering next pen from them both cos I’m irritated, but mainly cos that is still more than I need to pay for a 7.5mg pen. I would have ordered if they credited me the equivalent of the personal code they refused to extend last week when I was away… honestly I think they are just too big, the dots aren’t joined up with customer service at all and they are past the point of needing to care if people are disgruntled and move on. I’m not even bothering complaining. @Ricolettia few ppl seem to have slipped through the net of their auto approval before it got flagged so you might be one of the lucky ones. However if it’s not yet gone to dispatched then I would not get your hopes up.

Small update from me - back from hol weigh in and lost 1.6lb this week. Not surprised as suppression did scupper my enjoyment of food and drink more than I had hoped while away, (despite only jabbing 2.5 instead of 5 the day before I left) but I still had a lovely time enjoying sun and relaxation and don’t need to worry about a gain so I’ll take that, and get back to more nutritious food and exercise. It also means I’m exactly 1lb off of 3 stone loss which is amazing - since January I hasten to add - not all on MJ from April that would be worryingly fast! I would never have got here without it though so happy to be feeling comfortable in my own skin on holiday and in life.

My heavily discounted order from med express arrived this morning.
im pleased but very sorry for those who’s ordered was cancelled after missing the code. It’s so odd how different the experiences of medexpress are for different people.

violetmondays · 01/08/2025 09:18

Morning and happy Friday! Jab day number 15...2lb loss this week and just crept into the 10 stones and healthy BMI bracket (24.9!!). Really happy that it's still going down at a fairly consistent rate (that must slow down at some point I'm sure).

SW: 13.3 st
CW: 10.13.5 st
TW: 10 st
Total lost: 2st 3.5lbs

When I started with MJ I don't think I had really thought about it properly, I thought I would only be on it a couple of months. But here we are - into month 4. How is everyone feeling? It feels quite routine now and I am thinking a lot about maintenance. My preference would be to stop soon due to the cost and SEs (which are mild but annoying) but definitely worried about being able to keep it off long term, especially with menopause around the corner. Re the cost, I'm with one of the most expensive providers, I should have switched to a cheaper one ages ago but I didn't and now I think it will be a struggle to get accepted anywhere. I don't really want to spend £200 a month long term.

Sorry about the medexpress code debacle - I saw on some other threads a lot of people having the same problem with it being accepted and then cancelled.

Congrats on losses @Coffeeandallthebooks and @toobusytoclean and all others in the last week. Hope everyone is enjoying/enjoyed their holidays!

violetmondays · 01/08/2025 09:22

@wlinewbie0425 that's amazing you had a lovely holiday and still managed to come back having lost weight, the dream!!

wlinewbie0425 · 01/08/2025 09:49

Oh I’m so pleased you were lucky @Ricoletti if anyone deserves it it’s you with all the support you have given us all on here. I also shared it with a family member who has started on MJ and they were lucky too so that’s cheered me up! I’ve now ordered with a friend’s code from WePrescribe and got the 7.5mg I wanted for £126 inc postage which is still much better than MedEx with the £20!

@violetmondayscongratulations! I don’t think many on our thread have made it to under 25 yet that’s fantastic! I have been thinking about long term and maintenance too (I’m at just under 27) and come to the conclusion that moving around is good not just for price, but also for being on the books of a few suppliers in case of one of them decided to stop my prescription or had supply issues. You aren’t too late - loads of them will accept you under 25 with evidence of your previous prescription. There is a whole page about maintenance on monj.co.uk.

i think I will try medicine marketplace or swift dr next. MMP are good if I need to go to 10mg as fixed price of 145 inc postage. However swift sound like a good option if I try to stop as they will let you restart as long as it’s not been more than 12 months since your last order with them. No monthly fee just to stay on their books like oushk. They would just let you start back on at 2.5mg. I would like to try coming off once settled at goal but want the option to go back on if weight starts to free up without having to wait until bmi 30 to re-qualify.

OP posts:
violetmondays · 01/08/2025 12:44

Thanks @wlinewbie0425 and for all your helpful pointers, I have never looked at monj.co.uk before but it was very interesting and I have just been approved for 5mg pen for £125 with Swift, hopefully this will be a good option for any future maintenance too.

wendywoopywoo222 · 01/08/2025 18:51

Yay. Aren’t we all doing well. 🍾🎉. I’ve lost another two this week and it’s taken by BMI to under 40. I’m so heartened and happy to actually believe that I can lose this weight 😊😊

Megsdaughter · 01/08/2025 19:04

Started off as a size 24/26, and although I have lost 2st7lb i didn't feel like I had lost enough to go down a size in clothes. I had been wearing elastic waist floaty summer trousers which still felt OK.

Decided today to get out a pair of jeans today which are a size 22 and the white shirt I used to wear with them .

Tried them on and the jeans were slightly to big! And the shirt is could wrap round me!

