😩, that 1lb has turned into 1kg this morning! I’ve just taken my fifth 5mg dose from this pen. Amazing how much was in the pen, about 0.8ml. I only took 0.6ml.

I ate sea bass, new potatoes and grilled veg last night. No alcohol or pudding, fizzy water all night ….. 90.6kg. 13.5kg lost in total. 😩😩😩😩😩

Morning all, happy new week, looking forward to the sunshine and no chub rub when I’m in the office in my dress on Thursday 👏.

@TomorrowPenny how frustrating😳. Do you find that you weigh more on certain days? I know that’s a random question but I jab on a Monday and find my ‘lightest’ day is a Friday and I put weight on over the weekend- I don’t eat more, so not sure why.
I’ve put on 1/2 pound since Saturday and I’ve been eating well, exercising etc.

3rd 10mg jab due today and I’m not convinced it’s the right dose tbh! I’ve lost a little overall this week which I’m pleased about but I had all the side effects for 3 days and I’m not finding much suppression, think I’ll finish this pen and if still the same going back to 7.5.

On the upside I measured this morning for the first time in a few weeks and I’m staggered!!
since I started I’ve lost 20cm off my chest, 20 off my waist, 15cm off my thigh and 9 off my arm!!

Happy Monday all.

UnderandOverwhelmed · 09/06/2025 09:03

Happy Monday all!
Anyone else feeling really confused by their weight sometimes. I've lost 50lbs and some days think I look quite good but then there was a photo taken yesterday and I still look huge! I look bigger than the 9 months pregnant person also in the photo! I'm now a large 14 i think, so objectively I shouldn't look as large as I appear to. I really hope I start seeing a solid difference soon, it's frustrating to have lost so much but changed so little.

DGonMJ · 09/06/2025 09:25

@TomorrowPenny how frustrating! Was it a particularly salty meal? That overnight kg is bound to be food and water.

@UnderandOverwhelmed 50lbs is an incredible achievement. I’m sure if you compare old photos of yourself to recent ones you’ll see the visible difference of how much trimmer you look. Angles, lens distortion, low confidence-fuelled body dysmorphia can all affect how we feel when we look at ourselves in a photo. Have you ever looked at a photo immediately taken and thought ‘omg that’s awful’ and then looked at it some time later and thought ‘what was I worried about, I look fine’

@2025istheyeari hooray for shrinkage! Very satisfying to see those numbers go down.

I didn’t sleep particularly well last night. Muscle aches (potentially from yesterday’s heavy weights session), but also I tend to sleep lightly the first night after a jab. But did a 30min peloton ride this morning and feel better for it. Have a good Monday everyone!

MissPobjoysPonies · 09/06/2025 11:15

It’s taken since new year but I’ve got below 12 stone! I’ve been a slow loser but in December I was 14st 2 and I’m not 11 st 13!

im literally 8lbs away from being “normal” weight and 2lbs from my original target weight!

people keep asking me how I’ve done it now and I’m struggling as have been a secret jabber - the thing is it hasn’t been easy, I’ve never had the 7lb in a week losses and so whilst it might seem quick to everyone else it’s been a slow ride to get here. But I look so different and am so happy!

TomorrowPenny · 09/06/2025 11:22

Well done @MissPobjoysPonies , that's fabulous. As is 50lbs @UnderandOverwhelmed , amazing loss.

I have no idea whether I weigh more on certain days, I just seem to weigh a lot most of the time tbh 😐. The odd increase, a loss of a kilo or two now and then. I picked up lunch from M&S today at the station, chargrilled chicken mini fillets for breakfast/dinner and a protein meal thing, total calories of those two things is less than 600 calories.

I'll be home late tonight, booked on a 7pm train back. Whether I eat anything else today remains to be seen, but know that I am not overeating, very frustrating.

My food wasn't particularly salty last night, seasoned pan fried sea bass and a normal amount of seasoning on the roasted vegetables, the new potatoes were just as they come, steamed/boiled/whatever.

Aimingdown · 09/06/2025 11:41

I’m a daily weigher as I find it less stressful that way. Definitely seeing fluctuations that don’t seem obviously linked to food, drink or even BM, but as long as there is a gentle downwards trend I’m good.

I’m 13kg down in just under 5 months, would have loved faster but I’m going for healthier eating and trying to listen to my body rather than calorie counting so I can’t really complain. Anybody who thinks they are slow - just compare your progress in 2025 with pretty much any other year!

IdentityCrisis101 · 09/06/2025 12:43

Morning all, I have been MIA.. life has been a little hectic with studying, work and life in general.

I am 10 stone 9lbs this morning, still undecided what weight i want to be but I am just within a BMI of 25 so have some room to keep losing. I am nearly 5 stone down in 18 months, but not all on MJ (3 lbs to go!).

One thing I have found is I haven't had one cold sore since starting Mounjaro (touch wood, I don't want to jinx it!), I was getting 2 a month sometimes before the MJ. Has anyone else found this?

HeidiNotSoHeavy · 09/06/2025 13:42

Absolutely @Aimingdown, i would have given up ages ago!

