I’m (unfortunately) still all tummy and boob @Crunchymum! My droopy drawers must have been due to loss from my bum and thighs. I flippin’ hate boob sweat but it’s still going strong…maybe this time next year will be better!

Great work on all the losses 👏

ymemanresu · 10/07/2025 21:26

Congratulations on the losses everyone. Just one dulcolax and a few jalapeños last night did the trick for this morning, woo woo 🤣

SweetChilliGirl · 10/07/2025 21:48

Up thread I proudly said that I'd lost two stone (now 1 stone 13 🙄) and I am proud. But I am a little frustrated that it seems to have come off everywhere except my tummy! So I'm hoping the next stone is all tummy fat loss. The menopause really is a bastard.

Anyway, that means that all the size 12 clothes I could fit into six years ago or so, when I was last this weight, don't fit around the middle, or are unflattering. Has anyone else found this? I'm 51 so am assuming it is a redistribution of body fat age-related thing.

Sheldon4k · 11/07/2025 06:55

@SweetChilliGirl I can totally relate to that. Just prior to covid I lost around 3 stone and at that point I was (as of this morning 7.9lb less and fit very comfortably in a size 10 shorts/skirt) therefore I fully expected all of the size 12s to at least fit me now. I can get them on and could wear under a long top but im finding that across my stomach they look tight, waist is fine, everything just looks stretched and unflattering across the stomach.
I'm therefore thinking that the few 10's i have left will probably never fit again as I don't really want to go a great deal below what I weighed before as everyone kept saying I looked ill!

dozywelshbird · 11/07/2025 08:53

same @SweetChilliGirl and @Sheldon4k I am also 51 and perimenopausal, whilst I have always been apple shaped, I am even more so now, and it seems belly is the last thing to go and is the most noticeable thing in clothes 😒if anyone has any amazing tips that would be great

Happy Friday everyone 😁

Zebracat · 11/07/2025 09:53

Well I don’t know if this is a tip, but I’ve always been a proper Apple. My waist was 47 at the start and I think it’s 39 now. Dh says my belly’s all but gone. I swim almost every day . 50 lengths of front crawl .

Lidlbitofmonica · 11/07/2025 13:24

Weigh in day here, 3lbs down from last week, woohoo! Taking me to 12st 11.5lb….frustratingly half a pound short of 2 stone down from January! (Lost a few pounds pre-mounjaro). But reached my goal of being under 13 stone for my holiday next week so happy with this.
4th jag of 7.5 today, my suppression has definetly reduced, but I’m still not totally happy with my digestion/constipation so going to reduce to 5mg for my holiday and hopefully willpower will keep me on an even keel!

Well done, you're all but at -2st so don't worry it's coming!!

I see you decided to drop back to 5mg for your holiday. I'm doing another month at 7.5mg as I've been okay on it (not much suppression but I don't want to chance 10mg when I'm away myself in 2 weeks time)

I need to tweak my MJ day as I'm now on another injection for my autoimmune arthritis (along with MJ I have 3 injections a week now 😑) so MJ will be moved to Saturday.

Lidlbitofmonica · 11/07/2025 14:18

That’s a lot of jags @Crunchymum , hope this new one does the job for your arthritis.
Yes I think I’m safer dropping down, as I’ll be less in control of what food there is there, and I don’t want to risk being unwell in a room with my family! Still planning making good choices, seeing it as a test of my brain retraining around eating….lets see how it goes!

violetmondays · 11/07/2025 14:58

Just a quick Friday check-in, stayed on 3.75 again for the 7th week as I have a friends birthday lunch this weekend and would like to enjoy it.

I did still lose 1.5lb this week so it's still working for now 😍

Hope everyone is enjoying the weather and not melting too much!

PumpKim · 11/07/2025 18:11

Another Apple shape here 🙋‍♀️🍏
Been an apple all my life, even when slim I had no discernable waist.
Trousers are often too tight on the waist and too big on my hips and bum.

@Sheldon4k @SweetChilliGirl @Zebracat @dozywelshbird

I follow Style Me Happy (insta and Facebook) for ideas on dressing for my shape and season. She's a big advocate and feeling good and looking good in the skin you're in, not waiting until you've shed the pounds.

I tend to stick to dresses. V necks and wraps are a good option .

Scousebloke · 11/07/2025 18:17

How about this for a non scale victory.
HBa1c blood results mean:
Under 42 is normal
43 to 47 is pre diabetes
Over 48 is in the type 2 diabetes range.
I was pre diabetes for a decade until last year when I went into the diabetic range.
My last 3 blood results have gone 55, 53, 55, with the last one being 3 months ago.
Had bloods taken on Tuesday and got the results today. 39. I can't believe it.
Best score for about 15 years.

wlinewbie0425 · 11/07/2025 18:28

@Scouseblokethat’s amazing congratulations! I would go so far as to say that’s the most significant loss on this thread to date. What a huge impact on your health in only 3 months ! Smile

So great I said it thrice! Sorry about that - on the train and it didn’t want to go 😂

@Sheldon4k @dozywelshbird @Zebracat @PumpKim
Might be a case of accepting my new shape and dressing accordingly then. Thanks for replying and sorry it's the same for you all too!

Scousebloke · 11/07/2025 21:07

@wlinewbie0425 thanks for your positive words and to the numerous posters who hit the heart emoji on my post regarding my diabetic blood sugars. I'm delighted with it. Saturday morning is weigh in time for me and if I have a 2lb loss I will hit the 2 stone mark. Would be a lovely end to a great week for me.

dozywelshbird · 11/07/2025 22:02

Agree with @PumpKim wrap and v neck dresses are a good option, I am very large of nork too 🤦‍♀️ so they can help avoid the matronly look. Luckily I am fairly tall, I have found some jumpsuits work well too.

dozywelshbird · 11/07/2025 22:04

Well done @Scousebloke that's an awesome NSV 😄

PoisonIvy89 · 11/07/2025 22:15

Well done @Crunchymum @Coffeeandallthebooks @Lidlbitofmonica @violetmondays

@AbundanceofKatherines have a great holiday!

@ymemanresu congrats! 💩😂

@Scousebloke Wow that's a big drop, well done!!!

Jab 11 for me tomorrow and I'm planning to try 3.75mg, bit nervous about side effects but have a long weekend off work so it's a good time to try it

Scousebloke · 12/07/2025 05:35

End of week 12 this morning so a date with the scales.
Lost 2lb this week meaning I join the 2 stone club. Lovely.
Jab 13 tonight.

Coventree · 12/07/2025 07:09

Congrats @Scousebloke, what a fab week for you!

Hope the move up is okay @PoisonIvy89 and 🤞 for minimal impact and maximum effect.

Great work @violetmondays - and enjoy your lunch out 🥗

Ouch @Crunchymum, hope the extra injection helps.

@Lidlbitofmonica have a fab holiday ☀️

Glad the jalapeños are working @ymemanresu 😁

Have a lovely Saturday everyone ☀️

PumpKim · 12/07/2025 08:31

Thought I'd got away with the allergic reaction this week. Made sure the site was extra clean, jabbed stomach instead of thigh to see if that made a difference, took stronger antihistamine a couple of days before and continuing now, and applied hydrocortisone straight away.
No such luck, still reacted although the red skin is much smaller than previously, still itchy though ☹️
Weirdly the reaction on my thigh from the week before also flared up slightly after this jab too!

Hope it's not going to be forever, it's annoying more than anything.

I’m still getting the reactions too 😟 Doesn’t seem to matter what I do beforehand and I think my stomach is worse in terms of itchiness 🤷‍♀️

Congrats @Scousebloke great loss and health stats!