So feeling good tonight.

Scousebloke · 02/08/2025 05:23

Weigh day for me and another 2lb loss making a total loss of 2 stone 4lb. Happy with that.

Zebracat · 02/08/2025 07:01

91.1 kilos, from 91.8 last Saturday . Happy with that. Next week could see me get under 200 pounds and under 14 stone.

StartingApril2025 · 02/08/2025 08:06

Hi everyone, managing well on 5mg so far re.SE. Though was super hungry two days this week weirdly and ate way more than I usually would, not in a calorie deficit - thought my first week of 5mg would have me avoiding food not eating more!
lost 1lb this week taking my total loss to 2stone 7lbs. Got another 1.5stone to go ideally ! Hope everyone had a good weekend!

BeachBodyAim · 02/08/2025 09:24

SW 17.7
CW 15.0
WK 15 loss 2lb
Total loss 2st 7lb

2lb off this week and hit my first interim target!!! Very happy with that!!!!
Im moving up to the 5mg pen today but I think I’m just going to try 3.75 this week - a smaller increase rather than double what I’m used too if that makes sense!!!!
Good luck everyone and congrats on the losses and NSV’s!!!!

StartingApril2025 · 02/08/2025 14:43

@BeachBodyAim that’s what I did - 3 weeks of 3.75 then 5mg, so far so good! Well done on interim target!

Crunchymum · 02/08/2025 21:58

Hello all,

Lovely to see all the losses and NSV and positivity.

It's the last day of our holiday today and it's been much harder than I thought. Even on 7.5mg old habits have crept back in and I'm pretty sure I've probably gained a fair amout. I've actually decided to not to weigh until next weekend now.

I've jabbed twice whilst away (albet it 2nd jab tonight) but I may as well have not injected for all the effect its had.

We've eaten out 7 times in 10 days and i haven't always been going for the healthy option!! There's been lots of sweet treats and lots of milky lattes. At least I don't drink alcohol I guess. I have walked a fair bit but I feel disgusting and gross. Can't wait to get back to it and I'll definitely be moving up to 10mg!!

I guess it's good to know that my psychology around food hasn't changed at all, as I know where I really need to put the work in.

Oh well, onwards and downwards I hope!!

GoGoGovy · 03/08/2025 07:01

Morning super losers.

My 3 month anniversary today. Plodding along, but losing every week. Overall loss calculated at 11.3%, so can’t grumble too much.

Congats on all the losses and NSV’s. 🎉to @violetmondays 25! Well done!
2 to 3 sizes down @Megsdaughter thats amazing!

Dont be disheartened @Crunchymum I’m sure you haven’t gained as much as you think you have. Also, holidays are about enjoying yourself.
My holiday is in a few weeks time and I’m expecting to put on a couple of lbs over the 2 weeks. Mind you, I’m also going to be doing a lot of cycling so hopefully the weight gain will be fat to muscle ( wishful thinking 😀). I’ll just have to be super strict in September.

Ricoletti · 03/08/2025 11:48

Happy Sunday everyone!
@wendywoopywoo222 congratulations on the BMI step down, this is a fantastic achievement and SO amazing for your health. You are smashing it!!!

@Megsdaughter what a gorgeous NSV, check you out in your loose jeans and baggy shirt. You should be feeling good, you are doing amazingly!!!

@Scouseblokeyou are doing so brilliantly, 2s 4lb is a really significant loss and I imagine you are really feeling the benefit in how you look and feel. Well done !

@Zebracatwell done on your shrinking kilos, I’m cheering you on for your next goal of under 14s. You got this !

@StartingApril2025 really impressive to have still lost while having some super hungry days! Well done for just allowing your body what you needed. it’s all a bit of an unknown isn’t it, and maybe your body just needed more calories on those days ?
keep going, you are doing great!

@BeachBodyAim I’m setting off a confetti canon for your interim target, brilliant achievement! Good luck with your 3.75 this week.

@Crunchymum I’m sorry you feel disheartened. Even if you have had a bit of a gain from this holiday, I think it’s all about balance and holidays are for enjoyment! You have enjoyed some treats and also done walking- this is great balance. Remember it’s a marathon not a sprint, could this be viewed as a fun pit stop before you are back in the game ? I hope you had a lovely time on your holiday.

@GoGoGovyhappy 3 month anniversary! 11.3% is awesome, you are doing so well. Enjoy your holiday and be kind to yourself, cycling is great exercise and it’s all about balance. Having some treats and getting back on the strict wagon afterwards sounds like a great mindset.

sorry to those I’ve missed , just a flying visit here as very busy with funeral organising and work and general life chaos, but I wanted to catch il and tell everyone how proud I am of all of us.

Remember what life was like for us when we started this, right at the beginning ? And look at all the wonderful achievements and changes each one of us has experienced?! what a journey! We are amazing xx