Had shopping planned for today but didn't buy a thing. Were shops always full of nasty polyester only? Not even nice soft polyester but the really unpleasant plasticy kind? Or linen, which looks cute and summery on other people, but on me it looks like I spent the night sleeping on the park bench.
Back to Vinted I guess, much more success there

MJalltheway · 09/06/2025 14:41

Polyester is my nemesis @HeidiNotSoHeavy , it's so hard to find clothes made from natural fibres these days.

properly craving a hot buttered crumpet right now 😭 instead I've had a satsuma and some almonds.
Daily fluctuations are so normal, it'll be down to fluid, undigested food, hormones etc. as long as we are trending downwards, that's the important bit. It really feels like a difficult point at the moment though, the novelty has well and truly worn off, I'm still only half way through what I want to lose so looking at the rest of the year at least on MJ. Got to keep grinding on!

cloudjumper · 09/06/2025 14:53

Yay, new fred!

I'm giving up trying to catch up on the previous one, it's onwards and upwards with this one now!
I've now been on 7.5 mg for 3 months, and last week, I put on weight for the first time 😩I'm hoping to reverse that this week! I had stopped tracking after my surgery, but now I'm back to work and normality is resuming. I'm still getting a lot of suppression, but have noticed how my late evening snacking has started to creep in again, which is probably the reason for the increase. Mind you, it wasn't even a kilo, so I'm not overly bothered about it (thinking that I might have well lost that again with the next big bowel movement 😂).

But I am wondering if I should go up to 10 mg... Part of me thinks no because there are obviously still some eating behaviours that I have not addressed yet, so I should be focussing on getting a grip on those.
I still have at least 10 kg to go before I get to my GW, really hoping I can pick up the steady pace again (or speed it up). Size 14 jeans are getting close (my size 16s are way to big now, but are better with my abdominal scar for now).

SW 100.7 kg
CW 81.2 kg
GW 70 kg

asparagusfearne · 09/06/2025 14:58

Happy Monday losers!

@MJalltheway ooh yes a crumpet! I don't think I've had one since Christmas. But let's be real, who can eat just one crumpet..?

I do weigh almost daily and it's very up and down, which is good for not feeling like I've had a STS week if I am actually the same on jab days, but also frustrating in only ever seeing little movements.

I'm 1.5lb down this week, but before that it's been 0, 0.5, 0, so I feel very overdue a whoosh! No social plans this week/end so I plan to keep things controlled.

Very similar here! I think I'm decided on increasing to 10mg this week, I will just take a bigger dose from my 7.5mg pen.

Therealmetherealme · 09/06/2025 16:44

Just been turned down by Zava, as a new customer on 5 mg ( bmi 26). Does anyone know if MedExpress still price match? I can’t find it on their site anymore.

Polkadotdash · 09/06/2025 17:41

@cloudjumper how’s the recovery going? Did you stay on MJ after surgery?
I have a new date for 2 July for my uterus eviction. Hoping it isn’t cancelled this time. In my head it’s going to speed up my weight loss by about a stone at least once it’s gone (this is wishful thinking, I know 😂)

Why not try one of the others, there are loads of pharmacies cheaper than MedExpress for 5mg. I've just moved to Lotus and it was very quick and straightforward.

@Polkadotdashfab that they’ve rescheduled your surgery now! Crossing everything that it goes ahead this time.
I never stopped MJ before or after the surgery - my consultant was happy for me to just continue as normal with it. I did lose quite lot of weight due to the surgery, simply because my fibroid was so big. But I’ll take that 😆

HeidiNotSoHeavy · 09/06/2025 18:38

I checked for my own surgery and position seems to be to continue the medication paper

MJalltheway · 09/06/2025 19:49

@HeidiNotSoHeavy didnt make it to boot camp today but that's because I'd got my weeks mixed up and it's next week my normal class isn't on. So it was my normal Zumba instead, absolutely love it. 😁600 cals burned 🥵

TomorrowPenny · 10/06/2025 06:44

I need a new name PenelopePerpetualPlateauer.

This was my intake yesterday. Some M&S chargrilled cooked mini chicken fillets, a protein courgetti thing from M&S and some grapes with my evening cup of herbal tea. Weight this morning 90.4kg, that’s 0.8kg more than when my weight actually shifted downward on Thursday.

I have got a bit of back/pelvic pain which could mean hormonal stuff.

😩😩😩😩😩😩😩

@TomorrowPenny 😢, I don’t have any answers but I had to send solidarity, that’s so frustrating. Is it worth speaking to Oushkk? They’ve always been brilliant and they may be able to offer some suggestions? 600 calories is insane, you can’t survive on that, I know it was a one off, but you would expect at least a small loss after that wouldn’t you? The fact you track means you can tell Oushk exactly what you’re eating and they may be able to offer advice?

MJalltheway · 10/06/2025 06:59

600 calories @TomorrowPenny ! That's so low! Is that a normal day for you? What's your TDEE? Can you try increasing for a week and see if that helps?

BreezyPeer · 10/06/2025 07:21

@TomorrowPenny I don't have advice, I am just sending good wishes for a whoosh! Xxx

TomorrowPenny · 10/06/2025 08:20

I try to eat circa 900-1000 cals a day. Yesterday I got off a train after not having any breakfast and didn’t fancy anything at all so I bought the chicken mini fillets and this (horrible as it turns out) courgetti chicken and mushroom thing as I knew that the office I was working from had a microwave.

By the time I got home (after 8pm) I was knackered and not hungry so I just had 100g of red grapes with some herbal tea. Tbf I probably have two of these days most weeks.

I can’t remember what my TDEE is now tbh. I think Ouskh will advise me to increase my dose don’t you? I don’t fancy that at the moment.

Calories in - Calories out - not true. I do wonder if stress and the effect of that on my physiology is hampering things, as well as menopause, not through it technically and I still get lots of adenomyosis pain mid cycle so I’m sure things are happening even if there’s nothing outward.
