Hi everyone!

I started MJ around this time last year, but due to costs and unforeseen family circumstances, I fell of the band wagon and took about 6 months off. I’m now a stone heavier than I was. I am back and ready to go again. First pen, back to 2.5mg, arriving tomorrow or Friday.

I found the last thread I was on very supportive so wondered if there’s a few people around who want to join me!

Just done my first injection. Was pleasantly surprised by how painless it was!

Ok so I have some questions already. I took my first injection this afternoon, is this W1D1 or will that be tomorrow? And should I feel anything by now or more likely tomorrow? I’m really thirsty but don’t know if it’s because I just am or because I’ve read this chat? 😂 can it work so soon? TIA

I call it day one personally. And I go into my 4th week soon and still don’t feel any difference. Everyone is different. Some people feel the affects straight away. Some are a bit poorly, others feel next to nothing.

4pm and just managed a Malted Milk biscuit which is my first food of the day.
Never felt this ill before.

Oh gosh poor you. “Just” nausea or vomiting too?

Card1gan · 09/06/2025 18:15

I’ve just jabbed for the first time so would like to join the June jabbers, please! I’m really concerned about feeling nauseous and being sick. That is my body’s default reaction to anything it doesn’t like (pregnancy, anaesthetic, lots of medicines). Fingers crossed it works for me, and all of you who want the same outcome 🤞

I am exactly the same. And yes, I’ve felt very nauseous the last 5 days, just like morning sickness. It seems to have abated today and weirdly I can feel some food noise creep back in too (I have had ZERO - and I mean ZERO - hunger or want to eat food since the morning after I jabbed.

No vomiting though.

I’m hoping my second dose tomorrow evening doesn’t put me back to square one…

Chellooo · 09/06/2025 18:22

W1D6 and I am starving!! I'm due my period soon so I'm thinking that has a lot to do with it but christ I can't wait for the next jab

Thesheerrelief · 09/06/2025 18:46

W1D7 and I've felt hungry today. Which actually felt strange after the last week! Very tired due to a hectic weekend so yay might have an impact. Looking forward to the second jab tomorrow

Thesheerrelief · 09/06/2025 18:52

*that might have an impact (not yay 😅)

Diamonddebs · 09/06/2025 19:50

W1D1 Jabbed this morning at 9am. Straightforward and didn’t hurt. I was shocked by how much I had to keep turning the pen to get to 1 😧 and by mid afternoon was having regular burps but sugar free polos seemed to help. Not feeling that interested in food. Had a high protein evening meal and forcing myself to drink water. Wondering if anyone has “just in case” items in their bags when out? Any thoughts?

Oh no,so sorry to hear this you’ve been unwell for 5 days out of 7. Really hope you don’t go through the same again this week.

I was the same on my W1D6, I nearly ate my own hand and ended up making our evening meal at 4.30pm as I couldn’t wait any longer.

lyinginthebathpondering · 09/06/2025 20:39

@Card1ganthank you Flowers

I am actually glad the food noise is beginning to creep in today as I had visions of never being able to eat forever more 😂

I was thinking I'd keep some tuna and Babybels or similar in the fridge at work incase I feel hungry.
I've felt okay today - wondering if day two might be more challenging.
I'm used to time restricted eating, so would not normally eat before late afternoon. I assume if appetite is reduced, I'd be better to eat more frequently?

I’ve found Ryvifa thins (salt and vinegar) perfect for when I’ve had nausea…but imagine they’d be nice to nibble on if peckish too

shifting12345 · 09/06/2025 22:30

DH and I finally did our first before dinner tonight! He won’t tell me any numbers to share with you 😅

EmmaPoppins · 09/06/2025 22:38

Week 1 done and 5lbs down!

i've been using the Voy app, which focuses on healthy eating and protein levels rather than calorie counting, protein is a new concept for me.

I've upped my exercise, I normally walk a lot and do 10,000 to 12,000 steps a day as I have a dog, so out and about with him but went swimming twice, and a couple of cardio sessions at the gym.

Felt jab was wearing off at the weekend, but really enjoyed my chicken Sunday roast! Earlier in the week, all food I felt I could take it or leave it so was nice to really enjoy a meal but still have the great weight loss this morning.

Keep going everyone, onwards and downwards.

Those having sickness/side effects I really hope they pass soon.

Elsiedarlingputthekettleon · 10/06/2025 00:26

Hi everyone, some fab losses, well done! 😁 For everyone asking about priming, my instructions that came with the kit from the pharmacy say to prime every time you change the needle. Is anyone else using Simple Online Pharmacy? Do they contact you for your next dose, or do you contact them? Just wondering when I should be thinking of ordering if they don't contact me via email? Thanks 🙂

YouAndMeVsTheWorld · 10/06/2025 06:54

Hello everyone

I’ve just started today, I’m another one based in Australia. But as an Englisher who’s been on this site since before I moved here I’d like to stay with you chaps if that’s ok.

looking to say farewell to 20kg, here we go.

Mich57 · 10/06/2025 07:16

notagainyoufool · 09/06/2025 15:30

I primed the needle again when I took my second dose. I’m due my 3rd 2.5mg dose tomorrow.
I’ve order 5mg for next month.
I haven’t really had many side effects, thankfully. I did find a couple of days this week the food noise came back a bit, however I’m 6lbs down so far for this week.

What's priming the needle?! ☺️

Hazey19 · 10/06/2025 07:18

Just updating. Did my first injection at 1.30pm yesterday. Didn’t sleep very well but that’s normal. Have woken up feeling sick and have had a couple of tiny sulphur burps. I wasn’t sure if I had actually injected properly but I must have if these have started. Last ate at 5.30pm last night. My weight is 14.8 which is the heaviest I have ever been and I’m peri menopausal which hasn’t helped. Not sure what I need/want to lose, but at least two dress sizes would be amazing. Good luck everyone starting the same time as me and those continuing their journey x

Priming the needle instructions. Photo won't show straight away.

Taking my 2nd jab today!

SW 109.9kg
CW 107.7kg

So 2.2kg down (or 4.85lb)

For a week where I have felt zero hunger and consistently ate less that 1300 cals per day (which is a massive deficit for me) I’m happy with that.

I did have pretty bad headache with nausea at the beginning but I also regularly get migraines which make me feel exactly like that so I can’t work out if it was the MJ or just one of my usual episodes.

Anyway, shall inject again tonight and hope for the best!

SparklyFinch · 10/06/2025 07:45

Did my third jab yesterday evening but only weighed in today. A bit disappointed again. I was waiting to see what happened at this weigh in to decide if I move up a dose or not but I am definitely going to. I have no side effects and no suppression, I feel completely normal. I’ve had a bit of a heavy week (meal out Thursday and Friday, takeaway Saturday, friends bbq Sunday) so not surprised at my tiny loss, but I ate just as much as usual at all of those.
Well done to everyone on all your losses!! You’re doing so great!

Week 1 complete and have lost approx 7lbs, 2nd jab tonight. I got through the tiredness last week and managed a swim last night. Interested to see what this 2nd week will be like...

averythinline · 10/06/2025 07:59

Week 2 half way through and suppression not as much as wk1 but thats psychological i think ..its there but it's mainly me making portion size decisions rather than changing what i eat as much... Which is good as that's a real issue but thinking about next dose am interested in how people are doing 3.75 as that would make sense to me in terms of steps..so am investigating that....

I jab mid morning as that's when it arrived and wanted to bite the bullet! Is there a reason people are jabbing at night? Is that just to avoid side effects?
