So I lost a pound this week after my three pound loss the week before. I am happy to be averaging around the two pound a week mark at this stage. I do expect it to slow down.

Like others, I am thinking hard about my next dose. I am struggling slightly with suppression, but feeling very tired on the 8.3 dose I had from 10mg pen.

I have a fairly quiet week next week though so I might take 9mg and see what happens! I’m working in France the week after and will need to be on top form.

HeidiNotSoHeavy · 10/06/2025 08:55

I've put on weight after the weekend in spain, but will consider it a normal fluctuation unless proven otherwise.

My legs though, they are refusing to slim down. I'm not pearshaped, no saddle bag shaped thighs, entire leg is just like a pillar. Had some photos taken next to a friend who is at least 3 sizes bigger than me, and our legs look exactly the same. I don't need to lose more weight from upper body, I really wish there was an option to spot-reduce. Thanks, ancestors, yes I'm sure those legs were useful for farming, but elegant they are not.

I try to eat circa 900-1000 cals a day. Yesterday I got off a train after not having any breakfast and didn’t fancy anything at all so I bought the chicken mini fillets and this (horrible as it turns out) courgetti chicken and mushroom thing as I knew that the office I was working from had a microwave.

By the time I got home (after 8pm) I was knackered and not hungry so I just had 100g of red grapes with some herbal tea. Tbf I probably have two of these days most weeks.

I can’t remember what my TDEE is now tbh. I think Ouskh will advise me to increase my dose don’t you? I don’t fancy that at the moment.

Calories in - Calories out - not true. I do wonder if stress and the effect of that on my physiology is hampering things, as well as menopause, not through it technically and I still get lots of adenomyosis pain mid cycle so I’m sure things are happening even if there’s nothing outward.

I think you’re probably right about Oushkk but they’ll probably also tell you to try to eat more calories as counter intuitive as that may seem. Stress is a known contributor to weight gain/ retention, the adrenal system can go into fight or flight mode. I had this issue a few years ago during a really stressful time in my life. I definitely think you should have a word with Oushkk, it’s horrible when you’re trying so hard and nothing’s shifting. Good luck and let us know how you get on ( if you want to share!)

CurlsandCurves · 10/06/2025 09:13

3lb off this week, so 2 stone 1lb off in total. I’ve only ever dropped 3lb once before right at the start, so this was very welcome!

7.5 has well and truly kicked in, suppression is high but I can still eat, albeit not a great deal. I’m just trying to get the most nutrients in as possible with what I can eat.

@TomorrowPenny sorry to hear you’re having a tough time. Have you spoken to your provider? Are you feeling ok in yourself on such a low calorie intake?

DGonMJ · 10/06/2025 09:30

@TomorrowPenny agree with others on ringing Oushk, but also can you take a look at your overall weight loss trend? Is it worth breaking out of the daily weigh in and going to once a week or even once a month? It really doesn’t sound like you need any more suppression, you’re way below your BMR. Maybe take a break from calorie tracking for a week and let yourself eat what you crave. I’m sure you are, but just in case, are you taking supplements to ensure you hit minimum nutritional requirements?

@HeidiNotSoHeavy i keep getting served Instagram reels showing women in different stages of Lipodema. They mention the ‘straight up and down’ leg.

I’ve hit a new low of 60kg on the juniper scales. 60.4kg on Renpho. This was the original goal set by juniper back in January. It was always my ‘rock bottom’, but now I’m there I’m going to put the juniper scales away for good. I’m definitely lowering the dose this weekend. Suppression is still high today but I’ve had an egg on toast for breakfast, done 20mins of gentle yoga.

cloudjumper · 10/06/2025 09:35

@TomorrowPenny Are you drinking enough and getting enough sleep? Those factors can play a big role in weight loss, but they are often not being taken into account.
And ironically, not eating enough can indeed also lead to slowing down weight loss, as the body goes into starvation mode and tends to hang on to valuable fat stores.

discov · 10/06/2025 09:55

@HeidiNotSoHeavy@DGonMJ I was going to mention lipedema too. Column shaped legs is one of the identifiers. I am pretty sure I have it too, but probably the lowest stage there is. It’s pretty obvious my DM has it but she’s never been diagnosed. GLP-1 medication is meant to be great for it due to the inflammation.

HeidiNotSoHeavy · 10/06/2025 10:01

I've seen those lipedema reels as well, but not sure really, don't have any other symptoms and legs have always been like that, since I was a child. If it is that then yes, MJ should indeed help.

It’s a funny one as I see a lot of it too, and there’s a few symptoms that I don’t have at all - such as pain (thankfully!). I am not jumping to be diagnosed as there’s not much you can do about it anyway, but it’s helped me accept that I’m never going to be all smooth and svelte!

But there’s also a lot to be said for people simply having different shaped bodies rather than it being anything ‘diagnosable.’

Did somebody say 'crumpets?' I LOVE crumpets, and it was my go to breakfast until January. I haven't had one since - but had a huge urge for them on the weekend and may have to succumb soon...lots of butter and Vegemite. And definitely two, not one 😜

Jabbed my bonus dose yesterday, was 0.5lb down which I call a win given I'm on. Usually go up...so now sitting at 9stone 5lbs.

