@Ricoletti . Sorry for your loss. Hope it is a comfort that your grandma had a peaceful passing x
I'm sure she was thankful to have you around the last few days. You come across as a lovely person on here x

Brunocatmon · 15/07/2025 22:46

@Ricolettiim so sorry for your loss. Look after yourself x

BeachBodyAim · 15/07/2025 22:53

@Ricoletti i am so sorry for your loss 🥺 thinking of you and your loved ones x

wlinewbie0425 · 16/07/2025 05:38

Well done on your loss @Beachbabes

Wednesday weight in for me for end of Week 12 and it’s another steady 1.4lb which I am very happy with.

updating shotsy I spotted a mini milestone that got me thinking… 15% loss since day 1 jab and the beginning of our late April thread.

this is amazing to me, and even more so when I think to reading the studies about what to expect. Does anyone else think those underestimated the true impact of these drugs? the surmount trials show 15% loss for those taking 5mg after 72weeks. (The 22% often quoted was at 15mg) I’ve just hit that after 12weeks and still on 5mg! . And anecdotally from here and other threads I think I’m quite average- many lose a lot faster. just my early morning musings. Hope the rest of the Wednesday weigh in gang have some good results today.

@Ricolettiso sorry to hear your sad news, give yourself the time you need to readjust after these last few weeks before feeling any pressure to be/do anything, the scales will be there when you are ready to get back on them and not before, and so will all of us x

GoGoGovy · 16/07/2025 07:25

That’s interesting @wlinewbie0425 . I wonder if the average 22% includes all of the people who have decided to quit during the study? I would imagine a few do in the early days when the SE’s can be debilitating. Even on go slow wegovy, I’ve lost 9%, although I have gone up a pen every 4 weeks. I think the 17 month average loss for wegovy is 17%
It would be interesting to hear what everyone else’s percentages are.

Coventree · 16/07/2025 07:34

Well done @wlinewbie0425 👏. I just checked Shotsy after your comment and I too am at 15% loss 🌟 so it’ll be interesting to see others’ percentages as @GoGoGovy says.

Weigh-in for me - 3lbs lost this week and I’m into the 12 stones! So happy with that 🎉 and 33lbs lost in total 🎉. Jab number 13 coming up later, 7.5mg working really well at the moment.

Coventree · 16/07/2025 07:46

My Shotsy chart’s a little more chaotic over the last few weeks than your elegant, smooth descent 🤣

Late April ‘25 starters - thread 4
wlinewbie0425 · 16/07/2025 08:00

@GoGoGovyI’m pretty sure it doesn’t as it mentions how many abandoned it from each set of doses as another set of %s and also the data I quoted from is at 72 weeks so only for those who made it that far.

haha snap @Coventreeand I think we are pretty average for this thread. The only reason my graph is smoother is cos I only add one weight a week on there beside each jab. My digital scales one that has a daily reading is much more spiky! And also well done on the new stone bracket 🥳

Sorry for your loss @Ricoletti be kind to yourself, grief is exhausting 💐

Interesting re: percentage lost, I'm off to find out mine...

Coventree · 16/07/2025 08:21

Ah, I thought it might be something like that - and to be fair, mine only goes chaotic around the 14 2 mark as it was at that point I started using Shotsy and linked it to my daily scales!

Crunchymum · 16/07/2025 09:16

@Ricoletti just to echo everyone else.

I'm sorry for your loss but glad to hear your grandma passed peacefully. Sometimes it's all we can hope for.

Keep well, don't worry about anything other than the essentials and we'll all be here when you get back to the weight loss stuff.

Crunchymum · 16/07/2025 09:21

Just did a rough calculation and so far I am at a 14.3% loss.

W12D5 / -25lb.

Sheldon4k · 16/07/2025 10:07

Re percentage, ready to take jab 13 today (which will be my last for 4 weeks whilst I go away) and I am at 14.7%.

I had 4 weeks at 2.5mg, 1 at 3mg, 4 at 3.75mg and then the last 2 back at 2.5mg, and tonight's will be remainder of the pen (im guessing maybe 1.5mg). Weirdly these last 2 weeks at 2.5mg have been much more comfortable than the 3.75s and I have lost the same amount of weight as I was losing each week on the higher dose too. So when I get back I think I will return and stay on 2.5mg until I get to my goal weight.

Wish me luck for the next 4 weeks without MJ! 😬😬

Coffeeandallthebooks · 16/07/2025 10:48

Well done on your losses today, and the percentages are really impressive too!

