Hi everyone!

I started MJ around this time last year, but due to costs and unforeseen family circumstances, I fell of the band wagon and took about 6 months off. I’m now a stone heavier than I was. I am back and ready to go again. First pen, back to 2.5mg, arriving tomorrow or Friday.

I found the last thread I was on very supportive so wondered if there’s a few people around who want to join me!

W1D3 for me and my appetite has been very low the last 2 days, I've not managed to hit my calorie target but done ok with protein. I've just eaten a chicken pitta for lunch and it is probably the biggest meal I've managed since injecting. Really enjoyed it, very satisfied with just the pitta and don't want any extra crisps or fruit like I would have done in the past. Minor digestive side effects yesterday seem to have passed, overall I'm feeling good and impressed/amazed at how quickly this is working for me.

I've just joined...😂😂😂 Took me ages to get scan right but great tool! Thank you 👍🏼

Me too - jesus that is not a flattering visual 😂.

Also took me ages to actually get the right angle. Brilliant tool, blows my mind how it works out... And that my arms and legs are all different sizes aha x

MontysMum909 · 10/06/2025 13:45

My worry is that my belly is bigger than my boobs 🫤

Anyone else asked for proof of height and weight on my second order of 2.5mg ? Gave photo evidence for my first order but now asking for signed stamped proof from my doctor (which will obviously be impossible to get an appointment for that ! What a waste of their time! My bmi has come down as I have lost 7 lbs would this effect it ?

@nickal which provider is this with? I’m going to order soon but a little unsure whether to go for 2.5 or 5 so waiting until I’ve had the second jab. Could you try a different provider?

Asda asked for the details of my GP but I don’t think they actually contacted them - I hope not as I would rather they didn’t know (they can seem a bit judgmental).

Shwingbada · 10/06/2025 13:58

Does anyone else have a slightly odd feeling in the oesophagus/chest after eating? I’ve had some acid reflux but this is different, a hollow but uncomfortable feeling. Maybe it’s just a type of indigestion.

YourPerfectCousin · 10/06/2025 14:04

Well thanks so much for the Me360 tip😐I am utterly traumatised now.

Which is exactly what I needed tbh. The weather is crap and I'm bored and a bit peckish and it's just the kind of afternoon to do some baking and eating of the baking - but having seen my hideous AI figure I think I'm just going to order the 5mg second pen ASAP 😂

nickal · 10/06/2025 14:16

It was pharmacy2U I m confused as it was fine for the first order , I am only on my 3rd jab (today) have I reordered too soon and it’s been flagged up ?

Sisterlove · 10/06/2025 14:26

After reading all the postive updates, I decided to take the plunge with mounjaro. I'm hoping to gain support and give support.

There was a post a couple of weeks ago in AIBU, where someone asked why people wouldn't use it if they had struggles with their weight. She used it and was very happy with it. That was the deciding factor for me. I read up more about mounjaro and decided to go for it.

I looked for an in person provider, as I felt seeing a doctor on a regular basis would keep me on track and accountable even more, by standing on the scales in front of them.

There's a pharmacy a few minutes from my house that does mounjaro. I had my appointment this morning and took my first dose while I was there.

I'm so looking forward to losing the weight and being able to do all the things/ wear all the clothes that I want. I want to be happy to have photos taken and not hide at the back.

I'm looking to lose in the region of 6 stones... the dream would be losing 8½ stones.

Thanks 😊

Can I ask if anyone doesn’t mind sharing what they are eating? I had some porridge at 10.30ish and then 3 satsumas for lunch, I’m starting to feel a bit peckish now 3.15, so thinking I should have had more at lunch. I didn’t fancy anything though. Anyone happy to share their food intake so I can gauge what I should be doing? It’s day 2 (or proper day 1) for me. TIA

Today I’ve had a slice of wholemeal toast and a coffee for breakfast, then a small bowl of granola with skimmed milk for lunch as it’s all I fancied. Feeling okay on that whereas normally I’d have crazy hunger pangs and be reaching for the biscuits by now! I do feel I could have a wee snack right now even though I’m not starving or anything so might have a bit of protein yogurt. Tonight for dinner I’m planning on marinated chicken and roasted veg done in the air fryer.

katand2kits · 10/06/2025 15:29

I had melon and greek yoghurt for breakfast, a fibre one bar as a snack, and a salad with grilled chicken for lunch. Despite having a low carb lunch I'm still feeling quite full up. I think you need to have more than just satsumas for lunch, it's important to get your protein in.