Still feeling very suppressed from 7.5mg, 5 jabs in. Have another 7.5mg pen and have moved my goal to 9stone 😱 I've decided my plan is to get there and then go on hols in 5 weeks. Not jab while I'm gone (jab 3 days before I go) and come back to maintenance...

That's the plan for now anyway...it might all change (again)

I’m also 9st 5 right now! I love a crumpet but never ever buy them as I always forget they exist. Might have to purchase a pack now…

I’m also feeling very suppressed on 7.5. I’ll be starting my third 7.5 pen this week! It’s the only dose I have had more than 1 pen of, and weirdly this week I feel as suppressed as I did right at the start in January. Very strange how it all works. I’ve definitely not been eating enough this week and slacking a lot on protein so need to stop getting complacent and refocus. And drink some bloody water! I was like a fish at the start but not so much now.

HeidiNotSoHeavy · 10/06/2025 10:51

@discov yes, the friend I mentioned has slim legs, but is so apple shaped that even when slim, people always asked her when the baby was due. We're all different.

HeidiNotSoHeavy · 10/06/2025 11:04

Can I recommend a brand? Clicked on a facebook ad, and as we all know, sometimes those things are very much a miss. https://oglmove.com/
They have a ton of built in bra tops and dresses, I've never been able to wear those, but now I can, as my boobs have shrunk and I no longer need to worry about tight tops clinging to stomach rolls. I have several different models, love them. Shipped from Hong Kong, so delivery takes a while though.

Just had my maintenance call with Oushk! I was worried I wouldn’t be close enough to goal as I booked it back in March and had a sticking point last month, but I’m 5lbs off so all good.

It was with the lead pharmacist Hira who is lovely (and stunning!!). She has put me on the Conti plan which is basically an ongoing dose so I can stick to 7.5 until I am happy then I’ll move onto ‘Taper’ which is where they supper you in titrating down the doses. But you don’t have to do this - if you wanted to stay on your current dose longer term then you are allowed to.

They send you three 15% off codes to use and you get free delivery too so I’m happy with that!

Ill be starting my next 7.5 pen this week, then may order another one as I’m thinking of adjusting my goal down to 8st 7, then think about titrating down.

So weird to get my head around that I’m going to be in maintenance mode and not need to lose any weight for the first time in my life!! What will I think about all day instead 😅

Polkadotdash · 10/06/2025 13:45

On the crumpets thing, I saw a meme recently that asked ‘why do they sell crumpets in packs of 9?’ No one eats a single crumpet, everyone has two, so what are you supposed to do with the spare one? 🤣

CurlsandCurves · 10/06/2025 13:50

Because of my shift pattern, I often skip breakfast and have brunch around midday.

i am currently loving 2 crumpet thins, with a bacon medallion and a poached egg on top of each- divine!

Zempy · 10/06/2025 13:55

Not a fan of crumpets. I’m ND and am weird about certain food textures.

Heidi we should arrange to swap body halves like a pack of Misfits!! Despite being 3.5 stone lighter, I still look like Humpty Dumpty in regards to body shape. Skinny arms and legs, absolutely no arse whatsoever, but still carrying a rucksack sized mound of flab down my front. Boobs are still gigantic at 32G, and stomach still has upper half (solid dome) and lower half (squishy butter mountain) so I cannot find a pair of jeans that doesn’t look ridiculous on me. I might try some men’s jeans.

HeidiNotSoHeavy · 10/06/2025 14:29

Ha @Zempy , me and abovementioned friend always joked that we should share the legs - she couldn't buy boots as they were always flapping around her calves and I couldn't, as they would not zip up.
And instead of whining about my legs, I could appreciate that I can't even do my jabs in my stomach any more - there's no fat left.

Zempy Sounds like we are body twins! Gigantic boobs and a rucksack of flab - what a catch! 😂

Zempy · 10/06/2025 15:40

@MJalltheway we’ve still got it!!!

UnderandOverwhelmed · 10/06/2025 15:59

Grrrr DPD didn't leave my oushk delivery as I was on a working call. Now they'll deliver it tomorrow when I'm very unlikely to be home as it's my day off with my DS and we are normally out and about at playgrounds. Will it stay cool overnight now? I'm going to have to moan at oushk.

BlueLimes · 10/06/2025 18:43

@discov yay for maintenance!! Did you need to show previous prescriptions? Give GP details etc ? I’m some way away but may book a call as I think there’s a bit of a wait.

BlueLimes · 10/06/2025 18:45

@MJalltheway @Zempy ill join you with the rucksack. So annoying. I had. pat session tiday and the gym analysis:scales was very rude indeed. Git !

Polkadotdash · 10/06/2025 19:01

@Zempy I’m the same shape as you. Egg on legs. Try these Zara jeans. They are the ones I bought last week. They seem to work for the apple shape (ignore that twig modelling them) https://www.zara.com/uk/en/zw-collection-wide-leg-high-waist-jeans-p09632253.html?v1=440152353&utm_source=google&utm_medium=cpc&gad_source=1&gad_campaignid=11369331984&gbraid=0AAAAADqbk7aPT_SMLHqeJaSB_ovPR9B70&gclid=CjwKCAjwr5_CBhBlEiwAzfwYuI_nMCHrENc-BJDfvbHFWNATlBMeXp3w2yxO2wiNpvTu043N8hHsNRoCmeYQAvD_BwE

BlueLimes · 10/06/2025 19:28

Not a pat down - a PT session. That would have been a very rude gym.