I agree that the studies may have included people who dropped out, especially if they were over 72 weeks. Some studies have indicated up to 15% of participants could not tolerate MJ which would be a significant number which could affect average loss.

I've just checked and I'm at 11% loss, as at 10 weeks, so i think we're a good bunch of losers!

@Sheldon4k I hope you have the most amazing time, and I do wish you luck, although you are doing so well I dont think you'll need it!

violetmondays · 16/07/2025 14:35

According to shotsy I have lost 14% - that's over 12 weeks and a total of 26lbs.

I started on 2.5 for 4 weeks, then the golden dose which was about 3mg, and 7 weeks on 3.75.

Good luck @Sheldon4k and have an awesome trip!

PoisonIvy89 · 16/07/2025 19:13

Great loss @wlinewbie0425 @Coventree

Well done everyone, great percentages!

My percentage loss so far on week 11 is 9.8%

@Sheldon4k good luck and have a great holiday!

SweetChilliGirl · 16/07/2025 19:56

I just checked too and am sitting at a 15.5% loss after 13 weeks.

Coffeeandallthebooks · 17/07/2025 10:05

Morning everyone, how are you all today?

Had my Week 11 WI and lost 3lbs!

Now at 12.7% lost and 25lbs

SW 15 1
CW 13 4
GW 10

I also went to the gym last night for the first time in 18 years! I went with my niece, everything was good, even bumped into a friend's dd in the changing room and said hi.

I've been obese since childhood and have hardly ever tried exercise in public as I'm too ashamed after years of bullying during PE and at swimming. But this was OK and I really want to be healthier, so I think I will be going back!

dozywelshbird · 17/07/2025 16:03

PoisonIvy89 · 16/07/2025 19:13

Great loss @wlinewbie0425 @Coventree

Well done everyone, great percentages!

My percentage loss so far on week 11 is 9.8%

@Sheldon4k good luck and have a great holiday!

I think we are MJ twins @PoisonIvy89 as mine is 9.7% 😃

Excellent work @Coffeeandallthebooks I think we convince ourselves it'll be worse than it actually is...

finding I am very hungry this week even though a tooth extraction has made eating tricky... I'm wanting chocolate, which I hardly every crave, more of a cheese/savoury snacker - TOTM not due yet although I am peri so in reality it could be hormonal 🙄

PoisonIvy89 · 17/07/2025 22:01

Great loss @Coffeeandallthebooks and well done for going to the gym!! That's a big and very positive step after so long! I am not as brave as you so will stick to exercising in the privacy of my house where nobody can see me get red and sweaty

@dozywelshbird fingers crossed we both get into the double digits soon!

Merlin23 · 17/07/2025 22:25

It is so lovely to read how well everyone is doing.

At the end of week 12 (jab 13 taken)
4lbs loss this week.
Im now at 35lbs lost 17.5% body weight lost
NSV work ordered a new polo 4 sizes smaller.
I admit the other one has always been big but so happy to hopefully look normal at work. It's become a running joke now as I shrink.

Moved to 7.5mg this week, hopefully no side effects.

Keep going everyone we've got this.

Crunchymum · 18/07/2025 07:01

Morning all.

Wasn't expecting much this week as its time of the month and I feel quite bloated so I'm thrilled with a -1.5lb loss.

That's -26.5lbs in 12 weeks!! Hoping to hit the -2st mark next week before I go away.

SW: 187.5lb (13st 5.5lbs)
CW: 161lb (11st 7lbs)
GW: 126lbs (9st)

Week 13 for me, I'm sticking with 7.5mg.

I'm very short by the hence the quite "low" goal weight.

Coffeeandallthebooks · 18/07/2025 10:02

Well done for your losses @Merlin23 and @Crunchymum! Happy Friday, you are both doing so well.

Thank you for my gym congrats, I'll have to go back soon instead of leaving it another 18 years this time! 😂

violetmondays · 18/07/2025 10:42

Morning all and happy Friday! Great losses @Crunchymum @Merlin23 @wlinewbie0425 @Coventree and anyone I've missed - and well done @Coffeeandallthebooks on going to the gym and wanting to go back!

Weigh in day for me and I have lost 3lb this week! Not sure how and I am slightly thinking it might be one of those flukey weigh-ins, but I'm taking it for now.

SW: 13st 3
CW: 11st 3.5
GW: 9.5st (although may stop at 10)
Lost: 27.5lb

I believe I am half a pound off my 2 stone milestone! Hope to get that off this week. I was going to go up to 5mg this week but as I had a bit of a whoosh this week I decided to stay on 3.75mg for now.

Have a great weekend all 😊
