Is anyone else suffering aching legs?

Yes I am, mostly in bed at night, was so unbearable this morning I got up at 6am, strangely though I don't think it's listed as a side effect 🤔

Woodywig · 26/05/2025 15:47

thanks @Iggy35 & @lissie123 can’t really believe that first month is done and it’s time to
move up the dose! It’s gone really quick.

I think I’m just going to go straight go for the 5 and hope for the best. I would be pleased with a bit more suppression than I’ve had so far. I think that will help the weight loss along. 🤞🏼

Fatrosrhun · 26/05/2025 15:52

Those getting headaches - try drinking more water? I haven’t had many side effects but did get a slight headache on day two, which went with a good drink of water.

Gosh, me too! I’ve upped my magnesium but it’s not helping much.

Fedupoftheshits · 26/05/2025 15:54

@Bellee11@LolojI’m Week 1 day 4 and have also been so tired, I feel like I could spend a lot of the day in bed (not possible with kids to entertain) I took myself up for a nap yesterday which is unheard of for me. I’ve also been getting a few headaches too. Hoping to feel more energetic soon.

FurryAnimal · 26/05/2025 16:01

I don't take magnesium at the moment, maybe I should start, see if it helps.

Apprenante · 26/05/2025 16:12

I've had my first two pens (just about to start the second one) from Medexpress. Not only do they seem to have supply issues but they are also more expensive than many other providers.

So today I filled in the application with Pillsorted which will be about £50 cheaper for the first pen I buy from them. All fine but I need to have a video consultation to prove I'm an old, fat, short woman. Can anyone tell me what the consultation is likely to involve? I've booked it for Friday morning and I'd like to make sure I'm prepared with whatever I need.

ElsieJay · 26/05/2025 16:18

Just been sent this by a friend who saw it on a Weightwatchers members chat forum .
It resonated with her, and me, and I think will do so with many of us on here .

Really? I order with PillSorted and just had to send a full body view video, no consultation.

I got my last pen from Pillsorted. The video consult was very straightforward and only took a few minutes. You will need to download the Teams app on your phone if you don't have it already as that's how they make contact.

The pharmacist asked me how I was doing, then she asked me to stand on my scales with my phone focussed on the readout. She asked if I had any concerns, gave me some useful advice about protein, and that was it!

I think I’ll also switch providers. Got a really “helpful” message from medexpress saying that it was clinically ok to miss a dose. Not really the point, since they’ve had my money since the 19th and still not dispatched! Just sent me my goddamn pen!!!!

Hi all,

quick question for those in week four. Are you going straight up to 5mg next shot? Or are you planning on an intermediate dose to get you used to the higher strength.

my next shot is in a few days and should be the 5. I haven’t had side effects or much suppression 2.5. But I do feel full
more quickly and with lots of effort - I’ve lost around 1kg per week.

i’m thinking of taking as prescribed - and going straight up to 5. Would love to know what others are planning / doing.

Thanks

@Woodywig I'm due dose 5 on Friday and am planning to get what I can out of my golden dose, hopefully a little more than 2.5 and see how that goes. And then go to around 3/3.5 I think.

I've still got enough suppression to not eat inbetween meals but not too much that I don't want to eat at all.

So currently it's a good balance and I'm a little worried that a larger dose might disrupt that, hence my plan for baby increases.

I've also been losing at around 2lbs a week, similar to you.

SaintAgatha · 26/05/2025 17:30

@Woodywig I’ve stayed at 2.5mg for this month, as the food noise was entirely wiped out on that dose and suppression was decent. I’ll probably go up to 5mg in time for the school holidays.

GeraniumRoseblush · 26/05/2025 17:39

@Apprenante I ordered my 5mg pen from Pillsorted and had a video consultation without my video working 🤣🤣 tech issues obvs.

However I'd also managed to send them a video of me standing on the scales and taking a height measurement so she said she didn't actually need to see me as she was happy with my videos and so we just talked about a few side effects. So basically I imagine she'll just want to see you stand on scales and confirm your height.

Mounraine · 26/05/2025 17:43

How did you “prove” your height?

Funny how they’ve suddenly started saying this when their stocks are low.

i was originally going to go with them but after reading people grumbling on their Facebook pages about non deliveries I went elsewhere.

chickennoodledoodle · 26/05/2025 18:30

Hello ladies, I’m so grateful to find some support here. I can’t understand some of the short hand terms but I’m sure I’ll get the hang of it eventually.
I’ve just finished my first round of Mounjaro … I felt absolutely nothing on first 2 jabs so I doubled up the last two 🫣 and now I do actually feel an effect, namely just more full. Looking forward to reading all the posts on this thread.

chickennoodledoodle · 26/05/2025 18:44

Loloj · 16/05/2025 17:15

Well I took my jab at 10am this morning and I’m trying to figure out if I feel less hungry or not!

I just can’t really tell if my hunger is suppressed or if I’m eating less because psychologically I’ve just spent £150 for the month! Anyone the same?

Yep… it’s fooks with your brain I’m sure 😵‍💫

chickennoodledoodle · 26/05/2025 18:46

Weightlossprincess · 16/05/2025 17:19

So yesterday was my week 1 day 7. I weighed in the morning and was thrilledto have lost ovwr 8 pounds in my first week.

However I had zero suppression yesterday.

Went out for a friend's birthday curry last night and ate the same amount I'd have eaten before starting ( a curry, half a naan and half a rice), which is hugely more than I've eaten all week, but not excessive.

Took 2nd jab yesterday evening.

When i weighed this morning, I've put 2.5 pounds on since yesterday !!!! How is thia possible? That would have required me to have eaten about 9000 calories yesterday!
I feel like crying.
Can't even blame constipation, as i had a poo last night😥

This is why I won’t be weighing myself tbh. Too many factors can affect those scales. Water retention being one of them. Try not to let it get you down, you’ve still lost which is is the main thing x

chickennoodledoodle · 26/05/2025 18:51

ElsieJay · 16/05/2025 18:55

@Weightlossprincess - brilliant, thank you!
@Kipperandarthur - think I’ve made a rod for my own back by trying to keep it a secret, - even with the insulated pack I’ll be needing to stash it in different fridges as we move between family members.
Equally I absolutely don’t want to go off the rails or risk the MJ becoming less effective if I take the stop-start approach .
Aaaargghh ! WHY didn’t I get on board with this months ago ….🙄.

I’m the same! No one knows about it. I’d e kept the entire package in a drawer in my room. As long as it doesn’t get excessively hot it’s fine. Good luck 🤞

ElsieJay · 26/05/2025 19:05

@chickennoodledoodle - thank you, and welcome to the thread !
I’ve found it very friendly and supportive, which I think you probably need even more if you’ve no-one to discuss the jabs with in real life .

Fatrosrhun · 26/05/2025 19:11

@Weightlossprincess you won’t really have put 2.5lbs on overnight. Scales will be different each day (I weighed myself yesterday morning and this morning and there was 1.5lbs difference). Tomorrow is my day 7 and that’s going to be my weigh in day. I’m not going to peek inbetween because you just get on a downer if it changes. Plus there will be times that you hit a plateau even when you’ve been good. The weight loss doesn’t give weekly regular results. Sometimes it catches up a week or two later. We just have to learn to hold our nerve and keep plodding onward.
And your curry was probably quite salty, which might retain a bit of water weight for a day or two. Don’t worry- you’re obviously going the right way and doing well…

DidILeaveTheGasOn · 26/05/2025 19:31

Just had my first gym class! It was amazing, everyone was lovely, unfortunately I'm now dead.