YourPerfectCousin · 10/06/2025 15:31

I'm having a breakfast smoothie with Greek yoghurt and fruit (fresh or frozen, but being guided by MFP about calories and sugar) with chia seeds, then scrambled eggs with an English muffin and a handful of salad for lunch. Dinner is just a very small portion of what I'm making for everyone else. It's 1200 cals according to MFP but I'm not weighing cups of stuff, it's by eye. It says I'm meeting protein levels, generally over slightly with sugar, slightly under with carbs.

theaveragewife · 10/06/2025 15:33

My days usually consist of total Greek yoghurt with berries & granola in the morning, chicken or salmon salad for lunch (have been craving tinned sardines weirdly) and then things like chicken & veg tray bake or steak, broccoli and salad for dinner - have replaced the glass of wine with some noughty de-alcoholised rose which is really lovely. Not sure I’m having enough protein so grabbed some bone broth earlier too.

Hazey19 · 10/06/2025 15:39

Thanks so much everyone!

ShesRunningOutTheDoor · 10/06/2025 15:48

Just did methreesixty thanks for recommending

Looby99 · 10/06/2025 15:55

Hi everyone! Just found this thread, my jabs arrived today and I'm so nervous! Want to take the first dose right away, also shitting myself about it 😂 scared of needles, scared of air bubbles in there (?! great irrational fears), scared of side effects.. but know I need to do it for me and my health! 🙏

maddiemookins16mum · 10/06/2025 16:06

Today I had a small bowl of fruit and fibre, with half a sliced banana and a large dessert spoon of the full fat Greek yoghurt. I had to eat that in two sittings. Lunch was a green salad with a chopped up hard boiled egg and slice of ham, I left some of the salad. Tonight is a small pan fried chicken breast, veg and new potatoes (only a small amount and a quarter of the butter I used to devour with new pots).

Seriestwo · 10/06/2025 16:07

I had 2 bits of wholewheat toast and 2 scrambled eggs for beakfast about 7am and felt queasy - one of each tomorrow, I think. I had a coffee at 1pm and just ate a banana and some Greek yogurt because I need to go to the gym and should eat something. Day2 and I think this is a miracle. I have a headache and am bone tired but something needs to change and this might be it.

Nerdippy · 10/06/2025 16:45

I start the day with a mug of water, then have a small amount of granola (SL suggests up to 40g), with BOB milk and fruit and nuts/seeds (usually blueberries, raspberries, strawberries, banana, pine nuts, pumpkin seeds, maybe a couple of chopped brazils/almonds) and a coffee. Lunch is usually a water with apple and a yoghurt. Dinner tonight will be an omelette with trimmed bacon, mushrooms and onions - not sure about adding some cheese though (would normally). Plus additional water throughout the day. Like another poster, I don't drink much in the evening because I don't want to be visiting the toilet through the night!

Best of luck to the new starters!

moremoremores · 10/06/2025 16:47

Can I ask if anyone doesn’t mind sharing what they are eating?

Breakfast
Overnight oats
Greek yoghurt with granola
Avocado on toast
Eggs on toast
Fruit

Lunch
chicken salad
Salmon salad
Mix my salads up with different cheese/veg

Dinner
lentil soup
some meat with veg
whatever the dc are having but a smaller portion eg spaghetti bol, cottege pie, chicken burger

Snacks
A biscuit
3 squares of choc
pretzels
fruit

I hit about 1300/1400 kcals but eat more on the weekend which is what I wanted (I jab Sunday).

ThisNeedsToWork · 10/06/2025 17:03

I think I need to eat more. I’m only managing about 900 calories. I just don’t feel hungry so I’m trying to listen to my body. I’m not starving myself though and I am eating protein.

D2 (yesterday): No breakfast. Greek yoghurt with all bran at lunchtime, a bowl of strawberries and grapes late afternoon, a banana at teatime then chicken breast with a light bbq coating and steamed broccoli.
D3 (today): No breakfast. Greek yoghurt with protein granola at lunchtime and a banana. Planning to have tuna salad for tea.

JaceLancs · 10/06/2025 17:16

I am on week one - due to have second jab tomorrow and have lost 4.5lb so far
I am using Shemed so not sure what I have to do for second jab - can anyone help?
Week one I had to scan bar code wait for operator then do a live weigh in, but administered jab on my own after finishing call which worked ok
Only side effect was a one off evening/overnight of bad reflux, heartburn etc
My basic eating has hardly changed at all, although I am feeling fuller sooner, the huge difference is I am not interested in snacking or drinking alcohol
I am quite limited in what I eat anyway due to IBS and allergies (currently following FODMAP) and try and stay healthy
Today I had a handful of raspberries and a black coffee for breakfast, lunch was GF crackers, with dairy free soft cheese and lettuce, with a cup a soup and a few strawberries
Dinner tonight will be a small helping of whatever I decide to cook for the household

Xmasfairy86 · 10/06/2025 17:17

I don’t tend to eat breakfast
lunch today has been a salmon and Philly bagel, added seeds, and twiglets
dinner - smaller portions of whatever everyone else eats. Last night was gnocchi and pork meatballs and garlic bread. Had the salad leaves not been soggy I would have had salad with it 😂

I have been a bit snacky today but I am due on imminently so could be that
