Feeling a bit meh today. Not sure if it’s due to going up to 7.5 on Wednesday evening or just end of term exhaustion or a virus. Either way feeling tired and achey and shivery.
Anyway, it’s Friday, it’s cooler and I can take an afternoon nap if I want to 🤣
congrats to everyone with losses. My NSV this week was doing the belt up on a dress to the last hole 😊

Sorry to hear that. I took my first 7.5mg last night.
Great NSV!

Coventree · 18/07/2025 18:57

Congrats on all the losses, new belt notches, and smaller shirt sizes!

I got new bras this week and wow, what a difference the right scaffolding makes! Mind you, it took me 2 size calculators and 4 different purchases of sizes to get the right ones…bras confuse me 🤪. And disappointingly, my belly looks bigger now that it’s not one amorphous mass with the boobs 😂

Have a fab weekend all ❤️

TheSilentSister · 18/07/2025 23:40

Hi All. I was with you all at the start in April but haven't posted for a while. I've lost 1 stone and it's stayed the same for 2 months! So, I've taken the plunge and ordered 7.5, which I start this w/e.
The best bit about the weight loss is I have more energy and my joints don't ache, it's fantastic. I was genuinely about to sign up for PIP, so WL injections was a last ditch attempt. I don't know why the weight loss has been so slow. Maybe my age, 57, on AD's, didn't have a massive amount to loose.

Loving the before and after pics. Proper transformations! Well done everyone.

StartingApril2025 · 19/07/2025 00:33

Hi everyone , had a week of 3.75mg then had my check in appointment with GP. My home scales are not that accurate but Iv been weighed consistently every 4 weeks on the gp scales who reassures me they are correct. Despite half the month on holiday I have lost 8lbs this month ( I find this hard to believe!) so in total am 30pounds down in 12 weeks. Only one person appears to have noticed any weight loss and my clothes are only slightly looser which is crazy - they must have been so tight before! I think I’d need to Lose another stone to go down a dress size.
Have got a 5mg pen now but did another 3.75mg today as have a busy week of entertaining visitors and don’t want to risk loads of side effects . Will hopefully try the 5mg for the next jab . Going to try and eat some more calories this weeks as I did a few days counting and realise I am probably eating a bit low. Hope everyone has a good weekend!

Scousebloke · 19/07/2025 08:02

After 13 weeks of practically zero alcohol and clean eating I've had 2 occasions drinking this week. First last Saturday night me and my wife visited a couple we had not seen for a while and I had a few Brandy and Cokes with a just eat delivery of pizza. Then on Wednesday I went to Manchester to see Oasis and had several pints before the gig and more junk food.
Scales today gave me my first weekly gain of 2lb's. Bugger. I was in the 2 stone club for a week but no longer. Self inflicted i suppose.
Ah well, hopefully lose it again this week.

BeachBodyAim · 19/07/2025 10:43

SW 17.7
C/W 15.3
WK 13 loss 2lb
Total loss 32lb

Can’t believe we are 3 months into this already!!!!
Well done everyone on your weight losses and NSV!!!!
@Scousebloke you’ve done amazing so far and I bet the Oasis concert was brilliant!!! You’ll soon have that 2lb off and more!!!
Hope everyone has a great weekend!!

Scousebloke · 19/07/2025 11:17

@BeachBodyAim well done on another great loss and yes the Oasis gig was fab x

toobusytoclean · 19/07/2025 13:29

@Scousebloke Only a 2lb gain after alcohol and junk food is a win surely? Before MJ my weight would definitely have jumped with bloating by at least 3 or 4lbs for the following week.
Im looking for recommendations on something to keep my pen cool when flying off on holiday. I’m going hand luggage only but will pass my needles to my friend who is flying out earlier with checked luggage.
Also do you need any paperwork (prescription details) to take the pen in hand luggage?

PoisonIvy89 · 19/07/2025 15:51

Great losses! @Merlin23 @Crunchymum @violetmondays @StartingApril2025 @BeachBodyAim

@TheSilentSister Nice to "see" you again! We've lost a few people along the way and I always wonder how they are doing.
Stalling for so long must be so frustrating, well done for persevering. More energy and less pain are huge improvements and better than any scale numbers!

@Scousebloke we all need a break occasionally, hope you enjoyed your week and Oasis, that 2lb will disappear again soon!

Weigh in day and 12th dose done. I've lost 1.2lbs this week on my first week of 3.75mg.
That brings my total to 28.3lbs so I'm giving myself a gold star for losing 2stone and for losing over 10% and for doings lots of exercise this week⭐

Hope everyone is having a great weekend x

StartingApril2025 · 19/07/2025 17:23

@toobusytoclean I just kept in the box in a clear plastic bag. I had a letter from Gp but not one person asked me about it and I saw several others with it at the security too.

Coventree · 19/07/2025 18:45

Well done @PoisonIvy89, @BeachBodyAim, @Scousebloke, @StartingApril2025, and everyone else, love hearing the successes ❤️

Beachbabes · 19/07/2025 20:56

@Scousebloke we all need a break from the clean eating etc, life has to carry on. 2lb is nothing in the grand scheme of things. I’m a mad oasis fan and have been watching clips of all the concerts. I will see them in Dublin in a few weeks, can’t wait!

@toobusytoclean I have travelled through airports a few times with my own ans nothing was checked. It’s the same type of pen as diabetics, it’s not an issue to bring with you. I bought a cooler pouch that has little freezer bags in it on shein, but they have them on Amazon too and very chrap. It will keep the pen cool til you get to your destination.

Zebracat · 19/07/2025 22:36

I weighed today at 92.7, so that’s a .5
loss.

TheSilentSister · 19/07/2025 23:15

@PoisonIvy89 - Thank you and well done on your weight loss, that's brilliant.
@Scousebloke - I saw Oasis at their last final tour, lol. It was mad. Well worth gaining 2lbs for.

With those mentioning alcohol, I must admit that I've continued drinking, it's my only guilty pleasure these days. Definitely not eating as much food and stopped snacking, as just don't fancy it. So, in hindsight, my slow/stagnant weight loss is to be expected. Will be interesting to see what difference 7.5 makes. I only need a few more pounds to go below 11 stone, which was my original goal.

What do any of you plan to do once you hit your goal weight? Gradually taper down the dose and then stop? It's a scary thought for sure.

PumpKim · 20/07/2025 06:45

Morning all, I haven't been on much this week, massive project at work launching tomorrow has kept me busy.

Well done on all the fab losses and NSVs.

Official weigh day and another 0.7lb off. Going in the right direction slowly but surely. I can't help wishing it was a bit faster though... I know, I know 🤪

I've considered going up to 7.5 for my next pen. I'm not overeating or ravenously hungry, but thought it might help keep the momentum going. I've got 2 doses of 5 left, using the extra dose.

Speaking of drinking. I haven't touched alcohol since I started, I was never a big drinker anyway, more of a big night out binger once in a blue moon. I'm out all day on Saturday for a friend's birthday and that friend group really do like to drink, not sure whether to secretly stick to mocktails and avoid being in a round or just have a drink - nervous of it making me ill though.

Very envious of all those with Oasis tickets, we had no luck, but I did see them quite a few times throughout the 90s and early 2000s probably for less cash in total than one ticket costs this time (and that includes the cost of Glastonbury tickets 🤣) so I'll take comfort in that 🤣
I am going to see Pulp on Friday though and I can't wait! Yes I'm a 90s teenager, can you tell 😁

toobusytoclean · 20/07/2025 08:28

@TheSilentSister i too am a plodder who has kept drinking alcohol. Same age as you and have only just made the 1 stone club. I’m definitely drinking less alcohol than before MJ and have actually found a mid strength rose that I was enjoying with my dinner. However since moving up to 7.5 on Wednesday I have preferred water with my meal. Only a couple of days in and it may be more to do with not feeling great at the moment but I’m curious to see if it continues.
@PumpKim Agree about ticket prices, saw so many bands in the 90s from Pulp at the Leadmill to Oasis at Knebworth. It is such a rip off today. I am however envious of those who got oasis tickets would have loved to see them one last time.

Merlin23 · 20/07/2025 14:22

How is everyone looking to end the mounjaro journey?
I am hoping to go to my ideal weight, which I personally feel is a bit low. Then go back down through the mg so down to 5mg then 2.5mg, then stop and if I put a little back on then try and maintain. Im thinking beginning of next year if my weight keeps coming off as it is.
As there is no way I could continue to pay monthly for the rest of my life.

I am worried about learning to eat again as I'm rarely hungry and eat to survive.

TheSilentSister · 20/07/2025 14:29

@toobusytoclean - I was kinda hoping that MJ would suppress my desire to drink alcohol as it does with food. Taking my 1st 7.5 tomorrow, so we'll see.
@Merlin23 - Yes, I was hoping to taper off the MJ as I can't afford to continue for much longer. I think if you stay with the same provider, they'll let you re-start even if your BMI is OK. Heck, I might even join a gym, as it'll be cheaper.

I was thinking about joining the gym too as it will be cheaper and hopefully stop osteoporosis as us women of a certain age are more prone to.

Megsdaughter · 20/07/2025 15:31

I dropped back to 3.75 from 5mg as I had awful nausea ( like permanent morning sickness).

I'm not getting much suppression though at 3.5. I have thought of going to 4mg next week and then 4.5 the following week until I get back to 5. Has anybody else done this?

Scousebloke · 20/07/2025 19:48

@merlin. I took up walking about 2 months ago and I'm currently doing about 6 miles of an evening. It's quite easy during these months while it's light till 9pm. When the nights close in and it's dark, cold and windy I'm probably gonna join a gym and mainly concentrate on treadmill, bike and rowing machine, should do some weights but don't think I can be arsed lol. Still plan on staying on mj into the new year and then coming down the doses. Bit scared I will put the weight back on but obviously hope I can keep it off.

It's so much harder in the winter.
I walk a minimum 12500 steps now and my 3 work days I do much more.
Thank you for your reply.
We've got this it's just worrying the not knowing after we stop.

PoisonIvy89 · 20/07/2025 22:03

Thanks @TheSilentSister, good luck with your first 7.5!

Great losses @Zebracat @PumpKim I hear ya I'm impatient too, if only losing it could be as quick and easy as gaining it!

@Megsdaughter it makes sense to try increasing slowly, hope the nausea gets better

Hi @Megsdaughter- I dropped back to 3.75 for the 4th dose of my second pen because I felt so nauseous. I had done 3 doses at 5mg and felt worse with each dose. I never vomited and had no other symptoms - just very powerful appetite suppression and constant nausea. I toyed with the idea of staying on 3.75 but my weight loss stopped so I went straight back up to 5mg the next week.

I had less nausea after going back up - I think my body just needed to get used to the higher dose.

I am now on the first week of my 4th pen (3rd 5mg pen) and I still have good suppression. I have some very minor nausea if I don’t eat (like morning sickness) and I can feel pretty rough if I eat too much rich food (too much can be very little though!)

I am on holiday at the moment, so haven’t weighed for 2 weeks, but I have definitely been losing - my clothes are quite loose and I look and feel so much better.

I hope you feel better - whatever you decide to do.
